Summer is fast upon us. Time to make plans for whether you continue your current schedule of hosting or guesting, change things up a bit, or a take a much-needed break.
Today's conversation is from my friend Amy Debrucque’s podcast, Life on Purpose. She invited me to be her guest to talk about savoring summer as a podcaster with ideas for repurposing content, airing solo episodes and even collaborating with other podcasters like Amy and I did.
We pray it is a blessing to you!

As an author podcaster, your goal is to serve your listeners well, invite them to join your email list, and to buy your book long before and long after it releases.
So how do you measure success on your podcast? You might be surprised to learn that download numbers are only a vanity metric of podcasting. They feel good, but they're not telling you the whole story.
So let’s talk about the importance of the consumption rate, and how much of your episode your target reader is really listening to.

We often talk about marketing your book before it's published but what does that really look like? Especially on a podcast?
That’s the question we’re answering today with my special guest, Billie Jauss. Billie is the author of several books including Baseball Family: Nine Core Qualities for Developing Healthy Relationships, and she also hosts The Family Room podcast. Billie is married to a professional baseball coach and has three adult sons also employed in the sport. Needless to say this girl knows a lot about baseball and family.
This is Billie’s first time as a guest but you may be familiar with her name as I shared tips from her as a podcast host on episodes 124 and 100 because she is so generous and full of wisdom!
Billie shares how she identifies her target readers’ pain points and connection points to share her book in a way that’s serving her readers not selling to them on podcasts.
