017. An Interview with Caleb McCoy: "A Time for Opportunity Not for Reaction"
Show Notes

I have known Caleb McCoy's family for 40 years.  I have known Caleb for 4.  The first time I spoke with him, I could sense God's anointing on his life.  He carries something of God's presence and favor.

When I've seen him sing - or listened to his music, I have sensed a depth and forthrightness that is real and valuable.

  • Caleb has a vision to embrace the tensions of our day - and to press into them, rather than just run from them or react to them.
  • He values diversity and wants to amplify the voices and messages of those who are not traditionally given a platform - or an ear.
  • He has a heart for those who struggle with feeling lonely and/or left out.

In this podcast, we discuss urban Christian culture vs, colonized Christian culture, exploring new ways of thinking, an abundance mentality vs. one of scarcity, and the importance of collaboration.

Amidst the busyness and pressures of urban living, Caleb has found silence and contemplation to be restorative and grounding.  Sometimes you just have to turn off the music and the input.
