Here’s your some advice to keeping your internet connected devices up to date. The threat landscape is such that you need to check for updates at least twice a week. You want to eliminate as many vulnerabilities as you can these days. Especially if the devices are used for work or at work. If you have a website, then you need to check for updates if you are using a CMS and plugins. If you haven’t enable 2FA to your sites, now is the time.

     
Set an appointment in your calendar, or to do list, to do this twice a week. If the devices you own connect to the internet you can be sure that there will be software and hardware updates. All those remote cameras and IoT devices have frequent firmware and software updates, too.

     
Keeping your apps,OS’s and firmware updated is critical to safe computing and internet use. Most intenet devices have an auto-update features, but it won’t always work as promised.  Sometimes it’s better to have auto updates turned off, but only do so if you follow this tip.
