John 15:7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
#1) God is not a genie, abiding in Him changes us. We begin to desire what He desires.
#2) Just because you ask for something doesn't mean you should get it.
What makes this concept so difficult in verse seven? We're afraid to ask because we don't know what will happen. We're afraid to ask because we might get what we wanted or needed.
This verse is empowering, yet we don't always realize it.
