We best understand the Old Testament through the New Testament and vice-versa. For example, Jesus’ life, ministry, death and resurrection are echoed in this Old Testament story of David’s suffering. Understanding David’s story helps us understand Jesus’ story and the result is we do not lose heart because of our own sufferings.
