Gratitude For God’s Protection
SPEAKER_02He has kept us since most of you were together over the mission last weekend. The Lord has been good. He has continued to watch over me. And I'm so glad to be able to connect and join you this morning. His mercy has been upon our lives, even if we have traveled in many places since last weekend. But God's grace has been sufficient, and I'm so happy to be here this very morning. As we go to pray, we also thank God for the prayers that happened on Saturday. Again, the request we are getting, God was gracious. And we continue to pray because the times that we are living are not easy. They are not easy times. First of all, we really thank God for his grace over the weekend. It was a beautiful mission. We saw many, many decisions for the Lord. And most of you who are there, you know, you can really, really testify that God moved and he was able
Mission Weekend And A School Tragedy
SPEAKER_02to really minister to the community and grant us mercies, even as we ministered under very, very difficult circumstances. We also thank God for being enabling us to be there. We had an incident where one of the students was hit by an ambulance on his way home on Saturday after the meeting that we held on their way to school, on their way home. And we we thank God that the funeral ended yesterday, and the family is comforted. The report I got is that the county government has taken full responsibility for what happened. It was a county government vehicle, and the government has taken full responsibility for that. And we just thank, you know, just thank God for that family and we pray that the Lord will comfort them. But even just to thank God for all of you for having been there in person to comfort that school during what was a very, very difficult time, especially on uh on Saturday when the news came to the school. Um we thank God for you know for us just being there uh to support the school, uh, to help them overcome what was a very, very difficult uh thing for them. And let's just continue to uphold them uh in Jesus' name. Yeah, so that's um, you know, we thank God for that. Thank you also for the cooperation. Um, it was a massive mission. We've never done anything like that again uh before, doing two missions in two schools at the same time, uh, deploying half a you know almost 50% of our team members in one school and the others on another one. We've never done um something like that before, but never under in this scale. Um, and so we thank God for uh you know your extraordinary effort that made this possible, and we're going to be looking at how we can use that model going forward so that we can improve and increase uh um this the

Middle East War News And Its Impact
SPEAKER_02God for that. And as you all know, if you have been following on the news, um yesterday, um, you know, another you know, war has broken up in the Middle East with Iran and America and Israel um, you know, in at war. I think if you have not been following the news, um the the the the uh I the leader, the supreme leader of Iran and his top uh generals were killed yesterday in a US airstrike. And that has uh resulted in uh basically the most of the Middle East with missiles flying all over, you know, retaliatory strikes in in the UAE. Um the the Iranians have hit Israel, they have hit Dubai, they have hit uh Doha, uh they've hit um Um Kuwait. Um basically targeting any country uh where America has basis. And as you can all imagine, that's quite um, you know, uh something that is extraordinary. Um and um, you know, we as it unfolds, our role is just to pray. And these are things that we hope we'll never see them in our in our in our lifetime, but they're just breaking up here as we see, as we watch. Um, and all these things, as we have always said, they have prophesied in the Bible. Um, we are truly, truly, truly living in the last days. It's now no longer even rumors of war, but the wars are here. Nobody knows um how it's going to end. Um you know, nobody knows how it's going to pan out, how it's going to end. But what we can do is to pray. That's the role that God has given unto us. We can pray um that God will defend his people, um, that God will defend the righteous. Uh, in in Psalms chapter 37, Psalms 37, verses 39 to 40, the Bible says the Lord saves the righteous and protects them in times of trouble. He helps them and rescues them. He saves them from the wicked because they go to him for protection. Uh, we have to lean on God's word, and God's word promises us that he is a protector of the righteous uh because they go to him uh for protection. And so uh this morning, even as we go uh to uh continue the service, I'll be calling on us just to spend a few minutes in prayer. Let's pray for um you know for you know these events that are happening all over. You know, sometimes you can you can see uh a war that is happening in the Middle East, you can think uh that the war is far away. And you can say, oh, that's happening in Iran, it's happening in the Middle East. What has it got to do uh with us here in Africa or um you know in this part of the world? But let me tell you, wars have consequences. By the time um, you know, that war settles down. By the time we know which way it will go, nobody knows um what's going to happen to um, you know, the oil price, as you as you all know, almost a third of the oil that we consume in all over the world comes out of that strait of almost, uh where now missiles are flying all over. And you can imagine what that will do on the oil price. Uh by the time uh things settle down, that oil price will end up uh with us um wherever you are. And so these events are happening very far away in the Middle East. Um, but um the the the you know the consequences end up at home. We have many, many brethren in the Middle East, um, in the Middle East, um, whether it's a UAE, Dubai, you have many, many family members that are working in that area. And you can imagine if you're in a place like Doha or in the UAE, um, which is one of the largest uh transit points of travel in the world, and missiles are raining over the airport, uh, raining over those skyscrapers in Dubai. You don't know which way the missile is going to hit next, and you are in the 100th floor of a building, uh, that can be um very traumatizing. So we need to pray um and not think this thing is far away. Uh before long, you'll see it right here at home uh when we begin to see the consequences of all these things happening. So we need to pray uh that peace shall prevail. And the word of God promises us that uh He is a defender of the righteous. In Psalms chapter 5, verses 2, the Bible says, For thou will bless the righteous, O Lord, thou will compass him with favor as his shield. And so this morning, we want to pray that the Lord's favor, the Lord's, um the Lord will encompass the righteous in this region as this war rages on the Bible says that I guess you may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, and you know that this that some will fall on your left, on the right, but the righteous will be able to triumph. So that's gonna be our prayer. The Lord remember the righteous, even in this region, as this war continues. In Proverbs chapter 2, verses 8, the Bible says that he keepeth the path of judgment and preserve the way of his saints. And so we're going to pray that the Lord will preserve his people, he'll protect Israel, um, he'll protect um his righteous based, you know, in this region, and he'll have mercy, and that this war will not extend uh beyond, um, you know, will not extend, and sanity will prevail, um, and um, you know, we trust that the Lord will come through for his people. In Proverbs chapter 2, verses 8, the Bible says, He keepeth the path of judgment and preserves the way of his saints. So we go to pray that the Lord will preserve his saints in the region, but most important, he'll also touch the hearts of the leaders, uh, that they will understand that it's vanity uh to keep fighting, uh, to keep demanding the death of people, and that peace shall be able to prevail. In Psalms 37, verse 17, the Bible says, For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. Um, so we're going to pray that in this region, all over the world, as these missiles land and reign all over, uh the Lord will protect uh his people, he will uphold the righteous uh even in this region. And in 2 Thessalonians chapter 3, verses 3, the Bible says, But the Lord is faithful, he will establish you and guard you against the evil one. And we're going to pray that even as these things unfold, God is going to protect people, it's going to protect us, it's going to protect Africa, it's going to protect uh his people all over the world, and that peace shall prevail. And we're not going to have an escalation of this war, which clearly um, you know, no one knows. But I guess you all know you know these things don't take God by surprise. It's not like God is sitting up there in heaven and wondering, hey, what have they just done? What have they done? The Lord is in control. Uh, the you know, is it control of everything that's happening? Is it control? This thing don't take him by surprise. And for us is to lean on scripture and say, what does the Lord say about this, even as
Guided Prayer For Peace And Protection
SPEAKER_02we pray? So before we go to share today's word, I want to invite us just to spend a few minutes in prayer. As we pray, let's lift up our brothers and sisters in the Middle East right now. We have churches all over there, we have brethren, we have relatives, we have family members, um, you know, in that whole region. Let's pray for Israel, let's pray for even Iran and the Iranian people, that maybe this will be the opportunity to seek peace, um, you know, to stop, you know, just that it'll be an opportunity, a window of opportunity to seek peace as opposed to fighting, and that, you know, the Holy Spirit of God will prevail. And maybe beyond this, we're going to see a more peaceful world as the Lord enables us. So I'm going to request that we just unmute, uh, spend another 10 minutes or so. Let us pray. Um, as we pray, let's also thank God for each one of us. Let's pray um, you know, for the uh the people that God saved for the weekend. We continue to uphold them. Let's um, you know, just also pray uh for the coming mission weekend, funding weekend. It's an important weekend for us as a ministry. As we gather in Mombasa on Saturday, you know, on Sunday in Nairobi. Um, this weekend determines what we do as a ministry. As we sacrificially step forward and give our financing, uh, make it available for the work of God so that we don't have to be doing fundraisings every day as we continue to serve Him. So very, very important weekend for us as a ministry, and we just want to pray that everything will go as planned. Uh, he'll give us journey masses as we travel all over the place, but more so even as we meet the presence of God will be ready in Mombasa on Saturday in Nairobi as well. And that God will see, will will show us faithful uh during this weekend. So I'm going to invite us, let's spend just 10 or so minutes in prayer, praying for those items, praying for peace as I've just indicated, and then I'll come down to share God's word as we close up. So 15 or so 20 minutes, let's intercede together, let's put our faith together, brethren. Um, you know, you know, these things are happening in front of our eyes. These are things that we thought, oh, they may never happen, but here they are, and falling right in front of us. And so we are a generation privileged to see these things and having the knowledge to pray. Uh, for God has blessed us here at such a time as this to interceed. And don't underestimate the power of prayer. Don't underestimate your prayer today, this morning, as we pray that for de-escalation, as we pray um that uh you know these things will not escalate, uh, sanity will prevail, protection will be there for his people and our people and the righteous all over the Middle East and all over the world where they are trying to um you know throw missiles at, and that this will end and we'll have a better world, um, a better place to live, a better place that we can be able to preach and take many more people to the you know to heaven. We thank you, Jesus. As we just go to pray, uh we want to just um pray that the Lord will actually intervene Himself. This is an event that a lot of countries are prepared for. Uh, they've prepared the West has prepared for this day. They have done drills, Iran has prepared for this day, Israel has been preparing for this day, the Americans are preparing for this day to happen. They have prepared all sorts of scenarios, what to do the day that this war breaks out. But we are going to pray that God will prevail. You know, these are all the plans of man, and they may have all those plans. Everybody's people are predicting this is now the beginning of the third world war. It is here, it has come, is with us. And we want to pray that the prediction of man will fail, and God himself will show himself as God. We want to say no to a third world war, we want to say no to bloodshed. We want to, we know the enemy is the one that comes to kill, to steal, and to destroy. And that has that has always been his plan. And it'll be his plan to see bloodshed, to see you know, people dying millions is always the plan of the enemy because then he wins, but we want to come against those prophecies of another third world war, and that that you know, God is going to intervene, and whatever people are predicting will not happen, that God's will is going to prevail over this situation. It doesn't matter how many times, how many years people have rehearsed, they have drilled you know every single army in the world has been preparing for this. The day that all breaks out between America, Israel, and Iran, and it just started. But we want to pray that God will prevail, that the plans of man fail, that God's own will prevail, and all the prophecies that are coming out will be doomed, and God's unwill will prevail in Jesus' name. And so, Father, this morning we bow in your presence and you've kept us alive at a time as this. And you want to pray right now, Father, your word promises us protection for the righteous. And Lord, as we've seen in Psalms 37, that indeed that you are able to save the righteous and protect them in times of trouble. And Lord, we want to stand on that word, and we want to pray for your protection over your people, protection over Israel, protection over the righteous people all over the world, including Iran, and that Jehovah God, you're going to show yourself as God. So we pray that you'll save us uh from another third world, from another lately world. We pray that this world shall not shall not be sat into our wall. Uh, in in and that you'll prevail, that your will will prevail in Jesus' name. Your word in Psalms 5.12 promises that that you bless the righteous. And so we pray right now, even in the midst of all this that's happening, Lord, you'll bless the righteous, you'll uphold um your people, and that Jehovah God will come out strong and powerful. Um, in Proverbs 2.8, you tell us that you keep the paths of judgment and you preserve the way of your saints. This morning we pray that you preserve the way of your people. Oh, you are all over the world. There are people calling upon your name. The churches pray, and we ask that, Lord, you'll hear, you'll come down and you will hear the cry of your people. And we promise that that all honor and all glory will be back to you. So we cancel the plans of the enemy, the plans to shed blood, to kill people, and then we pray that you will prevail over every situation. We pray for all the nations in the Middle East as they react, as they rally together, as they form coalitions to defend and fight, Lord. We pray that you will you'll prevail in the decision that they are taking. And also we pray, Lord, you'll take the hearts of the people, the hearts of the leaders, and that Jehovah Father, you'll in you'll interfere with their minds, that Lord, your will will prevail to the glory and honor of your name. We pray. Uh, even for all the saints all over the Middle East right now. Um, Lord, the families are there. We pray that you remember them, you'll keep every family member safe, and that Lord, um, no arm shall be for them. We thank you and we honor you in Jesus' name. Amen and amen and amen. Amen. Amen.
Extraordinary Possibilities Require Extra
SPEAKER_02Let me uh allow me to just share uh the word. Um, I'm going to be reading a couple of scriptures. Um, but we have been uh looking at um um our theme for the year, uh the year of extraordinary possibilities, and uh we are beginning to see uh we um God moving in extraordinary ways in our lives, and um I want to build on that you know the uh this theme extraordinary possibilities, and I want to specifically uh just talk about the power uh of extra, extra, extra, as we said uh in the in the past, um an extraordinary life, an extraordinary life, an extraordinary ministry, an extraordinary church, an extraordinary nation is a place where people understand what that means. And when you look at uh the whole theme of extraordinary possibilities, uh for you to have an extraordinary life, an extraordinary ministry, church, an extraordinary family, it is always good to take extra. Extra prayer. That's why you see us rallying together uh in prayer and being found in prayer, uh praying extraordinary prayer. Prayer is the only way that God interferes with what's happening in the world uh here. The only way God can come to intervene here on earth is when men and women call Him in through prayer. And so it's gonna take extraordinary prayer, it's gonna take extraordinary serving. Um, you know, we will not have had the extraordinary mission last weekend if we do not have people stepping up to serve in an extraordinary way, so it's gonna take extraordinary serving. Um, again, if we are going to have an extraordinary year 2026, it's gonna take extraordinary giving. This weekend we have an opportunity to uh to give, and it's gonna take us to do extra giving. For you for us to have an extraordinary day, funding day, it's gonna take us stepping up to do extra, doing more, going the you know the extra, extra mile. It takes extra sacrifice. Whenever you see things going well, uh things working, it always takes extraordinary sacrifice. So whenever you find anything extraordinary, whether it's a ministry, whether it is um, you know, uh facilities, uh, whether it is a church, there is always something, somebody who is willing to go the extra mile. So if we are willing to do the extra, then we'll see and enjoy the extraordinary. So for you to enjoy the extraordinary, you must be willing to go the extra man. And I pray. This year, 2026, that spirit of the extra is going to fall on all of us so that we can do extraordinary prayer, extra prayer, extra serving, extra giving, extra sacrifice. And as we do all these things, we're going to end up with an extraordinary ministry in the midst of everything that is happening all around us. So I want to encourage us to really, really desire to make that a way for our life. Now, um, for as we look through that, the Bible says in Psalms chapter 37, verses 18 to 21, uh, Psalms 37, 18 to 21, it says, the days of the blameless are known to the Lord, and their inheritance will endure forever. In times of disaster, they will not wither. In days of famine, they will enjoy plenty, but the wicked will perish. The Lord's enemies will be like the beauty of the fields, they will vanish. Vanish
Godly People Refuse The Minimum
SPEAKER_02like smoke. And then first 21 says, The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously. The righteous go the extra mile. So the the the point I'm making here is our point is that if you are willing to do extra, is all the willingness to do extra is always the sign of a godly person. It's always a sign of a godly person. Willing to go the extra mile. In this case, here the Bible is saying that the righteous, uh the wicked will borrow and do not repay. But the righteous give generously. So it's you know, in this case, it's not that the wicked don't have the money to repay, but they don't have the heart to pay back. Um, and so but the the righteous um have the heart to give back, they give generously. And so the uh the the you know the willingness basically to do extra is always a sign of a godly person. Godly people, when you talk about being godly, um, godly people will call the extra mile. Godly people don't do the minimum. There are a lot of people in the world today who are just doing the bare minimum. We are thinking of seeing the employees uh who get employed in a place and they just do the bare minimum. The bare minimum. Yeah, we don't get paid enough here. So I'm just going to give it just enough. Just enough. Those are the employees who will show up, you know, to work just two minutes before eight. They don't want even to give the company an extra minute. They say, no, no, no, I'll just arrive on them at eight. And when the time clocks at five, which is when the time is about, they are out of the door. They do not want even to give them an extra minute to that to that to that company. Um, Christians don't work like that. Um, you know, we don't give the minimum, we go the extra mile. We try to, we, we don't try to get away with things. Um just because no one is seeing. No, we don't work like that. We give more than is expected because it's not about people seeing. We serve a God who sees us. Uh, our our our respect and our honor is not to our employers. Our honor is unto God. And so we give more, we go the extra mile. So our willingness to do extra is always the sign of a godly um person. Uh, and we as Christians should never be found doing just the bare minimum. That's why when we wake up every day, we don't just say, hey, well, you know, I'm only you know, go to do the bare minimum to just tick a box that you know I've worked. No, no, we go the extra mile. We don't work because of what we get paid. We work because uh God is in us. And that's what distinguishes us as Christians and godly people. So let us not be people that are reluctant to give um, you know, what we owe. I think in this case, he says the wicked borrow and they do not repay. And so if you borrow, you pay back. The righteous pay back. Do not be reluctant to give what you owe. And that's why we encourage to be a give givers. We are encouraged to give the work of God, to give more and more, so that we can be able to build an incredible life.
A Generosity Lesson From Ice Cream
SPEAKER_02I was reading the story um, you know, for another young young boy, a little boy who went to buy ice cream. And he was, you know, when you pick a few coins from you know, your dad, your mom, you, you know, she had managed he had managed to pick a few coins to just have to be able to afford an ice cream. And maybe maybe some of you have done that during your lifeline where you save, save, save to buy that thing you really love to buy during our days. We would save to buy a you know, to buy a Coca-Cola, cold drink, and you know, would go there and buy, just be able to buy a cold drink and spell those of us who in Mombasa to get a soda bariding or something that was like um miraculous. So anyway, this young boy saved enough coins to be able to go and buy an ice cream. So when he had enough, he went to this ice cream store carrying all those coins, and then he stands in the line uh waiting to buy the ice cream. Um, and he goes, he eventually he reaches the counter, it is his turn, and then because he's carrying coins only, he asked the person selling the ice cream, you know, how much is that um ice cream and with chocolate? Because he wanted the one with chocolate. And the the the waiter told the young boy, oh, that one is 13 uh is 13, you know, 0.5 um dollars or something like that. Then the boy turns and said, and what about the plain one, the one without chocolate? He says, Ah, that one is ten dollars. Um, then the little boy then is counting his coins, so he's holding everybody on the line, and people are getting impatient. Then finally the boy says, Okay, just give me the one without chocolate, the one for ten dollars. And so he the waiter gives the boy the ice cream without chocolate, and the boy takes over, and then um he he goes to sit down to eat his ice cream at the corner. The boy eats, and then now the waiter comes to pick uh to bring the bill. Um, and the young boy uh removes the you know the $10 and gives the waiter, and uh he gives the waiter an uh a tip of $3.5. And then the waiter stands there and he realizes oh, you mean this boy actually had enough money to buy the ice cream with chocolate, but he decided to buy the one without chocolate so that he could give him a $3.5 tip. And that waiter was broken completely. That this young boy could forgo the ice cream with chocolate, not because he couldn't afford it, but he could forgo that chocolate, so that he could give the waiter $3.5 of tip, and it it was the waiter was devastated. Um, it was you know, there's those lessons for life that you get taught by, you know, in a very, very unique way. Um, and you know, brethren, um, that's the sign of godly people. Um, godly people give more than is expected. When this young boy was standing at that counter, this waiter just looked at him as another person, but this boy had made up his mind, he was going to be generous, and he forgot buying a very nice chocolate, ice cream with chocolate, took a plain ice cream so that he could give this waiter $3.5 of a tip for serving him. You know, brethren, that's exactly how life is. Um, you know, we always have to give up something. We always have to, it's not because we don't have, um, but we we sacrifice to give in the work of God. And even this weekend, as we come to gather in Nairobi and Mombasa, it's not because we don't have our needs, it's not because we don't want the ice, the the ice cream with chocolate. We love to do the ice cream with chocolate. We give our resources, we take the plain ice cream so that we can be able to give the work of God. We forgo things that we would have done for ourselves, things we would have bought, investments we would have made. We forgo all those things uh so that we can be able to stand and do God's work. And may the Lord bless you. Um, may Lord bless all of us as we purpose uh to be generous like this little boy. So um uh uh even as a ministry, and that's what we try to do here as CREM. We the every program that we run, whether it's our schools, ministry, anything that we are doing, uh, we try to run programs that help people, that is sure. We try to show people that they are loved, they are valued, and that we do everything we can to reach them in Jesus' mighty name. So uh today, um, you know, and every day, let's deliver. Let's deliver more than we are getting paid to do. Uh, when you step up there to go to work, um, it does not matter the environment, the place you have, God has blessed you. It may be, um people may not be able to thank you enough. Maybe you work in the government sometimes, you know, when you work in the civil service, uh, it can be a bit the thank yous can be very far away. In fact, you can do a great job, and people are ridiculing you, people are calling you names, people think you are useless, um, and people never really appreciate you know what people do every day to support them. But irrespective of the response of people, let us every day, brethren, deliver more than we are getting paid to do. Let us be our mission as Christians, whatever God has blessed us, even when we are bosses, we never appreciate us. But every morning when we get to work, wherever we go, let us step up and deliver more than we are getting paid to do and leave the resource to God. Uh, the victory of success uh will be half one when you learn the secret of putting out more than is expected in all that you do, in your relationship with people, in your uh relationship with your friends. Um, you know, just step out always and do more than they expect you to do. Um, you know, make yourself uh so valuable in your work that eventually you will become indispensable. Because you see, people that give extra, people that work, you know, as if they own the place, that they will always become indispensable. So, in anything that we do, let us give our very best. Make yourself so valuable that you almost become indispensable. Uh, exercise your privilege to go the extra mile and enjoy all the rewards you receive. When you become a person that does extra, uh, it's an is an great place to live in and it's enjoyable, and God really moves to bless you. So um again, it's some it's a decision that we have to make. It's a decision that we have to make ourselves, and it's a path that we choose to travel on and uh consciously, um, not expecting uh kudos from people, but expecting our God Himself to reward us uh in Jesus' name. So it is always a sign of a godly person uh when we are willing to go the extra mile. Um another point here is that whenever we do uh we do um extra, whenever we go an extra mile, yeah, we are always rewarded by God. God always rewards those that do extra. When you give extra, sometimes you can feel like you have lost. You can feel like you have lost, but God always blesses us. Um, you know, and there are times that has happened where you give, you are you feel like, oh my God, I've you have given so much. Even like last weekend, you know, you are we it was so difficult by the time we are living there, we were so exhausted, we could only stand. And you feel like, oh my god, like we've been drained. But you know what? God refreshes you. God refreshes you and God has a way of blessing you. And I'm sure those of us who were in that mission, you're happy. You are you you you look back as I'm glad I was there. I'm glad I was there to witness that. Um I'm glad I was there to hold the hands of those grieving students in Kiambani on that morning as we broke the news to them, you know, that one of them had died the previous night. And you know, just be there to provide a shoulder uh for those young people, for the principal himself. Um, you know, Daddy Francis will remember that meeting we had in the morning, and it was we're just sitting there, the principal, the deputy, myself, and we are planning, okay, how do we exactly break this news to these students? What do we do? How do we go about it? You know, but by God's grace, um, he was able to come through for us and and and we're able to be there to comfort those kids. Um, and so despite the pay the tiredness, you know, the exhaustion, but you know, you feel blessed that you know you were there at that time just to provide a shoulder to that school that they could lean on and and overcome was a tragedy. A tragedy for that school. And we will never know why God send us there at that time uh to be available and for you know for God to use us uh in that in that way. So um, you know, God always rewards us when we do when we go the extra mile. I our nation, to be honest, when you look at our nation in the country, our country is in a mess.
Greed, Leadership, And National Pain
SPEAKER_02Um, and the reason why it's the our country is in a mess is because people are selfish. People are selfish. I've been traveling um this week in the Democratic Republic of Congo, um, connecting actually today from a town in the south, you know, called Lumbumbash. Um and this is the mining, um, you know, the mining region uh in the DRC. This is where copper is produced here. Um yesterday I was we were flying in from another town down in a place called Kolwesi, just near the Zambian border, and and and all it is mine after mine. There are mines, huge, huge mines, uh, where they're extracting copper, um, extracting copper, extracting cobalt. Um, this is where the world's largest reserves of copper are. If you if you open a, if you have a phone that's using a cable, uh, if you are doing a you have a house where you have done some wiring using copper, just as that copper came from here, uh, this is where it is done. You can imagine this is the world, one of the world's largest suppliers of copper. But the poverty that surrounds this place um is just uh you know, is it's so hurting that in the midst of so much wealth uh you can have so much poverty. Um, and it's all because of greed and I would say selfishness, um, poor leadership, that you can extract so much from this country and leave the people so poor. You have one of the world's largest companies here here uh in this place, like you know, doing billions of dollars of sales per year. I think we visited like five or so mines here, and each of those mines is doing billions. And these are just a few of them, they're not all. Um, you know, they're doing billions. These are just mines, not even um, they are bigger. The revenue that they make is bigger than Safari Com with its empest and everything. Just three or four mines. They are bigger than Safari Com. Now we boast about Safari Com in Kenya and we talk about how big it is and whatever. This that's just only three mines here where I am right now. You can imagine with all that wealth, poverty that is in this place. And it's all because of greed. And we are not indifferent in our country. Um, selfishness, looking after ourselves. Um, not in greed. You know, greed is when you don't know when to stop. You acquire so much money until you forget that you can only eat a meal where your stomach can only take so much per day. Um, you can only um sleep on one bed at a time, you can only put on one suit at a time, you can only put on one pair of shoe at a time, you've got only so many kids, mouth to feed. Um, and when you don't know where to stop, that's what happens. Um, and so there's a lot of um, you know, the the the there's so much pain in the world that's being caused by um, you know, greed. Um, and that's greed. Brethren, God rewards those who go the extra mile. And we pray that somehow uh our nation can chat a different path at some point in time. We will never get tired of praying um that Africa can take a different path. Uh, we don't deserve the pain that we unleash on our people. Um, you know, we but the truth is we'll only build an extraordinary country when you have people that are with the extra mile and not looking out for themselves, but looking out for others. Um, so let's pray that even us we can say, oh, can we make a difference? Yes. Uh let's make our difference in our own small way. Whatever God has placed us in our small offices that God has given unto us, let us put in that extra. Um, let's do that, put that extra in our businesses, let's put that extra in the offices where God has placed us, because God always rewards uh those who go the extra mile, and it shall be well with us. And the last point then I'm going to uh we'll be going to wrap it up. Uh, and you know, we're going to be wrapping it up. You know, a willingness to do extra, it significantly affects lives. It impacts lives greatly.
The Good Samaritan And Holy Spirit
SPEAKER_02Now, you remember the story of this man in Luke chapter 10, verses 30 to 35. Um in Luke 10, 30 to 35, it says, A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho. When he fell into the hands of robbers, they stripped him of his clothes, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So to a Levite, when he came, he came to the place and saw him pass by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was, when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, quarrying oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey. He brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. Look after him. He said, When I return, I'll reimburse you for any extra expense you may have. Um, you know, brethren, uh, in this in this story here, uh, the Bible talks about this man that lay down, wounded, he had been beaten by robbers, streamed and removed his clothes, they beat him. The Bible says he was left half naked. And a priest went by there, he saw the man, he did nothing. A Levite also came, saw the man, passed by the side. The Bible talks about a Samaritan who went the extra mile. And I pray that God will convert us, he will make us Samaritans of our time. Samaritans in our families, Samaritans in our churches, Samaritans in our workplaces that go the extra mile. Um and and in this case, um uh the man uh comes in, he stops first, he sees the man that's in church, he stops, he pays attention to him, and then he doesn't just leave him there. He says, I will not leave you in this state. You may be half dead, but I'm not leaving you here. He interrupts his entire program, picks this man, takes him to um, he bandages his, you know, he bandages the wounds first, he pours his oil and wine. That's his own money, his own resources, and his oil and wine is always a sign of the Holy Spirit that we carry. The spirit of God's in is in us, we carry his spirit, and therefore, wherever we go, we have oil and we have got wine, and we have got oil. This speaks about the Holy Spirit of God, the power, basically the power of God in us. Uh, so he bandaged him with oil and wine, and then so we need to have the spirit of God in us so that we can be able to bandage the world wherever we are, in your family, in your workplace. Let's have the spirit of God in us. Um, the spirit of God is the carrier, it's the dispenser of God's grace. So let's carry him, let's carry the spirit of God in us. Because without the spirit of God, we can't do this. Um that's why religion is of no help, is of no value. Because religion is our works without the spirit of God. So let's carry the spirit of God with us. This man had oil and wine. Uh so you better have oil and wine. You better have the spirit of God in you. Then that's why you can be able to go the extra mile for people. So he bandages him with oil and wine, then he puts the man on his own donkey. And brings him in to take care of him. And then um he says you say and then the next day you took out money and resources. And he said I'll reimburse you. And any extra expenses you mean and I'll pay you. You know, for us to live an extraordinary life, we need to really do the extra. And anytime we do the extra and significantly affects life around us, we want to change the world around us. When we go out of our way to help our communities, we go out of our way to help our families, to help the ministry, we go out of your way to help in the church, out of your way to help in whichever ministry God has kept you. Not because you want to be recognized, not because you want anything from anybody, but because we love
Make Yourself Indispensable By Serving
SPEAKER_02God. And you know what? I think it is Napoleon Hill who said you can start right where you stand and apply the habit of going the extra mile by rendering more service and better service, then you are now being paid for. And this morning we are all going to go to the churches. We've got to go head up to the house.
