God’s Plan For Connection

other person. What you do, no one can do. You are special, you are unique, and there's nothing the enemy can do about it. And we declare that every morning. You know, God's divine plan is for me to be connected in a loving relationship with him and all living things. That's God's plan. For us, it's not his plan for us to be disconnected. We he wants us to be connected to him and are enjoying that peaceful, um, you know, just thriving with everyone. That's God's plan. That's why when the when the Adam fell, then the Lord God found a way to be able to connect to us, and he had to send his son Jesus Christ to bring back that connection because he has always been his plan that we are connected to him in a loving relationship. And if there's one thing that the enemy likes, is to break that relationship. When the devil wants to you know destroy us, he breaks relationships between us and God, breaks the relationship between us and and our friends, our family. That's what he aims at. We we we declare this morning that there's God's defined plan for us to be connected in a loving relationship with him and all living things. That I'm not late. There's a reason behind everything that has happened in my life up to this moment. I may not fully understand it now, but I choose to trust God and surely God's goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Say amen, amen to that. Wonderful pledge this morning. Let's do our daily prayer. God, I thank you for my blessed life and this magnificent universe and this beautiful new day. I ask that you please bless

all living things today with your love, with your grace, and with your abundance. And may you flow to me and through me infinite love, joy, peace, purpose, and prosperity during this brand new day that you have given unto me. And all of us say, Amen, amen to that. Let's do our mantras this morning and close your eyes, make these yours, personalize them. They are powerful. They enable us to meditate on God's goodness and mercy and says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Not my own ability, but through Christ who actually gives us strength. And I'm living on purpose and I'm on schedule. I'm exactly where God wants me to be. I'm not, I don't need to be feeling harassed about it. I'm exactly where God wants me to be, and I'm at peace with that. It doesn't matter what has happened in the past, it doesn't matter how things have been in the past, but I am exactly where God wants me to be, and I'm at peace with that. Say amen to that. Then our key truth this morning: power in the physical world is measured by how much you can lift up, but power in the spiritual world is measured by how much you can let go. This is a key principle that we have been learning every morning here. You need to be declaring that you want to understand how the spiritual world works. Um, you know how the how God works. We are physical beings, in we in we are spiritual beings in living in a physical form, and so it's important for us to understand the spiritual world and how the things in the spirit work. And one of those key principles here is that in the spiritual world, you know, power is measured by how much you can let go. And this 30 days challenge is designed uh to enable us to let go of stuff. We learn new things, uh, things that have you know been inherent in our lives. We learn, and if we can let go and embrace new, God is going to take us to a new level. And that's why we're calling this challenge an extraordinary challenge as we learn new things. Uh, God is able to usher us into a new dimension. We remember um, you know, the partner's mentality, taking care of the poor around us as part of this 30-day challenge. We encourage you to be generous and especially to those around us that are poor, and especially people that cannot be able to pay you back. Scripturally, Deuteronomy 15 10 says, Give generously to them. It makes reference to the poor. In in verse 9 and the verse before, there talk about poor the poor around us. He said, Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart. Then, because of this, the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. And this is something that we have not been doing as Christians. I kept giving the example last time. If you go to the mosques on weekends on Fridays when they're having you know those sessions, you'll find a lot of poor people hanging around the mosques. Why? Because the Muslims have understood the idea of helping the poor and they give to them. And that's why you find poor people hanging around

Spiritual Power Means Letting Go

SPEAKER_00

mosques every Friday. They understand this principle, but I I still challenge you to tell me any church you go and you find poor people waiting at the gates uh so that when Christians come out, they can be able to bless them. I'm here to see any single church where the poor come to sit at the gate, expecting that Christians uh will be able to bless them as they leave the church. It has not happened. I'm here to see one. I'm praying that in my lifetime I'll be able to see one. And no wonder when we see, you know, sometimes the you know, people, the Muslims thriving and not struggling, and we see ourselves as Christians struggling. I should ask ourselves why, because we have really, really not been generous to the poor. We struggle, we are mean, um, you know, we give grudgingly, and you know, no wonder um then we experience drought in our lives, in our churches, and our ministry. I pray that this is going to be different. Um, you know, as a ministry, we want to be generous everywhere we go, we want to have the spirit of generosity. And I challenge us this morning in this 30-day challenge, make this your um, you know, your your part of your life, be a blessing to this around you, um, you know, especially the poor. And the Bible promises here, the Lord promises He'll bless you in all our work and everything we put our hand in. He versus this morning, Matthew 6:33, but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, is the scripture that we have continued to use here. And 1 Corinthians 2 9 says, However, as it's written, what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived, the things God has prepared for those who love him. Brethren, God has promised things that have not been seen, and we are believing God, this 30-day challenge, though those things will come to fruition. We'll see them in Jesus' name. Now, key versus as well, 1 Samuel 10, 6 to 10, the Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them, and you'll be changed into a different person. You know, one of the best gifts that we get when we get to know the Lord is the Holy Spirit. And when he comes, he changes us. And we are trusting God at these 30 days, it's going to be a time of change, there's going to be a time of transformation. Saul was transformed, he was timid, he was hiding, he wasn't ready to do anything. But when the spirit of the Lord came upon him, he began to prophesy, he was changed into a different person. God the spirit of God came powerfully upon him. And I pray this morning, as part of this 30-day challenge, the spirit of God will come afresh on us powerfully, and we'll be changed. We're going to be different by the time we finish the last session of these 30 days. We're going to be different, positioned for the extraordinary things in our lives in Jesus' mighty name. Remember our health disciplines. Take some time, find some time, walk silently for 10 minutes where you can connect with God and nature, especially on the weekend. Um, you know, today is a Saturday. Find some time, connect with God, take a lot of water, take care of our bodies, is our license to be here on earth, and of course, purpose to be a blessing to someone today, especially one that cannot pay you back. Say amen and amen, amen. To that, uh, we have so far, of course, covered connecting

Generosity To The Poor Without Payback

SPEAKER_00

with God. We have covered you know forgiveness. I encourage you to still uh maybe this weekend, you know, take some time, continue to you know work on your forgiveness, letters, purify yourself. Um, we've talked about prayer and meditation and the power that is in meditation, um, you know, and I pray that you'll put into practice some of these things as we go on. And of course, we have also talked about changing our language and our destiny, uh, so that because we many times we bewitch ourselves through what we speak, but as of this 30-day challenge, we are praying that God will transform our speech, the way we talk, so that everything that's coming out of our minds is positive, we are in is positive. It's we affirm ourselves in Jesus' name. And the last few days we have been talking about um, of course, our desires, and that's what we want to deal with today in what we call the desire decoding process, which is a wonderful way. And I want to make reference to Psalms chapter 51, verses 10 to 19. We have dealt with it before here, but I just want to make reference to it. It says, Create in me a pure heart, oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. I pray these 30 days, God is going to restore the joy of our salvation. Um, it's going to send you know a refreshing on us. And he says, Grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Then says, Then I'll teach you at my transgresses, your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you. He says, Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed. I pray that these 30 days, God is going to remove every guilt, every shame in us, even as we go through deep our hearts, as we deal with your forgiveness, as we do with our desires. The Lord is going to you know to you know deliver us from guilt, the things that we have done, the areas we messed up that keep following us, and the Lord deliver us from there. And says, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness. Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise. And he says, You do not delight in sacrifice, or I will bring it. Do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. And he says in verse 17, which is what I want to focus on. My sacrifice, oh God, is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, you God will not despise. He says, Brethren, if there's one that God cannot despise, it is a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart. And this whole challenge is designed to bring us there. As we go through the desire decoding process, we are looking at exactly our desires, analyzing them, making sure that we understand them so that we can be able to deal with them. But it brings us to a place where we can have a clean heart before God, and when we have a clean heart before God, then we have open heavens. God is able to, our prayers are hard. We are walking with Him and we become unstoppable. Say amen to that. And so today I just want us to look at this desire decoding. We have already started by saying, write your 101 desires. If you have not written, it's fine, everything is okay. You know, today is yet another day. Take that booklet and go through and write 101 desires. Keep writing them the things that you desire. You know, I desire chocolate. I desire to have that dress. I desire to have, I feel like I have a house in the hill. I desire to give the church a million shillings, I desire to own a car, and it must be a red car. I desire to own land here. I desire to live in this beach place. I desire to see my children here, I desire to my husband, I desire a wife. Put every single desire that you have in your heart, pour them out. Don't stop, keep going. If you've not reached 101, whatever number you have reached, keep going. Because it's important that you exhaust every single desire that you have. Brethren, there's so much power in what is written. What is written is powerful.

Scripture Promises And Holy Spirit Change

SPEAKER_00

So I want to encourage you. If you're not done it, it's fine. Today is yet another day. Don't you know condemn yourself, find some time today, sit under a tree and just keep writing down. What is it that you desire? Why is this important? Because there's a promise that is tied to desires, where the Lord says He'll give us the desires of our heart. And this desire decoding process enables us to remove, to have a good understanding of those desires, so that then God can be able to reveal and do something about that in our lives. So, how do we interpret these desires? We have already started in step one of interpreting our desires is through these three natural, through these three steps. One, a desire can be natural. These are things that are, you know, you desire, you know, maybe to have a home, you desire safety, security. These are just natural desires. So of 101 desires, you look at which ones are natural, just normal things that a human being would win to desire. You desire to have safety for your children, you desire to have enough money uh, you know, to take care of your family. Those are natural desires. Then in there, you'll also find what we call unnatural desires. These are things you don't even know where they come from. Some of them, maybe there is through advertisements. There's been so much advertisement on the banners, on the TVs, and you desire desiring those things that are being advertised. We call them those unnatural desires. And it's important for you to just know them. There's nothing wrong with having those desires. We just try to be aware of the desires that we have because the moment we are aware of them, then we have to do something about it. Then you have what we call supernatural desires. These are desires that you don't know where they come from. You know, desire to help the poor. You know, you get moved when you see children that are tormented, you get moved when you see dogs that have no honor, you get moved by cats, you get moved by, you know, many things that you don't know where they come from. We call those supernatural desires. And they are normally whispers of God's plan for your life. Uh, as we you see this unfolding in this 30-day challenge, those supernatural desires they are very, very important. Um, because they are indications of what God has called you to do. What is your purpose here on earth? The things that are unnatural. Why do I do that? Why would I, you know, be excited about leaving a whole weekend and going to spend with children in a high school? Why would I be excited about that? It is a direction of God's calling in your life. And then the second way of looking at it is breaking those desires into mid-term, short midterm, and long and long term. This again enables you to just know which ones uh you can meet in the next three months, next one year, and there's long-term desires or maybe three years. You desire maybe you're just beginning your career, and you know,

Health Disciplines And Forgiveness Reminder

SPEAKER_00

you have a desire of having a home or building, we know it's going to happen in the next maybe you know, four or five years. They're long-term desires. It's good to just know which desires have no time as no time limit. So that's a very important way of desire of figuring out those desires. Then the second step is what we say, be, do, have, and give, is looking at these desires to see which ones have something to do with being, you know, something that you want to become, something that you want to do, something that you want to have, or something that you want to give. It's important just to look at them and also analyze them in that in that regard. Then you have what we call life's big seven, which is basically the you know, family relationships, faith. We have listed them. It's important also to look at them so that you can make sure that your desires are balanced. Yeah, they are balanced. So you don't have just things that you want to be, you want to be this, you want to be this. It's important just to have a balance between be, do, have, and give. And then you have, we now apply step number four, which is what we call peeling the onion, which is basically doing a deep dive of those desires to make sure that uh you can understand actually where they where they come from. So let's just look at that very, very quickly. What do you mean by you know, um, you know, peeling the onion? When you are looking at those desires one after the other, um, the first thing that we ask yourselves is when you're looking at the desires that you have, uh, as you begin to analyze them, is to ask yourself, what's the what's the benefit? You know, I'm got this desire that I have, but what is the benefit? What does it what does it give you? Right? That's one way of beginning to just take a look at it. Um, what is the benefit? What does it uh give you? Just uh beginning to join the service, not something nothing wrong with that, but yeah. So what what what what when we when we do the desire decoding, we are beginning to peel um, you know, the onion, as we call it the peeling the onion to really understand why do I have this desire? Why do I have this?

Start The 101 Desires List

SPEAKER_00

And that is step number four, which is what we want to do today. We have already done step one, um, you know, breaking down them short, mid, and long term. We've already done um step two, which is you know which desires are to be, you know, do the things that you want to do, uh the things that you want to have under our car, and to have a house, and give desires, things that you want to give, and then now you have analyzed them in the life's big seven that we have already covered. But today we want to look at step number four, which is basically feeling the onion, to really understand what is the background behind uh these desires. And in in doing this, we ask two questions. For every desire that you have, we ask the question, what's the benefit? What does that give you? What does that give you? You know, and I think a very good illustration of this is one that I keep giving here. In one of the trade one of the discussions when we were discussing this, one of the participants was asked, um, he was asked um, you know, to come and just you know participate in this whole thing of um just you know peeling the onion. And then the you know, the person who's leading the session says, I want to use you as an example, just to help people understand what does it really mean to peel the onion. So he says, Give us a volunteer. One young man there uh volunteered, and he said uh, you know, he wants to be there to go through the process of peeling the onion. And so the facilitator then asks him, so tell us what is it that what's what was your biggest desire today? What would you like God to do for you if he was if you asked? And he said, Hey, you know, I would really like to uh to make a sell because he was a he was in sales, he was he's a salesperson. He said, I would really like to make a sell. And and so the facilitator then asks him, is that really the best thing that you want God to do? He said, Yeah, if I can cut that sell, you know, then I'm done. That's it, that's my biggest desire right now. If you in your workbook, we have been saying there write um, you know, three in your talk miracles that you like God to do for you. For this young man, it was number one. I would like to be able to make a sell. So then the facilitator begins to, you know, say, okay, let's let's look at it. If this is really important, you are sure he said, Yeah, this is it. This is the most important thing in my in my life. And then he asked him, so you know, what's the benefit? You know, what does that give to you? What's the benefit of this sell? What does it give you? He says, Yeah, because if I do this sell, I'm going to get a commission of you know 250,000 uh US dollars, which is a lot of money, which is a lot of money for commission. He said, Oh, okay, um, 250,000 commission. Ah, okay. So the facility then asked him, so you know, you are you are saying you want to do the sell, but really what you want is the 250,000. So you asked him, so do you want the two fifty thousand dollars or you want the sale? He says, No, actually, it's the two fifty thousand dollars, that's what I want. That that's that that's that's one. So then he he presses father, he says, So tell me, and so what what's the benefit? What's the benefit of the two fifty thousand dollars? And since now it's not the sale that you want, that what you actually want is the two fifty thousand dollars. What does that give you? What's the benefit? Why you buy the two fifty thousand dollars? That this young man says, Of course, if I get the two fifty thousand dollars, I'm gonna buy my dream car, I would buy that BMW

Natural Unnatural And Supernatural Desires

SPEAKER_00

car that I've always been wanting to buy. Um, and you know, that's almost a good deposit to put in for me to get that uh, you know, to get that car put, you know, I'll be fine. So the press is on. Remember, we are peeling the onion here. We've started with my desire is to make a cell, and now he said, Oh, actually, it's not the sell he wanted uh that he was so desperate for. It's now turned out it was $250,000 that is actually important. And now he's asking him, so is it the $250,000 you want? Or there's really something actually it's the car. Is I'll be able to buy a car if I get $250,000. So he presses on, he says, So tell us what's the benefit, what's the purpose of the car? Um, you know, is it the car that you really want, or is it the $250,000? I said, It's the car that I that I want. Then the facilitator then presses on. Remember, we are picking the onion here, we are pilling the onion to understand. Really behind your desire. What's really behind your desire? So this young man is also what's about the $250,000? I says, I get $250,000. Hmm, you know, and I'm going to buy that car, that dream car that I've wanted. And the facility asks it, he said, the car that you want. What benefit does that give you? What does it give you? He says, Of course, when I get that dream car, I'm going to have all the women, all the girls in town. I want to have all these girls in town. So everybody laughs, breaks into a laughter. Remember, we started with, you know, I want a cell, but now it's not the cell. It is $250,000. But actually, it's not $250,000. It is now a BMW car. And it's not now a BMW car. It is standard that actually is he wants all the girls in town. So everybody's laughing. He's being, you know, really cornered. And yeah, yeah, I'm going to have all the girls that you know that I want. So uh the facilitator then also presses on. He says, Really, is it the girl that you the girls that you want? Or what benefit does that give you? What's the benefit? What does that give you? And he presses on. He says, Of course, I'm going to get the love that I've always been looking for. You know, you know, I'm going to be loved. I'm going to be have somebody that can take care of me. And, you know, you know, a dream girl that I've always wanted to take care of me and I'm going to be loved. And what? And now everybody is just like cracking and buffing. And of course, you can imagine how that was going on. Why? Because you started with a desire of a self. That's what you had written there is a miracle you want God to do for you to sell. But when you peel the onion, you actually come to understand it's not the self that he wanted. Actually, it was a girl that he wanted, and not really the girl. He's really looking for love. That's all the young man was looking for. And you see, many times we can have a lot of desires that we want this house, we want this car, we want this, we want this. But peeling the onion enables us to really understand what is the benefit. And you know what, what why? You know, because

Peel The Onion To Find Motives

SPEAKER_00

the reason we want things is because it gets us happy. Every behind every desire is us trying to be happy. And you are happy when you get love, when you get joy, when you get peace. Those three things underpin everything that human beings are looking for. Everybody wants to be joyful, everybody wants to have peace, everybody wants to love, you know, and you know, all the desires that you may have as you peel down the onion you will realize actually that is the that's the end game. Um, and so it is important for us um, you know, to know that you know that's that's the main, that's the ultimate goal. Any desire that you have, you peel it down, down, down, down, and it is really a good desire, it ends you up there, it leads us into a place of joy, a place of peace and love. And so it's important for you to take time to peel the onion and establish why you have that desire. Why do you desire that thing? Um, you know, why are you obsessed with that? You know, sometimes some of the desires we want and really funny. Some of you you want the car, but when you peel down the onion, you'll realize actually, the car that you really want, you want to be able to drive back to the village and and show everybody that you have also arrived, you've made it. Um you know, someone else was I was laughing at somebody else who was saying that I I can't wait to get the car and I'll drive that car and I'll go past through those people that thought I'll never make it in life. I want them to see me driving the car. So when you build that, you actually look and realize actually they are egoic, ego things that are driving it. I want to have that money. Why do you want to have that money? Because I want to go back to the teacher who thought I'll never make it, those people that thought I'll never make it in my life. And you see, that's not a good place to be. We call those egoic needs and desires, and it's important for us to remove those things so that we are left with really, really desires that we can be able to present to God. And the Bible says he will meet every single desire in our lives. So taking time to peel the onion enables you to ask yourself, do I want this thing? You have desired it, you have fought for it, you are willing to even sometimes compromise, sacrifice your life for it. Why? Why is it peel the onion? Understand what is it really behind and this young boy, it started from uh in closing a cell, it ends up being exactly just looking for love. And you know, there he is. Um, and and I think I believe all of us we are like that young

The Sales Story That Ends In Love

SPEAKER_00

boy. There are a lot of desires that we have, and the more we can take time to peel the onion, it removes sometimes some things that we should not even be chasing. There are people chasing things for 40 years. You're chasing things, and then you realize actually it means nothing to you, and yet you have spent 40 years chasing it as if it's your whole life depends on it. But when you pick down the onion, you just try to prove a point. You you know, you want to so even me to it, or even our family, we can also make it. And you know, that's really not a good way to spend your life. Anyway, I don't want to spend a lot of time on that because time is going, we're about to be called here. But then then the next step, you know, step five is to then look at those desires again. And you know, sometimes look at this. Um this um uh psychologist called Abraham Maslow. I think he summarized uh it in a very nice way. He said, in in life, people are looking for safety, security, and survival. That's the first level. And you know, you can you can go and read uh you know, Abraham's hierarchy of needs. That's the first thing. You want to have a place, you are safe, you are secure, and you survive. Um, you know, that's the basic need of a human being. Then from there, we want love and acceptance. You know, we want to be loved and we want to be accepted. And then the next level there is forgiveness and conscience. We want to have a clean heart, and that's when we get um, you know, trans, you know, you get realization. We have been born again, uh, you know, forgiveness, conscience is another layer of needs. Then, of course, from there you have grace, purpose, and joy, where you know that's another thing that actually we are, you know, that people are looking for. And then you have then you have you will now have self-actualization, which is uh and self-transcendence, which is when you now begin to live not for yourself, but you begin actually to live uh you know for for other people. And that that that that's that's important to it starts from the lowest level of needs, safety, security, survival, and then keeps going on until self-actualization, where you are no longer living for yourself, but you're actually living for you know for other other people. And and so again, in our analyzing those needs that you have, uh those needs that you have, it's important to see of those other than one needs, where do they fit in here? Which ones are to do with safety, security, survival, which ones are to do with love and acceptance, which ones are to do with forgiveness, conscience, which ones are to do with grace, purpose, and joy, which ones are to do with self-actualization, self-transcendence and peace. Self-transcendence is that state where you reach where you are now beginning to live, not for yourself, but you are beginning to live for other people. And then after that, you go to now step number six. Step number six, you are looking at of those needs that you have done, the peeling of the onions, which one which ones are egoic needs, which ones are egoic needs and desires. The things that are sure this is just your own personal ego. You know, you want to show off to your neighbors, you want to show off that also your children can make it, you want to show off that even you, your family can grow, that uh even my even me, my son can do this, my daughter can do this. You know, when you point through those hundred and one desires, you will be able to see which ones are actually egoic needs and desires. And it's important that you look at them and remove them because you know ego is just about us, and it's important that you you remove that. And then step number seven is which of these needs then are what we call intuition, whispers from the soul. And this is so critical, brothers. I know I've talked about it earlier, but intuition and whispers from the soul, they are needs, they are they are desires that point us to our purpose and our calling. A lot of us say, you know, Pastor, you know, how do I know what God has called me

Maslow Ego Needs And Soul Whispers

SPEAKER_00

to do? How do I know my purpose? How do I know what I should be doing? Because remember, you never have joy and peace. You never really, you know, enjoy life until you are beginning to live on purpose. But then how do you how do you how do you how do you discover your purpose? It is by looking at those desires and begin to see which ones are intuition, which ones are whisper from the soul. Why would Moses leave a safe place in the palace? Why would he leave a safe place in the palace and he starts going to fight for um you know for the Israelites? He left the palace, he went, and he finds the Egyptian, you know, fighting with the Israelites, and he even kills him. And that's the beginning of his problem. Why would you do that? What was it? Because inside Moses' heart, he was a deliverer. He was a deliverer. There was something in his heart, in his life that was um, you know, that that that there was in something in his heart, there was a deliverer in him, and that's why it was picking up. He would have continued being in the palace completely and based, enjoying life, having everything. But deep inside him, there was a deliverer in him. And all of us, there are some things we don't even know where they come from. You know, you are moved by something. You see sinners, you see drunkards, and you can't sleep. You see postules lining up on the streets, and and you're like, hey, what can I do about this? You see orphans, you see widows, um, you you hear people that are suffering. Like now we have this Ebola thing, and and it moves you that you know, who need care, they need to be helped. Um and you wonder why am I moved by this? Uh, when you hear of bereaved, you want to be there to comfort them. Why would you do that? It is intuition because whispers of the soul, and they are a pointer to God's calling in your life. Some of them they don't make sense at all. You know, why me? You know, you know what, why am I moved by this? By going through those 101 desires, you're able actually to begin to see what God is calling you into. And I really encourage you if you don't turn the 101 desires, I really encourage you to find some time and do that because it's a very good pointer of what God wants to do. So allow me to reach there. I need to board, we have been called to board. Um, and so uh, Sister Wikali, I'm going to hand it over to you. You take it and wrap it up. I look forward to seeing you guys tomorrow. But do take some time and do the desire decoding and make sure that you can be able to pick out all these elements of your desires in Jesus' name. God bless you so much. God bless you, God bless you. God bless you.
