God’s Promise To Surprise You

SPEAKER_01

all these things will be given to you as well. And in 1 Corinthians 2 9, it's a scripture here that God promises those who are who love him. And he says, if you love him, those who love him says, No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those for you who love him. And we pray that as we get deeper in love with him, uh that um we'll continue to manifest things in our lives that we never believed. You find yourself in places you never imagined you could be. You'll find yourself in in you know touching things you never imagined you could touch. Uh, because that is just the God we serve. He is there to surprise you, and I pray that he's going to surprise you in 30 days. Uh, he's going to surprise you, and you'll give a testimony of his faithfulness. Say amen. 1 Samuel 10, 6

Renewal Through A Changed Heart

SPEAKER_01

to 10. Again, here is the Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with Him, and you'll be changed into a different person. And here, we say anytime that God wants to use us, He changes us, it changes our heart. And that's why you hear us say I talk about being born again. The idea of being born again is a changed heart, it's a repentant heart, it's a change. We get born again, we change. We are not the same anymore. That's why Paul says, I no longer is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. When Christ, when God fills us, we get changed. And what changes us, the Spirit of God comes powerfully upon us. And we are praying these 30 days. It's going to be a time of renewal. The Spirit of God will come powerfully upon you, and there will be a tangible change in your life. Your family will testify, your children will testify that surely something different has happened. Is a different person. Even in the office, your colleagues will testify something has happened in Jesus' name. The Spirit of God came powerfully upon Saul, and he was never the same again. He became a leader and went on to lead his people into battle. Him that was a coward, was hiding. Now he begins to prophesy and is transformed. That be your portion this morning in Jesus' name.

Health Disciplines For The Journey

SPEAKER_01

Mind ourselves for health disciplines. Spend some time outdoors if you can. Sense the rhythm of nature. Take a lot of water, ten glasses of clean water every day. He'll help you. Let's take care of our bodies. It's our license to be here on earth. And I'm supposed to be a blessing to someone every single day. And with that, let's dive in. Just a quick recap of what we have covered. It's there on the screen. If you have not been there or you have missed any of them, they are all recorded in our podcast. Go there, download, share them with as many people as you can. We have covered so many things, and yesterday we covered spiritual metabolism, which is basically you changing your mental, your um, you know, your your your health, your spiritual health, and ensuring that on every single day you're able to begin the day with a clean slate. Anything that happens in your life, pick, ask yourself, what can I use here? What do I, what have I, what can I use now? And then, you know, what can I use, store and use tomorrow? What wisdom do I get for tomorrow? And anything else that's of no use to you, you flash it out, you forgive, you let go, and you place, you begin the day in a fresh way. And when you live like that, you don't abor any bitterness, any resentment in your life, you become a channel for God's blessings. Uh, when you begin to have a clean slate, um, when you've let go of things and you don't abor offense, you are just a miracle magnet, you begin to touch this world in a very special way. Uh, and really it's a blessing to live from that position of strength. So we covered all that yesterday, but today we want to dive in into living for purpose. Living for purpose is one of the most, most amazing teachings that we ever do here. And we want to say start by saying why I love this so much, is because the happiest people on earth, the happiest people on earth are those living on purpose. Are you happy? Are you in if you find yourself not happy, you are not enjoying your life, chances are that you are not living on purpose. And we pray that this lesson is going to help us this morning. Research has shown, research has shown that all people that have been successful, that have made a huge difference, that have left a legacy, they lived on purpose. And if you look at all the world changes, all the world changes, and I'm lifting some of them on the screen here. We talk about um people who are famous for one thing or the other, Bill Gates, Jesus Christ, Mother Teresa,

Spiritual Metabolism And A Clean Slate

SPEAKER_01

Nelson Mattela, these are all people's names that you put out there, they have left such a big impact in the world for one reason or the other. I'm not talking about just on the spiritual world, just you have just made such a big difference uh in the world today. If you open up any computer that you open up across the world, anybody that has got any computer, you got a phone, you open that phone, you're using technology from Microsoft in one way or the other. That is Bill Gates. All of us Christians, the largest um, you know, religion on earth, it is you know, Jesus Christ. Um Mother Teresa touched so many people in the world. Nelson Mandela, one of the greatest statesmen. But all these people that have made up, that have been world changes. If you look at them, they committed uh themselves, they gave themselves 100% gave themselves to an idea that was greater than themselves. They lived on purpose. Um, the idea of living on on purpose is giving yourself to an idea that is greater than yourself. Either it's an idea or a belief, or they committed themselves to you know, seeking peace, or they committed themselves to building families, they committed themselves to our cause, to our sport, to love, to business. Um, all world changes, 100% of themselves, of them, they gave themselves to an idea that was greater than themselves. You remember all of you the speech that Nelson Mandela made on the day he was sentenced to life imprisonment. And he's standing there looking at the judge. He asked them, So, what do you have to say? And he says, You know what? From the beginning, I've committed myself to the idea of a free nation where men, irrespective of color, can live freely. And he tells the judge, this is an idea that I'm committed to for life. And if it means being going to death because of it, I'm ready. I'm ready to die. Not just to go to prison, or imprisonment, I'm ready to die for it. And with those words, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, spent 27 years there, and he came out to lead the nation. You know, all world changers, they committed themselves to an idea that was greater themselves. You know, they were not consumers. Uh, where it is all about you, it's about what you you know, it's about what you do for yourself. No, all world changers, it has been the other way around. You commit yourself to living on purpose. You need to fully unlock the potential you you have. You have to be open to the idea of living for others and not just yourself. And I pray this morning and this study days, this we could really reflect on this. Because we can be so obsessed with living for ourselves, you know, fighting for ourselves and trying to earn a living, to make a living for ourselves. It's all about you and you know, joy, peace, and love will evade you. Because to fully unlock potential and for you to experience God's power in your life, you have to commit yourself to living for others, not just yourself. You will never care. You see, when you when you live like that, you never care about what you get when you live on purpose. And one of those powerful scriptures, we find it in Acts chapter 13, verses 2 to 5. The Bible says, while they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Set apart for me banabas and soul for the work to which I have called them. So they they so after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off. They went all, you know, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, who went down Seleucia, they sailed onto Cyprus, and when they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper. This was the beginning of Paul's ministry, where God clearly

Why Purpose Creates Real Happiness

SPEAKER_01

says, I've called, you know, Barabbas and Saul, I've got to work for them, and he tells them, and the church at that time prayed for them and led them to go. And that was the beginning of Paul's ministry. Um, he was sent not to go and work for himself, but to go and actually take the gospel to the uh you know uh you know, to the to uh to the to the rest of the world. And now here we see him in Acts chapter 20, verse 32 that said we don't have time to read all of it. But from 17, verse 17, we can see in a way Paul speaking to the fashion elders here, and he sort of summarizes his life. Remember, he has been commissioned, he's done many, many missionary ministries, he has opened up churches, and in Acts chapter 20, we see him now in Ephesus, where he's about to be arrested, he's about to be taken to Jerusalem. And he said, when they arrived, he said to them, You know how I lived the whole time I was with you. And from the moment he was commissioned by the church, from the first day I came into the province of Asia, that I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, and in the midst of severe testing by the laws of my Jewish opponents. You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you, but I've taught you publicly and from house to house. This is somebody on a mission. This is somebody who is living on purpose. And he said, I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. And now, compelled by the Spirit, I'm about to go to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. Now, this uh scripture just captures what Paul had done. Paul is a great example of someone living on purpose because when you are living on purpose, when you are living on purpose, you will never um you you you touch people in a unique way. Uh, you don't mind, uh, you you don't do you don't do anything because of what you get, you do it because you know you are living on on purpose. I think an example is given on on um on this um you know this successful entrepreneur who was in the city and um he he lives, he he decides to go and visit a family in in the rural areas that lived by a lake. And he's a very successful entrepreneur, he was running multiple businesses, but he has this friend of his who was living somewhere in rural areas in this, some near an island somewhere, and he was into fishing. So he when he goes there to visit him, he says, Let's go fishing in the afternoon and get some fish for for that for dinner. So they go out in the boat and they start, you know, sort of fishing, um, you know, getting fish in the boat, and and this entrepreneur from the city is observing this man, he was excellent at fishing, and he's just within a very short time, he's caught a lot of fish, and you know, they bring back the fish uh to the family and they begin to cook. And then this entrepreneur looks at this man and he says, by the way, um, why don't you, you know, you can you can buy a boat and you're so good at this thing, and you can buy a boat and you can you know open up a whole fishing business here, and you're so good at this thing. Why don't you get more boats and start you know get more people fishing? You can make a big business out of this thing. There's so much fish here, you're so good at it, and um you can just do, you know, you can run a very good, successful fishing business, and you can be you can do so well. And then this fisherman looks in, but he says, Why? He says, he says, he's like, Oh, you can do so well, you can be so, you can do so well. And then this fisherman looks at him, but he says, I'm doing so well, I'm doing so well. All I want to do, I'm happy. You know, just fishing for my family every day. That's what I want to do. I'm happy. I don't need any more of that. And this entrepreneur was surprised by the approach of this man. And you see, when you are living on purpose, this man's whole purpose and just enjoyed going out to fish for his family, and he was contented, he was very, very happy with, he was very happy with that. Um, and so what are we saying, brethren? We can never ever get the power of God flowing in our lives if we don't live on purpose. The power of God is manifested, the miracle as power of God is manifested to you. If you live on purpose, if God's power is going to flow through you, you need purpose. If you're going to experience God's supernatural, you need to connect yourself to purpose, then power begins to flow through you. The happiest people are living on purpose, they are connected to God, and power flows through them. So, do you need do you want to see God moving through your life? You need to connect yourself to purpose. When you're not connected to purpose, there's a disconnect between you and this power that you never experience. And so this morning, I'm inviting you to consider how you are living and how committed you are to the to the purpose because there's power that becomes released on you. So the more you commit yourself to an idea that's bigger than yourself, the more you begin to pour your life out of that idea, you then power begins to flow through you, and you you experience God in a very supernatural way. Because you become a channel of God's blessing for that purpose to be accomplished. Because God wants things done on earth, and we are the feet and hands of God here on earth. So you need to be connected to purpose. And when you're connected to purpose, then God will begin to channel everything that's needed for that purpose to be fulfilled. So this morning, I want to really encourage us to ponder over that. Are you living on purpose? We are in the ministry. Uh most of you were there in the earlier days in the ministry. We used to have one of our sisters. I think she was a very, very dear sister for us. She was a mother, uh, elder, she was called our sister Grace Ngugi. Most of you know. She's the one who gave us the facility uh where we used to meet in Mombasa called Beracha Hotel, which was um our miracle for us. I think without getting that facility, we don't know what whether Kreb would be there because we we needed a place to meet. And this lady opened up that hotel for us, gave us a room, we started meeting there, and she became one of our you know, really, really great, great um mentors and leaders. Um, we used to call her Mama Beratya, but but this lady and she she really loved visiting people in hospital. And over lunchtime, she would go into the Cost General Hospital, go word by word, praying, praying, praying, praying. And and she loved doing that. It was her purpose. And and she loved. And most of you know, in one day, after she had finished the hospital visitation, at least from what I was the testimony we were given, she went outside to sit down somewhere,

Models Of Purposeful Living

SPEAKER_01

and she breathed her last. You know, she she she died there in the in the hospital after finishing her visitation. Um, you know, purpose, living on purpose, connecting yourself to purpose and living to what God has called you to do. And all of us have a purpose. The question is, are we living it? Because this power that's getting released when we begin to live on purpose. And the best definition of living on purpose is when you stop living for yourself. When you can wake up every day and know it's not just about me. I'm living for others, I'm pouring my heart out to other people. I want to make a difference in our community, I want to touch people, you know, our family differently. It's not about me, it's really about the impact that you have on those around you and others. So, how do you then connect to purpose and spend a minute and you know, a minute talking about that? Because the secret to living is really to touch this world in a unique way and is to serve. A lot of us don't want to serve, we want to be, we want to be served. You know, those of us who are in the in the mission field in the last um in the last few months have been heavy on missions, we've been everywhere, and sometimes we have gone, we have been overwhelmed by the need in the field. And you know, standing there looking at the need out there, and we imagine of how many Christians are you know just comfortable in the church on the weekends. And I mean, we went to some schools, we were overwhelmed uh by the need out there. And and there are many people um who could make a difference. Christians who could make a difference, but they don't know, they're they're not connected to purpose. And we pray that God will open the eyes of many. Um, because if we if the eyes were open, uh would be everywhere. How do I put it? We all send our children to boarding schools and we wait for them to come back after three months, and we are Christians, yet these same students in high school we saw the need, and their parents are Christians in church on Sunday that in a way they don't see the need. And here we are trying to minister to these children who are desperately needing in need, and we are it's the need is so much. And I was like, Can I just carry everybody in Nairobi and empty those churches and send people into the field where our children are? And that's a mission field. So why would we be seated in Nairobi and we don't care about what's happening to our children that we have sent to boarding schools? And then when things happen, we begin to blame the school, we blame the administration, we blame government. And what are we doing ourselves? Um, we are completely leaving that. So we pray that God will open our eyes, eyes to begin living on purpose so we can be more proactive in reaching out to others. So, how do you connect to purpose? Very quickly. Um, the best way to um to connect to purpose is um, you know, number step number one, we always say, um, you know, what are the needs of this world? If you look at your booklet there, I think it's item number one. What are the needs of this world? If you just set some time and write maybe 10 to 30 needs for the world, and it could be many, maybe poverty, hunger, racism, tribalism, nepotism, sickness, sin, family, gender violence, war, homelessness. We see people homeless, the elderly, corruption, um, war, animals being killed, poaching, ignorance, human trafficking, you know, waste. You walk around our cities and there's so much waste. Cancer is killing so many people. Um, you know, look at what's happening to the our girl child, the boy child, addiction, alcoholism. These are all needs that are there in the world that we are seeing. But if you just take some few minutes and just write down all the needs that you can think of, the things that you are that that really touch you, the things that really move you, that you are concerned about, that you would like to see changed, just take some time in your booklet and write all of them. I'm just giving you small uh steps on discovering your purpose. Then, number two, once you have reached all those needs, um, you know, for example, now you hear me talk about the needs in high schools. Uh, children in high schools, they need such deep ministry. You know, they are so traumatized, they are family issues, they are, you know, they are frustrated, they feel people don't understand. Understand them. There's such it's such a big need in high schools today. So that's just one of the main needs. So then step number two, you say, to which of them do I feel emotionally connected? Now you can feel for me for surely. I'm very, very connected to the high schools and to the young people. It's something they're very clip very close to my heart. Which of them do you feel most connected? So you highlight which ones touch you when you talk about addiction, um, you know, um prostitution, um, you talk about alcoholism, uh, talk about um uh you know poaching, animals getting killed, um sick um and helpless in the hospitals. You ask yourself which of these do you feel most emotionally connected to? You know, which one do you feel most emotionally connected to? So identify which one of them, maybe one or two or three. The top three pick the top three that you feel connected with. The number three, ask yourself then what can I do? What can I do today? What can I what am I realistically capable of doing today with what you have, with the resources, with the time, with the level of experience that you have, what can you do about it today? Write down I could do this. You know, what can you choose to do today without anything, without asking for anything? Um again, just put there down. Maybe I could join the mission, maybe I could join creme and start going for our missions, maybe I can start giving um my resources, my money, my time uh to the church, but I can commit to visiting the hospital, I can join the facilitation team, maybe I can join the ushering team, maybe I can join the intercessory team and begin to pray uh for it. Maybe I can join the praise and worship team and begin to minister through worship and praise. Maybe I could I could I could volunteer um at the next mission that we are going and join the team. You know, those are small things that you can actually do right now. Yeah, so write them down. What can you do? The number four

Simple Steps To Find Purpose

SPEAKER_01

is what would I love to be able to do? Now you begin to dream big. If you had unlimited resources, what would I do? You know, for us as creme right now, we you know we are putting up the creme center, we we want that place to be to grow, to become a hub, to be used to change communities, to be used to do conferencing, bring people there. You know, we are dreaming big around the you know the facility and making that facility so good. Dreaming big. And you know, last time when we were at the mission, we talked about supports, we are able to um, you know, broadcast this the session that we are having in the schools. Um, and using satellite technology, we are able to broadcast those sessions across all the schools in the country um with digital technology so that when we are in one mission, uh we are broadcasting those sessions live across multiple campuses, across many, many schools and colleges, so that we don't just minister in one school. That service is broadcast across all schools and each of our partner schools. You have a sort of a digital receiver that you place there and they can watch live, um, you know, the missions going on. So from one mission field, you can be able to touch multiple schools. You know, we be we begin to dream if we had unlimited resources, if we had everything, we begin to dream big. Um, and the same thing for you. Whatever you identify with, begin to dream big. If you had unlimited resources, what can you do? You know, when you begin to live like that, and you begin now to take this before God and to pray, you end up you know living on purpose. God begins to make it possible, He begins to make your dreams come to reality, and that's how people do great things, they end up you know doing amazing things, we end up changing the world, uh, doing something about the world because we are living on purpose and we are not living for ourselves. Brethren, it's day 11 of our

Day 11 Challenge And Closing

SPEAKER_01

third day challenge. You are being encouraged. There's work to be done today in your workbook. If you will take some time and do this, because it's important by the time we finish these 30 days, it's important for you to identify your purpose because there's a blessing, a special power that will only flow through you when you begin to live on purpose. Living for others, when you begin to serve people, when you begin to serve those around us, serve the nation, serve the community, serve your friends, serve the community, your family. When you approach life like that, then God begins to unleash resources and power and every single thing that you need. And before long,
