Spiritual Identity Declarations

SPEAKER_01

On the screen, I am a creative and compassionate spiritual being currently living in physical form. We are declaring who we are. And today we are going to be talking about that who we are, who we are not. So this is very, very important. We are spiritual beings living in physical form. And that means we must understand both worlds: the spiritual world and the physical world that we operate in. And then I'm wonderfully made. That means I'm perfect, I'm valuable, and I'm unique. There's nobody like me. There's no one who will ever come like me. And the same thing. There's no one like you. You are created by God. Touch this world in a divine way, in a special way. You have a divine fingerprint. That no one is like you. You have a unique DNA. That's how precious we are before God. And God's divine plan is for me to be connected in a loving relationship with Him and all living things. That is God's plan. When we are not connected to Him, when we're disconnected from Him, we function in the flesh. We have the ego. The ego is us disconnected from God. And that has always been the plan of the enemy, to get us disconnected from God. Because when we are disconnected from Him, we don't experience that how that's supposed to be flowing through us. And that's what the enemy likes. Whenever he wants to destroy you, the thing that he targets first is destroying your relationship, destroying your relationship with God. Then he proceeds to destroy your relationship with other people. And then he's got a new box in he destroys you. And but Jesus came so that our relationship with God could be re-established. And we can begin to experience that divine flaw. And we are on our way to becoming who God wanted

You Are Not Late

SPEAKER_01

us to be. Then I'm not late. There's a reason behind everything that has happened in my life up to this moment. I may not fully understand it now, but I choose to trust God. You are not late at all. The enemy wants you to feel like you are late. Even if, by the way, you joined this meeting, you've lost several days. You are not late. You are exactly on God's defined timing. And there's a reason behind everything that happens in your life. And you may not understand it. You may not understand the things that happen in our lives. But let us choose to trust the God who created us. He knows why. He knows the beginning from the end. And the end from the beginning. And we can fully trust in him and trust in his decisions and trust in his wisdom. And surely God's goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Declare that in your life that the God's mercy shall follow you. Not some days, but all the days of your life. Say my Amen to that. Hallelujah.

Daily Prayer And 30-Day Challenge

SPEAKER_01

Let's do our daily prayer. Father, I thank you for my blessed life, this magnificent universe that you've given unto us. We ask that you bless all living things today with your love, with your grace, and with your abundance. You flow to me and through me. Infinite love, joy, peace, purpose, and prosperity during this new day that you are given unto us. Say amen, amen, amen. Beautiful prayer. We're doing it every single day for 30 days. We are making it part of us. We are getting it embedded in our lives. Now that throughout our lives, God's, you know, power, love, and grace, purpose and prosperity shall flow. It should become a flow. You know, a flow is something that's continuous. It will continuously flow through your life. You'll be a dispenser of God's love. You'll be a dispenser of God's joy. You'll be a dispenser of God's peace. And you'll be able to live your purpose and enjoy His prosperity in Jesus' name. Seman amen to that. Wonderful, wonderful prayer.

Mantras For Strength And Purpose

SPEAKER_01

Let's do our mantras this morning. These are daily declarations. You can add more as you learn, as you grow, as you listen to God's word. These are things that you feel that God is speaking to us. We have just put a few here, and we are declaring with Paul. He says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We don't do this our own power, we do it through Christ who strengthens us. And this morning we declare that you shall be able to conquer today. You'll be able to overcome today. You may be feeling weak. Hey, will I make it to work again? Another day at work. We are speaking that to you. You will make it not because of your own strength, but through Christ who strengthens you. Maybe you are behind on your targets, you are behind on that deadline. You will make it. We declare through Christ who strengthens us. Even as a nation, when things look bleak, when the future looks a little bit sad, we declare with Paul, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. There's no pit that is too deep for God to remove us from. There's no mountain that is too high for God for us to climb, as long as we have God Jesus. The song that we used to sing that says, I, you know, I can climb all mountains. I can climb any mountain, I can climb and go through any valley because Christ is with me. And we pray that'll be your portion this morning in Jesus' mighty name. And then I'm living on purpose. I am on period. I'm exactly where God wanted me to be. And you know, things may have happened in my life. I may have taken detours, made mistakes, you know, taken long cuts and shortcuts and whatever. But I where I'm where exactly where God wants to be me to be, and I can trust Him to mold my life as we continue in Jesus' name.

Power Means Letting Go

SPEAKER_01

Hallelujah. Key truth this morning: power in the physical world is measured by how much you can lift up. That's how the physical world measures up. But in the spiritual world, power is measured by how much you can let go. And this 30-day challenge is designed to enable us to let go of things. Let go of bitterness, resentment, hatred, all those things that the enemy keeps throwing at us, we need to let go. We need to make sure they don't stick in us. We let them go. So that by the time we are graduating out of this 30-day challenge on June the 30th, we have got, we are free of all those things, unforgiveness, things that have you know hint us, lingered over our minds, we can let go so that we can be free for God to use us. You know, as long as we are burdened by those things, they clog up our blood system, they clog the flow of the Spirit of God through us. The moment you let go, you become a vessel that God can begin to use. You're not ignoring the pain, you're not ignoring what happened to you, you know, the things that you failed. No, we know it was hurting, we know it was difficult, but you are letting go so that God can begin to use your pain to be able to minister to others. And we pray that the Lord will help us in this 30-day challenge to free us from the past, from those things that want to stick on us and cause so much grief and bitterness. We can let go of things so that God can begin to use us. You know, the moment you let go of that pain, God begins to use that pain as your ministry. He begins to use it uh for your own glory in Jesus' name. Sema Amen. So, in the spiritual world, power is measured by how much you can let go. The more you can let go, the more powerful it becomes. Sema Amen to

Generosity And Seek First

SPEAKER_01

that. Uh, Bandas mentality, we are reminded again to leave from a position of generosity. This is a challenge, we are encouraging you. Maybe you haven't done it, step out there, be generous to those around you, the poor, give and whatever you can, whatever God has laid in your hand, be generous. And Deuteronomy 15:10, we are reminded give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart. Then, because of this, the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. Let us be generous. And the Bible, God reminds us here that we shall be blessed in all our work and everything we ever put our hand to. Sema Amen. Amen. Amen. Uh, key versus uh that we continue declaring every morning that seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We are praying that as we seek him here every single morning, surely, as we seek for his righteousness, as we thirst for a design to see his kingdom and advance, he promises us that all these things will be given to us as well. Anything that you need. The key to getting everything is seeking his kingdom and the righteousness. And today we'll be talking a little bit about that in our lesson. And in 1 Corinthians 2 9, he says that no eye has seen, and no hear has heard, no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him. God has prepared great things for us, brethren. Uh the desire or the key is remaining to love him. And we pray this 30-day challenge, God is going to encourage us to get to love him. Just to get to love him. If nothing else happens, these 30 days bring us closer to God, to a loving relationship with him, where we truly, truly love him for who he is. We don't love him because of what he does to us, but we get to love him for who he is, for what he has done already for us. He hung on the cross, he died there of shameful death. He took our sins or you know, our pain so that he could connect us back to God. And we begin to love him, begin to fall in love with him again and again and again. And the word Bible says, when we do that, see the things he has prepared for us, no eye has seen, no ear has eyed, no human mind has conceived. For those who love him. We pray that that become true to us. We shall experience it, we shall see this in our lifetime. Where you'll stand and wonder, oh my God, this is not me. This is the doing of the Lord. That people will even wonder, there's a song that uh we keep playing here sometimes. I'm a wonder. You know, people say, Wow, I'm a I'm a wonder. You know, I'm a I'm a miracle, I'm a miracle, I'm a wonder. Um, where people say, Wow, this is actually true. You are a wonder. Why? Because God has moved in our lives. Everyone that that will become true in our lives in Jesus'

Changed Hearts And Transformation

SPEAKER_01

name. Uh, 1 Samuel 10, 6 to 10, a prayer that we are making every day. Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you. This is Samuel speaking to Saul. And Saul is about to be transformed, he's about to be used of God to become a king for the children of Israel. And he didn't believe he could do it. Bible tells us that Paul, Saul, when he was called, he said, Oh, you know, he said, No, I'm the least, I'm the least, you know, our family is even the least. It's not it, maybe wrong utterance. Are you sure it's me? He was so, he felt so unqualified to be called to lead the children of Israel. So afraid. He went to hid to hide. When we was when when the party was going on, he went to hide and they had to look for him, and they found him hiding in a store somewhere, completely unable. He didn't feel he was qualified. Um now someone tells him, you know what? God is about to do something. He tells him, the Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you'll prophesy with them, and you'll be changed into a different person. That's right, when you come to Christ, when you get to know God, the one thing that he does is put his spirit in us, and we get changed, we become different. We are not the same anymore. Completely, you know the same, but you can never come to Christ and you become the same. It changes your language, it changes your thinking, it changes your priorities, it changes your perspective of life. You know, the things that we are important to you completely change. That's the transforming power of God's word. And I pray, brethren, it shall be true for us. As we journey along in the remaining 13 days that are ahead of us, or 12 days that are ahead of us, and may the Lord continue to change us so we can feel we have changed. That's why we testify. And then we meet, and brethren immediately, people give a testimony. A testimony is what God has done, the change that God has brought to us. You know, there's a so early song actually, there's like a combat song that you say, you know, one attack you. It means there's a change since I was born again. And since I go to know the Lord, there's a change. And that change comes because the Spirit of God comes on us. And not that just come on us, it comes powerfully on us. The Bible says as Saul turned to live in verse nine. God changed Saul's heart. We pray this morning, brethren, that these 30 days we are changed heart. Because when hearts are changed, we start, we begin to be used of God. When decisions are made. You see, I changed heart, it means something has shifted. We are no longer us. It's no longer I. That's why Paul says, it's no longer I who lives, but you. It's no longer me. It's never about me anymore. It's about you. That is flowing from a changed heart. And we pray that God is going to help us, brethren, to get changed, to be ready for service, to be ready to be used of God in these last days. In a time when people are thinking about themselves, when there's so much selfishness and greed in our community, in our society, we pray that God is going to change our hearts. The way he changed Saul, it says as he left, as he turned to leave, God changed Saul's heart. And immediately the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him and he began to prophesy, began to be prophetic about his life. God help us and change us this morning. Hallelujah. We

Health Disciplines And Lesson Preview

SPEAKER_01

remind ourselves of our health disciplines. Uh, take some time, connect with God if you can, outdoor, um, during your break. Um, you know, just switch off the phone, leave the phone on your desk, take out, go and stroll outside, connect with God, connect with nature, sit under a tree, reflect on his masses 10 minutes, only 15 minutes, switch off those gadgets, give that time to God. Um, you know, we have a responsibility to carve out some time for yourself. Just connect with God, uh reflect on him. Um, take a lot of water, two and a half liters, ten glasses of clean water. But we have a responsibility to take care of our bodies because they are our license for us to be here, and of course, purpose to be a blessing to someone today, and especially one that can't pay you back in Jesus' name. Let's roll on. Uh, as we get into today's lesson, we have 10 minutes or so to cover today's lesson, which I think is important, but this is what we have covered so far. Amazing. Um 17 days, we have covered so, so much. We've changed, we have received healing, we are continuing to write forgiveness letters, we have visioned our lives, and yesterday we talked about self-esteem. You know, how you value yourself, um, how you value yourself, how you see yourself. Um, you know, we talked about that, and if you didn't were not there, please listen to the recording because this is so important. Self-esteem, how you value yourself, how you project yourself, how the image, that the self-image, what you what you think about yourself, we covered yesterday. So this has got huge implications on who we become. And today, we want to pick on from there and complete this this uh topic on self-actualization and specifically focusing on who am I and who am I not. Very, very important today. I think it's a very, very perfect um uh topic. And especially after we have learned so many, we have learned how to connect with God, we have learned how to stay connected, um, you know, how to widen our connection with God. And today we want to look at who am I and who am I not? Very, very, very key in Jesus' name. And in Psalms 139, verses 14, the Bible says, I praise you because I'm fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I know that full well. The psalmist was so clear on who he was. In you, he was fearfully and wonderfully made. And the enemy would like to remove that from you. And we want to keep declaring. That's why in the everyday you see our first declaration, we are declaring who we are, that we are perfect, we are unique, we are God's creation. And in Genesis 1:27, it says, God, God created mankind in his own image. In the image of God, he created them, male and female, he created them. That is who we are. We are God's creation. We are God's, we are created in his own image, in God's image. That is who we are. And the enemy would like to remove that identity from us, and you would like us to not, you know, you like us to, you know, to uh to not be ourselves uh in Jesus' name. And let us make sure that that does not happen. Let's make sure that that is uh, you know, let's make sure that that is repeated. We repeat that to ourselves in Jesus' mighty name. So let's dive into today's lesson and we begin.

Who You Are Beyond Titles

SPEAKER_01

If you are in a party and you are in a meeting, sometimes we have fellowships and we ask even sometimes when you go out for missions and we ask ourselves, um, introduce yourself. Um maybe you're in a social event or in a company event or somewhere, and you know, we ask yourself, okay, introduce yourself. How do you identify yourself when you're given an opportunity to introduce yourself? What do you say you are? Um, there are several ways in which we introduce ourselves, several categories that we identify who we are. Um, in in we we use in there there are there are three Rs that we sometimes use to identify ourselves. The first R is role. You know, we identify ourselves with the role. We can say, you know, um I'm the chief executive officer, I'm the managing director, I am the general manager, I am mother, depending again on the social setting. Uh, we can identify ourselves with our career. We can say, you know, I'm an engineer, I'm an agronomist, I am a teacher, I am a pastor, I'm a bishop, I'm a you know, um we can identify ourselves with our careers. Uh some we sometimes we can use our qualifications. We can say, I'm a PhD, I'm Dr. So and so, I'm professor so-and-so, I'm an author, I'm a speaker. Um, so those are all roles that we can actually um use to identify ourselves. Sometimes then we look at the second, which is your responsibility, you know, what you are responsible for. You can say, Oh, I'm the father to so-and-so, I'm the mother to so-and-so, I'm the uncle to so-and-so, I'm the cousin to so-and-so. So, we can use also our responsibilities to um, you know, to introduce ourselves. Uh, and of course, relationships. Um, you know, you can say um, you know, related so-and-so. Um uh so these are all basically how we tend to introduce ourselves uh when we're given an opportunity uh to identify ourselves. Uh, but the question that we ask is is this who you really are? Is this you? Is this really, really who you are? When you say I am, you know, Dr. So-and-so, I am, and you know, remember I the word that now we talked about the use of the word I am. It's one of the lessons we've had here. Is this really who you are? I'm a doctor, I'm mother to so-and-so, um, father to so-and-so. Is this really who you are? I want to pause that and I want you to reflect on how you introduce yourself. Is that really who you are? And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. I just want to pack that up there, and I want you reflecting on that, uh, on exactly who you are. Then we look at a second dimension here, um, and we say, Um, suppose um we are reducing people here on earth. Suppose we get one of these, one day the world is being run by one man, and and he says, Hey, I think we are too many here, we have too many humans here, and we want to reduce people in this planet. And the leader of this new world says, Um, you know, you need to tell us what you contribute to the world for us to keep you here, because we want to reduce the Population we are now too many. We have you know 4 billion people or whatever number it is now, 5 billion, 6 billion. And we want to cut that number to 2 billion because we feel there's no space for everybody. And now we want you to tell us why actually you should be allowed to live. Um what value are you adding to the world? Now, suppose you are that question is given to you. Suppose now you have to explain, you have to justify your existence to this new world order here. How will you handle that? How will you justify you being kept alive? What value do you add to this universe? What skills do you bring? What production skills do you have? What ability do you have to contributes and make this world a better place? If that was the basis for your existence, what would you say you do? Again, I there's no right or wrong answer here, but I'm just throwing this for you to ponder over it because these are these things are important to us and understanding who we really are. What are you contributing to this society? Why should we keep you here? How are you making this world a better place? If people were to vote and say, tell us who should stay here. Will people say we need that man here, we need that lady here, without her, this world is going to be different. It's not going to be the same again. Um, yeah, we we we can't do without him, we cannot do without uh, you know, he is he or she is so valuable to society, we want you to remain here. What would be your contribution to this world? And again, it's something to ponder over as we look at this subject of who am I and who am I not? Because to know who you are or who you are not is key. To know who you are or who you are not is key. And that's the idea of the subject. That's the whole essence of today's um subject. Who am I and who am I not? Because that is key. Remember, the enemy wants to steal your identity. When you don't know who you are, then of course you can never accomplish much. And that's why the enemy focuses on identity. Make sure that it takes your identity. When people want to take advantage of you, people want to control you, people want to colonize you, the first thing they do is to take your identity. So you don't know who you are. And I know us in the continent of Africa, we've suffered from that. We are now emerging from that. We a lot of things we are planted in our minds, um, you know, as part of uh the colonization and slavery that happened in the past. And, you know, people we were made to believe that we are like second-rate people on this earth and that we are not good enough and we are backward and we are uncivilized. And it's taken years for us to decolonize our mind and to know that we are created in God's image and that we are not inferior to anybody. We are not inferior to anybody. And we we you know we you are as powerful as you can be, and and that God is not a God of favoritism. We we we are created equally, we have a right to be on this planet, and nobody is better than us because of race or because of color. So it's something that we have been you know dealing with, and I'm I'm I'm glad that there's an a new understanding, um a new leaf system that's been created, a new identity. We thank God for that. So understanding who you are and who you are not is critical to you living the life that God created you um for. So as we now um uh just coming um understanding who we are, the question is how did you form your identity? I the word I normally refers to our ego. And when you begin, when you're growing up, let's take, for example, um you are just yourself, and then you begin, let's say you you start getting things. Let's say you you get a phone. You be, you know, you you you you buy a phone, then the phone becomes yours. Now you own a phone, and then maybe you own a house or you own something. All these things that we acquire become added onto us, and they become part of who you are. That's that's the natural tendency. So if we are not careful, you started with nothing, but as you get things along the way, you get titles, you get jobs, you get positions. All these things get added into you and they become part of you. They become part of you. So you are plus the things that you get along the titles, the positions, the roles, the MD, the money, the cars, all these blessings as we call them that get it added into you. If you are not careful, you become one with them. The those things become part and parcel of you. But remember, that's not true. The things that you get along the way should never become part of you. If you lose those things, if you are not that they are part of you, is if you lose those things, do you diminish in any way? If let's say that job you have, if you lose it, do you diminish in value? Do you feel that you are lesser of a human being because of that job disappearing? If that money that you have is gone, will you grieve? Will it will you will you feel pain when that thing goes? All those things we have used to identify ourselves, if they are taken away from you, say I'm the mother to so and so, I'm the husband to so-and-so, I am this, I am the CEO. If those things are taken away from you, will you grieve over them? Will you will you grieve over them? If those things, when they are taken away, they cause grief from you, then you have a problem. We need to live in a position where the things that are added into your life, even if they are taken away from you, you should still be able to live. You should never become part and parcel of you and cause grief. Anything that can be taken away from you should remain detached from you. Anything that can be taken away should never, you should never allow it to define who you are. As long as it can be taken away from you, you should never ever let it define you. The things that the real you are are the things that nobody can ever take away from you. It's real you. And those are the things we are supposed to hold in dear. Those things don't change. They don't change with time, they can never be taken away from you by anybody. And we have been talking about them here, some of them here, generosity. Nobody can never take that away from you. It's in your heart. Being kind, loving. Nobody can take that away from you. They can take away the money, they can take away anything. But the decision to be kind, the decision to love, the decision to be generous, the decision to just be inclusive, the decision to love people, those are decisions, those are things that can never be taken away from anybody. And those are the things, the brethren, that we should allow them to define who we are. The Bible talks about the fruits of the spirit. You can read them there, we don't have time. The fruits of the spirit. And if we focus on those things, those are things that nobody can ever take away from you at all. They are yours, they are gifts from God. But all these other things, you know, the jobs they come and go, then you are the CEO. Uh, you know, you are tomorrow, you're not there. You come in, you are it's career jobs, you have that corner office. Within two, three years, it's gone. Somebody else sits in the same office. You retire, you do things, you grow old. That the things that you should do, you don't do them anymore because time has elapsed. And the mistake we make is to allow things to define who we are. So when those things are taken away from us, either by nature or whatever happens, and we wake up and they are not there, we don't know who we are. We are completely lost. You've seen people when you retire, they don't know who they are. I was reading a story of things happening. They said people are retiring, they go into the village into whom they they don't know who they are. Completely they are lost. They can't fit into society because they left many years ago, nobody knows them, nobody recognizes them. Within a few days, they are so frustrated, they die very soon. Because the jobs that they did defined them. So when the job is not there, they don't know who they are. Brethren, God is challenging us in these 30 days. Anything that can ever be taken away from you, let it never define who you are. Let it remain detached from you. The ego thrives on attaching things, the ego thrives on attaching stuff. Oh, that office, that job, um, that car, that piece of land, that house. And these are all great blessings that we have them. Let's enjoy them. I'm not saying we should not enjoy them. Let's enjoy all these blessings that God gives unto us. But let us hold loosely to them. Anything that can be taken away, let it never define who you are. Rather, let us be defined for the things that can never be taken away from us. And you know, the Bible refers to them to the fruits of the spirit. Those are the things that you treasure. Anything else? Hold very loosely, old very loosely. Let it never define you, and you're gonna be at peace, you're gonna enjoy life. You'll be you'll you you the enemy will never play around with you because he knows you're not defined. That's why you can give, you can give it all. You can keep it all. Take it. It's just as if you were fighting over this. No, take it. Peace. Because it cannot define who you are. You are at peace. Hallelujah. Who am I? Who am I not? I pray that these challenges us, brethren, take some time in the exercise there, play around with it. You know, are you attached to things? Just be asking yourself, suppose this is taken away from me. Hmm, how will I feel? Will I grieve over it? Then you need to pray for God to release you from that. Hold things loosely, the things that you are not in control, and begin to have an identity that's not defined by things that can be taken away from you. The Lord help us. This is a very important exercise. I think among any topic that we ever discuss in this third-day challenge, this is one of those we must get right. Don't be defined by your career, don't be defined by that car, don't be defined by that office, don't be defined by the bank balance. Don't be defined by the things, the blessings that God has sent to your way. Enjoy them, love them, cherish them, but let them not define who you are. You be at peace. Amen. Allow us to reach there, please. The exercise is there for you today. Ponder over that as you reflect during your connection with God, ponder over that. How do you introduce yourself? And the Lord will bless us. Let me allow Brother Michael to take us in prayer as we conclude the 18th. Welcome.
