Alec Card joins us for episode 4 of our first season!
Alec shares his unique journey growing up through the minor hockey system, before taking a break and eventually finding his way back to the game later in life. He shares tips for parents looking to get their kids into hockey while adding perspective around what the sport system has become.
Alec has deep ties to hockey in Edmonton - he was CCRHL Capital City Rec Hockey League Director from 2011 to 2018. He has also been a Hockey Edmonton coach, previous Director at Large, then Head Coach KC U18. In 2022 summer, he stepped back from coaching, now most recently is back as Director of Elite Hockey Edmonton. Alec also represents Elite-level hockey on the Hockey Edmonton board.
