Relational & spiritual unleashing explained through depth psychology with Deborah Lukovich, Ph.D.

Today on the Playing4Keeps podcast we have Deborah Lukovich, Ph.D., who is a depth psychology coach, which means her expertise is the study of the unconscious. She’s also an author, blogger, Instagrammer, podcaster, and now YouTuber, all ways she overshares her crazy midlife adventures and creates space for others to find deeper meaning in their own.  She holds a master's and Ph.D. in Depth Psychology with a specialization in Jungian and Archetypal Studies. 

Through coaching, writing, and conversation, Deborah is on a mission to empower people with a framework for self-reflection focused on learning the language of the unconscious, through which the Soul reveals clues about our deepest desires. 

She describes herself as an accidentally funny, awkward depth psychology nerd who is addicted to finding meaning in ordinary life events, and over-shares to encourage others to explore the deeper meaning of their lives. 
 
Her most recent book Your Soul is Talking. Are You Listening? 5 Steps to Uncovering Your Hidden Purpose, combines her Jungian—based coaching framework for self-reflection with personal stories of midlife unraveling and healing wounds related to sexuality and spirituality.

• How the unraveling of a long-term relationship unleashes buried wounds through triggered complexes - for me those complexes revolved around sex and men and showed up in the weirdest way - forced me to work on boundaries 
• Unexpected unleashing of buried sexual desire - for me it was with a man 17 years younger
• Looking at dating as practice and coming into a relationship with yourself instead of needing permanence - all younger men for some reason
• Being ready to be swept up by archetypal energies without an expected outcome, be open to a higher purpose - for me it was reconciling sexuality and spirituality - again a man 17 years younger - period of no-sex sex, spiritual orgasms, kundalini experiences
• Reconciling sexuality and spirituality unleashes creativity and other buried desires - begin to see relationships as ways we grow vs. projecting onto others the need to meet our needs
