Kevin Wilson is a music teacher with a rich experience of 19 years (and counting). His vision is to revolutionise the music education system in India. A while ago, upon visiting a school in New Zealand, Kevin was introduced to a specialised pedagogy called "the Orff Approach”. That experience led him to travel more often and has changed his life as a musician, a teacher, and a lifelong learner. Above all, the phenomenal impact this has had on his students fuelled his desire to do more.
Kevin's burden to upgrade the music education in India enabled him to reach out to like-minded teachers who, in turn, were able to spread the word, reaching many more such teachers, who were eager to learn. This led to the founding of Tāla Education. The word Tāla is derived from Sanskrit. It is an ancient, and still widely used, a term for time-measure or rhythmic beat and is considered the foundation of Indian classical music as it provides the metrical framework for a composition.
