My visit to the Legislature in Victoria
On this episode, 7-year-old Estella shares her experience visiting the Parliament building in Victoria, BC where she, her family and AutismBC spent the day advocating to the provincial government to put in proper and adequate supports for all kids who have support needs in the province. Estella talks about her experience on that day, the ups and downs and the thrill of taking the ferry for the first time. She also shares the top 3 things she learned on this day:
1. It is important to do the right thing when you are a minister.
2. Keep fighting and never give up.
3. There's always a silver lining even though things seem to not go the right way.
She ultimately wanted other kids and grown-ups to know that when we advocate for good things, we are helping lots of people.
