Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
With the looming release of Ravenloft: The Horrors Within, I wanted to start off a series of episodes focusing on the horror setting. If you have played in a Raveloft game, such as Curse of Strahd for 5e, and are hungry for more, there are the 2 other books for 5e, but don't dismiss the original Ravenloft run of products! Ravenloft started as a standalone adventure scenario during AD&D 1e, but due to its popularity, It eventually got expanded into its own dedicated campaign setting with a line of accessories all its own. In this episode I explore what products from this original line that the community considers to be the must haves. Tune in to get some suggestions on what to pick up to expand your Ravenloft game!
