Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
With all this bad news of Sony opting to get rid of physical games from January 2028 and forward, I wanted to focus again on a company that is all about physical media - Blaze Entertainment and their Evercade platform! The cart being looked at today is the 35th entry in their main line, a duo pack of Goodboy Galaxy and Witch N' Wiz. These 2 titles are modern games designed to be played on their original hardware and associated limitations (Game Boy Advance and the NES respectively). They both got physical releases created on their target platforms but joined forces for this Evercade cart to great effect. Although they are each very different games, tonally they are in step with one another and both ooze charm.
