Thirsty Thursday: When Praying is Hard

I confess that there have been times in my life when I had a terrible time offering any prayer to God.  Perhaps it was a time of anger, hurt, or despair.  I admit there have been times when I asked God: "Where are you?"  I was hurting and God didn't seem to show up.  God didn't offer me any peace or help...at least that is what it seemed. 

So, yeah I get it.  I get those times when you don't think your prayers rise above the ceiling or perhaps, you can't even seem to form any at all. 

Well...don't beat yourself up.  It's natural for most of us to have those days.  The key is to not stay there or sink deeper.  If it isn't handled, it can lead us to rebellion or even active distancing.  God doesn't want that...and I bet you really don't either.
