Cohosted by ARD Scholars Amr Hamzawy and Hesham Sallam, this two-part episode of Mofeed-19 features American University in Cairo (AUC) scholars Dina-Makram Ebeid and Amr Adly, who discuss findings from an AUC research project entitled, "Social Protection in Egypt: Mitigating the Socio-Economic Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Vulnerable Employment." The discussion focused on the project's research production, which includes papers exploring the impact of the pandemic on precarious labor, health and social public policies, as well as gender-based domestic violence.
