We're kicking off a brand-new series titled Sewer Signals, where we'll discuss the emerging field of wastewater surveillance and how it benefits the field of epidemiology. This episode has our series host Marcia Degen (Virginia Department of Health) sitting down with Jamie Mitchell (HRSD) and Raul Gonzalez (HRSD) to introduce the topic of wastewater surveillance and discuss HRSD's journey into monitoring the prevalence of COVID-19 early in the pandemic.
