Mel Gibson swings a sword, makes speeches, and somehow wears both a kilt and face paint, in defiance of all actual historical records. We talk its big Best Picture Oscar win, James Horner’s score that still gives us goosebumps, questionable history, and battle scenes that absolutely still slap.
