Show Notes Transcript Chapter Markers

Imagine walking into a grand celebration, a sea of white-dressed attendees, enveloped by the breathtaking cityscape of Paris - only to realize you're the odd one out, not in white. That's how I felt during the 'Dinner in White', a communal picnic like no other. This episode takes you on a journey through that experience, using it as a metaphor for our spiritual journey and the grand feast that awaits us upon Christ’s return.

We then move into a deeper exploration of the eternal gospel and the return of Christ, a narrative that weaves together faith, sacrifice, and ultimate judgment. Reflect on how the profound peace and harmony established upon Christ’s return echoes through every nation, tribe, language, and people. The eternal gospel serves as a beacon of hope in our faith journey, urging us to trust unconditionally, even in the face of uncertainty.

Lastly, drawing inspiration from Jesus' teachings in John 14, we share thoughts on what it means to live a life of faith in preparation for the return of Christ. From His victory on the cross to His promise to eliminate all tears, death, and pain - it all points towards hope, celebration, and a powerful call to surrender to God. Join us on this faith-filled journey as we explore the eternal wisdom of the scriptures and embrace the promise of salvation. This isn't just a conversation, it's an invitation to a spiritual awakening.

Pastor Jason Brown:

So are you ready to celebrate? I'd say this it's awesome whenever you get a chance to get a part of a party that you didn't know was happening. A few years ago, I was living in Paris and we were planning at International Church to the bridge, and you might imagine, paris is a pretty picturesque place, but it's a massive city full of people and it's kind of crazy, and so as we ended up in Paris, it was quite amazing, and so one of the things the ways that we got a chance to build relationships to people and community was we did a life group that was around photography, and so we would be out taking pictures in the city and we would do it in every season, and I'll tell you it was super hard in the winter to get out there and take some photos. It was beautiful, but it was cold. I know you guys don't know what that's like because we don't live in a place where there's actual winter, but you've seen the pictures. You guys don't know what it looks like. It's like white, it falls from the sky, anyway. So it wasn't then, and we had fast forwarded and kind of everybody wears like coats and black and they're very chic, living like for most of the fall all the way through the winter and even into the spring pretty late. And so it was this thing that when the finally the weather breaks and they can finally go outside, everybody lives outdoors. They're just outside in Paris all summer and it's a thing.

Pastor Jason Brown:

And so we were out taking pictures and it was a vibe, and we had a pretty good group of us together and we're taking photos here and there the architecture and the people and street scenes. It was awesome and we didn't really know, but there was this thing that was going on. And as we turned the corner that day, we came upon the dinner in white, and the dinner in white is exactly what it sounds like, except thousands of people are having a dinner in the middle of Paris and they're all dressed elegantly and they're having a dinner in all white. It looks like this you guys see the picture and the people are. I mean, it's just massive. And here we are dressed in not all whites as a group and we turn the corner to this massive dinner party dressed in all white, and it was a little bit taken back. We were like kind of blown away and the immediate thing that you want to do is like what's up with this party, like what's going on with this, and it's a thing, it's kind of word of mouth and people have to invite you and it's a whole thing where that's how you get part of it and you kind of see it and then you get to be a part of it and so they would invite you to come, and thousands of people showed up with their own table, their own picnic, their own food, to have this massive party together.

Pastor Jason Brown:

And I'll tell you, it's nothing more awkward than walking through a party of all different nationalities, all different people, all dressed in white, and you are not. It is awkward. You ever showed up to a place where you were under dressed and you're like trying to smarten up whatever it is you happen to be wearing. You're like buttoning the top button of whatever. You know. It's easier to dress down from being looking sharp, but man trying to dress up the other way. It didn't matter, I was wearing clothes like this. You guys know me, I wear black all the time, so I was wearing clothes like that. I show up. We're just kind of like how's it going? Hey, everybody, and they're not paying attention to us. They're very like look how gorgeous we are. You know how you guys are whenever you wear all white at your white party. You know I'm talking about. I'll tell you, man, like we had a great night and we were shooting photos, good photos, and had such an amazing experience. But all I wanted to do after I had been by the party was go to the party. I want to be a part of the party and we were not included because we weren't ready. You know, it makes me think spiritually about this big, massive party that we're going to have when Jesus returns back to earth and it says he's coming for his church and he's going to be the righteous king and he's going to be the just one and he's going to bring about peace. And it's going to be amazing. It's the marriage supper of the Lamb, when his church, his bride, come and is united with their king. It's going to be amazing and it's going to be like this People from every place, every tribe, every tongue, all coming together, washed and made holy by Jesus. Are you ready to celebrate?

Pastor Jason Brown:

We're looking at this theme called the end is near and we've been talking about it a little bit. So today we're going to jump off with this scripture If you have your Bible, your tablet, your phone. We're looking at this idea of life eternal, that we go beyond this life into the next and that we want to live our life with him forever. So Revelation 21.4 is where we're jumping off today. It says like this he will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more. Neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. We are looking to see how Jesus is the ultimate justice and he is the ultimate peace. By answering that question, are you ready to celebrate or we thank you for your word, we pray over it today, holy Spirit that you would make it alive to us, you breathe upon it, you'd be transformative, or that we would apply it to our lives to become more like you. We pray this in Jesus' name, amen.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Now we've been talking about this idea that the end is near at a friend of mine. They were driving up to the church the other day and they saw it on our sign outside. It says the end is near sermon series. Come check it out. This is what says on the sign, something like that. But all they saw was the end is near. They've been watching a lot of news and they were like oh no, oh no. The message is here. I'm like, guys, it's a sermon series. It's a sermon series, but it's true. We know that as these things start to happen, that the end is drawing near.

Pastor Jason Brown:

We look forward to the return of Christ. We say Jesus, let it be today, before the service is out, that we would be with you, that we would be one and we would be with you, excited for that. But if not, let us be those that are about his business, and so that's the way we want to live, that's the way we want to be about it. And so, as we look to the scripture who we are as a church this very much aligns with how we want to live for God. We're so glad you're with us today at Cornerstone. If we haven't met, my name is Jay and Celeste, and I have such a great opportunity of being a part of a great team here.

Pastor Jason Brown:

In serving all of you, we see ourselves as people who are on a journey with Christ. We're people that are actually walking with Jesus where he's leading us to go. None of us is perfect, three amens All the rest of you guys are liars in church. None of us is perfect. All of us are in need of a savior, so we need to go where Jesus is leading us to go.

Pastor Jason Brown:

You know, even as a pastor, you kind of get to these places kind of along your journey where you feel good. You feel like, yeah, this is jive and this is good. This is a nice, flat, even spot. You should set up tent here and just live in this space. And Jesus is like I'm going this way and you're like Jesus, this is nice and safe and comfortable. He's like cool story, I'm gonna pull and go this way. Are you coming with me? And so that's who we're called to be, is those who keep on following him. We wanna be more like Jesus. That's why we love God, we make disciples, we reach the world. It's his mandate to us and we're obedient to him. And so that's why we meet beyond just the weekend gatherings. We meet throughout the week, throughout the city and life groups, so that we can connect, grow and serve together. Let me encourage you that you would be intentional with your faith and be a part of a community of faith so that you can grow as well in one of our life groups.

Pastor Jason Brown:

You know, looking at this sermon series. We've been talking about that. We, as Christ followers, are those who believe in our God, who is a creator, god, he is the only true God, and we know that. He says his name is Yahweh, the I am, and as he reveals himself to us, it's one of personal relationship, and so, even from the very time where he created us in his image, he breathed into us his life. It's been a relationship, and it's one that we absolutely rejected and broken because of our decisions to reject him.

Pastor Jason Brown:

And since that time, the story of God and mankind has been written through this scripture. We see how, time and time again, he reaches back out to his people and tries to draw them to himself in relationship, and time and time again, how, throughout scripture, we reject that because we're broken and we push away, trying to do our own things and worship things that have no business being worshiped. And so that's this narrative that we find ourself in, and it was to such a point that he himself realized that the only sacrifice was one for a holy God would have to be a holy sacrifice. It was no longer an animal that would take the sin of a person and be taken care of as a sacrifice, but instead Jesus comes as a sacrifice for all people, for all time. He becomes a holy sacrifice for a holy God. Because we can't earn our way into the presence of a holy God. It is only by his hand, his gift, his work for us that we accept it by faith, the grace of God for us, and because of it we're reconnected to him in relationship.

Pastor Jason Brown:

So as we look at these scriptures, we see that narrative continuing toward the end of time for his return back here to the earth. And as we look at the revelation of Jesus Christ to John. And as we look at these things, we look at the different prophets that were written, like Isaiah and Daniel. As we look at them, we understand through a mirror, dimly. It means we understand in part and we trust in faith, and so we hold these things as attention. But looking to the scripture, we do see a clear narrative. That's here.

Pastor Jason Brown:

First, we know that Jesus will return for his church, what's called the rapture. It means he's coming back for us and when he comes back for us it's gonna be an opportunity for us to go and to be in his presence. And it says there will be a judgment, the judgment seat of Christ for his saints, meaning he'll ask us what did you do with the talents that I gave you, with the things I gave you? What did you do with them? And we'll have to account for what we did with our life and what we did with our talent, what we did with our treasury, what we did with our testimony, what we did with our time. And he'll ask us of each of these things and we'll see what really was eternal and what was not.

Pastor Jason Brown:

But after that time on the earth there's gonna be what's called the great tribulation. It's gonna be a time of hardship, and in two parts, with the second part being even harder than the first part, and we'll see the rise of the influence of the antichrist, pushed by the enemy of our soul, satan, and we see this whole rise on the earth. And after that time Christ will return, the return of the Lord. He'll come and he'll establish a peace for a millennium and then, ultimately, he will do away with for all time the evil one in all that align with him. There will be justice. And so we look at this timeline and we look at it and understand the work of God for us and we look forward to the return of the Lord. Now, what we see is clear is that this eternal gospel that's been given to us will continue until he returns, and we see that in Revelation 14.6, it says it like this then I saw another angel flying directly overhead with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.

Pastor Jason Brown:

And he said with a loud voice fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, in the sea and the springs of water. Did you hear it? Did you hear what he said? It's for every people, it's for every one, from every place. It's from every tribe, every single tribe, every nation, for every language, for every people.

Pastor Jason Brown:

You think about the things that divide us here on earth right now? It's this thing Even within countries, there's infighting between tribes, even between nations, where we fight and we don't like another nation because of this reason or that, or power struggle, or maybe we don't like them because they don't speak our language, and so they are a they and we are a we. Or maybe it's this people group or that people group and so we had this animosity towards each other. But that is not how God sees it. He loves us all. It's his heart that every tribe, every tongue, every people, that we will look like everyone, because everyone was made in his image, that we were made in his image, every single one of us. And so every single one of us should have that opportunity to experience the gospel transformation in their life, that they would have the opportunity to embrace the living God for themselves, from every tribe, from every nation, every language, every people See.

Pastor Jason Brown:

That's why we pray for our brothers and sisters that are in other places, that are difficult, even whenever we, as a nationality of this nationality, might not like that nation because of what they're doing. We pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ inside of those nations. We pray for the people inside of those nations that they would turn to God, even whenever those people come against us and they are the very enemy of us. Jesus says pray for your enemies so that they too would be redeemed to become an ally, a brother and sister in Christ. And so this is the very thing that we see is that this gospel message that we've been in trust with, this very thing, will take forward all the way to the very end when Christ comes, and so that's why we do what we say. We make disciples, we reach the world. We wanna be those who are part of his business, of taking that message of his love for mankind to everyone. And so we look here and we see that things start to start ramping up and the power on the earth, as the church has been taken away, the power on the earth will actually rise and we'll see the anti-Christ rise and we'll see all those that are attacking the people of God and there'll be a big battle at what's called Armageddon.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Now, armageddon is a literal place, it's an actual valley in the Holy land, and actually there have been battles fought there. You can find it in kings and other places, and it talks about this coming together, this massive battle, in Revelation 17,. It says it like this these are of one mind. They hand over their power and authority to the beast, and we talked about how the beast is established last week of power that's aligned itself with darkness. They will make war on the lamb and the lamb will conquer them, for he is the Lord of lords and the king of kings, and those who are with him are called and chosen and faithful. You think about this idea about who is victorious here. The lamb is victorious and he will conquer all that rise against him. In fact, that's what's called the return of the Lord that Jesus will come and he'll come back as a conquering king. He will come back in a way to establish justice on the earth, to put away evil once and for all. It says it like this in Revelation 19, 11,.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Then I saw heaven open to behold a white horse. The one sitting on it's called faithful and true and in righteousness. He judges and makes war. His eyes are like the flame of fire and on his head are many diadems and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed with a robe dripped in blood and his name is. Which is called is the word of God. See, what it's describing is Jesus.

Pastor Jason Brown:

It's a return of Jesus it talks about in John. In the beginning was the word, and the word was God and the word was with God. These things are together. It's Jesus, the Christ from the beginning, beyond creation. Father, son, holy Spirit, the personhood of Jesus Christ. He will return as a conquering king here to earth, and this is what I love about it. It's the holiness that represented, you see, the white horse that he's supposed to be upon, and it represents the holiness of who he is and the fire that burns within him, the holiness, the representation of the presence of God, all there amongst what he's doing, and you can see this idea of who he is and what he's about.

Pastor Jason Brown:

But notice this notice that, as he comes, it's not the blood of his enemies that he's in, it's his own blood. See, the thing that he's victorious in is that he has already become the sacrifice for the world. So it's not the blood of his enemies that becomes Nixon victorious. He is already victorious before he arrives. So, as he's coming to the earth, he's already coming to a place that is his own and he's doing away with evil once and for all. You'd say, why do these things happen? Why would he come in this way? Why would he allow because he has mercy that as many as can come to him would come to him, even to the very end?

Pastor Jason Brown:

And then he comes with justice and it talks about. He comes and he arrives on a white horse and it's a symbolism of holiness, it's a symbolism of his presence, and I don't know if you've ever thought about a white horse, but it's something where they don't stay white very long Because the white horse is outside in the dirt. But have you ever seen it? I mean, it's pretty amazing, it's pretty striking to see like these majestic animals, and they're there in this way. It even talks about how the armies of heaven, his church, will arrive in this way it says and the armies of heaven arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, we're following him on white horses. It means we get to arrive with him, from the rapture being in his presence being made holy, the representation of the reflection of God's presence, that we arrive back with him in this way. Talk about a celebration. I was at a white party but nobody rolled up on white horses. You know what I'm saying. It's a whole nother level, y'all, especially out of the sky. No, if you think about this, the arrival of what it would be like it'd be a powerful thing, the imagery that's there. But here's the thing In each one of these descriptions of who it is, these people are faithful, even till the end. It means they're ready to be a part of the party. See, it says it like this in several other places. Jesus talks about this idea. We don't have the time to go today. I'm gonna challenge you this week to challenge you to read it yourself, study yourself.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Matthew 22 at first talks about the wedding feast. And he says he sent out invitations that all would come and people made excuses. And when people came, there was even those who came, but they weren't ready for the feast, they didn't have the right garment on and they weren't able to participate, see, because they weren't made holy so they couldn't come in. In the same way he talks about it Matthew 25, the 10 virgins, and they're waiting for their arrival of the bridegroom, their arrival of Christ. And even though they had been set apart, they did not not all of them, they didn't stay ready, some fell asleep, some were not ready when he arrived.

Pastor Jason Brown:

And so his challenge to us is that we would be ready for the party, that we would be ready to celebrate with him, that we would be ready for all that he wants to do and we would not count ourselves as not faithful. Instead, be faithful to the end. Be faithful to the end and it talks about it here that we will rule in reign with him and there'll be peace on earth from millennium. It says that our enemy, satan, depicted here in Revelation, as the dragon will be locked away and that there will be a time on earth of peace. It says, after that time he'll be released for a season and the ultimate judgment will come. The great white throne judgment will come and it will be the end of evil once and for all.

Pastor Jason Brown:

In Revelation 20,. In Revelation 20 it says and I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne and the books were opened. Then another book was opened and it was the book of life, and the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Verse 14 says then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, and if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Pastor Jason Brown:

See, this judgment is actually justice, and it was meant not for us as mankind. This justice was actually meant for those who were pushed from heaven as they rejected God and rejected him and followed Satan. And this was the justice that we read about. It's the presence of God, the holiness of God burning for eternity against things that are not holy. So because it's not holy, they burn forever. And see, that's never meant for us, it's never meant for any of us.

Pastor Jason Brown:

But as we align ourselves with evil, as we align ourselves with the evil one, as we spiritually have the 666 on our hand, then we align ourselves with him and we get the justice that's coming to him, because we too have embraced evil. But instead, if we are those that place our faith and trust in Christ and we're those who invite Christ to become part of our life, then we are washed clean of that sin, we are made something new, we are holy and righteous and we belong to him and our name is in the book of life. And so we come to the celebration, while others don't get in. And it's his heart that everyone would come and be a part of it, that none would go and suffer eternity away from his presence. And so, as we look to this justice it is a true justice we think about often how does evil get away with doing what it does, and how do these people who are evil live and do all these things, that they don't come to justice. They will come to justice. A justice is coming. They might think they're getting away with it here, but, friends, they are not.

Pastor Jason Brown:

And thankfully, the one true judge, the only judge who is righteous, is the one that will be the justice for all people. It says that the Lord will come and he will deal with Satan and with all evil once and for all. And so, as we look to that dragon in Revelation, it will be dealt with, and all that align themselves with him will be dealt with and they'll be put away forever. There will be no more evil here. And it says there will be a new heavens and a new earth, a new Jerusalem, and it says that it will be a place that's transformative and amazing, like the garden. It will be a place that we've been looking forward to forever.

Pastor Jason Brown:

It says in Revelation 21 and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying behold, the dwelling place of God is with men. He will dwell with them and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God, it says. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more. Neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. See, that's exactly what we think of when we think about all that we struggle in this life.

Pastor Jason Brown:

We think about the matthos hierarchy of needs. We think about all those things on the bottom tier of that triangle and how we try to scrape and make a way to get those things, because that's what we need. We have to have them. But think about this if all of that was taken care of forever, there is no more pain, there is no more need for safety, because there is no more war, there is no more hunger, there is no more suffering, there is no more thirst, there is no more crying, no fear, there is no death, because Jesus paid for it once and for all, for you and for me. And so we get to live in this place where it is absolutely the fulfillment of all that we've been looking for a place of peace. And he comes and he establishes justice and he gives us peace. And because it's those things, we get to worship in his presence forever. The best self-alxivization there ever was is to understand who you are in the Creator's hands and to be in his presence, getting to worship for all time with him, that we get to be a part of that narrative of being with him and getting connected to him forever. It is going to be the biggest celebration of all time, the biggest party that you don't want to miss out on the marriage supper of the Lamb. And so I'm going to encourage you that you would be one included in it, getting to be a part of that celebration, being longing to Jesus Christ and to that.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Scripture says like this it says he who was seated on the throne said Behold, I am making all things new. Also, he said write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. He's making you a new creation. No longer the brokenness of your past, no longer your mistakes, no longer your sin, no longer the things that you've done that were errors. You are a new creation and you belong to him, and we will rule and reign with Christ forever.

Pastor Jason Brown:

It talks about these things, and Jesus himself says it like this in John 14. He says let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house there are many rooms. If it were not so, what? I've told you that I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and I will take you to myself. That where I am, you may be also, and you know the way to where I am going. See, friends, he goes to prepare a place for you, for you, that, wherever you are today, that he prepares a place for you because he wants you with him forever. That's the kind of celebration, that's the kind of eternity that we have in Christ, that we would be there with him forever.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Now it talks about it like this is we looking at this idea? The end is Near. We put all these things into a frame and we understand that the end dictates how we live now and we want to be those that that are faithful all the way to the end. We want to be more like Jesus, so we want to keep living after him and doing the things that he has us to do, full of the spirit of God, that we would be those living that way. Jesus himself, he says we're to pray like this.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Let's read it together Our father in heaven, halloween. Be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors, and Lead us not into temptation, meditation, but deliver us from evil. It's what it says. It says your kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. What does that mean? That his, his heaven, is coming to earth, but we're called to live like it, now that we're called to live full of the spirit of God and the love of God now Making wherever we affect and whatever we change in how we live, as part of the heaven that's already coming because we belong to him, our citizenship is with him, we are his. So, since that's true, let's live for Christ. Let's live as a part of those that are looking forward and ready for the party, because the celebration is coming.

Pastor Jason Brown:

As we look to this scripture, we look again and understand that this life is not temporary, but we live a life that's eternal, beyond death, and so we need to be those that live for God. We look forward to his justice and peace. We look forward to what he's doing on our behalf. As he says, he will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more. Neither shall there be mourning nor crying or pain anymore. For the former things have passed away. I've made you a new creation.

Pastor Jason Brown:

As we come here to this idea and we're asking that question Are you ready to celebrate? We have to answer this question. Have you embraced Jesus? Maybe you hear today You've never made the decision to follow Christ. Today is your opportunity to do so. It's your opportunity to embrace Christ into your life once and for all. And maybe you've been here and you have made a decision in the past, but maybe you walked away from living for him actively. Friends, today is an opportunity to say Lord, I, I recommit my life to you, I want to live for you with all that I am. I'm gonna ask if you're here in the room, if you just stand right where you're at today, just bow your head. If you're online, just prepare your hearts and what God wants to say.

Pastor Jason Brown:

See for us, the image of the cross is one of salvation. It's one of freedom and it's one of grace. It's one of love and it's meant to be an image of Fear and intimidation, one the Romans used because it meant death and suffering. But because Christ came, he took my mistakes, my sin, and he paid for it up there. He took all the disease and all the sickness, and he paid for it there on the cross. He did all those things so that we could be made whole in him. He is already Victorious, and so our faith and trust is in the living God, who's victorious and is our healer and is our provider, and is our soon-coming King. And? And since that's true, then we look at this cross and we say Jesus, I believe you are who you say you are. We realize that we are broken people. We can't earn our way to a holy God. It's only by his gift of salvation for us, his grace upon us, that we can respond in faith. Apostle Paul, he writes it like this to the church at Rome when he says because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, with the mouth one confesses and Is saved.

Pastor Jason Brown:

Friends, today is your day to make a decision To embrace Christ in your life. I'm gonna ask if heads are about here. That's you. You just indicate to me by raising your hand. If you're here in the room or online, just message us to say include me today in this prayer pastor, see the hands that are raised here today.

Pastor Jason Brown:

People want to make a decision or recommit their life to God. We thank you, lord, for these that are making a decision after you. We thank you, lord, for all that you're doing. Thank you, jesus. I'm gonna ask if everyone would, if they just pray this prayer after me. Lord, thank you for loving me. Thank you for sending Jesus. I Believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I Believe he rose again. Forgive me of my sins. I Surrender my life to you In Christ name. I pray Amen. Friends, we rejoice to you, those who made a commitment to Jesus today. What a powerful thing, amazing. You made that commitment online. We're so thankful for you.

Pastor Jason Brown:

If you're here in the room, if you just let us know about your commitment, if you would just come over. We want to give you a resource during this song, right back here at our prayer prayer area. We want to put something into your hand so that you can be successful in living after Jesus. And if you're making the decision online and you just message us, we want to send you that same information, because we want to see you be triumphant with God For all of us as we come to this altar.

Pastor Jason Brown:

We're so very thankful that we get to celebrate with Jesus for eternity and that we would have nothing that holds us back from him, but that we would be full of the Spirit of God, so that in this time, at this altar, I would ask that, if that's you you just want more of him and you just want to draw close to him that you would come and make an altar with God. Lord, we're so very thankful, lord, for your word to us. Lord, even in the revelation, that challenges us to live for you to the end. Lord, we look forward to spending eternity with you, in the presence of who you are no suffering, no pain, lord, only joy and celebration. And so, lord, we rejoice in these things, lord, and we ask that you empower us by your spirit, lord, that we can be those Lord that live for you and do all that you've called us to do. Lord, until you return or until we go to see you. We pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Pastor Celeste Brown:

Well, I am excited we are gonna get ready to start our fall family day. I just want to encourage you as you head out, there is a Table gonna be set up for registration. We want you to start at that point. That way we can get you set up and let you know where to go from there. We're gonna have fun and I'm excited we are having a pya pastor and that fire Bible that we are talking about we are gonna give to missions. You can start that today. So I have my hundred dollars for fire Bible and I'm gonna let one of my kids pie their dad in the face because I just think that's a great way to start the afternoon. So, if you want to do that, we have a few pastors that have willingly put their name on the list that are willing to go and do that. So that's part of it this afternoon, and we have some food and some chili and all kinds of fun stuff. So it's gonna be a great day.

Pastor Jason Brown:

It's a totally free event, so encourage you to come and stay, be a part and invite a friend to come. They can. You can even Text them and say, hey, show up, we have room for them. So let it be a blessing. There's also all sorts of great chili and stuff happen, so it's gonna be a great day where we go. Let me praise blessing over us. The Lord bless you and keep you. Lord, make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. We'll lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Lord. I pray a blessing upon your church, your people. God, you'd empower us by your spirit to live your love out to those around us. We pray all this in the powerful name that is Jesus Christ. Amen, amen, know this. We love you very much here at cornerstone. God bless you. Have a great fall family day. I.
