The 107th annual American Farm Bureau Convention was held January 9-14 in Anaheim, California, where Lindy McMillen, of Dighton, Kansas, competed against 36 others in the national Young Farmers and Ranchers Discussion Meet. McMillen was the overall winner, which earned her a ,000 credit toward a new Ford vehicle and paid registration to the American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference. The national runner up in the Discussion Meet was Cody Burke of Kentucky. Kade Hill, of Illinois, won third place, and Bradie Anderson, of Idaho, finished in fourth place.
