2 Peter 1:1 shows that we have obtained an equal privilege of like precious faith with ourselves in and through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. We have received a measure of faith to use continually, not just in times of need. We used faith while we were yet sinners - to believe in a God we could not see, and the salvation His Son Jesus paid for at the cross, to receive eternal life. Now born-again, we should be walking by faith and not by sight (our senses). In this episode however we begin by setting some of the foundation for future weeks on the subject. That is, after becoming one of God's children, sons and daughters, we should use that faith to increase our trust in Him, His Word, to develop our relationship with Him, and to then represent Him more effectively on this earth as our actions have the ability, with Faith, to bring Heaven here.
