Send us a text

This week we continue with Part 2 of 'Not Every Door Leads to Life.' This week we focus on moving towards the path of Life. Identifying the correct doors. Understanding what it takes to find and remain on the narrow path that leads to Life.

Remember: every person, place, or thing is a door. Why? Because each require you to allow a person into your life. You agree to enter the door of a location and you agree to use every object to let it into your life. If Jesus was a door then people can be doors that lead you into their lives and agreements for what they do.

We discuss the following topics:

 - Identifying the path to Jesus.
 - How can we find the Gates that lead to Life and the Lord?
 - Who shall enter the Gates of the Lord?
 - What are the benefits of seeking the Door to Life through Jesus?
 - What good is it to gain the world and lose your soul?

This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Psalm 119:105, Psalms 37:23-24, Matthew 6:21, Genesis 4:6-7, 1 Corinthians 6:12, James 4:7, Philippians 4:6, Philippians 4:8-9, Philippians 4:8-9, John 14:6, Matthew 6:33, Matthew 7:15-16, Matthew 7:15-16, Hebrews 1:1, John 10:7, John 14:6, Philippians 4:9, Psalms 118:19-20, Matthew 7:14, Psalms 24:3-6, Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 7:23-24, Revelation 3:7-8, John 15:1-8, 1 Romans 5:8, Psalms 8:34, Psalms 119:2, Psalms 23:1-6, 2 Peter 1:4, Psalms 103, Matthew 16:26, 1 John 2:17, 1 Corinthians 10:13-14, James 1:13-14, Proverbs 22:17-20, Proverbs 22:19, Galatians 5:16.

(Transcribed by TurboScribe.ai. Go Unlimited to remove this message.) And welcome back to yet another episode of Touch of God. My name is Catrice. I'll be bringing the message to you this week. For those of you who like to follow along with the Bible verses, we'll use the Amplified Classic. This week, we'll be continuing with Not Every Door Leads to Life, Part Two. Last week on Not Every Door Leads to Life, Part One, we spoke of the following items. Sometimes we are just living life unaware what we do or don't do can create a blessed life or a cursed life. We do not need to make an appointment with the devil to participate in his school to hell program. Every time you agree to a relationship with someone, you are opening a door to good or evil. The same applies to going through the door of locations and using objects or things. You directly benefit from who you're around. If they are doing evil and you are in a relationship with them, their demons, diseases, bad habits, curses are now on and in your life as well. Every location you go into, you are in agreement with what they are doing on that land. Every object or thing, when you buy it and use it, if any spirits are attached to it, they are yours now. It's time to not just go anywhere, do anything and be with whoever. It's time to use wisdom and be aware of what doors you are opening. Last week's topics that we discussed. What are doors? Doors that lead to the devil through the desires of the flesh? What can I do to resist temptation? How do we know which doors lead to life? This week on Not Every Door Leads to Life Part 2, we will be continuing on the topic of doors and what they can lead to. Jesus is the door to life if you choose that door. It's never too late to take advantage of the deal Jesus offers you for eternity. There is a lifetime warranty for those who choose to renew their prescription every month. You just have to choose Jesus and remain signed up for his program and of course follow and do the guidelines in his manual, which is the Bible. A disclaimer, details of the contract are in John 15 1-8 for reading on your spare time. So John 15 1-8 talks about remaining in Christ and you should read that on your spare time. Today we will be discussing the following topics under Not Every Door Leads to Life Part 2, identifying the path to Jesus. How can we find the gates that lead to life and the Lord? Who shall enter the gate of the Lord? What are the benefits of seeking the Lord? What are the benefits of seeking the door to life through Jesus? What good is it to gain the world and lose your soul? Let's start with identifying the path to Jesus. Last week we talked about the different types of doors, access points, opportunities, decisions to be made. What can lead to temptation? How every relationship, every location entered and everything or object used, you come into agreement with and it opens doors to your life. This is what gives a spirit access to you. Your agreement with it. Your actions and lifestyle choices. Jesus made a way for those who no longer want to walk in darkness. Let's go to Psalms 119 105. Your word, which is God's word, is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. Psalms 37 verses 23 to 24. The steps of a good man are directed and established by the Lord when he delights in his way and he busies himself with every step. Verse 24, though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down for the Lord grabs his hand in support and upholds him. Amen. A little bit of review from last week. When we're going through life and we're having to pick these different doors of who we're communicating with, the location and things that we're using, we need to master the temptation. So mastering temptations to stay on the narrow path, determine where your treasure is. Matthew 6 21. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. If your treasure is ungodly, your path will be ungodly. If your treasure is the Lord, then your path will be filled with the light of Jesus and life. Example coming to the Lord to receive money and power. This is the wrong heart motive and heart posture to come to God with. Why do we need to master sin? What does that look like? Let's go back to Genesis 4, 6 to 7, which I read last week. And this is about a guy named Cain and Cain's offering wasn't the best that he could give or the best that he had that he gave to the Lord. So Genesis 4, 6 to 7. And the Lord said to Cain, why are you angry? And why do you look sad and depressed and dejected? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at your door. Its desire is for you, but you must master it. So when we enter into these agreements with different doors, whether it's a person, a place or a thing, we need to master that thing that we're coming into agreement with. Let's look at 1 Corinthians 6, 12. I have the right to do anything you say, but not everything is beneficial. I have the right to do anything, but I will not be mastered by anything. It's back to mastering sin, which we just read about in Genesis 4, 6 to 7. And now in 1 Corinthians 6, 12. To be mastered is to have that person, place or thing determine your life actions. For example, when someone starts off drinking and then becomes a alcoholic, the drink is mastering them because they are not able to say no to it anymore. We want to always be able to say no, resist temptation. Only by submitting to God can you resist temptation, then the devil will flee. James 4, verse 7. So be subject to God, resist the devil, stand firm against him and he will flee from you. Let's look at Philippians 4, verse 6. This is Jesus speaking. Do not fret or have anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition, definite request with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Philippians 4, verse 8 to 9. Jesus also speaking. For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome, pleasing and gracious. If there is any virtue and excellence, if there's anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of those things. Fix your mind on them. Verse 9, practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me and model your way of living on it and the God of peace of untroubled, undisturbed well-being will be with you. Use the words in Philippians 4, verse 8 to 9 and the entire chapter as a navigation through life. When we are looking for what doors are good and not good, let this be your standard to guide you. Let's go to how can we find the gates that lead to life and the Lord. We must go through the right door to enter into the kingdom of God. Contrary to belief, all roads do not lead to God. There is only one way to the Father. That is the Father of Jesus. You can only get to the Father of Jesus through Jesus. There's only one way to the Father. John 14, 6, Jesus speaking to his disciples. Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by through me. We must go through the right door to enter into the kingdom of God. Let's review Matthew 6, verse 33, which we spoke about in the previous week. But seek, aim and strive after first of all, his kingdom and his righteousness, his way of doing and being right. And then all things taken together will be given you besides. Please note that if someone tells you smoking, drugs, palm reading, going to a shaman, crystal balls, witchcraft, black magic, a good witch, a white witch and other ways lead to God, they are not talking about Jesus. They are leading you to the God they serve. Ask if they are talking about Jesus before you enter into and make agreement with any doorways they're wanting you to go down or any pathways. When you come into agreement with that person and that thing they are offering, that spirit is waiting for you as a sacrifice to their God they serve. You opened a door into your life when you make that agreement with that person, that place or that thing. So we just finished talking about coming into agreement with things that are ungodly. Here in Matthew 7, verses 15 to 16, it says, beware of false prophets who come to you dressed as sheep, but instead they are devouring wolves. You will fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns or figs from thistles? Let's go to Hebrews 1 verse 1, in many separate revelations, each of which set forth a portion of the truth and in different ways, God spoke of old to our forefathers in and by the prophets. Verse 2, but in the last of these days, and I'm going to repeat that again, but in the last of these days, he has spoken to us in the person of a son whom he appointed heir and lawful owner of all things. Also by and through whom he created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time, he made, produced, built, operated and arranged them in order so that we are not misled during these last days. We are reading right here in Hebrews 1 verses 1 to 2, that in the previous days, the days of old, God had a prophet, but in these last days, which many will agree that those are the times that we are in now, we are to listen to the son, which is Jesus Christ. So right now, if you're being led astray or you're following someone because you want them to give you a word, when we follow the Bible and what literally the Bible says so that everybody's on the same page and there's not different opinions, we can read right here in the verse. And so we know who we're supposed to be following so that we're not led astray in these last days. Let's look at John 10 7. Jesus said, again, I assure you most solemnly, I tell you that I myself am the door for the sheep. So the Lord is wanting people to go in the right direction. And he's telling you in John 10 7 that he is the door for the sheep. So if you're following Jesus Christ, you are a sheep and he's the door he wants you to walk through. Let's go to John 14 6. Jesus speaking to his disciples, Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. Jesus says through me because he is the gate by which you must enter to get to the father who is God. Remember in John 10 7, when Jesus says, I am the door, let's look at Philippians 4 verses 9. This is Jesus speaking, practice what you have learned and received and heard and in me and model your way of living on it. And the God of peace, of untroubled, undisturbed well-being will be with you. Read and study the life of Jesus so that he can be with you. Let's go to who shall enter the gates of the Lord. Because we're speaking about doors and gates are the same. Let's look at Psalms 118 verse 19 to 20 verse 19. Open to me the temple gates of righteousness. I will enter through them and I will confess and praise the Lord. Verse 20. This is the gate of the Lord. The uncompromisingly righteous shall enter through it. So who's going to enter through it? The uncompromisingly righteous. So enter through it. Verse 21. I will confess, praise and give thanks to you for you have heard and answered me and you have become my salve. Matthew 7 verse 14. But the gate is narrow, contracted by pressure and the way is straightened and compressed that leads a way to life. And few are those who find it. So God is telling you that the gate is not wide. The path to the Lord is not wide because you have to walk in a certain way. And we saw in the previous verse that in Psalms 118 it talks about being uncompromisingly righteous. The righteous shall enter through it. Let's look at Psalms 24 verse 3 to 6. Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord or who shall stand in his holy place? Verse 4. He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or what is false, not sworn deceitfully. Verse 5. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Verse 6. This is the generation description of those who seek him, who inquire of and for him and of necessity require him. Who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Matthew 7 verses 21 to 23. Jesus speaking. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father and who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name and driven out demons in your name and done many mighty works in your name? This is why we must seek Jesus and not prophecy or miracles. Many see this as magic, sadly, and are drawn to it. This is the abundance of their heart, where their treasure is. They seek after the supernatural and not a relationship with Jesus. The relationship with Jesus is the important part because apart from Jesus, you can do nothing. And that's John 15. Let's continue with Matthew 7, 23 to 24. It's Jesus speaking. And then I will say to them openly, publicly, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who act wickedly, disregarding my commands. Verse 24. So everyone who hears these words of mine and acts upon them, obeying them will be like a sensible, prudent, practical, wise man who built his house upon the rock. Let's look at Revelations 3 verses 7 to 8. And to the angel messenger of the assembly church in Philadelphia. These are the words of the holy one, the true one. He who has the key of David, who opens and no one shall shut, who shuts and no one shall open. I know your record of works and what you are doing. See, I have set before you a door wide open, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power and yet you have kept my word and guarded my message and have not renounced or denied my name. So those who are walking through this door, it is God's desire that you keep his word, that you're guarding his message and that you have not renounced or denied his name. That's how doors are going to be open for you and closed for you because God opens doors that no man can open and God shuts doors that no man can close. Let's look at what are the benefits of seeking the door to life through Jesus. If you still have not signed up for God's salvation benefit package, Act Now, when you sign up and fulfill the John 15 1 to 8 contract clause, your friends get in under that same clause once they agree. God's insurance covers the following areas. Romans 5 verse 8, but God shows and clearly proves his own love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one died for us. Psalms 8 verse 34, who is there to condemn us? Will Christ Jesus, the Messiah who died or rather who raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as he intercedes for us? God is interceding for us. That's another benefit. Let's look at another benefit. Psalms 119 verse 2, blessed, happy, fortunate to be envied are they who keep his testimonies and who seek inquire for and of him and crave him with the whole heart. Psalms 23 verse 1 to 6, the Lord is my shepherd to feed, guide, and shield me. That's a benefit. I shall not lack. That's another benefit. He makes me lie down in fresh, tender, green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life, myself. He leads me in the path of righteousness, uprightness, and right standing with him. Not for my earning it, but for his name's sake. Yes. Though I walk through deep sunless Valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil for you are with me. So God is with us. He's our rod to protect and your staff to guide. They comfort me. Verse 5, you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My brimming cup runs over. Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life and through the length of my days and house of the Lord and his presence shall be my dwelling place. Let's look at 2 Peter 1 to 4. Through these, he has given us his very great precious promises so that through them, you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. Psalms 103 for additional reading at home. Don't forget his benefits when you are reviewing Psalms 103, because that also tells you about God's salvation plan and the benefits that he has waiting for you. When you choose Jesus for this Christmas, you are giving the gift of life and that is the best gift that you can possibly give. Let's look at what good is it to gain the world and lose your soul. Matthew 6, verse 26, for what will it profit a man if he gains the world and forfeits his life, his blessed life in the kingdom of God, or what would a man give as an exchange for his blessed life in the kingdom of God? This is what happens when a person wanders off the narrow path to God. Remember, Jesus is the only way to the father. Do not get distracted by temptations. Keep yourself submitted to Jesus. Constantly review in your heart if you are desiring other things more than God. Addictions forming to certain things, social media, sex, alcohol, drugs, money, power, there are doors agreements that are waiting at the door of your heart for you to agree to them and let them in. Once you agree, they want to become stronger to take over you and master you. This is when you develop a addiction. That thing is trying to become strong. Begin to resist the devil by submitting to God so the devil flees. Fast, die to yourself, die to lustful cravings of this world. Let's look at 1 John 2, verse 17, and the world passes away and disappears. And with it, the forbidden cravings, the passionate desires, the lust of it, but he who does the will of God and carries out his purposes in his life abides, remains forever, 1 Corinthians 10, 13 to 14. But God is faithful to his word and to his compassionate nature, and he can be trusted not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure. But with the temptation, he will always also provide the way out, the means of escape to a landing place that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. Therefore, my dearly beloved, shun, keep clear away from, avoid by flight, if need be, any sort of idolatry of loving or venerating anything more than God. James 1, verse 13 to 14. Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God for God is incapable of being tempted by what is evil and he himself tempts no one, verse 14, but every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire, lust and passions, verse 15. The evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death. And that's not something that we want to happen to anyone. Proverbs 22, 17 to 20, Jesus speaking to the disciples, listen, consent and submit to the words of the wise and apply your mind to my knowledge. God is saying this, so this keeps you on the narrow path to the door of Jesus, which is the way of life. Proverbs 22, verse 18, for it will be pleasant if you keep them in your mind, believing them, your lips will be accustomed to confessing them. This is the word of God. This means speak the word of God as confessions out loud over yourself, your home, your life, everything pertaining to you. Let's look at Proverbs 22, verse 19, so that your trust, belief, reliance, support, and confidence may be in the Lord. I have made known these things to you today, even to you. Galatians 5, 16, but I say walk and live habitually in the Holy Spirit, responsive to and controlled and guided by the Holy Spirit, then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh without God. God's desire is for us to not gratify the flesh. When we don't gratify the flesh, it is keeping us submitted to God and following the Holy Spirit so that we can stay on the narrow path and we can continue to walk with the Lord as he upholds us with his right hand. God, we just thank you today for your message that's touching us, opening up our minds, renewing our minds, causing us to hunger and thirst for your righteousness. Open up ye gates and let the King of glory in. I speak to every gate that anyone open, that's the wrong gate. And I say, open up ye gates and let the King of glory in. Let Jesus into your heart and mind. Let Jesus into your life decisions. Let Jesus into every relationship. Let Jesus decide what location you go to. Let Jesus decide what object or thing that you might buy, because the Lord wants you to guard your heart and mind in Christ. And when you do that, you're not opening up extra doors to let other things in. May only the King of glory come into every door that you come in agreement with. May it only be with Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen.
