Looking for a way to find joy amid the hustle and bustle of the Advent season?
Meet Heart of the Father’s newest servant team member, Lisa Livezey as Jacqueline hosts this second episode in our Advent series. Jacqueline references Gaudete Sunday, from the liturgical calendar, meaning joy and signified by the Advent wreath’s pink candle.
We read I Thessalonians 5:16-24, which begins with “Rejoice always” and ends with “The one who calls you is faithful and He will also accomplish it.”
The work of God can be compared to the life cycles of a garden, encouraging us that even in the dormant season God is active. As we draw near to God, He meets us and initiates growth.
The Lord prepared a way for us to draw near to Him. We can rest, knowing the work was done by Jesus on the cross and we can trust Him with the plan. He is faithful,
even when we don’t understand what He is doing.
Be challenged to approach Christ this season while awaiting the celebration of His coming at Christmas.
