Paul articulates two kinds of ways we get freedom from sin that came from salvation: by His death, Jesus freed us from the penalty of sin; through His Spirit, He releases us from the power of sin!
- Jesus’ death wiped out not only the present existence of condemnation, but it wiped out the possibility of future condemnation.
- Coming to Christ is not a return to religion; it’s a surrender to a person
- The Christian life is not a gradual self-improvement. It is fellowship with the Holy Spirit
