It has been three years since the removal of fuel subsidy, a policy that has significantly reshaped Nigeria’s economy, with petrol prices rising from about ₦198–₦210 per litre to as high as ₦1,300 in some parts of the country today.

Nigerians are increasingly facing higher transport fares, food prices, and rent, with many households struggling as incomes fail to match the rising cost of living.
