The rising cost of cooking gas across Nigeria is no longer just a temporary discomfort for households , it is becoming a structural problem that experts say may persist for a long time.

Despite increased domestic production and new investments in Nigeria’s gas sector, many households are still paying more, waiting longer, and in some cases, switching back to charcoal and other alternatives.
