How many you haven't been at the PERP for two were you here last year or two years? I did not attend last year, but the one before. We were at the very last one at uh Camp Innaba. Yes, yes. Um, so you missed some new thing that uh we started doing at the new place, which is a burlesque show. So Thursday night we do burlesque now. And last year it was fun. It's so good. And last year we did Greek mythology, was the theme. And Julissa it was the feast of Dionysus, and they showed up and they were Dionysus, and it's this whole little play thing and performances, and it was fantastic. So this year it's circus. Cool. Circus themed. So that's exciting. I have no idea what I'm gonna wear yet. That is very exciting. Yes. Oh my gosh. First, let's tell people how to get there. Sure. Yeah, I guess technical real world stuff first, and then it'll be 45 minutes of me being like, minstrel magic, I want to do that. Actually, yeah, let's get I have some logistical things. I do want to just kind of make a note about the tickets because we used to do it where you would just say, I'm going in this cabin area, and then I went through and paired everyone up into different things, and it was a lot of work. So now I want when you go to buy your ticket, think of it like a concert seat or a plane ticket. That's literally the idea. So you're just picking a cabin, you're picking a quote unquote seat in the cabin, and it's you are holding a bed for yourself there. So when you get there, you get to pick a bed in the room. We'll make sure that you can get to your cabinet. If if if two people want the same bed, then they fight it out. Yeah. Can we do that anyway just for fun? Yes. Yes, sure. Absolutely. Anytime. Yeah. I do see on the map that there seems to be some kind of Loch Ness monster in the lake. Will will that be a feature of the side? That's because the grounds had a group there that built a statue of a dragon out of sticks that you can climb into. Ooh! It's so cute. And there's a little gazebo up there. So we have some workshops that happen up at the labyrinth. Basically, anything that's in the labyrinth, Avalon, Embers Hearth, those are gonna be ones where either they need a little bit more quiet, they're gonna be really loud, or they need privacy, and it's a closed container. So and then there's a huge gymnasium. Huge, huge gymnasium there. There was a really great porch where we do workshops. There's a huge dining hall, which again gets your meal tickets because John doesn't run the food there. I somehow missed the gym completely last year. And it's huge. It's you were.

We actually, I've been going through inventory. If you were to see outside of this camera's view, it is chaos back here because inventory is happening. And we have a bunch of chalk. So we're gonna do chalk directions on the streets this year to make things a little easier. We're also going to add some more signage because the labyrinth is kind of hard to find if you don't know where to go, because the entrance to it kind of hides itself in the tree line. So it's it's really cool in that sense, but it can make things a little like, where am I going again? So we're gonna add even more signage because we know that last year was also the first year of the property. We know it takes a minute to kind of get used to grounds whenever even at a NABA, the first year people were like, Where do I go? So and we have people on the golf carts, you know, helping people get around if you get lost. So um But it's fun. Is there anything else on that map that you're like, what is that? So they have historical records of it being like the last stop on the Underground Railroad. And the house itself has an underground tunnel that was dug that leads out to the water. It's really, really fantastic. So there's a ton of history here. And for the team, we got to actually like do a tour with the staff of the house that we stay in, which is the main building. It's called the White House for some reason. And it's fantastic. It's spooky. So if you go to Thursday, we got a paranormal investigation through the witch's lens. We're gonna just sell them pretty much at cost, and then you can add your stamps and make your own DIY merch with the different stamps. And we have different colors, different paint colors. I also have an abundance of fabric samples. I want to get rid of textile waste. I got too much stuff, and I'm like, I reflected on it, and I love how Holy River does their shirts on stuff that's donated. And I was like, why are like I'm not spending money on more things that are just gonna end up in my closet? Love that. I'm gonna spend time and I'm gonna make things that are a little bit more meaningful. So I have a bunch of ones that I stamped that are on pieces of silk that you can sew on patches. So there's a bunch of pre-made sew-on. But then I also have all different kinds of patches that are on waterproof linen canvas patches. So these are the this is a material that you would get to mend a tent. So it's waterproof as hell. You don't have to iron it on or anything like that. You can literally take it and pop it on whatever piece of clothing. So we have different sizes of things. So I have Anahottis ones that are literally just you peel it off, stick it where you want, and it's not coming off, which is great. I have ones like my scrying mirror that I made. Ooh! Yeah. I have the double sun, which is fun. In fun colors. We have cultivate community with a little Anahottis Purpose on the bottom. Then we have a big fuck off Anahottis Purpose, one that you can put like on your back of your jacket. Oh, that one. Then we have my ladies who I love. I love my ladies. Yay! My rabbits with the wishies. I really like I have a ton of little two-inch ones that one's a scaredy cat. And it's really funny. It's like a black cat that's like got its all its hair poked up. I have a little druid man. I've done a couple sigils that are pretty big. One's a timeline sigil. Um there's a whole bunch, there's a whole bunch of stamps that I've made. It's this fantastic story that I don't even want to ruin because if anyone gets a chance of seeing it, and I'm sure it'll probably come back out again next year. He might do another tour of it. So I don't want to ruin it, but everyone, if you know, you know. Anyway, this year he has another act. So he's actually been working with um what's his name? Kevin Smith. Uh like the act like the really wow. Yeah. So he's been doing some stuff with him lately. They just did a show together with a recreation of like JALLS or something in a theater thing. Kevin. Yes. Yeah, it's dope. Anyway, he has this other show that he's created. It's called Room to Swing an Axe. And is this the description? Let me find the other description to read it to you because it is fantastic. So I reached out to them and was like, I saw that you guys are doing this other thing. Can you bring this other thing? And they were like, absolutely not a problem. So the little the little description here. It's a monodrama Southern Gothic song cycle featuring the two people that were into Devil and Daisy Dirt, Alex and Arlen, who played the blues slide guitar. So it's Alex and Arlen used spoken word and nine bluesy biographical ballads to pull you through the mud and blood of Dawson's harsh but magical life on a haunted horse farm in rural Alabama. Beginning with the morning, his stepdad, a rancher named Doc, hit him on the head with a five-pound fireside friend, ending with the old man dead, buried by bucket loader among his horses, whose legs had to be chainsawed off before their bodies could be dug in. I think I've told the story before, but we had somebody who literally came from Canada and accidentally got a camping ticket instead of a cabin ticket and didn't realize that till they showed up. We found a way. We made it happen. Like we do what you know, you're never it's just beautiful how everyone is there to support each other. Like you will not be without. If you forget something, someone else will have it. And uh but it's not in a third world country like on another planet. There are actually stores nearby if you absolutely have to, but also we got you, man. I think one year I just sort of mentioned that I didn't have a blanket. Like I forgot an extra, like I had one to like put down, but not one to be under or something. And I think it might have been Phoenix, I don't remember who it was, just showed up with a tub of like 40 blankets and was like Amberly. You can have all of them. Yeah. Yeah. That's right, that's right. But um it just it does happen like that though, like magically there. And we have gotten all of us have gotten stories from people who like went by themselves and were so scared to, and were like, oh, I don't have anyone to go with, you know, yada yada. But then like how that just turned out to be such a good and then like found friends and like found maybe other solo travelers, and so I it's also if you just don't have, you know, anyone that you think you could go with, but you want to go, don't let that freak you out either. Or be freaked out, but come anyway. Oh yeah, or they're gonna be like, be scared to do it anyway. It's just that it if I get people who are worried, it is normally people who are coming by themselves or it's their first year and they don't really understand it. So if you are coming by yourself, or if you're Coming with one other person, or if you just want to meet more people. One of the first classes on Thursday. I'll be facilitating uh we're fest friends. So kind of inspired by Corey's speed friending a little bit. But it's pretty much a big round table of me just firing random questions, a little bit of humor and comedy in there, some random pairing off. And I did it at one festival. It was fantastic. We ended up as like there was a good 20 of us there. We ended up creating a bunch of inside jokes. And then as the days were going on, I could hear people like screaming the inside joke at each other. We found out one of the guys' nickname was Jeffy Bear, because the one was like, Have you ever had a really ridiculous nickname? But then we all decided that we're all Jeffy Bear.

Uh that sounds exciting and terrifying, but like in a good way. We're like it's scary, but you're like, but you know what? But it'll be like uh one of those things you do and you're glad you did. Like I I I very much would like to be there, but I'm also terrified in my body right now thinking about it. So if you feel that way, do it anyway. We'll be together.
