Welcome, welcome. Welcome to another episode of the podcast creators hub with me your host, Ash Borland. I am sounding like a DJ today and is never intended to be that way. So let's stop that silly voice. Why is that? Anyway, welcome back to another episode. Have you ever a killer day whenever you're listening to this today's tip, podcasting tip for you amazing creators out there is systems, systems and processes, who doesn't love that? I'm talking about systems of operation and allowing your podcast to succeed. So when it comes to podcasting, there's a thing referred to as pod. Fade, okay, and pod fade is where people podcasts slowly start to disappear. And people want to is that people are getting bored or things happen. And this happens called, by the way quite regularly around episode eight to kind of 15 and then also round episode kind of 26 to about 30 A, that kind of that kind of bracket there that's broadly speaking, obviously, it can happen at any time. The reason why I say is usually by the way, for two reasons. There's three reasons but one of the reasons why a pod fade might kick in is that you realise that it's a lot harder than you've you've lost interest. That's the first thing. First one is you've lost interest, which is normally about six to eight episodes, because you're like, I'm bored. Now we want someone else. The other reason was when we're in that kind of 2526 to like 30 Odd episodes is that you realise that podcasting wasn't the money making machine overnight that you thought it was going to be that someone had lied to you and told it was. And I'm here to tell you right now, that is not true. That does not exist. But podcasting is amazing. If you have a long time at it. That is the two reasons but the number one reason. And really why all of those things by those two, it really is impacting on both of them is that you do not have a system in place, you need to make sure that you have a system in place for every single thing in your podcast, everything from guest outreach templated guest outreaching ways of identifying guests, ways of booking appointments and things like Calendly, using Calendly to make sure you've automated the process to book them into your diary for them to fill out their biography, fill out the links that they want in show notes, fill out all the SAT you can even get them to suggest topics you want them to cover, they want to cover like all of that, then using a system for recording I'm a big fan of stream yard, are you streaming off minds of your shows is an edited closed unit system where we do it all there visuals editing, while we live the whole thing the system needs to be in place. Podcasting is very easy when there's a system in place. And easily paint by numbers. Now I can tell you my system, I'm not going to tell you my system in this episode, for a number of reasons, firstly, because I have a course on it. So check that out. So and the second thing is your system going to be different. I have a course on my kind of on my systems. In some ways, I do have a course on how to start a podcast in five easy steps. And it's the systems that you're building to make that possible. But then I also think that you have your own systems and your own processes, you just need to document them. If you haven't documented what it is that you need to do in order to make every single step of your podcast work, then it isn't going to work. You can't just wake up and do what you feel like because the episode will be inconsistent down from it needs to be like like I say like if it's a 25 step process, that's fine, but you need to have something in place that goes from the moment this is recorded. I have it genuinely from the moment I'm reaching out to the guest because I found someone that's relevant. I have every single thing down to the show notes down to the release time down to the post like promotion, every single thing has a step and guess what you just go someone goes in it's like a sausage machine you put them in that's very weird saying that as a vegan but but like you know, you someone something goes in and boom straight away through outcomes the other end a very finished very polished marketing beast of a product. But without that without the systems and processes. Nothing would be consistent everything would be irregular and this takes time. So I want you to listen to this episode as an actionable step sit down and document what you need to do in order to make your podcasts successful and everyone will be different if you're an audio only show like this show is an audio only show this solo show it's audio only. Why is the audio only because most of the stuff I do in a different way on my YouTube channel there's more depth more showing as a part as opposed to telling so the two don't work the same way but this has a different process compared to my mortgage marketing show
