This Episode of The Music Mind Podcast features UK based Grammy Awards Nominee pianist, composer, arranger and conductor Robin A. Smith.

Among so many outstanding achievements Robin composed the music for the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games, an event that was viewed by an estimated world wide audience in excess of 900 million people.

He has composed and/or arranged for a diverse range of world class artists including within the classical field perhaps the three greatest male voices of the last half century in Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras and Andrea Bocelli.

Robin has worked with artists as varied as Tommy Emmanuel, Lionel Ritchie, Rod Stewart, Margaret Urlich and Mike Oldfield while further conducting iconic orchestras including the London Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras.

Having performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and recorded at Abbey Road in London, his career is filled with outstanding achievements.

In this fascinating conversation we get to learn of Robin's humble beginnings in music as a 6 year old, fascinated with the sounds of the piano and of the diverse range of music being heard and played within his family home.
