Devotionals from Dad
I am a simple man that wants to be able to share short 5 to 6 minute Christian devotions based upon my own personal life experiences. The devotionals have been created for my children and grandchildren, however I am hopeful that many others will find them inspirational.

Omnipresent
Love to hear from and know who is listening
You've probably been there. Maybe it's a prayer group, and you are a very small group to begin with. It's time to start and several members of your group are still missing, so you go ahead and start the meeting, perhaps saying that Christ has promised if even where only two or three are gathered together, He will be with you.
Matthew 18:20 ESV For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
My difficult question to you is this. Does this verse mean that if I am alone in my home or office in my personal prayer time that God is not there, because there are not 2 or 3 of faithful gathered together? I am sure that we have all had moments in our lives when we felt like God was nowhere to be found? I know I have. When I was burying my second infant son in a little over 1 year after I had buried my first infant son, I was in such a fog of depression! I felt like God was so distant, so far away and I was all alone. However the truth is no matter where we are or what we’re going through, God is always with us.
Jeremiah 23:23-24 ESV Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
The truth is there is no place where God is not. Wherever you go, wherever you are, God is there. We can take comfort in knowing that God is always nearby. In our most isolated moments, God is there, fully present, fully aware, and fully engaged. When life feels overwhelming, or when we’re tempted to believe that you are alone in your struggles, you can rest assured that God is right there with you, never distant, never unaware. We can talk to him anywhere, knowing he hears us. So what can we do when we feel alone? Make it a point to remind yourself of God’s presence throughout your day. Whether you’re at work, school, or home, take a few moments to pause and acknowledge that God is right there with you. When you feel alone or overwhelmed, whisper a prayer, inviting him into your situation and trusting that he is already there, fully aware and fully present. We need to embrace the truth of God’s omnipresence and allow it to deepen our faith in Him. We can find peace in the reality that we are never alone.
Psalm 139:7-10 ESV Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
You can take comfort in knowing that God is always nearby. You can talk to him anywhere, knowing he hears you. Let’s embrace the truth of God’s omnipresence and allow it to deepen our relationship with him, finding peace in the reality that we are never alone. Here is a prayer you can use when you feel alone. Heavenly Father, thank you for always being with me, no matter where I go or what I face. Help me to be more aware of your presence in my daily life. When I feel alone or burdened, remind me that you are near, ready to listen and guide me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
