Hello, everyone. Welcome to another episode of Tiphany's Titillating Talks on these days. I come to you and share some of my musings. Some of the things that I have been thinking about this week and some things I want to share with you.

[00:00:55] I would like to start by thanking some people before we get into today's topic of, are you open for opportunities when they arrive? [00:02:52] Your time is valuable and you taking the time to write these very sweet things. Warms my heart and I greatly appreciate it. Okay. Onto today's juicy topic. Are you open for opportunities when they arrive? Oh my goodness. This is so great. This topic is inspired by a couple of things. The first thing is Elizabeth Gilbert in her book.

[00:03:25] Magic lessons or is it big magic? Her podcast is magic lessons and her book is big magic or her book is magic lessons and her podcast is big magic. I get them so confused. They're both fantastic. Anyway, she talks about ideas as being fairies that come and visit us almost like they're beings. They're persons that come and visit us.

[00:03:48] And they're either going to find a. Fertile ground, right? Somebody who welcomes the ideas in and says, Hey, come in, let's chat, let's explore this idea. Or they're going to find a place where the idea where the person says, oh no, no, no. I don't know how to make that happen. The logistics, the, this, the, that, or, and it's the same with opportunity.

[00:04:13] I do believe that opportunity is very, very similar opportunity. All around us. They are here. They are constantly knocking on the door, asking for us to just open the door. And sometimes the opportunity looks exactly like we wanted it to look. And most of the time it looks very different. Sometimes it's what we wanted even better, or it's what we wanted.

[00:04:43] But slightly. But if we never opened the door, if opportunity knocks and we just can't hear it and we never opened the door, then eventually opportunity's going to stop coming and stop knocking. So what are some opportunities? What might these look like? I'm going to share a few things that happened to me just in these past few weeks.

[00:05:15] It will blow your mind. Getting booked as a guest on a podcast. I have been booked on just in these last two weeks, probably six to eight different podcasts in just these last two weeks. I'm having a hard time keeping them all organized. Speaking at a conference. I, as you guys know, we'll be speaking at pod Fest expo.

[00:05:39] And now with that expo, I get to have lots of other opportunities. I'm going to be working in the experiential hall. Hands-on with the hands-on experience of helping people, helping podcasters. I get to be on the women in podcasting panel there. It's just so exciting. Um, contributing to a book. I actually got invited to contribute a chapter in a book about healing after divorce, which they reached out to me.

[00:06:09] And I am so excited about that. I better get writing. Collaborating on a workshop. I am currently collaborating on a workshop with my lovely friend, Jodi Riddick. And I'm going to tell you a little bit more about this workshop at the end of my Tiphany talks today, but collaborating with someone is so darn fun.

[00:06:31] Speaking opportunities- Just last week, I spoke at a summit that I got invited to speak at for women in business. And I was, the summit was all about helping women launch their courses. Auditioning for a TV show. All my goodness. I'm going to tell you the story in just a minute. It's a really good story. It's a really good story.

[00:06:55] I'm gonna tell you in just a second, I'm getting a sponsor for your podcast. Yes. We got a sponsor for our mastering, the podcast or mindset podcast. Yes we did. And we've got a couple others lined up a financial sponsor. It's amazing. So, There's even more opportunities. I'm going to be featured in the women who podcast magazine, which is coming out in two weeks.

[00:07:21] I, there will be a whole section all about me. I got interviewed. It was really exciting. So these are all opportunities that have opened up for me in just the last few weeks. And they can open up for you to let me give you a really practical example of how one of these opportunities opened up for me.

[00:07:40] The auditioning for a TV show. This to me is one of those mind blowing stories that you know, it's manifestation. I know it's a little woo, woo. But it is true. When you put your desires out into the universe, the universe has a way of making your desires come true. So I was on the couch talking to David.

[00:08:03] aka the sexy sound guy, aka my partner. And I was telling him how I have always wanted to be involved in a TV production of some sort or a movie production. I mean, I would just love to be an extra, I love behind the scenes stuff. And I told him, I said, I just want to be there on set. I want to see the camera work.

[00:08:29] I want to see the sound booms. I want to see how they organize everyone. And all the different takes. I just love the behind the scenes stuff. And I told them I want to be involved. I just want to be an extra, it doesn't have to be a big deal. I just want to see how it all works. And so we had a conversation about that was really fun conversation the next day.

[00:08:51] I'm not kidding you, you guys, the next day, I get a text message from somebody that says. Would you be interested in auditioning for a family reality show games? Yes. I got a text asking that. So my son's best friend's father sent me that text. He had auditioned for a show. They needed a group of four and they invited him back again and said, bring somebody else.

[00:09:26] And so he sent me text messages and said, Hey, would you and your little guy like to be on our team for this family game show. Uh, yes. How fun is that you guys? So not only did the universe here that I wanted to be an extra, the universe said, okay, we got you. How about we have you actually participate in a really fun show and it is a totally fun family game show.

[00:09:58] It'll be a blast. I'll be able to be totally insanely silly and create. Best most fun memory with my little guy and thrilled. I'm so thrilled and it is just the coolest experience and these kinds of things happen over and over and over again for me. It's insane. And it happens because I really put myself in the path of opportunity.

[00:10:27] I put myself in proximity. I put myself out there, I let my wishes be known. I talk about it. I speak it out loud. I don't hold it close to my chest. I want to be a public speaker. So what do I do? I join all kinds of forums for public speaking. I apply for different public speaking opportunities. I probably have applied for 30 different public speaking opportunities and I get three or four of them.

[00:10:55] It's really cool. Eventually that three or four is going to turn into 10 and that 10 is going to turn into 12 and speaking gigs that are currently, unpaid are just for networking and growing my audience will eventually be paid. I think it's fantastic. I think it's wonderful. I'm here for it.

[00:11:19] I am here for the growth and putting myself out. If this sounds good to you, if this sounds exciting to you, if you're like, oh my goodness, how do I put myself in the path to opportunity? How do I create proximity to opportunities that I can see it when it's coming? How do I hear opportunity? When it knocks on the door, how do I invite opportunity over to come knock on the door?
