The mystery of the church bringing into it's fold the non-Jews or "Gentiles" was likely something nobody saw coming. But Jesus brings in those believers from outside the nation of Israel along with those faithful Jews of that day into what is called the "Church." To many today, this is not that important but it was a very important shift that allows us to inherit eternal life.
