To develop or not to develop? That is the question at the heart of this week’s show. Savvy UK property investors have long known that the best way to make money from property is to take an asset, add value and then sell or refinance.

This has led many investors down the increasingly well-trodden BRR route. They buy a wreck, enhance the value either with a small refurb to increase its cosmetic appeal or with a larger refurb that involves reconfiguring and or extending a property, and then refinancing to extract as much of the capital as possible. Or maybe they just sell it on for profit.

But some investors add value in a different and arguably smarter way by unlocking the value in less time with less risk and with less competition. And mostly from the comfort of their own home.

So before diving head first into a trendy commercial to residential conversion, listen to this week’s show and ask yourself if there might be a better way to make money from property.
