If you trust someone just because they’re in the public domain and they seem nice, you’re putting yourself at risk.
On the other hand, if your default position is to trust no one, you won’t get anywhere.
So what’s the answer… Well there’s no magic formula, so I would suggest that you start small.
Don’t go all in. Test them out. See if they do what they said they’ll do.
See how they communicate. See if you like them. And take it from there.
Hopefully this episode will get you thinking about your attitude to trust which is probably the most important factor to consider when investing in UK property as an expat / remote investor.
