Meeting Lucas Rosales
Speaker 1Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of the other six days podcast, where we chat about life outside of Sundays and what it means to live from our gatherings, and not just for them. I'm your host, cj McFadden, and on this episode, we're joined today by our special guest, lucas Rosales. Lucas is an athlete who's defied limitations and done what most can only dream of. He's not only gifted in sports, but he achieved incredible accomplishments both on and off the field, and he now dedicates much of his time to teaching, coaching, training and equipping others, especially youth. Today, we get the privilege to be both inspired and challenged by his powerful story. Lucas, welcome to the podcast.
Speaker 1Yeah thank you for having me.
Speaker 2Yeah, looking forward to it.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's gonna be fun Gonna be a good time. So, lucas, we both just fairly met. We met fairly recently through mutual friends and interests and I was blown away to learn about many of your sports related accomplishments, as well as personally witness out on the course myself your ability to play golf. But let's first get started by maybe sharing a little backstory your upbringing, introduction, who you are, how you got to where you're at today.
Speaker 2Yeah, for sure. I was born and raised out here in the Coachella Valley. I grew up on a ranch in Thermal that my dad built when I was very young. And, yeah, I grew up there with dad, mom, my younger brother, omarcos, younger sister, bella, and we were all pretty close in age. So it was a good time growing up. We had some good memories.
Speaker 2Of course, you know you always face some struggles, but for the most part it was a good upbringing and, yeah, very blessed, very blessed for that. A big part of my identity is I was born without most of my left arm. That being said, you know, growing up it was never an excuse for me and I was always taught that I could achieve anything that I put my mind to and to have faith, and that was just my outlook on life growing up. And, you know, started playing soccer at a young age and it became very apparent very quickly that that was going to be my life and it still is today. And, yeah, I mean it taught me a lot. It helped me meet a lot of people and create some great relationships and it got me to where I'm at today. So I'm just I mean it taught me a lot. It helped me meet a lot of people and create some great relationships, and it got me to where I'm at today. So I'm just, you know, very thankful and blessed.
Speaker 1Yeah, absolutely so. Yeah, obviously you're really talented and passionate about sports at an early age and you picked up soccer and you're really good at multiple sports, from what I understand, but soccer was your primary focus. So what drew you to it first, when you first started playing?
Speaker 2primary focus. So what, what drew you to it first when you first started playing? Um, I think, uh, there was one thing where, um, you know, it's no hands involved, so there was had that going for me, but, uh, but, um, yeah, I think it was just, it was in my blood. I mean, my dad was, was a big soccer fan growing up and, uh, his dad wasn't even bigger soccer fan growing up. So you know, it was in my blood. I, for as long as I can remember, there was a, there was a ball at my feet and, um, you know, I looked at at all the pro players as like superheroes when I was a kid and um, you know, I just loved it, so that's awesome.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was in the blood, I love that. Yeah, and then, right, and you competed also, you did track and field some other stuff there too as well, yeah, yeah, I did soccer.
Speaker 2I did track for a little while. Yeah, funny story. I mean I was in my sophomore year and I was just doing. I wanted to do track just so I could stay fit for soccer season. Oh yeah, yeah, and I didn't want to compete or nothing like that. So you know. But lo and behold, one time in PE we're running the mile. And then you know, coach Ansley, he's like well, Rosales, you're running the two mile this Friday. And I'm like no, I'm good, like I'm not here to compete, I'm just trying to get ready for it?
Speaker 2Yeah, trying to stay fit for soccer. Trying to get ready for, yes, trying to stay fit for soccer, and he's like well either do that or you're off. You're off the team. So, um, I ended up competing and then I ended up getting a varsity spot after that, of course you did so. Uh, yeah, that was but my track. My track career only lasted two years, but so, yeah, soccer was the main thing, my thing growing up yeah, yeah, so you played.
Speaker 1you played varsity soccer.
Speaker 2then right, obviously, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I played JV my freshman year and then I played three years varsity Nice.
Speaker 1Yeah, and then you've collected a couple accolades and awards that you can be pretty proud of along the way, so you helped. Take looking to high school right, the soccer team. You guys secured the CIF champions in 2015, right.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, and then you did, uh, you were desert sun soccer athlete of the year and then you even got some college offers out of all this stuff. Right, like uh, is that?
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, yeah, um yeah, Uh, we won CIF in 2015, my sophomore season. Uh, we had a great team. Um, you know some some great memories and you know, was able to to be a part of that and contribute. So that was awesome. It was their first one and only in school history, so, you know, it was just, it was a blessing for sure. And then, yeah, coming out of high school, I was getting a few looks not a lot, I think I could just think of University of Redlands and Cal State, Fullerton, and I was talking to some other teams, but those were the two main ones.
Speaker 1The main ones, yeah.
Speaker 2And you know University of Redlands they had a great team but they were Division III so it was kind of a no-brainer at that point to kind of take my talent to Cal State, fullerton and yeah.
Speaker 1So did you do College of the Desert first?
Speaker 2No, so out of high school went to I went to cal state fullerton. I didn't have, uh, the best year at cal state fullerton, um, personally, was was going through some stuff and uh, ended up playing coming back to play two years at college of the desert um and then from there I got a scholarship to play at cal state la cal state, yeah, and that's where I, you know, graduated and finished my career yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1and you had all academic honors right, you were on a roll stuff. Things went pretty good, even academically. And then you helped take the soccer team right, even at College of the Desert, to their first conference title in 99, right, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2That was really special because, I mean, you know, I was playing with the players that I grew up with and we were doing it for the Coachella Valley and you know they hadn't had a good program and in some time and and uh, you know we just you know it was, it was a great team to be a part of and, uh, to be able to accomplish that was was still one of one of my, one of my best sport highlights of my career, for sure.
Speaker 1That's cool, yeah. And then Cal State LA, the team you helped, uh, you guys took the NCAA division two championship right For the first time in their history.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, that was uh, that was amazing. That was amazing as well, I mean out of out of college of the desert. You know my goal, my number one goal, was to make, uh, to go division one one right.
Speaker 2Like a lot of these kids that are in juco and you know I kind of looked at it as like d1 or bust almost yeah and um, you know, for some reason that just wasn't in god's plan for me and I had three offers from from three schools, uh, san bernardino, cal poly pomona and cal state la. And um, you know, they all offered me a scholarship and what drove me to cal state la was, you know, the coach. Was the coach told me like, if you want to win, you know, come here and uh, you know, that's all I needed to hear you know what I?
Speaker 2mean. So, um, I went in there with, with, with one goal, which was to win a national championship, and we did that. We did that and it was an amazing experience and it was a lot of ups and downs, um, a lot of hard work, for sure, um, and you know, in in terms of sports, it was, it was my biggest accomplishment, um, and you know it was a.
Speaker 1It was an amazing feeling, um, for a month there, I just celebrated and didn't touch a ball for like a month Um you just reveled in the victory.
Soccer Career and Athletic Achievements
Speaker 2Yeah and uh and it was amazing, but, um, you know, just reflecting on it, you know, I feel like my greatest achievement has been my relationship with, with Christ and um. You know, things like championships and trophies they're all nice, but it's like um that that never stops Right and we can never, we can't, be fulfilled with that. Um, and I think the most important thing for me is growing my relationship with, uh, with Jesus and and um, just to continue with that.
Speaker 1I love that. I love that. That's your crown achievement even over, uh even over a national title.
Speaker 2Very cool.
Speaker 1And then, on top of all that, not just soccer, you also competed in the SG Golf Adaptive Championship, right, yes?
Speaker 2Yes, I love golf. I love golf and it has become a big part of my life. My journey in competition golf started, probably about a year ago actually, and that was through the NOAGA, which is the North American One Arm Golf Association. Yeah Right, so they do a big tournament every year and the venue switches, the course switches every year.
Speaker 2And they came to La Quinta and I've been like you know, I was talking about it with my buddies and stuff, like I want to do a competition, and then this opportunity came up and I just I couldn't pass it up. And then this opportunity came up and I just I couldn't pass it up and uh it, it was, uh, it was a great experience. Um, you know, just playing with uh other people like me, and that we weren't just playing like, we were competing, which was like what I wanted, and uh, and it was awesome. So they do it pretty cool. You play uh two rounds and then from there you go to a match, play series for the next two days, and my only goal was to make the cut for that tournament and I ended up making it to the finals. So I got second place in that tournament.
Speaker 1And then it was like when's the next one?
Speaker 2So the SCGA. They had an adaptive championship and that was at Goose Creek Golf Club in Jerupa Valley.
Speaker 1Oh yeah.
Speaker 2So what's cool about that one is it's not only for for one-armed players, it's, uh, for players with all different types of disabilities, right, so they have different um sports classes and stuff and um and uh yeah, you're competing, competing with everybody, and it was cool, but I didn't play my best. I didn't play my best, so that was a play my best. So that was a little tough, but, um, you know that's golf, you know what I mean. So just looking forward to the next one.
Speaker 1Yeah, I know you are man. Yeah, and we, when we played together, dude, I had such a great time and I was just so I couldn't. I was like, man, you're, you're a great player and need to do that again. We're going to. Yeah, so now you're a coach? Uh, you're a soccer coach over at desert christian academy, a local christian school. So what does that entail for you?
Speaker 2um, yeah, I mean coaching. Uh, the varsity team at dca has been, has been a big blessing and, um, I'm very thankful for that opportunity. Um, there's been, uh, there's been challenges, of course, but, uh, but I love it. You know what I mean. And, and we're not only trying to compete and strive for, for excellence on the field, we're also trying to build a relationship with Christ Right and we compete for his glory and that's that's what we're all about. And and uh, and yeah, uh, the kids have been great, they're coachable. Um, we're all about and, yeah, the kids have been great, they're coachable. We're not where we want to be, but we're going to keep working hard and in the past two seasons, we've had two guys go on to play at four-year universities, so that's special.
Speaker 1So, that's awesome. That's a big deal, man. That's great. So progress is being made over there, progress is being made.
Speaker 2It's a newer program, right? Yes, yes, yeah.
Speaker 1That's a big thing, so very cool. Well, as we mentioned before, you know, and as you mentioned a couple of times, it's pretty amazing in and by itself all the accolades and awards you've had, except for that key detail that you just you happen to be born with a rare condition called amniotic banging a band constriction. Did I get that right?
Speaker 2Yeah. I mean it's funny, you say that because like people say that, but it's like I just look at it as I just have one arm.
Speaker 1I think it sounds so fancy. I was like I've never heard of that before, but it left you without a large portion of your left arm.
Speaker 2Yeah, so I have my arm like up to before my elbow, so I don't have an elbow down.
Speaker 1Yeah, elbow down. So so all those that just makes all those like those are those awards are just in and by themselves, but with that is just a whole nother level. And so how did this impact you? You know and form you from early age, growing up like playing in sports and doing those types of things Like tell us a little bit about that.
Speaker 2So, uh, it definitely had his its challenges for sure.
Speaker 2Um, I mean, uh, the good thing about growing up with with one arm I mean, being born with one arm is like that's all I was used to right so, um, I learned to adapt pretty quickly, um, and, yeah, I mean there was, uh, there was challenges, but, um, you know, god blessed me with, uh, the sport of soccer and, um, you know, through that I was able to make a lot of relationships and stuff.
Speaker 2And of course I faced struggles, you know I mean when I was young. You know players, you know saying stuff. You know ignorantly or as I grew older, just like older players just trying to get in my head, you know what I mean In that aspect. And then you know what I mean in that aspect, um, and then you know also coaches, I mean as I, as I uh, as I continue to to grow in soccer. And you know my dad saw my potential and I continue to travel, uh, around, uh, la and all over socal, um, for club soccer. And you know if I always felt like I had to work twice as hard because I always had that in the back of other people's minds, that you know I only have one arm, so but yeah, I mean, like I said before, it was never an excuse and yeah, I just worked hard.
Overcoming Physical Limitations
Speaker 1Yeah, you didn't let it hold you back. No, definitely not, and others may have seen it as a potential disadvantage both you know on the soccer field, but in you know you didn't obviously want people to think or treat you different. You said you worked twice as hard but you had the mental fortitude and the grit and then you had a good support structure, right People behind you.
Speaker 2Yeah, definitely, um, uh, I mean, like I said earlier, um, you know, my parents raised me uh, to that I can accomplish anything that I put my mind to and that you know God has a plan for me. And um, I, when I was on the field, I never looked at myself as somebody that had one arm. I was just competing. You know what I mean. So, um, when I was training, when I was playing, my only goal, the only thing in my mind was was to be the best and to do my best.
Speaker 1So, um, that was that, was that was it, and uh, and you did well, and then you'd have other people will come up to you, obviously, sometimes and say, dude, you're so special, that's amazing. You're an inspiration to others, like, how did that make you feel?
Speaker 2Yeah, that made me that made me feel good. It made me feel good, of course. I mean I feel, uh, growing up, um, you know it was, it was good, but at the same time, like I didn't really care, cause I was just like I looked at myself more like a soccer player, yeah, but, um, but, now, uh, looking back on it, it's uh, I feel like God's purpose for me is to inspire and motivate, and and that's and that's what I want to do. And when, when that happens, it just feels amazing.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah. Do you feel like it helps your coaching over with like DCA and younger kids and stuff? Now, like, is there, is there like a? Is there like something that you feel like you have an advantage in the inspiration area?
Speaker 2Um, you know, uh, possibly, uh, I just go back to my experiences as a player and as a kid and I use that to connect with my athletes and, um, and just you know, the things that pushed can fall back on the stuff that they taught me and share with my players as well.
Speaker 1So, yeah, those are the main things. You've got some pedigree there for sure, yeah, so I was going to, and as far as golf, I need to know that one, because soccer obviously no hands. So that was natural, but like golf you're like, let me pick the thing that is like the most like handsy, like what? Inspired what it was, the initial inspiration behind that you're like, I think I could do that um I keep the golf questions coming.
Speaker 2I love talking about no, but uh, when I was a kid, um, you know what I remember? Like I remember two. I remember my dad playing golf and then I remember my dad watching Tiger Woods play golf.
Speaker 2You know what I mean, and the happiness that it gave them to be watching Tiger Woods and stuff like that, and I became a Tiger Woods fan instantly. And then I was like, okay, now I need a play. So I begged my dad to buy me uh, buy me some golf clubs. He ended up giving me some golf clubs for Christmas, I think, and he would take us out to the Muni and, um, we would just, we would just play and, and it was amazing. And then, um, we, like I said, we lived in a ranch, so, uh, me and my brother ended up digging a hole in the in the In the backyard we're just hitting our freaking pitching wedge out there and one time I made a hole in one.
Speaker 2I mean my brother went crazy, but yeah, I don't count it now.
Coaching at Desert Christian Academy
Speaker 1Yeah, sure you do. Do you have any other hole-in-ones?
Speaker 2No, by the way share how many hole-in-ones you have. I have six, that is crazy dude.
Speaker 1Well, hey, I told you One of them. I bounced it off the fascia of a home while people were on their patio, so I almost hit them and then it bounced and then rolled in the hole.
Speaker 2So better lucky than good. It's all lucky, yeah, exactly that's all there is for me.
Speaker 1Well. So, more importantly, how has your faith helped, played a role, or really played the main role, and your ability to adapt and overcome throughout your life, like how has Christ shaped the way that you see yourself as an athlete and a person?
Speaker 2Um, yeah, I mean, faith has been, uh, a hundred percent the most important thing throughout my life and and today, and, um, it it's helped me to to push through and and conquer my goals and dreams.
Speaker 2and, um, you know we talk about, uh, you know, me having one arm and overcoming that but, I feel like there's other stuff that I struggled more with, like, um, depression and anxiety and stuff like that, and and it's like my faith taught me to get through that stuff, and it's like, and it's like I said, faith taught me to get through that stuff. And it's like, and it's like I said when I'm competing, you know, when I was competing, you know it's for, it's for the glory of God, and everything I do is for him, and faith has always been the most important thing.
Speaker 1Yeah, do you have any like like practice or anything that's helped carry you through those tough times? You know, like just kind of like something that you keep on the forefront of your mind about?
Speaker 2uh, with regards to your faith and who God is and what he's done. You know, is there like anything specific? Uh, well, of course, prayer, like prayer is probably the number one thing. Um, uh, and I mean I just this you know God has a plan for for for us and he has a purpose for for everybody. And you know, I always just fall back on that and, uh, when I'm going through struggles and stuff like that. Uh, you know, I've learned that, you know, you know God doesn't want me to fail, right, he wants me to succeed and he has a plan and I might be going through this, um, but he has something else in store for me.
Speaker 2You know, what I mean. So that that's been my, my outlook.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, and he's and he'll, he'll never give us anything he doesn't equip us to handle. And so you've shown up, you you've shown that really well in your life that you leverage like what he's given you and how he's gifted you, and now you're giving back to others in light of that, you know, coaching and teaching and equipping and sharing that and kind of passing it on Right, yeah, yeah definitely.
Speaker 2I think that's. That's all of our purpose, right. It's to help each other. So I'm just very blessed to be in the position that I am, that I'm, that I'm in, and you know I, just I try my best every day, you know I. I know I'm not, you're not perfect, 'm not, I'm not the best coach or the best teacher, um, but I'm learning and I try my best.
Speaker 1so well, I love your heart, I love what you're doing for the kids and like why you do it and, uh man, really just enjoyed our times together and really and seriously an inspiration to me just through your attitude and just the way that you carry yourself.
Speaker 2Um, just a joy to be around and so it's just such a cool thing and you love golf, so that is like icing on the cake yeah, um.
Faith Through Life's Challenges
Speaker 1So, looking back, what would you say is some of the probably the most significant milestone moments in your life? Uh, like a people or the people or a story that maybe helped shape your life and mindset. Who's that?
Speaker 2inspiration? Yeah, there is, there are so many. But I think a pivotal time in my life was when I was, you know, out of high school. I got the opportunity to play Division One soccer at Cal State, fullerton. However, or you know, things were going good and stuff like that. Went through preseason and everything was good, went through preseason and everything was good. You know I was doing well. Coaches were surprised that. You know how I came in, but you know, I ended up redshirting that year and that was tough to kind of wrap my head around. You know what I mean. And for those athletes out there that are redshirting, you know, I'm sure that they can relate. But you know, I've trained with them but I wouldn't be in the games and stuff like that. And but you know, I'd train with them but I wouldn't be in the games and stuff like that. And you know, I almost felt like I didn't deserve the success that they had, because I wasn't really contributing, because I wasn't playing right.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2So that was tough. And then coming from my high school season where, yeah, I was the guy right, you know, scored a lot of goals, got MVP athlete of the year, all of that stuff. High bar huh. Yeah, got MVP athlete of the year, all of that stuff. High bar, huh yeah, and then intriguing to go to Cal State Fullerton, and then to not be that it was tough.
Speaker 1It was tough.
Speaker 2So I wasn't doing the best mentally and I turned to other stuff to kind of fill that void. I kind of lost my way with with uh, with Christ and um, and it was difficult. And then when all that was happening is when my, my parents, uh, ended up splitting up and that was very tough as well Um, and you know, I lost sight of my grades and stuff like that and I ended up getting a like 1.2 gpa oh, and I did it.
Speaker 2No, yeah, so I got academically disqualified from the school yeah, and then um, but yeah, and and after that I was like I was done with soccer, you know I mean I was in a dark place and I was very depressed and you know I stopped playing. And then you know, uh, you know, just hanging out with friends. You know that play at cod and they're like know, uh, you know just hanging out with friends.
Speaker 2You know that play at COD and they're like you're not playing anymore, like you should come play with us, and I'm like, well, I'll think about it.
Speaker 2And then coach Pato, you know, coach Pato he uh he, uh, he called me up out of the blue and he's like hey, I heard you're down, like we would love to have you guys, we would love to have you out, um, and I'm like for sure, as I ended up going there and that I found my passion for the game again and, uh, you know, it was amazing, like you said, we went on to to win our first conference championship since 1999. Um, and then, but I think the the most amazing thing that came out of that dark time was, uh, the next season when, uh, we took a, we took a trip to Big Bear with the team.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2And um, it was, uh, it was like a, like a camp through, like FCA kind of thing.
Speaker 2Um, you know, and and at the end there was like a, there was like an altar call. You know what I mean and and you know, I gave my life to Jesus and I find, found my relationship again with Jesus that day. And you know, I gave my life to Jesus and I found my relationship again with Jesus that day and that was very special. And since then, you know, I know that I'm more than just an athlete. You know what I mean. I'm a follower of Christ and all the glory that, everything that I win, is all for him and, yeah, I'm super blessed for that.
Speaker 1That's powerful dude.
Speaker 2Yeah, oh, I love that, yeah, and yeah, I'm super blessed for that.
Speaker 1That's powerful dude. Yeah, oh, I love that. Yeah, I don't know that. I realized I think I had heard before maybe, but I missed it that you were one of the athletes up at camp that ended up receiving Christ with Pato. That's so cool, so I've heard those stories and I didn't know you were included in that.
Speaker 2So that's very cool man. Yeah, it was very cool.
Speaker 1Oh, what would you say you think are some of your greatest strengths and assets that you might bring to the table now, like after hearing all that and going through all that?
Speaker 2What do you think Like? Where are you at right now? Yeah, like I said, I think it's just going back to my experiences as a kid and as a player and being able to share that with others and just the relationships that I have made over the years and you know um sharing, sharing that knowledge that that I've got from those as well.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, you have the talent, the skill, the story, and then now also, too, you have your faith in Christ. All partnered together as an inspirational. I mean, that's a, that's a whole package thing, that's pretty cool.
Speaker 2That's pretty pretty amazing.
Speaker 1Yeah, so well. We always hope that our conversations here are engaging and helpful, but we always want to connect people with resources that we think they might find beneficial. So what are some things out there that maybe even some stuff from your past that you found beneficial, that helped you out a long way, or, like you know, organizations, things like that?
Speaker 2Yeah, for sure, fca. I coach with FCA right now and they're just growing with FCA football, fca basketball, and I'm sure they're in every school out here in the Coachella Valley as well, and they're just, you know, helping these athletes not only on the field but also with their spiritual side, and I think that's amazing. So, fca, of course, I also want to shout out to the US AGA, which is the US Adaptive Golf.
Speaker 1Alliance.
Speaker 2And without that I probably wouldn't have found that tournament that first got me into competitive golf. So they're just giving opportunities for people like me and people with disabilities to to compete in the beautiful game and grow the game and, you know, have some fun as well and compete. Um, like I said earlier, the Nahuaga, the one arm golf association is, is another big one. Um, and they do a. They do a great job over there, as well as as being inclusive and growing the game and being competitive. Um, I do want to shout out this podcast, cause I do listen to this podcast.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's what we're talking about the other six days.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's a good listen. And there's another podcast, bible Caddy. I don't know if you've heard of that one no. I've not heard of it. Yeah, so it's pretty cool. They got like Webb Simpson, a previous PGA Tour player, and some other guys on there and they talk about golf and they get into the word as well. And, um, my friend, uh, my friend Tony, he, he actually got me into it and it's, it's been great. So, yeah, I think those are the main ones that that I use today.
Keep Faith and Keep Going
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, that's very cool. Yeah, uh uh, organizations like FCA and Young Life and, uh, you know they help their faith-based organizations. If you haven't heard of them before, fca's Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life as well is another one, but they specialize in reaching students through the sports and campus ministries and clubs and camps and all kinds of stuff and obviously that's had a huge impact in your life. So definitely good stuff and always pointing people to Jesus through sports or organizations. Any other books, podcasts, podcast movies, anything you want to recommend? Nothing out there, all right, cool. Um well, uh, lucas, any final thoughts or comments? Maybe some encouragement for our listeners? Any last thing you want to tell people out there?
Speaker 2um, uh, for sure, I think, uh, something that has motivated me.
Speaker 2Um, I got from, uh, my coach at casa de ley my first year, um, coach chamadis and um, we either lost the game or we were getting ready for the ncaa tournament or something like that, and, um, you know, we have a team meeting the day after, kind of just uh regroup and talk about the game, and and he said, you know, uh, he said I'm not, I'm not cool like all you guys that are all tatted up, but if I was, I would put two words on me and it was keep going. And it's something that I've heard before, but in that moment I just, you know, it really resonated with me because my whole life, that's all I did. And it's two simple words, but it's like we're going to face struggles, right, we're going to face hardships, but like we're're not going to give up. The only our only option is is to keep going. So, um, I have uh four words, which is keep faith and keep going. So that's that's, that's what I live by, so, and that's what helps me day to day.
Speaker 1I love that you took that from the past and added that piece to it. So yeah, perceived limitations can actually provide limitless opportunities, and so, specifically, opportunities to point people to the power, purpose and hope found in Jesus Christ right.
Speaker 2And so that's what we hope to do in everything that we do.
Speaker 1So, yeah, that's awesome. Well, thank you for being an inspiration, for your attitude, strength and your willingness to pursue Christ and other-centric life too, which I find super inspirational, and hopefully those things point towards the power and peace and all those things that you can find through Jesus. So, uh, there you have it, guys. Thanks again for joining us on another episode of the other six days podcast.
