The Memory Tapes
This podcast began with a single conversation.
Before my grandfather passed away, I sat down with him and asked him about his life, where he was from, the people he loved, the moments that shaped him. At the time, I didn’t realize how meaningful that conversation would become.
After he was gone, I found myself wishing I had done the same with so many others in my life. I wished I had asked more questions. I wished I had listened longer. I wished I had captured their voices before time quietly moved on.
The Memory Tapes exists because of that wish.
Each episode is a guided conversation designed to preserve the stories, laughter, lessons, and moments that make up a life. Not the polished version, but the real one. The memories we carry, the people who shaped us, the stories that still make us smile.
This is a place to slow down, to listen, and to hold on to what matters. While we still can.

This is the most important interview of my life to date. This podcast came out of an idea to sit down with the people in my life I care about and those I've crossed paths with that I believe deserve for their story to be told. This episode is with my grandfather David McLeod who unfortunately passed away recently. He lived life to the fullest and with a big heart through gritted teeth. This is our conversation from a few years ago. I hope you enjoy it.
