The Shamans Cave

Finding Safety Within: Shamans Cave

Sandra Ingerman & Renee Baribeau Season 7 Episode 1

With a world filled with trauma it is time to turn our attention into cultivating our Inner World. This is not an action to take to escape life. It is to build up a beautiful inner landscape where we can allow our inner awareness to help cope with stress and trauma. There is so much noise and chatter that people are no longer listening to their hearts and body which hold wisdom of how to navigate challenges with clarity and peace allowing us to be resilient. Our Inner World is a place to find strength and healing.  Have you noticed how many people are getting ill from reaching outside instead of within for resilience and strength? This is a time to listen to the wisdom of your body and from here you will feel safe no matter what is happening around you. For the only true reality is your life in your Inner World. So that is the place of safety for you!

This is a topic that spoke deeply to both Renee and Sandra and it is a wonderful to start season 7 of The Shamans Cave!

0:00:22.460 --> 00:00:35.380
Sandra Ingerman: Hi, everyone. This is Sandra Ingerman. And we're back from a really, we're back from a break. Rene and I took a break from the shaman's cave.

8
00:00:35.470 --> 00:00:45.750
Sandra Ingerman: But we really missed you. And we wanted to come back and continue during these amazing times of growth

9
00:00:46.050 --> 00:00:53.279
Sandra Ingerman: and amazing times of challenges. And so we're really happy to be back with all of you.

10
00:00:54.270 --> 00:00:57.460
Renee Baribeau: And I'm Rene Bearbo, the practical shaman, and

11
00:00:58.000 --> 00:01:15.829
Renee Baribeau: I know it's it's been a. It's been a long time because Sandra and I talked before, and so we haven't talked in months, either, and it's been a very productive time for me, and I know that it's been a very productive time for Sandra, and we're hoping that this break was a really productive time for you as well.

12
00:01:16.070 --> 00:01:19.580
Renee Baribeau: although we have a change that we want to tell you about.

13
00:01:19.640 --> 00:01:41.920
Renee Baribeau: And we've decided that we are going to do this as a podcast which means for those of you who watch on on Youtube, you'll see a streaming, nature, scene, or whatever other images we come up with. But the best place to be listening to this will be on the place where you get your podcasts going forward. And

14
00:01:42.460 --> 00:01:51.160
Renee Baribeau: I think that it'll be a nice change. And I hope that you'll then take us with you in your car and and other places that you go on your walks.

15
00:01:51.190 --> 00:01:57.749
Renee Baribeau: although I walk quietly. But maybe you listen to podcasts. And then we're gonna go on from from there.

16
00:01:58.490 --> 00:02:23.191
Sandra Ingerman: Yeah, I think. What I'm hearing from a lot of people is that it's starting to affect them to be on zoom all the time, and and I asked Renee if she was willing to do this audio, because it's too hard for me to be on zoom all the time it started affecting me, too.

17
00:02:23.660 --> 00:02:32.509
Sandra Ingerman: And so you still have us to listen to, and we're still gonna guide you through.

18
00:02:33.142 --> 00:02:48.210
Sandra Ingerman: How you can take care of yourself during this time, because I think so many people in the spiritual community are doing incredibly deep work.

19
00:02:48.220 --> 00:03:03.679
Sandra Ingerman: But a lot of people in the spiritual community entered the spiritual community, thinking that the community would carry them through the times that we're going through right now.

20
00:03:03.810 --> 00:03:21.780
Sandra Ingerman: And so what Rene and I want to talk about today is the fact that nobody can carry you through the times that we're going through today, but that if you can find safety inside yourself

21
00:03:21.780 --> 00:03:34.769
Sandra Ingerman: in your inner world, creating this incredibly strong inner world, where you feel so safe in your own body.

22
00:03:34.870 --> 00:03:49.070
Sandra Ingerman: Once you feel so safe in your own body. You actually know that your spirit, that your body's carrying your spirit and spirit is a reflection of source

23
00:03:49.270 --> 00:03:51.669
Sandra Ingerman: and source can't be hurt.

24
00:03:52.260 --> 00:04:21.219
Sandra Ingerman: so that we would like to give you some tips in a time where people are really not feeling safe right now, of little things that you can do that can start helping you not look to the outer world for somebody to carry you through, but to remember that you were born with the strength to walk through these times.

25
00:04:23.080 --> 00:04:28.009
Renee Baribeau: Such a such a great topic. I think that we're we're starting with here.

26
00:04:28.030 --> 00:04:29.050
Renee Baribeau: I'm

27
00:04:29.620 --> 00:04:33.109
Renee Baribeau: if if we go back to the beginning of last year

28
00:04:33.170 --> 00:04:46.759
Renee Baribeau: I had this beautiful fire, tender ceremony, and I was at peace, for, like really really at peace with the community, at the ceremony, and all of it, and the very next day my world fell apart, and

29
00:04:47.740 --> 00:04:50.200
Renee Baribeau: and I was shocked.

30
00:04:50.530 --> 00:04:59.070
Renee Baribeau: I was shocked that some kind of exterior incident could put me into that kind of a frozen tailspin.

31
00:04:59.240 --> 00:05:00.170
Renee Baribeau: And

32
00:05:00.480 --> 00:05:01.950
Renee Baribeau: you know, luckily.

33
00:05:02.130 --> 00:05:07.589
Renee Baribeau: and this is what Sandra and I want for you is that luckily I had the tools

34
00:05:07.920 --> 00:05:22.409
Renee Baribeau: I had the tools to look at something, you know, from from the inside out. I had the friends who could support me on that journey, and and I actually took a break from the community

35
00:05:22.710 --> 00:05:31.300
Renee Baribeau: which I felt was not necessarily supporting me or supporting the place that I was in.

36
00:05:31.470 --> 00:05:32.330
Renee Baribeau: and

37
00:05:33.080 --> 00:05:45.709
Renee Baribeau: when I really listened to what happened and what I really listened to going in inside, that it was actually one of the most productive years that I had, even though it started out with

38
00:05:45.880 --> 00:05:47.070
Renee Baribeau: a shock

39
00:05:47.090 --> 00:05:48.510
Renee Baribeau: that put us

40
00:05:48.560 --> 00:05:52.290
Renee Baribeau: a systo shock that sent me into

41
00:05:53.650 --> 00:05:54.800
Renee Baribeau: frozen.

42
00:05:56.450 --> 00:05:57.170
Sandra Ingerman: Yeah.

43
00:05:58.480 --> 00:05:59.390
Sandra Ingerman: Yeah.

44
00:05:59.650 --> 00:06:24.819
Sandra Ingerman: And a lot of people are in frozen right now a lot of people. I am a therapist. And so I do have to keep getting ceus, and what all I'm doing is taking trauma workshops, and I can tell you that most of the spiritual community is in a frozen state right now.

45
00:06:24.820 --> 00:06:39.799
Sandra Ingerman: and and we don't even know it. So it's really important for us to really start to honor. And that's the 1st place where we can start to find safety.

46
00:06:39.880 --> 00:06:48.750
Sandra Ingerman: So like for me, what starts to happen. Just to give an example, maybe some of you might relate to some of this

47
00:06:49.020 --> 00:07:13.280
Sandra Ingerman: occasionally. I just feel like I need a break from all the emails that I'm getting. And so I do something that you shouldn't do. I go to the news just to take a break and see what else is going on besides what's happening in the shamanic world

48
00:07:13.570 --> 00:07:41.130
Sandra Ingerman: and and I'll read an article, and I'll go. Oh, yeah, I think that's what's happening for me. And then I'll read an article. Oh, yeah, that's what's happening for me, and then I'll read something. Oh, that's what's happening for me. And then I listen to somebody's intro call. Oh, and that's what's happening for me. And then I listen to Rene, and I go. Oh, she just tuned in on something that's happening for me.

49
00:07:41.150 --> 00:07:56.010
Sandra Ingerman: and I've been doing this for 9 years now, because I contracted a very mysterious disorder. So it's like, oh, Rene said, oh, that's what happened to me. The news said, Oh, that's what happened to me.

50
00:07:56.010 --> 00:08:12.439
Sandra Ingerman: and so I completely abandoned my intuition, which I've written about in walking through darkness. The 1st chapter is on. Don't listen to other people. Listen to your intuition.

51
00:08:12.440 --> 00:08:19.170
Sandra Ingerman: I wrote that because for 9 years I didn't listen to myself.

52
00:08:19.170 --> 00:08:42.220
Sandra Ingerman: And so what happened is, I got into a frozen state because I listened to everybody else instead of my own body. My own body was trying to talk to me, and I wouldn't listen to it. I was listening to everybody else, and so it threw me into bed, and it said, Okay, you're frozen.

53
00:08:42.700 --> 00:09:01.039
Sandra Ingerman: And so then I started doing all the tools I've written about in medicine for the earth and soul, retrieval and new tools that I'm learning. And all these trauma courses I'm taking. And as I started just tuning into my body.

54
00:09:01.050 --> 00:09:13.409
Sandra Ingerman: my body started talking to me, and it told me everything it wanted, everything I wasn't listening to for 9 years, because I was listening to everybody else.

55
00:09:13.640 --> 00:09:26.960
Sandra Ingerman: and I started getting better. And at the same time the universe started sending me so many breadcrumbs. I can't tell you

56
00:09:26.970 --> 00:09:40.750
Sandra Ingerman: how many breadcrumbs the universe showed me of. Okay, now that you're finally in your body. Listening has your path? It's really clear.

57
00:09:40.750 --> 00:09:57.359
Sandra Ingerman: We put the blue corn meal as blue as we could for you, knowing that's the path you're going to follow. We made the path so clear. Here's your path now. You finally went inside and listened to yourself. And now

58
00:09:57.680 --> 00:10:01.180
Sandra Ingerman: the universe as the universe. We can help you.

59
00:10:01.590 --> 00:10:02.200
Renee Baribeau: Hmm!

60
00:10:02.700 --> 00:10:06.830
Renee Baribeau: I love that. I love that following that blue cornmeal path.

61
00:10:07.490 --> 00:10:17.440
Renee Baribeau: Yeah, I had a similar thing. And the thing is is the information for me never seems to come from the places where I'm looking at it from.

62
00:10:17.670 --> 00:10:25.920
Renee Baribeau: So last year, when all of this was going on in January, I got this email from somebody I hadn't talked to in 10 years.

63
00:10:26.200 --> 00:10:28.970
Renee Baribeau: and he said, Oh, I have a gift for you.

64
00:10:29.380 --> 00:10:33.440
Renee Baribeau: And so he actually mailed me the wind map.

65
00:10:34.050 --> 00:10:41.369
Renee Baribeau: and I and I wrote him back, and I'm there. Well, thank you, that is so generous. And then, when I was getting ready because the camino came up.

66
00:10:41.580 --> 00:10:47.239
Renee Baribeau: he said, I can't walk this year. Would you please walk for me?

67
00:10:47.370 --> 00:10:48.360
Renee Baribeau: And

68
00:10:48.530 --> 00:10:52.199
Renee Baribeau: I I mean this man. He's just popped in twice

69
00:10:52.470 --> 00:11:03.049
Renee Baribeau: in a year like I hadn't really, you know, 10 years we hadn't spoken, and so it started these. It started these conversations with me, and

70
00:11:03.150 --> 00:11:10.539
Renee Baribeau: you know, and the the the spirits of the land in in when I was in Portugal and Spain. And then

71
00:11:11.270 --> 00:11:16.860
Renee Baribeau: I was, I thought, well, this is the only way I can walk with them. I'll take a picture. I'll take videos and I'll send them.

72
00:11:16.950 --> 00:11:24.540
Renee Baribeau: And I got back, and I was like lying in bed one day, and they're like, well, I sent him all these videos. Why haven't I heard from him?

73
00:11:25.000 --> 00:11:28.770
Renee Baribeau: Well, it turns out this man died the day I started walking.

74
00:11:28.770 --> 00:11:29.676
Sandra Ingerman: My goodness.

75
00:11:30.130 --> 00:11:33.520
Renee Baribeau: And he. But he inspired a whole

76
00:11:33.570 --> 00:11:37.119
Renee Baribeau: series. And I'm getting chills and a whole book.

77
00:11:37.650 --> 00:11:53.899
Renee Baribeau: and you know, so we we're always looking, looking looking for outside messages, and they might come on the wisp of a a a mail postage from somebody you haven't even heard from in years

78
00:11:54.000 --> 00:11:56.010
Renee Baribeau: that you don't even know.

79
00:11:56.470 --> 00:11:59.860
Renee Baribeau: you know, that you don't even respond to

80
00:12:00.040 --> 00:12:02.550
Renee Baribeau: to make such a big difference in your life.

81
00:12:02.640 --> 00:12:08.469
Renee Baribeau: and these messages will come all the time when you re.

82
00:12:08.720 --> 00:12:14.569
Renee Baribeau: when you can respond from the your heart. He clearly sent these from his heart.

83
00:12:14.590 --> 00:12:18.829
Renee Baribeau: and I clearly responded from my heart, and

84
00:12:20.480 --> 00:12:22.200
Renee Baribeau: I wasn't seeking.

85
00:12:23.390 --> 00:12:25.140
Renee Baribeau: It was seeking me.

86
00:12:25.680 --> 00:12:26.410
Sandra Ingerman: Yeah.

87
00:12:26.930 --> 00:12:27.700
Sandra Ingerman: yeah.

88
00:12:27.700 --> 00:12:29.609
Renee Baribeau: I think you know him, too, Sandra.

89
00:12:30.045 --> 00:12:36.599
Renee Baribeau: So it was quite a surprise when I woke up one morning at 4 o'clock in the morning, and it said, I go.

90
00:12:37.210 --> 00:12:39.359
Renee Baribeau: And they said, Oh, he's not here anymore.

91
00:12:39.480 --> 00:12:44.670
Renee Baribeau: And so I got on. You know, I went on, and I'm like, oh, my word, he died the day I started walking.

92
00:12:44.840 --> 00:12:51.110
Sandra Ingerman: Right? Yeah. And that pilgrimage took you so inner it was really

93
00:12:51.250 --> 00:13:00.910
Sandra Ingerman: it was really when when you come back when you came back, Renee, that we decided to take a break from the show.

94
00:13:02.030 --> 00:13:15.973
Sandra Ingerman: Both of us were not going through challenges. We were going through changes, and we both felt that we needed a little bit of quiet.

95
00:13:16.510 --> 00:13:17.090
Renee Baribeau: Hmm.

96
00:13:17.090 --> 00:13:22.460
Sandra Ingerman: To allow ourselves, and and the quiet for me

97
00:13:22.500 --> 00:13:30.990
Sandra Ingerman: was finally listening to my body, and once I started listening to my body it wouldn't stop talking so.

98
00:13:31.880 --> 00:13:32.770
Renee Baribeau: Chatterbox.

99
00:13:32.770 --> 00:13:48.209
Sandra Ingerman: So I had a lot to do, and for you it was once you were on that pilgrimage and got out of your regular routine and went into this really deep place.

100
00:13:48.250 --> 00:14:01.249
Sandra Ingerman: It was. I'm going to stay here for a little while and do my work, do my cards, and do my book, and and really do that inner work, so that what I'm producing

101
00:14:01.510 --> 00:14:06.039
Sandra Ingerman: came from such a deep and beautiful place inside of me.

102
00:14:06.320 --> 00:14:09.369
Renee Baribeau: Yeah. And so I encourage all of you to do that.

103
00:14:09.560 --> 00:14:32.159
Renee Baribeau: you know, for for 10 years I've been researching the winds, and for 10 years I've been trying to find somebody outside of me to do the drawings, the paintings of them. And my friends kept saying, You know, if we do. Those are the breadcrumbs, too. No, no, you have to do the art. And so finally

104
00:14:32.310 --> 00:14:50.190
Renee Baribeau: I thought, Well, I'm not talented enough to do the art. But then I discovered that with my, you know, I'm a graphic designer, and with, you know, with what I can do with illustrator and with some of the new AI technology that I was able to do the art.

105
00:14:50.340 --> 00:15:00.069
Renee Baribeau: But the book was the surprise. The cards were coming for 10 years, and now you know now they're at print, and they're selling like hotcakes on my website. But the book

106
00:15:00.610 --> 00:15:11.749
Renee Baribeau: the book took me into a new direction, because all I've been talking about is the wind and Shamanism, but the wind, the the walking book, is about pilgrimage. It's about going in. It's about

107
00:15:11.800 --> 00:15:23.339
Renee Baribeau: taking the risk to go to a foreign country and challenge myself to walk 1014 miles a day when I didn't believe I could.

108
00:15:24.570 --> 00:15:31.749
Renee Baribeau: You know I was. I bought El Cabino hats, thinking that I'm giving myself permission to take a cab from town to town.

109
00:15:31.990 --> 00:15:33.460
Renee Baribeau: and I didn't.

110
00:15:33.790 --> 00:15:34.820
Renee Baribeau: I walked.

111
00:15:35.470 --> 00:15:45.070
Renee Baribeau: you know. I took a couple of cabs here and there, but not after after 1012 miles of walking. I'm like, yeah, I think I'll take a cab for the last 2 miles. I can't do this anymore.

112
00:15:45.350 --> 00:15:51.610
Renee Baribeau: And I listened to my body because I wanted to get up the next day and be able to walk again.

113
00:15:54.030 --> 00:15:58.844
Sandra Ingerman: yeah, and so it's really a time. Right now,

114
00:15:59.450 --> 00:16:01.887
Sandra Ingerman: where with people,

115
00:16:03.518 --> 00:16:17.530
Sandra Ingerman: i'm really watching, I just taught finished teaching a 1 year practitioner training, which was amazing. It was wonderful to be back in person teaching again.

116
00:16:17.630 --> 00:16:33.249
Sandra Ingerman: and we just finished sew, retrieval. I haven't had the opportunity to teach a 5 day, sew, retrieval workshop, since before the pandemic. And you know this is my, this has been my life. And so this was such a joy.

117
00:16:33.250 --> 00:16:48.929
Sandra Ingerman: And so, you know, in going through this training and seeing how deep you know, we really work to go into our inner world once our soul comes back. And

118
00:16:49.000 --> 00:17:04.100
Sandra Ingerman: really, looking at what beliefs did we take on that we heard from others? And how do we let those go? And how do we find what our purpose is in life, and and that once we find our purpose.

119
00:17:04.280 --> 00:17:12.610
Sandra Ingerman: we stand up and and our past can be healed, because now we have a present and a future

120
00:17:12.619 --> 00:17:41.139
Sandra Ingerman: that we're passionate about walking towards. And so it's really important, because in the different work that I'm doing right now of looking at how the trauma work has changed from when I 1st started teaching soul retrieval and wrote soul retrieval, it actually hasn't changed that much, but

121
00:17:41.140 --> 00:18:00.700
Sandra Ingerman: there are certain things I can see that are very important. And from the time that we were working in a different generation we didn't have computers, and we didn't have all the Emfs that are going on.

122
00:18:00.700 --> 00:18:12.730
Sandra Ingerman: We didn't have people sitting so much. People were still walking. You had to run for a bus you had to run for a train. Things are just different now.

123
00:18:12.920 --> 00:18:35.990
Sandra Ingerman: And so people's bodies are really getting impacted by the stress of our environment, by the stress of the pollution, by the stress of watching the news, by the stress of seeing so much being destroyed in front of our eyes that

124
00:18:35.990 --> 00:19:05.619
Sandra Ingerman: it's really important to protect our own nervous system, because it can really be affected by what's going on in a way that past generations didn't have to deal with it in the same way. We have to do with it now. Like my mother's generation, they had so many challenges. The war, the, you know, not having food, everything. But they walked.

125
00:19:05.640 --> 00:19:23.370
Sandra Ingerman: they walked. They had to move all day long. You didn't have time. You weren't sitting there letting all this nervous energy build up. You were humming. You were singing all day long. There was constant movement in indigenous cultures. They're seeing

126
00:19:23.370 --> 00:19:43.020
Sandra Ingerman: that there aren't the illnesses that come from trauma that we're seeing in the West right now, because people moved all the time they didn't have the choice to sit down and watch, zoom and languish, or do other things.

127
00:19:43.170 --> 00:19:56.120
Sandra Ingerman: And so we're at a time where it's really up to you to take care of yourself and to set boundaries for yourself right now.

128
00:19:56.120 --> 00:20:19.259
Sandra Ingerman: and to really look at, how much did you take on from other people? How many beliefs did you take on from other people, so that you forgot your own strength, and you forgot the resilience that you were born with, and you forgot the reason that you wanted to be here.

129
00:20:19.290 --> 00:20:25.059
Sandra Ingerman: you know which is why we came. There was a reason we all wanted to be here.

130
00:20:25.070 --> 00:20:39.629
Sandra Ingerman: and I don't think you can get those kinds of answers to how to set boundaries. And what? Why did you come here? What your destiny is, what your passion is, what your purpose is.

131
00:20:39.750 --> 00:20:49.200
Sandra Ingerman: unless you really go within. Because where else are you going to get that information? Because it's coming from you?

132
00:20:49.410 --> 00:20:54.010
Sandra Ingerman: And so it's, how do you make that kind of time?

133
00:20:54.690 --> 00:21:07.910
Sandra Ingerman: And instead of thinking about it, going into your heart and starting to have conversations with your heart, starting to have conversations with your body

134
00:21:07.910 --> 00:21:24.769
Sandra Ingerman: and letting go of the shoulds, I should probably do this or this might work, but actually listening to your heart and listening to your body, and that takes a pilgrimage

135
00:21:24.800 --> 00:21:30.100
Sandra Ingerman: into the inner world, deep into your inner world.

136
00:21:30.100 --> 00:21:30.690
Renee Baribeau: And.

137
00:21:30.690 --> 00:21:32.756
Sandra Ingerman: Where you found find safety.

138
00:21:34.660 --> 00:21:45.420
Renee Baribeau: There's a chapter in a Pilgrim's Guide to walking. Wisdom called, Let go of the should of would haves and could haves. So we're right on track there. But

139
00:21:45.530 --> 00:21:50.480
Renee Baribeau: but that's that kind of brings us around to a close on this segment of this is that

140
00:21:50.770 --> 00:21:53.290
Renee Baribeau: we're not here to fix you.

141
00:21:53.720 --> 00:21:56.200
Renee Baribeau: We're not here to teach Shamanism.

142
00:21:56.340 --> 00:21:58.450
Renee Baribeau: We're not here to.

143
00:21:59.810 --> 00:22:02.060
Renee Baribeau: we're we're way showers.

144
00:22:02.210 --> 00:22:04.349
Renee Baribeau: We're we're 2 women

145
00:22:04.620 --> 00:22:07.930
Renee Baribeau: who face our own inner demons

146
00:22:08.160 --> 00:22:09.270
Renee Baribeau: and

147
00:22:09.370 --> 00:22:12.649
Renee Baribeau: hold community in the highest esteem.

148
00:22:12.800 --> 00:22:18.749
Renee Baribeau: and we are holding a circle here. But we're hoping that within this circle

149
00:22:18.990 --> 00:22:23.929
Renee Baribeau: that we're not, that you can go deeper in yourself

150
00:22:24.430 --> 00:22:30.839
Renee Baribeau: stop asking us the stupid questions that we're not going to answer, because that's not our job.

151
00:22:31.590 --> 00:22:37.690
Renee Baribeau: you know, if you have a question that you just want to hear yourself say in the group.

152
00:22:37.830 --> 00:22:47.819
Renee Baribeau: you might want to go outside, call to your spirit, guide, and ask there, and then come back and tell us the answer you got.

153
00:22:48.110 --> 00:22:53.320
Renee Baribeau: hey? I took a wind walk today, and when I was on my wind walk

154
00:22:53.510 --> 00:22:54.670
Renee Baribeau: you know what

155
00:22:54.730 --> 00:22:59.190
Renee Baribeau: the spirit started talking to me just like that man who sent me a gift.

156
00:22:59.390 --> 00:23:20.430
Renee Baribeau: and I didn't know what the gift was, but I'm there like well, how can I incorporate this gift into my life, and something greater comes from it. Let us be the gift you unwrap that can take your work deeper, so that you can start to explore your own self and go even further in your own practices, because

157
00:23:20.610 --> 00:23:23.499
Renee Baribeau: otherwise we're it's not of interest

158
00:23:23.780 --> 00:23:27.370
Renee Baribeau: for us to answer the questions we already answered. 6 years ago.

159
00:23:28.040 --> 00:23:43.450
Sandra Ingerman: Yeah, yeah, and and turn it into some play. You know, when some of the questions that you're you're asking, I actually play with. So like. There was a question that came up. How do you interpret messages?

160
00:23:43.710 --> 00:24:11.969
Sandra Ingerman: So I was at the river the other day with woods, and we just wanted to take a little break, and I got 3 omens on that day. 1st a bee came in front of my ring camera at home and danced in front of the ring camera. How many people have ever seen a bee dance in front of a ring camera and look at it! I have pictures of it.

161
00:24:11.970 --> 00:24:23.830
Sandra Ingerman: Then I went to the river, and a trout jumped up, did some assaults, and then a dragonfly, the biggest dragonfly I think I've ever seen.

162
00:24:23.870 --> 00:24:37.830
Sandra Ingerman: started circling. And instead of me running home and looking in books or emailing Renee, or I really don't know what those 3 omens meant. I really don't.

163
00:24:37.830 --> 00:24:54.339
Sandra Ingerman: But I'm having so much fun playing with it. It was a few days ago, and so I go. Well. Oh, it could be this, and it could be this, and I'm just playing with it, and when you play with it all of a sudden

164
00:24:54.570 --> 00:24:55.880
Sandra Ingerman: you go.

165
00:24:55.900 --> 00:25:18.170
Sandra Ingerman: That's it. I got it. So you know what we're talking about, of working in the inner world and facing your demons also involves an amazing amount of play of not taking yourself so seriously and not taking what's happening in the world so seriously.

166
00:25:18.190 --> 00:25:26.850
Sandra Ingerman: because we know we came here to live out a role. But what's happening is not true reality.

167
00:25:28.190 --> 00:25:33.710
Renee Baribeau: That's really great. It reminds me that last year in the fall I took a painting class with my friend.

168
00:25:33.770 --> 00:25:39.959
Renee Baribeau: and I painted a bear, and I have series of paintings of bears, but I hadn't painted the bear in years.

169
00:25:40.330 --> 00:25:42.169
Renee Baribeau: Looks like all the other bears.

170
00:25:42.360 --> 00:25:45.560
Renee Baribeau: you know. It's the same spirit bear. So

171
00:25:45.790 --> 00:25:48.789
Renee Baribeau: I went. The 1st night in Portugal.

172
00:25:48.800 --> 00:25:53.399
Renee Baribeau: A bear came in my dream. You're going to have to read my book if you want to know what the bear was doing.

173
00:25:53.550 --> 00:25:59.739
Renee Baribeau: Then when I, when I got back from Spain about a month later, the bear showed up again.

174
00:26:00.010 --> 00:26:21.409
Renee Baribeau: But when I was writing. I realized I'd gone back to some dream journals that the bear had showed up after I painted the bear before I even went back, and had all of the other things happen. So sometimes when you, when you see something like, you know the dragonflies or or the bees dancing.

175
00:26:21.680 --> 00:26:24.949
Renee Baribeau: it'll become more clear in 4 or 5 or 6 months.

176
00:26:24.960 --> 00:26:33.709
Renee Baribeau: and we have to remember that. You know, this is a this is a life this isn't like. You're not always going to get all your answers today, and I'm still.

177
00:26:33.950 --> 00:26:37.269
Renee Baribeau: I mean, I've kind of made sense about what the bear wanted from me.

178
00:26:38.000 --> 00:26:39.090
Renee Baribeau: and

179
00:26:39.240 --> 00:26:49.970
Renee Baribeau: I couldn't put it all together until much later. So sometimes hold those questions for about 6 months, and really then see what your answers are.

180
00:26:50.990 --> 00:26:55.040
Sandra Ingerman: Yeah, yeah. Cause the inner world works pretty slowly.

181
00:26:55.660 --> 00:27:21.889
Sandra Ingerman: Our outer world is moving way too fast for us, and I'm sure there isn't a person listening to this podcast who doesn't agree with it. And I know I can only say for myself, my body is asking me to slow down, and that's the only way that I can really relate to nature and my body right now, because my body doesn't move as fast as the rest of the world is moving right now.

182
00:27:22.580 --> 00:27:23.150
Sandra Ingerman: Well.

183
00:27:23.150 --> 00:27:26.002
Renee Baribeau: Beyond that, I think that we're back.

184
00:27:27.190 --> 00:27:37.609
Renee Baribeau: what we suggested following us on some of the other podcast channels, whether it's apple or wherever you get your podcast spotify, we're on all of them.

185
00:27:37.980 --> 00:27:51.399
Renee Baribeau: And then, if you are a Youtube subscriber, know that you're not going to see us, you're going to hear the audio with some nice pictures, so you'll still get it that way, and we look forward to being back with you and

186
00:27:51.580 --> 00:27:53.960
Renee Baribeau: seeing what comes up for us to talk about.

187
00:27:54.690 --> 00:27:58.890
Sandra Ingerman: Yeah, it's great to be back and take care of everyone.
