Welcome to the bevy podcast. I'm hired Howard, your host here on the bevy. We have fun, thoughtful conversations with friends. Pull a seat up to the table. Come chill with Hey, what's up. What's up. It is day number 10 of the gratitude challenge. What you're doing great. You're doing great. Just give you a shout out. Yes, you, you, you are doing great. You are awesome. You are amazing. You are. Loved. You know, every morning when I start the day, I start off with affirmations with my daughter and you have heard part of those affirmations and the big emphasis is that. You are loved. I want to convey that to her. And I want to convey that to you. You are loved. So without further ado, I am so excited. To share what my gratitude today is. And it is. Words. Well eight word in particular. So I learned. What. Some archeologists believe to be the first. Written word. Do you know what it is? I'm sure that. You have some guesses might be sun or maybe. God or water. Maybe. Mother father. Maybe ruler. Those are probably all good guesses, but none of those is right. Just two. Let you know, The word. Is AMAA. G, and that is the, I think I'm pronouncing correctly. A word. From the cuneiform language was one of these ancient languages that. The Sumerians. Use, you might remember them from your days in history class or for our Bible scholars out there y'all are very familiar with the Sumerians, but. Yes, 3,200 years ago, they wrote I'm a G. And this word. It's roughly. Translated into. What we would understand as freedom. How beautiful is that? Freedom. Freedom is one of the first written words. That appears in all of human history. Think about that. Freedom. And I think. It's no coincidence that, that word. Does appear. Because we all have deep within us, I believe. A strong desire. To be free. And freedom of course has been, is, and probably will take on many different definitions depending on how you look at it. But fundamentally. I would say that an aspect. Of being human. Is the longing. For freedom that we have. So there you go on McGee and it literally means return to mother. Ah, ah, yeah, it's, it's just a, a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful word. So I'm going to just leave it there with a wise word. I picked up today. Not to say that I just study cuneiform just on the low, like that. Ah, but. I do happen to be interested in ancient history and pre-history so we're really any type of history I'll take it. I'll take it. So that's what I have for you today. Maybe there's some wise words. That I've shared that you've heard just in our brief time together, that you might be able to share with someone out some encouraging words, or maybe to yourself. And just remember to, like you are. You are free. You're deserving of freedom. All right. Until next time, take it easy. Peace.
