Welcome to the bevy podcast on the bevy podcast, we have fun, thoughtful conversations with friends. Pull a seat up to the table. Come chill with us. What's up. What's up. It is day number 20 of the gratitude challenge and my gratitude today. Is. Sometimes inspiration comes in the most unlikely places. So yesterday I had an appointment at the doctor's office as you know, doctor's offices. Can sometimes feel like very sterile environments. You know, you go in. Check-in. I go to the waiting room after you get to the waiting room, you're shuffled into some office, but. This particular office was bright, had some nice. Oh, the typical decorations. In any ways. I'm almost, I think I'm wrapping up my appointment and I just happened to glance up at the room and the room is kind of. All rectangular. Shape. And on the far end of the room, there is a portrait. And the portrait has this quote and it just really caught my eye because sometimes. You know, you're thinking. And your mind is a wash and thoughts, and sometimes you just need that dose of encouragement, that dose of inspiration and this. Sign definitely gave me this dose of inspiration. It's unattributed but I'll read you what the sign said. The sign said live the life. You've always dreamed of. Be fearless in the face of adversity. Never stopped learning. You use your imagination wherever possible. Recognize the beauty that surrounds you. Remember where you. Came from, but never lose sight of where you are going. So let me just read that one more time. Cause it's so good. And I want you to go with this throughout the rest of your day. What'd you to have a little bit of inspiration. Live the life you've always dreamed up. Be fearless in the face of adversity. Never stop learning. Use your imagination. Wherever possible, recognize the beauty that surrounds you. Remember where you came from, but never lose sight of where you are going.. I know some of you might be thinking, oh gosh, it's like really corny or cheesy or, oh, did you really just read us one of those inspirational quotes? That's printed somewhere with like teamwork. Yeah, maybe I did, but hopefully you'll get something from that. I definitely left inspired and it made me think. About how often. When I am doing a task, particularly one of my creative tasks. I think everything needs to be just so, and I remember one time talking to an author of a popular children's book series. Now that's all over the New York times bestseller list. And I was talking to her about, when does she do her writing? She had a very young family. On top of that, you know, other duties, job going on, like where do you find time to write? And rather than her just saying, like she was writing some pristine tower somewhere, she said, look, I write. 5:00 AM in the morning. 45 minutes. Every morning. On the kitchen table. I write when the kids are napping. I write when I have a moment of spare time. In between walking the dogs. So. the point of the story is this. If she can be inspired. creme New York city apartment at a kitchen table in between her kids, her dogs and everything else that life has thrown at her. What's our excuse. Hopefully. That will be less of a criticism but more of a challenge that you might accept to find inspiration in an unlikely place whether that's in a creative pursuit you're doing or it's something entirely different who knows what might become of that inspiration you have? It might just be the seed of a great project, a great business, a great novel. What are the seeds? I'm excited to see them grow. Until next time, take it easy. Peace.
