Welcome to the bevy podcast on the bevy podcast, we have fun, thoughtful conversations with friends. Pull a seat up to the table. Come chill with us. Hey, what's up. It is gratitude day number 28 day number 28. Yes, we are on our way to closing out the gratitude challenge. And today, my grateful is for. Experiments. So let me explain. I know immediately when you hear experiments, you think science. Perhaps you think about that volcano project for middle? At School and they're probably some more sophisticated experiments that come to mind, really what I'm thinking about here. Is more the ability to experiment in your own life. On the margins with just small things, it could be as small as deciding. That you were going to try out a new. Lunch spot which has been part of my experiment. Typically I've been, would bring my food from home. And some of you thinking, yeah, you probably should keep doing that because out here they're literally charging ransom money to get just some lunch. But I will say historically. People. Throughout time. Would eat out. Eating at restaurants was the norm. And they probably weren't like restaurants that we would think of today, but they were restaurants nonetheless, because having the resources. That you needed to actually cook food. And store food. And we're really, really tricky. So I learned that in some podcasts way back when, but there you go. You can have that for yourself. Little tidbit This week I've taken the plunge and I've been experimenting with. Buying out and in the process of buying my food out for lunch, I've tried out new restaurants, which has been fun. There are other ways in which you can experiment. either with your time, Or how you exercise the exercises you bring. Experimenting allows for you to introduce variability into what might otherwise be monotony. And for some of you, monotony might not be a bad thing. I understand there is some level of satisfaction, some level. Of predictability that comes with monotony. And I don't mean that in. A negative sense, but. People deeply crave stability. And yet. There's an option. To introduce some variability, some options for you to play with. during the day. And I think, you know, if you think about this gratitude challenge, that's really all, this is, is really just one experiment to do something that you might not otherwise do. In the context of a community. Is it your experiment today that you might take on? Let me know. So that's what I have for you today. Until next time. Peace.
