Hello and welcome to Circle of Parks podcast, episode number 188. Today we are talking about first timers must eats in Epcot. There is far too much to see and do. We are here to help guide you through, but before we do that, we must talk. Disney merch, disney merch. So this week, disneystorecom, there is a really cute Spirit Jersey for kids. Yes, that's right, I said for kids. It is priced at $54.99. Wishes come true in this pullover Spirit Jersey with puffy, glittering Disney princess logo and Stardust accents plus dreamy screen art of seven princesses. So it's a pullover spirit jersey, like they all are. Okay, but the screen art features Cinderella, moana and Rapunzel on the front, and then the screen art on the back shoulder is Ariel, tiana, belle and Jasmine. So I thought it was a super, super cute spirit jersey. Again, it's kid size, priced at $54.99. And that is this week's Disney merch.
Speaker 2So I'm going to assume this is for like girls.
Speaker 1I mean, yeah, kids, whoever likes the princesses, yeah.
Speaker 2Mm-hmm. Okay, I'm surprised they haven't been making spirit jerseys for kids more.
Speaker 1Right, yeah, like you see a couple here and there, but it's not like a huge selection all the time. You're right.
Speaker 2Yeah, I just thought there would be more. It's just not a big selection of spirit jerseys. Yeah. Not that we well, we have a few, but yeah, you don't see many, yeah, no you don't, so all right. Well, thank you everybody for joining us. Episode number 188. And let me tell you, this one was hard to narrow down.
Speaker 1Right, so you just included them all now no.
Speaker 2So and here's the thing Like don't eat. You're not going to eat at all these restaurants your first time going. This is more of like a guide of what we think a first-timer might hear of or think is quintessential. Epcot and we haven't eaten at all these restaurants. We're not even going to try to like give a review, but it's just, there's so much in Epcot that it's hard to narrow down where to eat at for your first time.
Speaker 1Right, right. And we haven't experienced all of these ourselves either, but at some point in time we probably will.
Speaker 2We will, yes, and if you're new here, thank you for joining us. We have a lot of new listeners. I'm Zach, I'm Brittany and we do this podcast every single week and our goal is. We have three goals. One one to just break your week up, take you to disney, help you relax, helps us really relax, takes our mind off whatever's going on during the week, whether you're out, walking, running at the gym, in your car, wherever. Thank you for listening, we really do appreciate it. To help you have a better walt disney world vacation. We've learned we've done so many bad things wrong, sorry, not bad but we've done so many bad things wrong, sorry, not bad but we've done so many wrong things and so many good things. We're just here to share our experience and maybe maybe not take our advice, but kind of like, hey, tell yourself, like well, they tried this, so maybe this will work for us and maybe it won't, you know. And three just help you relax.
Speaker 2If you try to go too hard in these restaurants or not in these restaurants, but in these parks Disney's going to win.
Speaker 2Yeah you're not going to beat Disney. How you win Disney is to not try and do everything in one trip because you're not going to get it done and you're going to beat yourself up and you're going to be mad because you didn't do everything and then you're going to be that family in the park yelling at each other because you're stressed out trying to get everything done and that's not making a very pleasurable trip.
Speaker 1Yeah, just pick a handful of what you think would be favorites for the family and if you get all those done, then anything additional great. But if you're like we've got to go here and here and here and here and while we're there we're gonna do this and this and this and this, then it does become overwhelming and things happen. Life happens sometimes. Things might be open at the time that you're at that attraction, you know, and you just can't let it get to you you can't.
Speaker 2Our second trip almost broke us. We did that we tried to do that we tried to go from 6 am till midnight, with two boys that were six and four. That was a mistake, right and then. But our first trip, we didn't know anything, we did no research and it was so, it was great right, yeah and we didn't know any better right.
Speaker 1Ignorance is bliss going along with the people we were with and oh, okay, we're gonna do this now.
Speaker 2Sure, all right we had no idea, but anyway, so we're here to try to help you have a better vacation, so you don't need a vacation from the vacation right, yes, so we're gonna start right off here and we're gonna go sit down restaurants, quick service and then snacks again.
Speaker 2This was very hard to narrow down but I think number one on the list, quintessential epcot. When you think of epcot, if you're our age, you grew up on full house, you grew up on boy meets world. All list quintessential epcot. When you think of epcot, if you're our age, you grew up on full house, you grew up on boy meets world.
Speaker 2All those quintessential shows, all they all went to walt disney world right in the 90s eisner wanted to showcase a lot of the abc shows in disney because they had they owned abc, so all the popular shows always went to walt disney world right and there were several scenes in full house that was filmed in this restaurant that we're about to talk about and Boy Meets World.
Speaker 1Well, I just Full House sticks out more. Full House is the one that sticks out in your head. Yeah.
Speaker 2With Uncle Jesse in the aquarium. We're going to Coral Reef Restaurant, but it was. Danny also it was Danny too, but it was in Coral Reef in the aquarium.
Speaker 1And now we say all this, but yet we still have not eaten here. We have not eaten here.
Speaker 2And you know, here's the thing. We have an aquarium restaurant here in Nashville. We don't go to it.
Speaker 1Yeah, but this is called Coral Reef.
Speaker 2This is Coral Reef. It's something about eating seafood while looking at seafood. Yeah, it's like, hey, this is your buddy right here. I don't know if I can do that Right, I don't know, it's just weird yeah. And there's just so many more, I don't know say better.
Speaker 2But, there's so many other options, so many other options, that we haven't been here and their menu has been completely revamped and it doesn't look that bad. Entrees the most expensive entree is $45, which is surf and turf, but you do get a great view of the second largest aquarium in the united states. The first one's a georgia aquarium. This is the second largest one now and surf and turf. Grilled mahi-mahi mojo chicken, coastal palm cakes, seafood, boil, shrimp, fettuccine those are going to be your entrees.
Speaker 1You know, I haven't heard anything bad about it right and some people love this place yeah, and then your appetizers are a car salad, chicken wings, coconut fried shrimp and lobster bisque. And then for kids they have sustainable fish, macaroni and cheese, grilled steak, grilled chicken with barbecue sauce and grilled shrimp.
Speaker 2So yeah, but when you think of Epcot, I think I knew of this restaurant and I did not know anything about Epcot before we started going, but I did know of this restaurant.
Speaker 1Right yeah.
Speaker 2So take that for what it's worth. All right. What is next on our list?
Speaker 1Next is one of your faves Garden Grill I will say this is my favorite character dining spot.
Speaker 2My favorite character dining spot is because it is in the land pavilion right and rotates around the most underrated attraction in all of walt disney world, in my opinion. Living with the land. What can what? What can go wrong with this right? Right you're in the land pavilion. You're eating and living with the land. I've got a big buffer between me and Mickey. I love seeing the characters. I don't want to meet with them.
Speaker 1Right.
Speaker 2This is a character dining place.
Speaker 1And how the seating is. You can be further back.
Speaker 2Yes, I got a good buffer, so I enjoy seeing other people interact with the characters. I just don't want to.
Garden Grill Breakfast Harvest Feast Recommendation
Speaker 1Right Now they do have breakfast, lunch and dinner. We've only eaten here at breakfast.
Speaker 2I highly recommend it.
Speaker 1And it's like an all-you-can-eat. So it's not buffet, it's like a. They call it harvest feast and so they bring it to your table, but if you want more of something, you can get it.
Speaker 2It's a platter, yes, and it's $49 per adult and $33 per kid, so it's a little bit on the cheaper option. As far as breakfast, all you can eat go Right and it's just basic breakfast pastries, fresh fruit, Mickey shaped waffles, backyard grilled steak, which is really good Bacon, scrambled eggs and skillet potatoes Again, it's really really good.
Speaker 1Right, and then you also get seasonal fruit Like if you want plant based, you can get seasonal fruit impossible. Breakfast sausage, skillet potatoes, plant based Mickey waffles and scrambled eggs.
Speaker 2So, and they do have like an allergy friendly menu and allbread, salad, carrots and celery, grilled steak, rotisserie roasted turkey mashed potatoes, green beans, vegetables, macaroni and cheese, farmer's pie, farmer mickey cupcake peel and eat shrimp, so they have a good selection of food here and again. You're in the land pavilion, you get to see in the farmhouse scene and if you look in the farmhouse, there is a full bedroom set up so you can see in there, right? Yes?
Speaker 1And the characters here. You know they're going to be dressed up on their farming outfits. You know overalls and all that. So it's really cute theming to go along with it as well.
Speaker 2Yeah, I love it. I don't like character dining. This one I would go to every single time.
Speaker 1And they didn't do like a dance or anything.
Speaker 2No, it's not overly loud or obnoxious or anything like that, right? So I highly recommend Garden Grill. All right, what's next on our list?
Speaker 1Le Cillier Steakhouse.
Speaker 2All right.
Speaker 1So we have not eaten here? We have not.
Speaker 2This is in the Canada Pavilion yes. And the next restaurant that I've heard most about after Coral Reef is Le Cillier. Yes, I've heard about Le Cillier more than any other restaurant in Epcot, and it's steaks.
Speaker 1It's a steakhouse.
Speaker 2I know ryan and I want to go okay, I mean, I'm not saying, I don't want to go right um, but again it's disney steaks are disney steaks yeah they're not above the top, like they're not super, super good. And again there's just other places we have.
Speaker 1They have a bison strip loin oh, all of a sudden, you're changing your mind. Okay, all right for 57. Okay, you have my attention there, okay, yes, but you have like new york, strip steak filet mignon. You have pork, chop now bison, strip loin ribeye and then you can enhance it as well, you know, add some shrimp and truffle scallops and some other items truffle scallops are pretty good.
Speaker 1Yeah, and you know you can also get chicken, heritage chicken, canadian black cod, sweet potato, butternut, agnolotti, and you know it comes with a lot of different sides, so it's like it's going to be set up like a steakhouse. You know your sides are going to be a little more fancier, but you also, you know, can get roasted garlic, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, macaroni and cheese, glazed filled carrots, braised mushrooms and hand-cut palm frits so this is supposed to be in the.
Speaker 2You're like the setting of. It's like a wine cellar is the setting, so it's like a very romantic. Maybe we should go in this month.
Speaker 1I don't know, we'll see.
Speaker 2You want to go here or Shikisai.
Speaker 1No, I don't know. We'll talk about that later. I'm on the Japanese?
Speaker 2I don't know, anyway, yeah. So again, I've heard about it a lot, I knew about it and it is a place we do want to go. And. I think it is another option if you're trying to get that full Epcot experience.
Speaker 1Right, and for kids they have grilled chicken fish, grilled cheese sandwich, grilled steak and macaroni and cheese. So you know, for the kids, or pick your eaters that are younger, they have those items.
Speaker 2Yep, all right.
Speaker 1Where to next. Next is San Angel Inn Restaurant.
Speaker 2So we have eaten here recently, back over the summer, and it is the sit-down restaurant inside the Mexican pavilion. Yes, so you see it as you're going by on Three Caballeros and when you're just browsing around the sombrero shops and everything there inside the pavilion, and we did a full review on it if you want to go back and check that out. But this is going to have your basic Mexican fare for a sit-down Tacos, steak, enchiladas, that kind of stuff. It was good.
Speaker 1It was good Like I would go back. Yeah, I would definitely go back.
Speaker 2All right, moving on. That's going to be it for sit-down restaurants, so next is going to be Connect oh, sorry, connections eatery all right and this is going to be the sit-down restaurant across from club cool, where electric umbrella used to be, and this is a nice, open air, bright restaurant with great music. I love the music in here and it's a little. It's quick but it's elevated quick service, because you kind of expect a little bit better quality in Epcot, right.
Speaker 1Right.
Speaker 2So this has the French Bistro Burger which I have had. It is gourmet beef blend, caramelized onions, bacon, brie, mushrooms, Dijon mayonnaise, toasted brioche bun. I thought it was delicious for $14.99. They also have pizza. You get two slices. They have margarita pizza or pepperoni pizza or just cheese pizza for $11.79 and $11.29. Pretty good for Disney pizza.
Speaker 1Yeah, and two slices.
Speaker 2Pretty good, pretty good. So this is a good wide, open area if you need to get a big table for a large family. This is going to be a quick I'm sorry, mobile order will save you a ton of time. There's plenty of tables in here and I just love the theme.
Speaker 1It's not really themed to anything very well, but the music in here is really good, and he went on a trip by himself, so one day I'd like to go. They are also known for their Liege waffle.
Speaker 2That is. I think you can get that here, you can.
Speaker 1I'm staring at you, you can. Okay, I'm on the menu the Liege waffle.
Speaker 2So sometimes they have, depending on the festival, they have a figment one right now, oh, okay.
Speaker 1Well, the regular one on their menu is a brioche dough with pearl sugar, strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate sauce for $5.79.
Speaker 2All right, then All right. Where are we heading to next?
Speaker 1La Hacienda de San Angel.
Speaker 2Back to the Mexican pavilion. We have not eaten here, but we have heard great, great things about this quick service place. I've never heard anybody say anything bad about it. Right, and it's the one to the right that has seating inside as you're walking into the mexican pavilion and it's just flautas to tapos. Queso fundido and their house specialties are pescada del dia, asabuco, carne asada, tomahawk steak.
Speaker 1That's 120 for a quick service restaurant wow, are you sure you have this right? Yeah okay, because I'm looking at these prices and I'm like, whew okay.
Speaker 2And for the entrees. Yeah, so this is going to be another option for you.
Speaker 1All right, so next on our list is Pizza Al Tuglio.
Speaker 2The pizza window.
Speaker 1Yes, that's why you wanted me to go, because you didn't know how to say it.
Speaker 2No, I just wanted. Yeah, there's a pizza window. It's really good, and it's right next to what's that name of the pizza place there via napoli, which is supposed to have the best pizza in all of walt disney world the pizza window. It's not the same pizza as you get at the pizza window, but for quick service walk up it is really good yes, it is, I was.
Speaker 1I was impressed by they put a lot of cheese on it and that's a good thing, but I was impressed by just how good it was and for the price, the size that you get, the amount of food you're eating. You know, the pepperoni pizza nine dollars, the pizza margarita eight dollars and fifty cents.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, I've had the pepperoni. You've had it. It's really delicious. Is it gonna be the best pizza you get? I don't know. Hopefully it's open when you go. It's not always open, but this is another quick service option that you may want to look at right.
Speaker 1Yeah, we just more recently tried it, because a lot of times it is not open. But maybe they'll change now because I mean they were very, very busy and a lot of times it is not open. But maybe they'll change now because I mean they were very, very busy and a lot of people eating there when they were open.
Speaker 2Very long line, yes.
Speaker 1Yeah, and the one drink that's really good there is the frozen wild blueberry. It's non-alcoholic wild blueberry juice at price at $8, but it was really good.
Speaker 2Yeah, all right. Moving on to the japan pavilion, one of my favorite quick service restaurants in probably all of walt disney world, katsura crow. It is at the top of the japan pavilion, very peaceful yes, very relaxing, and it is a garden in the garden area.
Speaker 2it's very tranquil. This is where you can get your sushi. They got sushi combos spicy roll, California vegetable roll, grilled chicken salad, beef udon. I love their shrimp tempura. I love it, I love it, I love it. They have shrimp and chicken teriyaki, chicken cutlet curry and chicken and beef teriyaki. Everything's $15.99 and under.
Speaker 1Now the sushi. They range from $10 to $14.
Speaker 2And they do not have mobile order here.
Speaker 1They do not have what.
Speaker 2They do not have mobile order. Oh yeah, so you can't mobile order here, so you do have to go up there and order like you normally do. But highly recommend it. You get a great view of the World Showcase Lagoon. Just a great, peaceful, relaxing place, something you may want to go check out. Yes, I'm gonna let you move on with the next one too because you can't say this one all right, this is going to be the french uh, the in france pavilion the, the france quick service bakery service bakery.
Speaker 1Le Halle's Boulangerie Patisserie.
Speaker 2The patisserie. Yes, good job, and there's no mobile order here. You just have to wait in that line and this is where you're going to get your traditional French pastries and sandwiches and brioche buns and your baguettes and your croissants. Our oldest Ryan loves croissants. He has to go here and get one every single time. But they have cheese plates, bacon and cheese rolls. They have the quiches here. Like, everything here is delicious.
Speaker 1Yeah, I want to experience it a little bit more one day and try a few more items. And then we also have gotten the macarons.
Speaker 2This is where you get your macarons, and you get wine and whatnot here as well. But you get all your classic French desserts, your clairs the tarts, again your quiches, different filled croissants and beignets and I don't know if they're I never heard anything good about the beignets here.
Speaker 1I haven't really heard anything about the beignets but a lot of the other pastries and stuff. Everybody says it's delicious.
Speaker 2Yeah, so if you want any kind of French pastry or sandwich, this is the place to go to.
Speaker 1Yeah, I want to try their quiche, lorraine, one day Okay.
Speaker 2All right. Next, for a quick service, we're going to the England Pavilion and we're going to the england pavilion and we're going to go to yorkshire county fish shop. I think this is a staple here. Yes and they have one thing and one thing only, and they do it extremely well beer, battered fish and chips. Yes, that's it, and it is so good. It's 13 49. It is a huge piece of cod big fish huge like we've.
Speaker 1You can share it before.
Speaker 2Yes I've eaten it by myself before too. It did not go well.
Speaker 1Just did not feel great after, just not feel good.
Speaker 2So you get yourself a beer, batter, fish and chips, get you a harp I love a harp every now and then and you sit there right in the lagoon and just chill.
Speaker 1Yeah, so this is right there on the lagoon. There is some outdoor seating just a little walkway from it, uh, but yeah it, I was very impressed. It was really good it's really.
Speaker 2You can mobile order here. I highly recommend you do that because the line can get really really long, yeah, so, uh, the bear batter fish and chips is 13.49 and the harp is 12.25, but again, you're getting a lot of food for that 13. It will fill you up even when you have another person. Yes, all right. Moving on to I added club cool to snacks. This is a fun place it is try the beverly.
Speaker 2Do that. You have to do the beverly challenge, but it's just. It's one of those quintessential things that you have to do, right? You?
Speaker 1have to and be ready to film your family doing it in their facial expression. It's fun, it's so beverly.
Speaker 2There's only one of three places you can get beverly. I don't family doing it in their facial expression. It's fun, it's so beverly. There's only one of three places you can get beverly. I don't even make it in italy. It was supposed it was a mixer in italy and it was a palate cleanser, so they just didn't drink it out of bottles like coke, but they didn't drink it out of a bottle like a Coke. It was made to mix other things and then to cleanse palates between servings.
Speaker 1Yeah, I've tried it twice now. I can now say, I will not try it again.
Speaker 2Well, the only three places you can find it now are here in Walt Disney World, because you can get it at the Coke store in Disney Springs. You can get it at the Coke headquarters in Atlanta and there's one more Coke store, I think it's in Vegas. Those are the only three places in the world you can get Beverly now.
Speaker 1Now there are a lot of other interesting flavors and drinks here to try in the Fountain Machine.
Speaker 2There is a drink here that tastes like the Rome burning scene in Spaceship Earth.
Speaker 1The descriptions you give. That's what that tastes like. The room burning scene in Spaceship Earth.
Speaker 2The descriptions you give, that's what it? Tastes like Do you remember which one? Yeah, it's the one from China. It's like a barbecue. It tastes like a barbecue kind of thing I don't remember.
Speaker 1I know I like Madagascar, and then there's another one. I can't think of the name.
Speaker 2I like the one from Russia. It's like a cucumber, yeah.
Speaker 1Like a cucumber spray. That's okay.
Speaker 2It's like a light one, but no, you know how that Rome burning smell seems right. This is how that tastes. Okay, the one from China. It's like a barbecue-ish taste.
Speaker 1I think I didn't really care for that one. Yeah, I didn't care for it either.
Speaker 2Yeah, do you want the taste of?
Speaker 1Rome burning in your mouth.
Speaker 2I don't. No, no, yeah, all right. Moving on to Norway, we're going to go to Kringle Bakery og Café. If I pronounced it wrong for our Norwegian listeners, I apologize.
Speaker 1Yes, and we have eaten here. We have eaten here on several occasions and it's really good it is, and we've tried a few different items here and the school bread. It was better than I expected it would be.
Speaker 2I did not like the school bread but I did try it. So you're better at this than I am.
Speaker 1Well, no. So the school bread is a sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut, so you need to be a coconut fan to have this. It's not like barely there tasting. It is there, it is present, but it's a decent piece of bread, like size-wise, and it's $4.99. And then we also got what the Norwegian Kringle.
Speaker 2The Norwegian Kringle, and then we got the Lefse.
Speaker 1Yeah, and so the Norwegian Kringle is a pretzel-shaped pastry with assorted toppings, almonds or chocolate. I believe we got chocolate.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1And it's priced at $6.99. I think everybody liked that one a little bit more. That one was okay to me. Yeah, yeah. And then the how'd you say it?
Speaker 2Lefse, I don't know Our Norwegian listeners. I apologize.
Speaker 1So it's priced at $3.79. It's a soft, flat bread rolled with cinnamon, sugar and butter.
Speaker 2And that was similar to like a cinnamon roll a little bit. I like this because it's not super sweet, right, and the the pastry, the flatbread, is like a potato based. So I like this better because it does have a little bit of that cinnamon taste to it. So it's a little sweet but not overpowering. So I I did like this. I think I ate the whole thing yeah and it's 379, so there are quite a few snack options here.
Speaker 1Yeah, there's more that are Norwegian, and then they also do like a Mickey cinnamon roll here as well.
Speaker 2They have a very unique beer here. It's a Nordic draft beer and I'm not going to try to pronounce it, but I like getting. I'm not a big beer drinker anymore like I used to be, but I do enjoy getting beers that you can't get anywhere else.
Speaker 1Right, I need to get a coffee here next time, the Viking coffee oh.
Speaker 2I see, oh, okay, I need to try that next time it's going to be a little hot when we go. You don't care.
Speaker 1In just a couple of weeks. Yeah, no, it's usually not too hot.
Speaker 2Okay, hey.
Speaker 1Hey, that's a maybe All right then we'll make a stop there.
Speaker 2I'll get me a Nordic draft beer and you get yourself a Viking coffee. We'll just mosey around World Showcase for a while.
Speaker 1Yep.
Speaker 2All right. Next we're heading to the Germany Pavilion and we're going to go to Caramel Kusch.
Speaker 1Yep.
Speaker 2Brittany, you've been here more times than I have.
Speaker 1I've only eaten here once.
Speaker 2We've gotten a few things from here. And there's not really like the caramel bars and stuff.
Speaker 1Yeah, and this is what we get the caramel corn, oh that's right, we did get the caramel corn too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, uh, yeah, the caramel bar is delicious. I mean, if you want to, if you love the smell of caramel, love the taste of caramel, this is the place to go. Caramel covers everything here, and they do caramel apples.
Speaker 1Uh, it was the caramel butter bar caramel butter bar it is rich, but oh, so good I did not even attempt to try it and then they have a lot of other caramel desserts, uh, as well as, uh, the, the caramel popcorn which it it's slightly better than other caramel popcorns I have had because they make it right there fresh. Right yeah.
Speaker 2So you see people walking around with the bags of the popcorn all the time.
Speaker 1Yeah, it is so good. But I mean you open that door or walk by it and it's just, oh, it smells so delicious.
Speaker 2I just smell sugar. That's all I smell, and I'm like I can't even go in that place, right?
Speaker 1But it is, it is good. And you know, the caramel apples, just depending on which flavor you get, can be $5.99 to $9.99. The popcorn, depending on how much you get, can be $3.99 or $5.99, and then other things are just different prices depending on what you get.
Speaker 2So yeah, yep, all right, we're moving on, and this may be my favorite snack. Oh, we skipped one weird flavored chips in china. That is our boy.
Speaker 1One of our boys favorite thing to do yes, so in the china pavilion there's, there's a area like outside of the bigger restaurant that sells them now too, like a little kiosk place.
Speaker 1But if you go in I can't think of the name of the big the gift store there, but the big gift shop, the very, very big gift shop, um, but they have a lot of different lays, potato chips, like unique flavors, very unique flavors, and yeah, the boys just really like trying them yeah, they, they always they're curious to to try the most adventurous ones. I don't, yeah, you know and I've tried them along with them, and you know some of them I'm like, yeah, we'll never get that again. But then there's been a few that's like, hey, that wasn't bad, that was pretty good and usually my day trips.
Speaker 2When I do go to epcot, ryan's like, bring me back a bag of chips.
Speaker 1I'm like okay, right, yeah, that's the souvenir.
Speaker 2Yeah, all right, moving on to what I like to go the ice cream shop, the artisan de glasses, the ice cream shop.
Speaker 1Les Artisans des Glaces, the ice cream shop in the.
Speaker 2France, pavilion. This may be my favorite snack, but the line is always so long and it moves excruciatingly slow.
Speaker 1I have yet to try it, but I want to.
Speaker 2But I'm a sorbet guy, I love sorbet, and here's where you're going to get your ice cream Single scoop $7.95. Doubles $9.95. And flavored waffle cones are additional $2. They have macarons with ice cream. I'm getting this next time. I hope I have room in my belly when we go this month. The croque glace Okay, it's one scoop of your choice of sauce and a homemade brioche pressed warm for 10.95.
Speaker 1So it's whatever ice cream choice that you want and choices sauce yeah I'm just gonna get my classic sorbet with no sauce and just you're gonna do sorbet inside the brioche you got a problem with that, you, you can have your Viking coffee.
Speaker 2No one's judging here. I'm going to have my strawberry or raspberry. Ooh, I got raspberry, I'm just I don't know like.
Speaker 1I love me some raspberries, I feel like sorbet is like more of a by itself thing, but okay.
Speaker 2I'm going to try, I'm going to try, I'm going to try. You don't have to have any, trust me.
Speaker 1I'm just messing with you, but they have mango sorbet, raspberry sorbet, strawberry sorbet and pina colada sorbet.
Speaker 2To this point if I'm enjoying it and you're like, hey, let me try a bite. I'm like, no, you made fun of it on the podcast. You don't get any of it, I love you too.
Speaker 1But yes, and then their flavors of ice cream, just to give you an idea. So vanilla, praline, chocolate, caramelized pecan, cinnamon, caramel, apple, coconut, white chocolate, coffee, caramel, fleur de sel, ice cream.
Speaker 2To our French listeners. I apologize.
Speaker 1Yogurt and blueberry mint chocolate.
Speaker 2Yeah, so there's always a long line here. It's hard to catch it without a line Right and this line just moves so slow. The line for the bakery moves pretty quickly If there's a long line, don't be intimidated by that. If there's a long line for La Hasca, you're going to be there a bit.
Speaker 1Right, yes.
Speaker 2So just keep that in mind. And last but not least and we just figured this out on our last trip the popcorn in Canada it's not just any old popcorn the maple popcorn for $7. Right, I didn't think I'd like it, it was good.
Speaker 1It was good, but for me I wouldn't get it again. You would get the caramel popcorn.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, see, I would get the maple popcorn over the caramel popcorn, because the maple popcorn is not nearly as sweet.
Speaker 1I mean, and I get it Again, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't my favorite. I liked it.
Speaker 2I liked it a lot. And they also have some assorted alcoholic beverages here. They have a Moosehead draft, a Le Fendu Monde draft and an Ottawa apple. That sounded kind of intriguing to you for 1650, the crown royal maple apple infusion that would be too sweet for me, though.
Speaker 1Yeah, I, I don't know you don't know. Yeah, okay, all right so it's, I don't know, like for me real quick, like with me when I'm like. I don't know it's because it depends on when we're there. For me, in certain alcoholic beverages, when it is super, super hot out, I don't really drink a lot of alcohol Because I'm just like it's too hot, but the Viking coffee had Baileys in it, which intrigues me a lot.
Speaker 1So, if we're going and it's somewhat pleasant since it'll be in the month of February, that could be. This could be the only time of year I would get you would get it. Okay, that's fair enough, or if we went again at like Christmas time or something okay, yeah, so let us know what you think, uh, of those.
Speaker 2Um, if you would add or take a new way, I think that's a pretty good list. Again, we're not doing Disney trivia anymore I missed it but we are doing Would you Rathers. And I was going to do two Would you Rathers but we changed the recording time so we only got one and it was a. Would you Rather Garden Grill or Space 220. Brittany, would you Rather?
Speaker 1Garden Grill.
Speaker 2Garden Grill. Garden Grill won handedly.
Speaker 1Like by a count of two to one okay, yeah, everybody, no one's loving on space.
Speaker 2There was like one or two. Everybody else was like I'm out. Everybody was going to go to garden grow.
Speaker 1So well, I just you're my people well, I think like the pricing for what you get and all of that you know in the atmosphere of it too, and you're getting to meet characters.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah all right, so anything else you'd like to add?
Speaker 1no, no, I think that's all. Yeah, sorry, we changed the day of our recording, so that's why he didn't get to get another. Would you rather out there? Uh, but just some some extra things coming up this week, so moved the date of this recording up by a day. Yeah, it's okay, yeah all.
