Episode #199: Magic Kingdom Attractions: Over, Under, or Properly Rated
We rate and review every attraction in Disney's Magic Kingdom as underrated, overrated, or properly rated to help you navigate your next vacation more effectively. From Main Street USA to Tomorrowland, we share insights on wait times, experiences, and whether popular attractions live up to their hype.
• Main Street USA is often overlooked as guests rush to rides, but contains incredible historical details and charm
• Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room is severely underrated and represents the first audio-animatronic attraction in Disney history
• Jungle Cruise's quality depends heavily on your skipper, making it inconsistent but best experienced at night
• Tiana's Bayou Adventure successfully reimagines Splash Mountain while maintaining the beloved flume ride experience
• Peter Pan's Flight is overrated when considering its consistently long wait times relative to the short ride experience
• Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is one of the most underrated attractions in the entire park
• Space Mountain remains properly rated as a must-do classic despite newer, more thrilling coasters
• Enchanted Tales with Belle offers an interactive, immersive experience that doesn't receive enough recognition
• The Haunted Mansion is universally beloved and properly rated despite consistently long wait times
• Happily Ever After fireworks show perfectly combines projection mapping, music, and pyrotechnics to create the ultimate Magic Kingdom finale
Your Disney experience should reflect what matters to you, not just what has the longest lines. Consider adding some of these underrated gems to your next Magic Kingdom day.

hello and welcome to circle of Parks podcast, episode number 199. Today we are talking about if attractions in Magic Kingdom are under, over or properly rated. There is far too much to see and do. We are here to help guide you through. But before we do that, we must talk Disney merch. So this week on DisneyStorecom I came across a really cute espresso mug set. They are Ewoks, the Ewoks themselves are the mugs, and it is a set of three priced at $39.99. And so its description is when you need a little pick-me-up, pick up one of these little Ewok Expresso mugs. They each feature a different design, cute faces in 3D elements, and you can also stack them. They are stackable. So again, ewok Expresso mug set for $39.99. And that is this week's Disney merch.
Speaker 2:All right, Thank you everybody for joining us. Episode number 199. Almost 200. Yes, hard to believe Almost we're going to do for episode 200. I didn't plan it this way, but it's just working out that way. Yeah, where to find Walt in Walt Disney World? So I think that's a good 200.
Speaker 1:Big episode.
Speaker 2:Big episode, you know.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:You okay over there.
Speaker 1:I am.
Speaker 2:Sure.
Speaker 1:Yep.
Speaker 2:Just got tangled up Tangled up in the cords, alright, if you're new to the podcast. Thank you so much for joining us. I'm Zach, I'm Brittany and we do this podcast every single week and our goal, mainly, is two things Hope you have a better Walt Disney World vacation and to break up your week. It's a break for us. Talk Disney with us, listen to us wherever you're at and hopefully we can bring some Disney joy and magic to your day. Yes, that's our main goals here, and if you follow our friends and sponsor, travel Planner Erica, at their podcast Once Upon a Park podcast, they're coming after us, all in good fun.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:This week they're going to be doing Animal Kingdom and they are non-Animal Kingdom fans.
Speaker 1:Yes, so I'm sure they will have differences in ratings.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so all right. So this week I know we've gone into more detail with the attractions and all this stuff. There's so many attractions here. We're not going to be doing that today because we don't want to go. We've been doing an hour plus. We're going to not do so much in-depth description and just the ride height and just a really quick what it is Just brief yeah.
Speaker 2:All right. So speaking of that, let's get right into it. Brittany walking right down the middle of Main Street, usa relaxing down Main Street and taking everything in. Do you think it is under, over or properly rated?
Speaker 1:I think it's under.
Speaker 2:I agree, Underrated, and I threw this in here. Is it an attraction? No, but I think Main Street USA gets overlooked by a lot of people because you see the castle right and you want to go do other stuff right.
Speaker 1:Right, you're rushing to see the king castle, right, and you want to go do other stuff, right.
Speaker 2:Right, you're rushing to see the castle and then, okay, what are we going to do? Right, yeah, and there's so much detail and history built into Main Street USA that it often gets overlooked, and I think this is I mean, I wrote that after a song walking right down the middle of Main Street USA. It is an awesome song, and I think this is something that a lot of people don't do and it's really underrated. I think yes, especially the names on the windows.
Speaker 1:So good, right, and even you know, minus those details, just taking in like what stores and like little, you know like the confectionery and you know like all of those places. I think you're just bypassing them.
Speaker 2:The Abbersbrook, whatever the, the, I forgot the name of the brothers where they do the glass blowing oh yeah, I forgot the name of them too, but yeah it's like abros brothers or something. They've been there forever. They have a plank in place in disneyland too really cool, yeah, really unique.
Speaker 1:There's just yeah, there there's a lot more than you realize besides just passing by the Emporium and all that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, all right. So we're going to move on to, we're going to Adventureland. We're going to move on to Swiss Family Treehouse.
Speaker 1:Yes, so this is any high all ages. It's an attraction that you basically walk through.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, it's a step up.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you're climbing steps. But you know, if you've heard of the Swiss family Robinson movie and all of that, it's built where they were shipwrecked on a deserted island and you're crossing a bridge, all of that, you're climbing up. You're seeing their living headquarters.
Speaker 2:Basically, yeah, what do you?
Speaker 1:think. I think it is properly rated I think it's underrated.
Speaker 2:Okay, I think there's some cool stuff in there, some old school walt, disney world stuff hasn't changed much. I mean they've done some refurbishments on it, but overall it's the same as it was. Opening day. Yeah, you get some great views of the castle and and other surrounding areas and I think it's a great thing to get some energy out with your kids, because it's a lot of climbing, that's true but I think it's underrated.
Speaker 2:I don't think a lot of people talk about it and I think it is a very important part of the park as far as history goes yeah, I would say that it's just.
Speaker 1:I don't know, it's not like my most favorite thing to do.
Speaker 2:I'm not saying it is, but is it a must do for us? No, but we always do just because at least, every other time okay, we're here, let's go through it right you know, but it's not a must do, but we end up usually always doing it yeah, all right.
Speaker 1:All right, moving on.
Speaker 2:So now we are on, we're backtracking, yes sorry I thought to put this on here after I've already done the split family treehouse, and I didn't want to go back and change everything it's fine.
Speaker 1:So so Walt Disney World Railroad and you can get to this located in Main Street, usa, but then there's some other stops as well, adventure, oh sorry, frontierland, and Fantasyland with, where I can always think of that land. The circus.
Speaker 2:The big tent. Why are we going blank right now?
Speaker 1:Anyway, yes.
Speaker 2:We do this every season.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's part of Fantasyland, but it's back there around like Big Pete's.
Speaker 2:Yeah, dumbo and all that. Yeah, anyway, all right, moving on Okay.
Speaker 1:So celebrate Classic Americana at this picturesque train station near the entrance of the park. Any height, all ages. We just covered the different stops, but it does take you around the like parameter of the park it's called the grand circle tour yes, well, I don't know how much detail you're wanting me to get, because you're like there's a lot to cover. Just saying that okay, so I put properly proper, I did.
Speaker 2:Properly rated too, it's. I think it is a must do not every time, but as a first timer, I think this is a must do. Um, trains are very important. Walt love trains. Um, you get to see the whole park, yeah, and there's great guided narration along the way, and you get to see inside of tianas and I think you get to see some of the wooded areas that you don't normally get to see if you're not on the train.
Speaker 1:Right, and the trains themselves are very vintage.
Speaker 2:They are. They were made. It's in my book, I wrote extensively about in my book. But they were found in the Yucatan and they were used in the Yucatan to transport fruit, okay, and so they brought them back to Florida completely restored and these are early 1900 steam locomotives and they converted them to. They're not steam. Well, they are steam, but it's not wood, it's water steamed.
Speaker 1:Okay. So, there's some history there.
Speaker 2:There's some history there. Yeah, there's. They're really cool. They had them completely restored. Yeah, I think it's properly rated. There's always people on it and there's a lot of really cool easter eggs in the train station too yeah my book has all of it all right.
Speaker 1:Well, we'll look forward to whenever it comes out. Yeah, all right back to adventureland, the magic carpets of aladdin. This is any height, all ages. It's a slow ride, involves some spinning. You're flying over adventure land on an enchanted carpet ride inspired by the disney movie aladdin and, depending on where you sit if I forget, if it's oh front row you direct how high or low you fly, and then if you're sitting in the back row, you're basically tipping it forward or backward yeah, so yes, um, this is dumbo with aladdin.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's all this is yeah, carpet instead of the elephant.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so I put over I agree this always has a long line and I think, just because it's in adventure land and it's a really big choke, point right there yes that it can get like a 30 plus minute wait yeah, I agree.
Speaker 1:I think it's the location of it because, again, it is basically the same as dumbo and if you don't want to wait quite as long for the same type of ride, you might want to head over to dumbo when they're running both of them yeah, they usually always run both of them. Yeah, but we'll get to that more, yeah but, um, I mean, I'm not saying it's it's fun, but just for the weight that it tends to get, I think it's over I would agree, overrated.
Speaker 2:Um, not a bad attack, we've done it once, but it's like, yeah, I would rather do more things in adventureland, or just hang out in adventureland eating a dole whip or just whatever and enjoying the ambience and do this yeah that's my opinion. All right, we're moving on to jungle cruise yes, jungle cruise.
Speaker 1:So this is another, any height, all ages. It's a slower moving ride. It's a boat tour of exotic rivers across asia, africa and south america. Uh, your guide, your skipper, is usually like a comedian type guide. You know they have a lot of jokes. Some are more like dad jokes, things like that. Um, but I would say for this one I put properly rated okay sorry now. One thing I do want to say is it does take a little twist on it during the holidays and it becomes jingle cruise.
Speaker 2:So so I've been a huge advocate of Jungle Cruise. Love the dad jokes. I love the theming here. I love the so many Easter eggs here. I have been spoiled and had some amazing skippers yes, especially in Disneyland. When come back to the East Coast, they just don't measure up.
Speaker 1:I think it just depends on the skipper it honestly does.
Speaker 2:The skipper can make or break this attraction and it's consistently what 45, 60 minute wait.
Speaker 1:Yeah, a lot of the time.
Speaker 2:I'm going overrated.
Speaker 1:Oh wow.
Speaker 4:I was not expecting that I have not enjoyed our last few cruises.
Speaker 2:On the jungle cruise, I just have not. The, the skippers just have not been that good right and I know it's not the attraction's fault- but, I just feel they just weren't that funny.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they were very bland and, honestly, it really truly does depend on the skipper, because, I agree, like you know, I've had some where I'm like, oh, ha, ha, ha, like the whole time and smiling, and then other times where it's like, really okay, you know no one's gonna top that woman we had in disneyland at night.
Speaker 2:I was laughing out loud the whole time. Right, it was the same story, but she just had little quips on it. That just brought it. It brought it, and maybe I'm just having too high expectations now I don't know well for me personally.
Speaker 1:I mean, this ride is one that I definitely don't have to ride every time, and I think I prefer it, um, when it's the holidays and you like jungle cruise, yeah I think this is becoming better at night.
Speaker 2:Okay, because it's more mysterious yeah, you know that it's more not spooky, but just you're in the jungle, you don't see anything like. I think it's better at night. Yeah, I've changed. I feel bad saying that, though, but it. But it's the truth.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so hopefully when you get to ride this ride, you have a skipper. That is exceptional.
Speaker 2:Good luck. I hope you do, because they can make a difference. They can make a difference. They really can yes.
Speaker 1:All right, still in Adventureland, moving on to Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
Speaker 2:In the Tiki Tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room.
Speaker 1:So this is a musical extravaganza. Tons of tropical birds and tiki gods, colorful flowers. They come to life. It is, you know, a show. It's a chance to get out of the heat. It's located there by is it Aloha Isle, or is that in Polynesian?
Speaker 2:I think Polynesian is Pineapple Lanai. Okay, yes, so it's Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom.
Speaker 1:Yes, so you can even get a Dole Whip and take it in here as well. Yes, the wait, it's usually just you're waiting for the next show.
Speaker 2:And there's a cool pre-show with the birds while you're waiting.
Speaker 1:Yes, but it's right before it starts, so it's not going to be the whole time you're waiting, and so I put underrated I completely agree wow, we're agreeing a lot overall, do you?
Speaker 2:want to elaborate you want me to. This is walt disney's speaking of where to find walt disney in walt disney world. Walt disney's enchanted tiki room okay, right the history. Here you got walt disney, the sherbin brothers that came up with the tiki room song, these audio animatronics. We would not have hondo anaka, we would not have the shaman in pandora, we would not have the flying spider-man at dca without these birds. Right, these were the first audio animatronics ever built in the world, not just in disney in the world.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so much is owed to this show right here and it's, and it's fun like we didn't do it the first couple of trips, but we didn't know yeah, but once we did, we enjoyed it and the boys enjoy it. The boys like it, yeah, we love it.
Speaker 2:Grab you, seriously. Grab a dole whip, take it in. This is one of the few things you can bring food in, probably yeah they encourage you to the one in disneyland that stands literally right outside before you walk in yes um, yeah, like this is quintessential. I know you don't think of disney when you think of this, but this is quintessential what he was wanting, disney yeah, underrated, go check it out great show yes great, great show yes, so we are still in adventureland yeah and when you break it down.
Speaker 1:And we are going to pirates of the caribbean, and this is another one caribbean whatever I say it both ways honestly that's true yep, so any height, all ages, it's a slow ride. Small, dark, small drops.
Speaker 1:It's a darker ride so, um, you set sail on a voyage to the long forgotten time and place where pirates and privateers ruled the seas, and of course, you've got, you know, the yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate's life. For me and I, I, I think this is another ride where, initially, we didn't ride it and have thoroughly enjoyed being on it when we ride it.
Speaker 1:This is a must do now and it is I put properly okay elaborate you just because there is usually a line there is here a lot of people that's on their fast pass, whatever it's called. Now you know, but in the past lightning lane.
Speaker 1:Yeah, multi-pass, whatever you know, it's usually one that people are looking for because a lot of people liked those movies, like this ride. Know that. You know there are little drops, it gets you out of the heat, uh, I just I don't know. I think it's a fun ride on and it doesn't matter which coast. I enjoy both coasts. Now I will say I do enjoy the one out west better, but I still think this is properly rated for the wait times that it gets and all of that.
Speaker 2:Okay, here we go. Here we go. Classic Disney attraction Classic I. Before we had gone to Disneyland I would have said this is underrated.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:I am now saying it is properly rated after riding the OG Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:It's so much better.
Speaker 1:Well, and it's longer too in Disneyland.
Speaker 2:But it's just better. This is really, really good. That's why I'm saying it's properly rated. It's usually like a 20 30 minute wait, which is definitely fine. I do, however, want to use a lightning lane multi-pass for this when we go in june, because I want to see the chest table. It's been a long time since I've seen the stalemate with the skeletons and it's only on the Fast Pass or Lightning Lane queue. It's not on the standby queue. All right.
Speaker 2:So I want to go see that, because it's been a long time since I've seen it. Yeah, okay, but yeah. I would say properly rated. It's a great attraction Classic Disney boat ride. I love it. Great attraction Classic Disney boat ride I love it. I can't go over or under because it's properly rated.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I would agree. Okay, the next one. My tab isn't showing me anything to read about this attraction for height requirements.
Speaker 2:All right, it's Tiana's Bayou Adventure. We're moving on into Frontierland and it is 40 inches 40-inch height requirement. This is, you're going on a boat flume ride through Tiana's Adventure. This is supposed to take place after the movie, the former Splash Mountain attraction with some great audio animatronics in it and, depending on where you sit, could get really really wet or not really that wet at all yeah, we didn't get too wet when we wrote it, but I have seen some people just coming off of there just sopping wet, so it really depends on on where you sit.
Speaker 1:So um, I I put properly.
Speaker 2:I originally okay, go ahead, go explain.
Speaker 1:Well, I just think the hype around it obviously, yes, it's a newer ride and everything you know, but so many people love um, the, the movie that these characters came from, and I think they did a really good like. It was one of those like I wasn't sure how it was going to be, you know, because, yes, it was replacing another really good attraction, but I think they really brought it together and there are some screens being used in it. I know in the beginning some people were like, oh my gosh, they used too many screens. No, they didn't. They used them a few times, but you still have plenty of animatronics and, uh, the way that the little, the drops, the smaller drops introduce you into different scenes and stuff. I just think they really did a good job bringing it together. Um, I'm putting properly with the hype that we experienced when we went. Now you know how you wait in line and stuff is different. It was just a virtual queue before, so but I'm putting properly all right, so my initial thought on this was overrated okay I am.
Speaker 2:I was sad to see splash mountain go because that was the first attraction we rode on as a family right for all four of us.
Speaker 2:So it had that kind of sentimental place with me, right, yeah, and I did love all the songs we watched, as as a kid in elementary school we did watch the cartoons, so the songs really resonated with me okay. So I really really missed that and I I was sad to see splash mountain go and I wrote about this a lot in the book. Actually the history of it really interesting history of how splash mountain came, came to be.
Speaker 1:But now it's tiana.
Speaker 2:Now it's tiana's, and they did do a really good job with the rethink. I'm not gonna knock it at all. They did a really, really good job with the rethink. It does not fit in with frontierland yet I don't know what they're going to do with that area. Um, but I did, when I think about it as a whole, that nobody knows what who brer rabbit and brer bear are. Nobody knows that anymore right.
Speaker 1:So you have to do what people know well, and the cue is amazing too.
Speaker 2:Yes, like once you're in it yeah, walt always said they have to keep up with everything and I get it. So this is going to be enjoyed by generations to come. Now, right, right. So I, I, with all that in mind, I put properly rated. Okay, but my initial thought was over, but I'm trying to take my emotions out of it for a minute. It is properly rated, it is still. It's still a flume ride, it's still splash mountain. The same ride. Right.
Speaker 2:Just rethemed and they did add that little hump to it. Where you're going, I don't know if you're going through time or whatever it is, Well, you're supposed to be shrunk down?
Speaker 1:I think Okay.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, properly rated. Mm-hmm. We will do it.
Speaker 1:I don't know if it's going to be a must do for us, but right, we will. We will do it now. This is just a lightning lane multi-pass right. So yeah, no more virtual, no more virtual queue or single pass for yeah, yeah, all right, all right. Well, thank you, because I don't know why my information went pulling up, but it is again, so, um. Next, still still in the same area, but we're not in adventureland still, we just got to frontierland but it's still anyway right there frontierland big thunder mountain railroad.
Speaker 1:Now, at the time of this recording, we are in april 2025. It is temporarily closed for refurbishment until january 6th. No, it's that's when it closed.
Speaker 2:That's it closed. It is a year-long closure.
Speaker 1:So we don't know a date for sure yet. It could be in January of next year, but we will see.
Speaker 2:They're completely redoing the whole track, hopefully.
Speaker 1:They're supposed to add a scene.
Speaker 2:We should be getting the dynamite scene like they have in Disneyland. We'll see.
Speaker 1:I hope so, but yeah, they're completely redoing the whole track. Yeah, so this is another one. That's 40 inch height requirement. Uh, it's a thrill ride. Small drops, it does go pretty fast at times. You're kind of thrown and thrown around a little bit in your seat. It's the wildest ride in the wilderness, you know that's it's best remove them.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, if you Move them.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah. If you have hats on and stuff, you better be holding on to them. So it is a fun ride and I put properly rated.
Speaker 2:I agree, properly rated. Okay, this wait can get very long.
Speaker 1:It can.
Speaker 2:It can get very, very long. There's always a lot of hype around it. Everybody wants to do it. It's a great coaster. Amazing storytelling in the queue yeah, amazing storytelling. Amazing easter eggs. I'm not going to get that much into it, um, but there is a connection to the tiki room here as well oh yes, I did a real about.
Speaker 2:We've talked about it, yeah you got to go check whenever that comes up. Opens back up. So I love all of that. I agree, properly rated. It is the hype around. It is worth it. It is a fun coaster. Sit in the back, wait and sit in the back. It is so much for the middle sit in the back so much better whenever it opens up. I'm sure it's gonna be a long, long wait oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1:But well, plus, you know people are wanting to see like okay, how is the track? Did they put that other scene in there? All of that stuff.

Speaker 1:Right, yeah, definitely goes above and beyond and just communicates very well. And you know, I don't think we've ever felt stressed or anything while dealing with her, no, no, she's, she's amazing.
Speaker 2:All right, Moving on.
Speaker 1:All right. So we're still in Frontierland and this is Country Bear Musical Jamboree. It's been recently updated. It's a show, so any height requirement, any age, and so you're heading over to Frontierland for this newly reimagined show where Henry, trixie, big Al and their pals are playing some songs, some of your favorite songs, alongside a heaping helping of Southern charm. I'm not rating this because we have not experienced it.
Speaker 2:I agree, not rating it. I agree, not reading it. We will on our next trip. Yeah, despite what Brittany says.
Speaker 1:Well, I just don't think the boys are going to enjoy it.
Speaker 2:It's the one thing in the magic kingdom we have not, Okay. So the one thing but anyway and we didn't experience the older version of it either, so I think with the new songs they may enjoy it more.
Speaker 1:Maybe, yeah. Maybe, but again, we don't want to rate it when we haven't even experienced it. I know some shows, some vloggers, all of that they still will try to give their opinions without actually experiencing it.
Speaker 2:But we're not like that. We have no opinions. Yep, yep, all right Moving on All right.
Speaker 1:Now we are headed to Liberty Square, the Hall of Presidents, any height, all ages. Behold all the presidents of the United States in a stirring show tracing the nation's history, and I'm going to let Zach talk a little bit more about it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's a different show than what we thought it was going to be. It's more of a history of the presidents during very crucial times of our country. Yes, and it was different. I enjoyed it. I really did thoroughly like it, and the lobby here has some amazing presidential artifacts.
Speaker 1:Yeah, amazing, like the lobby was good, the actual, like figures of the presidents were good, I thought they were going to be used more, I think, than the show part itself. I thought like the actual presidents would be more of it okay yeah, so for me I put overrated, because oh, whoa wow because I thought again what I just said if, if they used these, like these animatronics, audio and audio animatronics.
Speaker 2:Audio animatronics.
Speaker 1:Audio animatronics more throughout the show. I think I would have enjoyed it more because that's what I was expecting. Okay, so I mean, it's not a bad show or anything, and if you like history and all of that, you're really going to like this no matter what. But I was thinking the audio animatronics were going to be more throughout the whole thing I went underrated.
Speaker 2:Okay, I think it's a great show. Is it a must do every time? No, but is it a lot of hype around it? No, it doesn't, but there's a. It's a really good story. There's some really cool stuff in this lobby. I wrote extensively about this lobby. They have president george washington's shoe buckles oh, interesting, I didn't see that.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay that's old.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's really old. Yeah, that's really cool there's a lot of abraham lincoln stuff. Uh, walt's favorite president was abraham lincoln, so there's a lot of stuff devoted to to abe and there's just some really cool artifacts. They've got President George Bush's Texas Rangers jacket I'm a Rangers fan, so that was kind of cool to me. President Carter's fly fishing stuff I like to fly fish. So I think, that's really cool.
Speaker 2:So there's just some cool stuff in there that you normally wouldn't see at like a presidential type thing, and the seal of the United States on the floor had to get an actual act of congress to approve that wow and that's the only place outside of washington dc. You'll see that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, seal and again there's. You know there is a lot there. I just I was expecting a little. I I knew there was still gonna be a story in history and all of that. I was just expecting more from the audio animatronics that, that's all. Disagree Agree to disagree on that yes, all right, all right.
Speaker 1:Still located in Liberty Square, going to Haunted Mansion, climb aboard a gloomy yes, gloomy dune buggy for a grave journey through a labyrinth of haunted chambers. You can be any height, all ages. It's a slow ride. Dark might be a little scary for some of the littles. It's a spirited tour. Okay, so you're gliding past a casket-filled conservatory, madame Leota's chilling seance room and a ghostly graveyard of singing specters. As you attempt to find your way out, beware of hitchhikers. These phantom pranksters may follow you home. I put properly rated.
Speaker 2:I agree, properly rated. You have to tread lightly when you talk about Haunted Mansion, because there are some diehard Haunted Mansion fans. Yeah, in my book I didn't even attempt to go into the backstory and the Easter eggs. I'll talk more about the history, because you can write an entire book on this attraction. Right. It is, I think, arguably one of the most beloved attractions worldwide in Disney, I think. Yeah.
Speaker 2:The wait time can get well over 45 minutes to an hour usually. Now it does move fast. It does, but I think it is worth the hype. It is hyped up really high and I think it keeps up with it. Properly rated yeah, I would agree.
Speaker 1:Alright, Now we're heading over to Fantasyland. It's a small world. You can be any height, all ages. It's a slower ride. Embark on a whimsical boat ride past a jubilant chorus of children from around the globe. It's the happiest cruise that you've ever sailed. It is a 10-minute journey through all seven continents and as you're going through it, you are hearing the song it's a small world.
Speaker 2:You're welcome, by the way.
Speaker 1:So I didn't continue, because that just that's all you did. That's all you did in your head yeah yep, so um, there is some, you know mary blair, mary blair, flair and all of that good stuff. But uh, I put properly I did.
Speaker 2:Um, it's the attraction. Everybody loves. To hate it. It's properly rated. There's never usually that long of a wait.
Speaker 1:I think a lot of people do it just to say you've been on it, to say you've been on it In our first-timers episode.
Speaker 2:this is a must-do for first-timers, I think, just because of the history of it, and you hear all about it.
Speaker 1:Yes, but if you are ever in Disneyland, I like Disneyland a lot better. Disneyland is much better.
Speaker 2:Yes, completely agree. But yeah, there's not really a lot of hype around it, it's usually like a 15. It's usually pretty quick 10, 15 minute wait, I think that's yeah, properly rated, and it's also another one, though, you know, maybe if you have littles and it's, you know, july, summer, day.
Speaker 1:Get out of the heat for a little while yep, yep, yep, all right, still in fantasy land.
Speaker 1:We're gonna be here for a bit. There's a lot of stuff. We are headed to peter pan's flight embark on a high-flying adventure over iconic scenes, uh, based on the animated film any height, all ages, slow ride, kind of small drops. You're setting sail across the sky and, as it said, going through different scenes. Um, you know, you're waving goodbye to nana, all of that. So, uh, passing by big ben, the tower bridge, so I this before I say what I'm gonna say, because some people are probably gonna get upset. Um, this line is always extensively long. It is like an hour, yes, at least, yep, uh, unless you are there like first thing in the morning, you know.
Speaker 2:So I am putting over overrated I agree it is overrated, completely agree. So the reason the line is always so long this has a very low ride capacity per hour right that's why it just it does not have a lot of capacity. That's why it gets backed up. It is not worth the 45 minutes to an hour wait that it constantly is. Now the queue is great. Yeah, I'd be like hey, can I just go walk through the queue?
Speaker 1:right explain the queue a little bit has some awesome interactive elements.
Speaker 2:you walk through the queue Right. Explain the queue. The queue has some awesome interactive elements. You walk through the darling's house. It is really, really cool, but yeah, I think it is overrated for the wait times and the hype around it. I love a good dark ride, yeah, but it's not worth the hour plus hour plus weight no no it's overrated and I think we said that in the last episode.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and if you don't experience that once you're inside in the line queue and you're walking through their house, if you do Lightning Lane and bypass that, then it's really not worth it.
Speaker 2:It does you don't get yeah.
Speaker 4:Yeah, I still remember that. You need that. You do it tells the story.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 1:All right. Again still in Fantasyland, going to Mickey's PhilharMagic. This is a Disney magic meets Disney music in a 12-minute 3D fantasy adventure starring Donald Duck, any height, all ages. Again, it's more of a 3D show, it's something that I think.
Speaker 2:It's a 4D show.
Speaker 1:Well, this is saying 3D but there are some 4D elements.
Speaker 1:Yes, it is something that I think when we first went to watch it, we had no idea what to expect. We're more like, oh, it's just a show, oh, okay, and we've talked about this so many times. It brings back so many scenes of movies from like the early 90 movies and stuff, as well as some other older classics and even newer, you know, from be our guest, part of your world. I just can't wait to be king from all of those beating the beast, little mermaid, lion, king, um, and again much more, and it just really brings out the child in you, I think a little bit if you grew up around the same time that we did, and so it does not get a lot of hype around it.
Speaker 2:I put under I agree, underrated, and if you've listened to this at all or listened to us at all for any period of time, you know this is the attraction that got me to fall in love with Disney. Right, it just. It took me back to my grandmother's wood panel den and I was seven. That's exactly what it did, and so it doesn't get a lot of hype around it. You're just waiting for the next show. Great, it's just a great show.
Speaker 1:It is Underrated. Yep, completely Yep. All right. Fantasy Land going to Prince Charming Regal Carousel. So it's your carousel. Ride atop a regal steed and gallop through a whirling backdrop of wondrous color in whimsical music, any height, all ages, slow spinning, and it's uh, there's some history to it.
Speaker 1:There's a lot of history there is some history to it so I don't want to say what how I said it, like it's just a carousel or anything. But the ride itself is what you expect from a carousel ride and the line. There's always a line. It's not like super long usually, what? 30? Minutes Usually not even that You're just waiting for the next go around, maybe 20 minutes, you know, depending on the day I put properly.
Speaker 2:I agree, properly rated. This is a good family attraction. We went on it our first time. You know you're going to wait one or two rotations of the carousel. This is the oldest attraction in Walt Disney World. I just wrote about it in my book and see if you can find Cinderella's horse. Her horse has a golden ribbon on the tail. That's Cinderella's. Not at this carousel. But I remember back when we were in disneyland last summer watching burt and mary poppins oh yeah, writing it and they were playing the uh what song was it?
Speaker 2:um go, let's go fly a kite. I was like man, that is such a like they need to do that in walt disney world yes, I think they occasionally will, but in disneyland it's more common yeah, I was like man man.
Speaker 1:That was just amazing.
Speaker 2:It was so good.
Speaker 1:That's one thing. In Disneyland, I mean, there's so many more characters that are just walking around and interacting with you, or like that prime example. They are just hopping on the carousel. Other people are still on the carousel with them too. Yeah, they're right next to them.
Speaker 2:Yeah, just hanging out Right in into let's go fly kite. Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, but um, yeah, I put properly rated, not a lot of hype around it, not a lot of people talk about it, mainly. Just you're gonna have your families on it or people that just really love carousels yeah, it's a good good history here, though you can check my book out whenever it comes out if you want to know about it yes, all right.
Speaker 1:So fantasy land. Now we're going to seven dwarfs mine train race through the Diamond Mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on a swaying family coaster ride 38 inches or taller thrill ride. Small drops there is you know where they get your picture at one of the drops, you know. So you're going to have that attraction photography and it's hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work. You go, so I. This ride gets a lot of attention, a lot of attention, and I think part of it too is because it's one that younger kids can go on as well that's the thing.
Speaker 1:A lot of families can go on this yes, um, I have debated between properly and over. Okay, and let me explain real quick. Oh, the reason why I'm debating is over because it is a shorter ride, but the queue and the elements in the queue, I think, are what's making me go to properly rated, because when you take all that into consideration, even though the ride itself is shorter than I would like it to be, um, and it's a smoother coaster, the way the the carts are that you're sitting in, I'm going to change it from over to properly I'm going overrated oh, okay again, it's a great coaster for kids family it's.
Speaker 2:It's short though it combines a coaster with the dark ride element with the mine, but for that wait time is it's always like 70, 80 minutes yeah it's not, it's overrated yeah, and I mean it's just again, I had it over yeah I think we're going to do a single pass, because we've been a few years since we've done this, so I think we need to do a lightning single pass for it when we do, when we go in june, maybe, what do you think? Possibly. So I'm not waiting.
Speaker 1:I'm not waiting on this line no, and that's the thing you know, like you were saying. That's why I said I almost did over, because the ride itself is so short and the lines can get long. But I do like all the elements in the queue too, so you know, yeah. Yep.
Speaker 1:Yep, all right, we still in the same land. We're going to the mini adventures of Winnie the Pooh Any height, all ages, slow ride, travel through hundred acre woods in an oversized honeypot and get lost in the pages of classic tales. This one tends to have a decent weight as well. It's a cute ride, I mean. I liked watching Winnie the Pooh as a kid and stuff, but I'm putting overrated.
Speaker 2:Whoa yeah, wow yeah.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah, I just think for how long the line can be sometimes and for what it is.
Speaker 2:It's usually like 20, 30 minutes.
Speaker 1:Wow, I've seen it longer.
Speaker 2:Well, I'm going based on 20, 30 minute wait time.
Speaker 1:Okay, I've seen like 45.
Speaker 2:Well, I've seen that too. Yes, but more often than not it's usually 20 to 30 minutes. I'm going properly rated. Okay, it's cute, it's a fun ride. I like a lot of the nods to that. There's a lot of Easter eggs here, very well themed, but yeah, I'm going to go properly rated 20, 30 minutes yeah properly.
Speaker 1:Well, I did over based on I've seen it more often 45 minutes and I'm not waiting 45. Fair enough.
Speaker 1:Yep, all right. Mad Tea Party. Spin round and round in a giant teacup during a madcap music-filled whirlwind, any height, all ages spinning. You know it's one of those. Like you can make it spin faster or not, it's up to you. If you ride with Zach, be ready to go super fast. If you are in the one with Nolan, our youngest, you're not, you're going to. You're going to be good. You're not going to just be sitting there. You're going to be spinning a little bit, but you're not going to come off falling down.
Speaker 2:So what are you going to do when he says I want to go fast?
Speaker 1:I better have had my dizzy.
Speaker 2:You're going to have your own teacup, or maybe my own teacup.
Speaker 1:Okay, but anyway, there's usually not too long of a wait, and so I put properly rated Okay. Because, I feel like there's so many smiling faces on the kids on this ride, whether it's our own kids or other kids, I mean, they're just having a good time. So I put properly rated.
Speaker 2:Every time we do this, I always have fun. Yeah, like you're, so I put properly rated every time we do this, I always have fun, like, just like innocent kid fun, I put underrated. Oh okay, underrated, it's just always fun. And the trick to not getting dizzy is stare at something and don't take your eyes off. That that's stationary, so I just always stare at Ryan I do't take your eyes off that.
Speaker 2:That's stationary. So I just always stare at Ryan. I do not take my eyes off, ryan, and that's how I do not get dizzy when you do that, and I think that's like the trick to, like ice skaters and ballet dancers Like you find a stationary thing and you focus on that and you don't get dizzy. I don't know, but it's worked for for me. I think it's underrated. Always come off like that's just really fun yeah it's just pure simple fun. That's it. Nothing fancy about it, okay. So good to know.
Speaker 1:Good to know, all right. So again still in fantasy land. We're gonna be here a bit still. So dumbo, the flying elephant located in fantasy land. Soar high in the sky and see an elephant fly on a whimsical flight aboard Dumbo any high, all ages, slow ride, some spinning, and it's like what we were talking about earlier with the Aladdin magic carpets except this is Dumbo. There's more elephants to load than the magic carpets because it has two sets of the same thing and typically when, if it is a long line, you can go in a queue and wait in this indoor children's playground. However, currently, uh, from february 24 2025 until later spring of this year. Uh, they're refurbishing that at the moment, yeah, so just uh, letting everybody know that right now, um, but I put properly rated I agree, properly rated.
Speaker 2:It's dumbo. Yeah, it's the og right? Yes, you got to do dumbo, correct? Um, the play area we've gone in and just let the kids play. Yeah, you don't have to wait for the attraction, we've gone in. We're like the kids just want to play, like, oh okay, go ahead, but they'll give you a pager right when it's time and it's a good way to get out of the heat. You know, our kids are too big for this now.
Speaker 1:Right, but at the time At the time they were smaller.
Speaker 2:They just yeah, I think, properly rated. You know it's Dumbo, it's OG, more than that.
Speaker 1:It's a very busy day in the park, right so? Yeah, all right. So next the barnstormer, take flight above storybook circus storybook circus.
Speaker 2:That's the area.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's the area, yeah take flight above storybook circus with goofy in a homemade stunt airplane for a thrilling junior roller coaster ride. 35 inches or taller, so this one's even this is your first coaster yep, so even smaller little kids can ride this than the snow white one. Okay, so 35 inches or taller, small drops. It is a shorter ride, but again, this is like your first introductory type roller coaster ride. Um, those of you that have back problems might not want to do it, though it's not.
Speaker 1:I don't have back problems, but my back always hurts getting off this yeah, it kind of jerks you around a bit and you're like, oh, okay, well it's not padded either. Right, yep, so, but it's again. You're climbing aboard a wacky stunt plane and hold on tight as you take to the skies above Fantasyland, and I, but I put over what?
Speaker 2:Yeah, over what yeah?
Speaker 1:wow, yeah, you gotta explain this. I just I I don't know, I just it was a, I was a one and done basically I feel like yep, okay, but you're not a five-year-old kid no, exactly. But for some reason on this one. I'm not giving any leeway, I don't know. Yeah, just man, yeah, wow ruthless over here.
Speaker 2:Wow, sorry folks, so go ahead with yours I put properly rated, okay, I mean it's usually like 15.
Speaker 1:Yeah, wow, ruthless over here. Wow, sorry folks, so go ahead with yours.
Speaker 2:I put properly rated, Okay. I mean it's usually like 15, 20 minutes. It's not usually longer than that. It's a good coaster for kids. It's very well themed. Yeah, there's not a lot of hype on it. Therefore, it can't be overrated. You just don't like it? Well, they teach their own. I'd be curious to. I'm curious to hear what Johnny and Erica's going to rate this.
Speaker 1:Yeah, who knows you?
Speaker 2:never know with them, honestly so.
Speaker 1:I'm going to properly rate it. Okay, yeah, all right, sounds good, all right. Now we are headed to Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid, board a clamshell and become part ofriel's world on a musical adventure awash with scenes from the animated classic any height all ages. Slow ride and it's a song filled shellabration. Okay, what that's? What it says.
Speaker 2:A song filled shellabration because you're riding in a clamshell and you yeah, okay, good job, good job, disney, good job so your underwater adventure.
Speaker 1:It's taking you below the waves on a tour of Ariel's Gadgetville Grotto. You know you're watching Sebastian, you know you're seeing just all your favorite scenes and it takes you basically through your favorite scenes of the movie and I put on this one properly rated. Okay, okay, uh, the queue is is pretty well themed. We've talked, talked about it before. I think zach will probably touch on that here in a minute.
Speaker 1:Um, but I put properly rated because there it's a well lately, it's at least 30 minutes or more wait and the fact that you get to see all the scenes and this takes me back to five-year-old britney, basically so okay, yeah, I put underrated oh okay, yay, even better the queue is great.
Speaker 2:There's some great knots, 20 000 leagues under the sea. There's some hidden mickeys one you can only see for about five minutes once a year. Yeah, there's a hidden steamboat, willie, in here. The queue's great. I think the overall theming of prince eric's castle and this whole area they just did a really really good job with, yes, the theming here. They really did amazing. The ride itself. It just I'm not a big fan of the little itself. It just I'm not a big fan of the Little Mermaid, but it just makes me smile.
Speaker 1:Good, you corrected that.
Speaker 2:What do you?
Speaker 1:mean Because when you were like I'm not a big fan, Well, I'm just.
Speaker 2:I mean, it's about a mermaid, you know, like I'm a guy, I'm a 43 year old guy, Okay.
Speaker 1:And.
Speaker 2:I don't whatever.
Speaker 1:I don't really yeah, you're aging yourself 42, I don't really.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you're aging yourself 42. I don't really care of 42. Yet it doesn't matter, okay, anyways, I just and and Ursula scares me, I have to close my eyes. It's the scariest animatronic ever. Yes, I'm saying that as a 40 something year old man. It is terrifying. She has like 85 chins okay, it just scares me maybe not, but when we do not do this attraction, I kind of missed that we didn't do it right it just.
Speaker 2:Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but I think it's underrated. I don't think it's good. It's a lot of hype and I think it's better than people think it is yes, I would agree.
Speaker 1:I mean, it was better than what I was expecting.
Speaker 2:It was me too because I remember like we're gonna go in little mermaid yeah and we got stuck in the queue for like 45 minutes. My poor sister-in-law had her nephew fall asleep on him the whole time in the queue, which we'll see them tomorrow. Yay, um, that's why we're recording now, um, but yeah, I just and maybe it's just because of that experience- I don't know, but it was a lot better than I thought it was and I was like, oh, this is actually pretty good right.
Speaker 1:Yep, I agree. All right. Still in fantasy land. Moving on to enchanted tales, with bell, relive the magic of disney's beauty and the beast by taking part in her fairy tale. And it's you're alongside bell, herself any high all ages, a tale as old as time. You're stepping into bell and marisa's quaint country cottage and marvel at the charming decor. Next, tour Maurice's workshop, where you'll see his extensive inventive gadgets in a special enchanted mirror the beast gave to Belle. Say the magic words and the mirror comes to life, and then you're being transported into the beast's castle and you meet the enchantedrobe, and all of that. You are interacting, guests may volunteer for different parts, and so I put underrated I was hoping you'd put underrated.
Speaker 1:I put underrated. There was a lot more to this than I thought there would be. If I were like six, seven-year-old Brittany, I probably would have been too shy to volunteer, but at the same time if I got to hold like Bell's hand and meter and all of that stuff, I mean I would just have been ecstatic.
Speaker 2:You'd have been dressed as Bell after going to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique. Right yeah, you'd have been Belled out, yes.
Speaker 1:And so the theming of all of this, and just a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful job. I don't think you hear enough about this. I don't even know if people even know it's there half the time, we didn't know it was there for a while.
Speaker 2:Right, we're like oh, there's Bill's Cottage. Oh, that's an actual show. Oh, wow, didn't know that, yeah, so amazing.
Speaker 1:They did an amazing job with this. And this is another one, like that whole area, you know, like over there, like the cottage and then, like you know, when you're eating at, be Our Guest. Is that it? Yes, yes, I'm second guessing myself and, like Gaston's and all of that, like all the theming for Beauty and the Beast in Fantasyland, they did a really good job.
Speaker 2:They did an amazing job with the theming of it. I wouldn't underrate it as well. Okay, now I will say Beauty and the Beast was a classic. It is one of my favorite movies and the mirror effect in the I don't want to say pre-show kind of.
Speaker 1:Yes and no yeah.
Speaker 2:Is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen and I'm always one to like how do they do that? How do they figure it out? I can't figure it out. There's no video that explains it. It's incredible. And the show if you've got little like a five-year-old Brittany who loves Belle, they're going to love this show. It is. You know. They do get involved with the kids and bell does come in and hold their, their hands and get involved with them and I think if you know a little girl it loves bell, that's gonna make their trip, it'll make their year like I actually got to tell the story with bell right like that.
Speaker 2:What better thing can you do, right?
Speaker 1:so I think it's underrated, even coming from a 40 year old man underrated well, and for certain parts that-year-old man underrated Well, and for certain parts that they assign, like nights and stuff you know there were like dads and things going up there and helping too, and they were just all smiles. Everybody was having a good time. It's a good show.
Speaker 2:It is Go check it out even if you know you don't have little girls or little boys. Yes, truly amazing. The Imagineers nailed it, yeah.
Speaker 1:All right, we are leaving Fantasyland and going to Tomorrowland and to Tomorrowland Speedway.
Speaker 1:My favorite land this is 32 inches or taller, meant for all ages. Put the pedal to the metal in your very own hot rod and cruise along a scenic miniature motorway. So drivers start your engines, you're taking the wheel of a gas-powered car and strap yourself in for an exciting, scenic drive. Now, if you have some kids that are a little bit smaller, as long as you meet those height requirements, the adults are probably going to have to do the gas pedal while the kids steer that kind of thing. But it is designed for those smaller racers, and so I put over I went back and forth on this.
Speaker 2:I used to say underrated. Okay. Because our kids didn't care how to drive. They just wanted to bang around and have fun. Now they actually want to drive. Well, right, it's just boring. Now, yeah, this is like going on a drive and I think that's where mine has changed too, a little bit Now, like no one will still like, bang, bang bang a little bit.
Speaker 1:A little bit you know, and I think this is one Disneyland. Way better. Disneyland's is so much better, so I think that's why I'm putting this one at over.
Speaker 2:I put properly Okay, it's usually 15, 20 minutes. If it's more than that, it's a very busy day in the park. Yeah. And so yeah, I say properly I could have gone overrated too. But again, if you've got little kids that just want to bang around and have fun, this is a very fun. It could be underrated for you. Right. Because you come off this track and having fun and laughing.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's making those memories with your kids, yeah, but now it's just going on a drive. Now it's just what it's like for us now, yeah, yeah, all right. So we're gonna be in tomorrowland for a while now, and so, uh, tron light cycle run speed across a world with no horizons in a high stakes race based on the disney sci-fi film tron legacy. You must be 48 inches or taller. It's a thrill ride big drops, dark. Um, you definitely have that attraction. Photography I can't speak too much on this one because I personally have not ridden it. I have heard some mixed things on this one. Zach can share more, but and some of the mixed things I've heard is sometimes for how long you wait, no matter how you got in line, like they used to do virtual queue and everything like the rides just over so quickly. But I can't share because I haven't experienced it. So, zach, go ahead.
Speaker 2:Okay, so those are very valid criticisms. This is a. What is it? 90 seconds, 100 seconds, something like that Like it is not a long ride. A long ride. However, this is the launch, and the outside part in the vehicle is, unlike anything else. You've ever rollercoaster, you've ever done right. Right. The way it can get long 60 plus minutes. The queue here sucks. There's no story to it, but the music outside is amazing. Like it's just over the top Amazing music. I do love that. With all that said, I went properly rated. Okay.
Speaker 2:Am I waiting 60 minutes for this? If I've done it, if I haven't done? It before yeah, now I'm getting a Lightning Lane single pass for it, so I'm not waiting to 60 minutes, but I still want to do this. Yeah. Is it worth the hype Because it is so unique? I agree it is Okay. It is properly rated, in my opinion bordering on overrated. But the fact that it is so fast and the right vehicle is so different and it is unlike anything else you've done, that's why I'm going properly rated okay.
Speaker 1:Do you wish it were longer? Though I don't, or you don't know if they could have done it that way.
Speaker 2:I don't know if you, because the story of the attraction. I don't know if you could have done it longer. I wish they may have made the queue better, but again, I don't know how they could have interacted more with the queue. Okay. If the queue was better again, I don't mind waiting in a 60 minute queue if it's a good queue. Right, this one sucks.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think they could have done a better job with the queue. Okay, but properly rated. Do it once and then just get multi-passes. It is worth the hype because it's so unique. If it was like any other coaster and you just sat in it and it did this, I might say overrated.
Speaker 1:All right.
Speaker 2:But the vehicle.
Speaker 1:It's just so different.
Speaker 2:It's so different, especially at night. Whole other level. Do this at night. It is so nice.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right night it is so nice. Okay, all right now. Space mountain blast off on a rip-roaring rocket into the furthest reaches of outer space on this roller coaster ride in the dark. 44 inches or taller. So kids, tweens, teens, adults, thrill ride.
Speaker 4:Big drops, again dark when you're in the dark, it feels like it is, though, so you're zooming through the.
Speaker 1:It feels like it is, though. So you're zooming through the galaxy, dipping green into the inky blackness as a futuristic soundtrack echoes all around you. You're flying past shooting stars and celestial satellites and all of that good stuff. So Zach has talked about this ride time and time again, and the queue and Star Tunnel and all of that stuff. Star Tunnel. So I put properly. Thank you, I put properly thank you, you're welcome. I do prefer the one in disneyland. I like the way you sit in that one better than the one here.
Speaker 2:But I put properly well, I don't like sitting next to people. Um, as much as I talk about this right now, I I love it. I agree, properly rated. It's not over, it's not under, it's properly rated. Always has usually a 45 to 60 minute wait I love.
Speaker 2:I'm not nostalgic about this right Cause I didn't write it as a kid, but I'm nostalgic about the nostalgia of the right. Does that make sense? Yes, I love the music. I love the theming to it, the retro 80s, early you know, late 80s, early 90s theming to it. I love that. I love the queue. I love the details in the queue. I love all the Easter eggs. Is it the fastest coaster? Is it the most thrilling coaster? No, but every time I'm always smiling and just having a great time on this coaster. The overall attraction I just love. I know eventually it will get refurbed, so I just want to enjoy this for what it is now. I love just the nostalgia of the nostalgia. Okay, properly rated. I want to go underrated but I can't because it's usually got a long wait and I don't mind waiting 60 minutes in the Star Tunnel. Right.
Speaker 2:I just don't Okay. I'm good, so properly rated. I love, love, love Space Mountain. This may be one of my favorite attractions in Walt Disney World, especially Magic Kingdom.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm, okay, all right. Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Movers yes, embark on a 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland aboard this mass transit system of the future Any height, all ages, slow, ride, move, move above and beyond. Board an elevated tram for a leisurely voyage through Tomorrowland. During your narrated tour, go behind the scenes of attractions like Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger, spin, space Mountain and Star Traders retail shop, and you also see like models of Progress City that was a prototype for Epcot, and you get different views of the castle while you're on this as well.
Speaker 1:So, um, I have put underrated agreed underrated I don't think you know you're not waiting long in this. I mean, it's just constantly moving. You're constantly boarding people and deboarding people and everything and um, you know the views you get. It's a chance to relax, take it all in in appreciate Tomorrowland a little bit more Again, see different views of the castle as well. We've said it time and time again I wish you could get a pass like oh, let me stay on one more time. One more ride. Yep, yep, so underrated.
Speaker 2:I agree, especially at night. This is amazing at night. I remember our first time we went and I was talking to my brother. I was like what is that he goes? Oh, it just takes you around. Adventure. Uh front, I can't talk takes you around tomorrow. I'm like that's it just takes you around, he goes. Yeah. I'm like that's stupid man. I'm gonna go back to 2019, zach, and smack him in the face, yeah but you didn't know, didn't know, you didn't know this is.
Speaker 2:it's just a great. Everything you said said love it. Do it at night, Do it during the day. Just tell the cast member pass. I'm just going to stay on. Yeah, you can't kick me off. See what they say it's great, completely underrated, just love it. Yeah, everything you said, love it.
Speaker 1:Yep, all right. Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. Travel through the 20th century and marvel at the evolution of technology. During this classic audio animatronic show Any high, all ages, you're following an American family over four generations of progress and watch technology transform their lives during each era. Learn how the technological marvels of that particular day and age made life more comfortable and paved the way for unimaginable innovations. You hear the song there is a great, big, beautiful tomorrow, and so this one Tread carefully I put properly.
Speaker 1:I feel there's certain scenes, especially the last one, that maybe could be updated slightly more, just because, again, technology is always changing. You know they have tried to make updates here and there. I think they need to update just again a little bit, but I always enjoy it. It is a chance to get out of the heat as well. You're on here for a little while. To get out of the heat as well. You're on here for a little while. You know it's something I don't necessarily have to do every time, but maybe at least every other time.
Speaker 2:I hate that you mute me and I can't reach that far to mute you. Sometimes I need Johnny's no button.
Speaker 1:We tend to write it almost every time. Now, me and Nolan wrote it. It without you, I wrote it, watched it, whatever without you, the last time it's because you two were having a tantrum anyway, you needed to time out yeah, anyways, it's, it's one. We don't do it necessarily every time, but it's it's kind of like what zach was saying with the little mermaid earlier when you don't do it, you feel like you've missed something. Yeah, I went underrated.
Speaker 2:Of course you did. Of course.
Speaker 1:I did.
Speaker 2:I do agree the last scene could use some updating. But again, we've talked about this before. What are you going to update it to? I know that's the thing right. Leave the other scenes, leave the turn of the century, leave those, because I think they're very important in the telling of progress Right. Right.
Speaker 2:So yeah, underrated Everything you said, except you know, I guess if you have to get out of the heat, it's a great 20 minute show. Love it. I love the. The, the old grease. Smell of it, I don't know, I just always that smell, just sticks with me. Smell of it, I don't know, I just always that smell just sticks with me, okay.
Speaker 1:If you've been on it, you know what I'm talking about, but it is, I mean, and it's interesting to to see some of the contraptions and stuff they used, you know, and yeah there was turn.
Speaker 2:I mean, it was like state-of-the-art for them. I know it's really cool yeah yeah, all right.
Speaker 1:So now astro orb again. At the timing of this recording, it is currently being refurbished. It's supposed to open later this summer, in 2025. So, astro Orbiter, it's any height, all ages. Slower ride. It's a. You're piloting a spaceship high in the sky amid a gleaming constellation of planets and, yeah, you are pretty high up there.
Speaker 2:Really high up there. You have to take an. Are pretty high up there really high up there.
Speaker 1:You have to take an elevator to get up there. Um, sometimes the wait time can be longer just because of that whole process it's a very slow load and unload. That's the thing yeah, a lot higher than I thought it would be actually like it looks high up there, but then when you're on it and you're tilting a little bit a certain way, it's like okay, if you're not big on heights, um, but anyway it I put overrated I put properly rated okay, um, I want to do it at night well, I'm not doing it again okay, fair
Speaker 2:enough wait again. It's like a 30 minute wait usually, but a lot of that is just loading and unloading. Yeah, so it's usually not that long of a line. There's usually not a lot of hype around it. No, I don't you know don't hear much about it, so I'm not properly rated. Okay, all right, moving on All right.
Speaker 1:Next is Buzz.
Speaker 2:Lightyear.
Speaker 1:Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.
Speaker 2:Now it is supposed to get some love and updates.
Speaker 1:It is, uh, maybe later this year. Was it later this year or early next year? Um, so that was just recently announced. It is currently open. Right now, though, fire your laser to earn points and defeat the evil emperor, zerg, as you journey through a galactic space battle. Any height, all ages, slow ride, a little bit of spinning, um, you know, not. Today, zerg, buzz lightyear's arch nemesis from toy story 2, is stealing batteries from helpless toys, and so you're boarding this star cruiser and you know you're trying to aim at these targets, and all of that, um. It can be super fun for kids. However, there's another ride similar to this um in hollywood studios that I prefer over Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and this one always has a super long line, and I think once there's some love and refurbishment to it, I will try it again, but right now I'm going to say it's overrated.
Speaker 2:I agree, overrated for now. Yeah, so they're going to be doing some refurbing on it. You talked about that. What they're really? Yeah, so they're going to be doing some refurbing on it. You talked about that. What they're really going to do is they're taking the laser guns and you can move them around instead of just being stationary on the attraction, which you can do in Disneyland. Okay.
Speaker 2:So I think that will make it a little better. And again, we went on this when the kids were smaller and didn't really know what to do, and they did not have a good time on this. Yeah, um, so when it gets redone we will definitely go on it again and maybe our rating will change, but yeah, but it's very well themed, very. You know you're right, in toy story the buzz like your stuff. So yeah, very well themed, but for now, with the weight, I'm going to overrate it okay, all right, all right.
Speaker 1:Monsters inc laugh floor participate in a hilarious gag, tastic, interactive comedy show starring monsters inc. And company. So it's a show any height, all ages. Um, it's, you know, meant to be a funny show, interactive. These scare actors love to engage the audience. Don't be surprised if you become part of the show. And so I put overrated I did as well.
Speaker 2:Overrated no, I put properly rated oh okay, I didn't put overrated because there's not any hyper on the show there used to be yeah but there's not anymore because I didn't think it was that good. I think the turtle talk with crush is much better.
Speaker 1:Yes, I would agree. Turtle Talk with Crush is just always hilarious.
Speaker 2:But this I just did not find the couple times we did do it I did not find it was that funny yeah.
Speaker 1:Sometimes they ask you ahead of time to submit things to you and it's not as much on the spot. I don't know how it is now. Yeah, but yeah.
Speaker 2:But I wanted to say overrated. But there's no hype around this at all, right, so I couldn't say overrated, I can't say underrated, because it's not that great, so I just went properly rated, okay.
Speaker 1:So all right before we jump to the next. So you had one more on here. I added another after that oh my gosh, so we're almost done.
Speaker 1:Almost done so two more. This next one is hanging out in the hub, people watching in front of the castle. So we've talked about this a lot. You know, just hang out, take it all in. You know the smells of the popcorn carts that will lead you to buying popcorn. Looking at the castle, if there happens to be a show going on, okay, enjoy the stage show, but really just people watch. To be a show going on, okay, enjoy the stage show, but really just people watch. Um, you know whether you are seeing someone getting proposed to, or uh, or family members that are surprising each other, because that's, that's one of the best that I've enjoyed seeing. You know, because sometimes they are trying to surprise other family members didn't tell them they were going to be there and then they meet in front of the castle and capturing those moments, seeing those moments.
Speaker 2:Did you see that reel that Disney Parks put up about this daughter getting her picture taken in front of the castle and then her mom goes oh, you need one more thing, and it was a button that said big sister on it.
Speaker 1:Oh, I didn't know that.
Speaker 2:And the daughter just lost it.
Speaker 1:Oh, that's the kind of stuff that happens. Yeah, daughter, just like lost it. Oh, that's like that's the kind of stuff that happens, yeah, yeah. So I put underrated because you don't really hear about people just wanting to hang out in that area, but it's an amazing area to just take in all the sights and smells and everything.
Speaker 2:So I put properly rated oh, okay because I don't like sitting around 25 000 people. People, well see.
Speaker 1:I loved it when the parks had just been reopening from the pandemic and everything, and so there weren't so many people and you really could just take it all in.
Speaker 2:But I do agree with you Like. This is the castle I have read is photographed 30,000 times, at least a day. I believe, it A day. Yeah, there's so much magic that happens here. It is an icon and I can't wait to write about it in the book. That's my last thing I'm writing about, but, yeah, I just don't like being around that many people, so I put properly ready, because there's always a lot of people there. But I do understand, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So the other thing that I added now, I know you know there's shows and there's parades and all that, but we would be talking to you for hours still. But I did want to put this one in here because, happily ever after fireworks.
Speaker 2:Oh, how did I forget that?
Speaker 1:You know it, it left for a little while and it came back, so that tells you right there.
Speaker 2:They got rid of it, yeah, with a horrible show.
Speaker 1:But the fact that they listened and brought it back says a lot. So, happily, ever after fireworks Do not miss this firework extravaganza. I mean, there's lights, lasers, special effects, projections on Main Street. It's about 18 minutes. You don't have to wait for two hours to hold a spot for this?
Speaker 1:No, no there are so many places to see it, are you going to necessarily get the best view? No, not necessarily. But if you're right up close to the castle, yes, you're going to see the fireworks and the projections on the castle more clear, but you're going to miss so much more.
Speaker 2:I have been up there close on the castle, more clear, but you're gonna miss so much more I have.
Speaker 4:I have been up there close to the castle, me and ryan just kind of ended up there you do not see the fireworks?
Speaker 2:that well? Oh okay, you really don't, because you're focused on, like, just the castle. You don't see the fireworks that well.
Speaker 1:So you know, go a little further down main street, you know, and watch it, take it all in, you know. Uh, yes, you may not see the projections on the castle quite as clearly, but you're seeing the whole show. But this it just, it really captures the heart, you know, and like the heroes and the story that it tells and the and the beloved songs of different movies. And what is that one? I say this every time and I forget the one that you like so much, the from Hercules. Why?
Speaker 2:am I going? You always put me on the spot. I can't think.
Speaker 1:And every time I've had to look it up after.
Speaker 2:Hercules song. Go the distance, go the distance, yes.
Speaker 1:Yes, and so it just really gets you in the feels and happily ever after, like that song itself too, and so just an amazing story had to include it. People love too, and so just an amazing story had to include it. People love it again.
Speaker 2:They got rid of it brought it back. I think properly rated. Because of that. Okay, I was gonna say you can't say under or over rated, because there's always like 50 000 people there, yeah, so you have to say properly there's no other, no other. I completely agree. Yeah, properly rated. I like to watch it by the very back by the train station, that way I can sneak out before everybody. I like to watch it by the very back by the train station, that way I can sneak out before everybody else tries to get out to the monorail or the boats or the buses.
Speaker 1:Right, I get that. I mean, and yeah, it just depends on what you want to, what you want to see, I mean, and there's the backside of the castle and everything like further down in Fantasyland and stuff that you can watch.
Speaker 2:Ryan and I timed it really great one time and we watched it as we were coming over the second lift hill of Big Thunder Mountain. Yeah, great Like it was a party on that coaster. It was so much fun. Yeah. All right. So we've got a new five-star review on Apple Podcast. So we had a Facebook review last week. We've got a five-star review on Apple Podcast this week and it's titled Love, love, love from PizzaUE8200.
Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:All right, so thank you for that review. We really do appreciate it. We're going to go on to the Instagram polls now. We asked you, the the listener, what y'all thought of some of these attractions. Are they over, under or properly rated? And our first one is the people mover, britney. What do you think was the winner over?
Speaker 1:under or properly rated. I'm hoping you're looking at it right now. I am, but even before looking at it I was hoping under and it looks like 67 percent agree, overwhelmingly agree.
Speaker 2:Who's the 11% that think it's overrated?
Speaker 1:I don't know Wow.
Speaker 2:I don't know.
Speaker 1:But 67% say under 22% say properly and 11% say over 11%.
Speaker 2:One person Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah.
Speaker 2:All right.
Speaker 1:The next one. We asked the same question for Space Mountain. You share?
Speaker 2:Space Mountain. All right, we got 33% overrated, so y'all are blocked. 11% underrated and 56% properly rated. So I think everybody agrees it is a properly rated attraction. Yeah yeah, the people that say it's overrated, y'all can do a fun. Another podcast. Sorry, that was you.
Speaker 1:Make us remember.
Speaker 2:This podcast is over. I was like I think I did it differently than what I did. Brittany is now blocked.
Speaker 1:No On the show. I did properly and as I was doing it on here because, yes, we will contribute to this. Stop muting me. I think what I did on the outline was my true feelings of properly, but on here I did over. I'm not the only one, though. You're not meeting me, okay, good. All right, next is Haunted Mansion. All right, next is Haunted Mansion.
Speaker 2:If you're still with us.
Speaker 1:Haunted Mansion 89% say properly, 11% say under and zero say over.
Speaker 2:See that. Yeah, that's a beloved yes, Beloved yes.
Speaker 1:And then the other one. The last one that we asked is Peter Pan's Flight. So 67% say over, 0% say under and 33% say properly, fair enough, mm-hmm, all right.
