Hey everyone, zach here. Unfortunately we are not going to have a new episode for you this week. We had a very busy soccer schedule weekend. We had a family emergency that was thrown in the middle of that. Our allergies here in Tennessee are just killing us right now and with all of that combined, I'm sure you can hear it in my voice we just did not get around to doing an episode this week, but we didn't want to leave y'all with nothing. So we are going to replay an older episode, one of our favorites, episode number 90, which attractions you should rope drop in Walt Disney World. So we hope you enjoy it. And unfortunately again, we're so sorry we were unable to get a new episode out this week. But next week we will be back and we're going to be getting ready to go to Walt Disney World. So we'll talk to you next week, thank you.
Speaker 2:Hello and welcome to Circular Parks Podcast, episode number 90. Today we will be talking attractions to rope drop in Walt Disney World. There is so much to see and do. We are here to help guide you through, but before we do that we must talk Disney merch. So this week on Disney merch, you know, if you're talking rope drop you might as well talk about magic bands. So if you go check out shopdisneycom, they have a lot of new magic bands out there, especially the Magic Band Plus from the new Little Mermaid, alice in Wonderland it's a limited edition for the Disney 100,. Pandora you've got a lot of new. Mickey and Minnie for Pass Holders. Pandora You've got a lot of new.
Speaker 3:Mickey and Minnie For pass holders you have ones from Adventureland, Okay. I have a beef about the Adventureland one, okay.
Speaker 2:Hold on, but there are so many new ones out there, so again you can't talk rope drop without usually including Magic Bands. So go check all those out at ShopDisneycom.
Speaker 3:Should I go on my rant or should I let?
Speaker 2:it go Might as well. You've already started.
Speaker 3:So I was wanting to get the Adventureland Pass Holder Magic Band Plus when I was down there a couple weeks ago Nowhere in the parks.
Speaker 2:I'm shocked.
Speaker 3:They had the Fantasyland one, which I could care less about. The Fantasyland one, but not the Adventureland one.
Speaker 2:I know you had your heart set on it. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3:And I wasn't going to get us Magic Band Pluses for Disneyland, talked me, walked me through the ticketing process for Disneyland.
Speaker 2:It's stupid.
Speaker 3:It's stupid. So they're like almost forcing you to get Magic Band Pluses. So that's what we did, and we just got basic color Magic.
Speaker 2:Band Pluses. Well, and then now we'll have them when we go back to Disney World also.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so thank you everybody. Episode number 90. Happy Mother's Day to everybody. Brittany, did you have a really good Mother's Day?
Speaker 2:I did, it was, it was. I was a mother because we were at soccer field.
Speaker 3:Another weekend at the soccer field Last weekend of the spring.
Speaker 2:Yes, it was good though. It was great Very hot and humid day. But at the end of their first game that day they brought the moms roses and it was just good being with other moms that are going through a lot of the same things that I am with travel, soccer and working and juggling other things.
Speaker 3:So it was a great mother's day y'all have really gotten to be close this spring. Yes, all the moms have, so it was really good. And yeah, summer punched us in the face sunday, didn't it?
Speaker 2:oh gosh, it just came. That's the humidity. Yeah, it was the humidity.
Speaker 3:That's how summer happens in tennessee. Our springs are horrible. It's like cool, cool, like one beautiful week, cool, rainy, and then summer's like bam, 90 degrees, 100 humidity, right in your face, yes, and it just happens and here we are yeah, but yeah, uh. Nolan was playing up in an age group their team and one of the moms said if they didn't win the championship then it wasn't worth it being our mother's day but she was kidding, she was getting away anyway.
Speaker 2:But yeah, it was a good Sunday it was. It was. And then at the end, you know, we got to go see my mom for a bit, so the boys got to see, you know, one of their grandmas, and so it was a good day, yeah.
Speaker 3:We're going to Disneyland in a week and a half.
Speaker 2:Yes, I still hasn't hit you yet like right before soccer it'll hit you like two days before, once you're off, I gotta.
Speaker 3:I have a short week next week yes, nice yes, all right. So we don't know. We haven't really done any research on disneyland we're kind of going into it with blinders on.
Speaker 3:We do. I mean, we have ideas of what we're going to do and we have our uh, dining stuff booked, but if any of y'all are Disneyland people, send us some suggestions to do Because we don't really know. We don't know, like we know the churros right and we know the shawarma, but other than that, like we don't really know of a lot of things in like snacks in Disneyland that we have to get.
Speaker 2:Yeah. So let us know what's special out there that you have enjoyed. You know whether it's snacks, beverages, places to just kind of sit and relax, even.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I don't even know what's in downtown Disney. We're staying at the Disneyland Hotel, which we'll do more of. We'll be planning it next week. But yeah, so you need Disneyland people out there. Just shoot us some emails, comments at circleofparkscom, or message us on Facebook, instagram at circleofparks and yeah, we'd love to hear that. Yes, all right, let's get into this.
Speaker 2:We're gonna break it down by park Magic Kingdom, hollywood Studios, epcot Center and Animal Kingdom yes, and as a reminder, since we've been talking for a little bit, it's what attractions to rope drop in Walt Disney World?
Speaker 3:I don't think we're rope dropping much anymore.
Speaker 2:Well, we're not.
Speaker 3:But what you should do.
Speaker 2:What you should try, and I've listed quite a few options for each one because you know it varies with what your interests might be it does.
Speaker 3:And I think in Disneyland we are going to, because I've heard that, since it's a local park, it gets busier throughout the day, so the morning time is the best time to go get stuff done. Okay, so I think we will be rope dropping. Disneyland and california adventure, right? But yeah, all right, let's start with magic kingdom, britney. What are you starting off with?
Speaker 2:so I have a total of five. Five wow again, depending on who you are.
Speaker 3:First one, uh, space mountain that's the one and only correct answer for this park.
Speaker 2:Space mountain is the correct, only correct answer for rope dropping at magic kingdom so space mountain, if you've been listening to this show, you've heard us say that that's the one we go to because so many others are going to other rides that I will mention here shortly, if Zach doesn't. And it's just a little bit less crowded when you're over there, kind of in your holding area before they let you all the way in.
Speaker 3:It's not crazy like Fantasyland? Yeah, fantasyland gets nuts. Yeah, tomorrowland is a little more chill.
Speaker 2:So, and you know they do some fun yeah Tomorrowland. They do some fun trivia while you're waiting. I won, and it's just, you know a good time, and I have ridden Space Mountain a couple of times, but now it's Zach and the boys, and then there's a Joffrey's right next to it, so I'll get me a coffee drink and I'll grab them donuts to have after, and it's just kind of come. You know our routine, but that's the one that we rope drop. Yes, space Mountain, and it's just kind of come. You know our routine.
Speaker 3:But that's the one that we rope drop. Yes, space Mountain is the number one rope drop for me, and there's also something about being in Tomorrowland before it gets just crazy busy in there, right, you hear the music more. The music and the clickety clack of I know I say that weird, but the clickety clack of the people mover. It's just something about being in Tomorrowland before it gets just stupid, crazy.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and very peaceful almost.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, we're always like one of the first in the morning.
Speaker 3:Yes, it's very yes.
Speaker 2:But yes, so. So that is one, because you know that ride the line can get backed up Great cue. Yeah, zach thinks so, but did you meet me? No, I did not oh I thought when I said that I saw you now she's muted so, um, but yes, space mountain. And for those that are, you know, maybe like me and you're like I really don't want to do space mountain, but everybody else in your family does take advantage of that joffrey's being right there.
Speaker 2:So get you a big donut and some joffrey's coffee well, I don't need the donut, but I get the coffee.
Speaker 3:But yeah, next on my list and this is one that we don't do. But if, if you're trying to get stuff done and you do not want to buy an individual paid lightning lane seven dwarfs mine train, that was next on my list. We really do. We meant to be together. Yeah, let me guess what's next on your list well, let's talk about seven doors, does it? Start with the peter and end with the flight no oh, wow, okay, all right, no, seven doors.
Speaker 3:Mine train is a great one to rope drop. If you got little kids that want to do it, or if it's a must do for you, or if you're just don't want to spend the money for the need to pay lightning lane, I get it, but this is when you're going to want to rope drop. Even when I was there a few weeks ago when it was like a slow day in the parks, it was still an 80 minute wait.
Speaker 3:Right, yes, and that's when, like, we have tried to rope drop before, but that's where, like so many people are going, and on the days where we attempted it, it happened to be down and that's when we went to space mountain and we were like oh, this is a much better idea, because there was still nobody over in tomorrowland, right, and we just walked right on to space mountain yes, and that's how that tradition started, exactly because that was after two times seven dwarfs happening when we tried it first thing in the morning yep, all right.
Speaker 3:So what's next on your list? I have pirates of the caribbean actually I don't think that's open 30 minutes prior though is it not? Adventureland is not, it's just fantasy land.
Speaker 2:And tomorrow okay, well, at normal opening time, normal opening time, adventureland does open. Yes, I would go to pirates first, because that one can get lengthy pirates or you jungle cruise I'm getting to jungle in a little bit. I'm talking pirates.
Speaker 3:Yes, it can so can't go wrong with pirates no, sorry.
Speaker 2:So yes, it may be not your if you're staying at a disney resort and rope dropping. Maybe not that, but yes for the actual park opening, because I mean there have been times where pirates has been over an hour it can get over an hour. You know a lot of times it's not, but there are times where it is, or if it maybe went down for a short time at some point during the day and it gets backed up and the smell of that pirate water will wake you up too and you know it's a great ride.
Speaker 2:It's one that we didn't do the first time or two that we were there. But now, you know, I don't know Like we skipped it one time and it just didn't feel right.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and we need to do another Mistakes We've Made episode.
Speaker 2:Because that was one of them. Yeah.
Speaker 3:But yeah, that was a mistake we made. We didn't do Pirates of the Island. It's become one of our favorite attractions. When I was there a few weeks ago, I had to do it and yeah, it was a great one. Yep, next on next to my list is one we don't do, but it's one that, if you don't want to wait on a long line or pay for Genie Plus Peter Pan's Flight, yes, and I suggest definitely going through the queue for this ride.
Speaker 2:Yes, correct you know we went through the queue once. Absolutely loved everything about it.
Speaker 3:Very interactive. It's one of the top queues in Magic Kingdom. Yes, but then we did do a lightning lane one other time, the past couple of times, and it was like why would we wait? Yeah, why would we waste a lightning lane on it?
Speaker 2:Well, it was more, it didn't seem long enough.
Speaker 3:No, it did not.
Speaker 2:Because the queue. You don't realize how much the queue adds to it, so it's still a good ride.
Speaker 3:But the queue, I think, is just what completes it. So the queue takes you from wendy's house and bedroom and then when you get on to the attraction and you go to tomorrowland, it feels like you really are going to neverland, sorry when you go to neverland, it really does feel like you because you've been through the bedroom and you've seen all this stuff in the in the queue and that sets your mind ready to go to neverland right where when you skip the queue.
Speaker 2:I don't know, it just felt too short it just felt it didn't feel right.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I agree yeah all right, that's all I got what's on your list? Uh jungle cruise jungle cruise is a good one. This one can get very long and that queue can get really hot yes. Yes, even though it's shaded.
Speaker 2:It's still. It's very hot, it's very well. You're in the jungle down there. It's outside, yeah, so it's very muggy down there it is muggy, but now you know they do a great job of keeping you entertained.
Speaker 3:The cast members are. The skippers are amazing.
Speaker 2:Yes, I mean, they tell jokes after jokes. You know this is before you even board the boat. You know just to keep you entertained while you're in the queue. And yeah, I say you know the earlier in the day.

Speaker 1:Reach out to Erica at Travel Planner Erica dot com, or follow her on Facebook and Instagram at Travel Planner Erica.
Speaker 2:This one the better, or maybe later in the evening. I want to do it at night.
Speaker 3:I think that'd be completely different at night.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think it'd be so cool. We did it in the evening one time.
Speaker 3:Yeah, but it wasn't like dark. We haven't done it when it's dark out that would be so cool. But yeah, the cast members here of all the cast members that I've seen working attractions, they just seem like they are having a ball, like they're not even working. They're just goofing off with their friends, having fun with the guests and just genuinely enjoying their day and having just a blast doing it yes, I agree all right. What's next on your list, since you had five?
Speaker 2:well, this one it's not open, or I don't think it's a no, it's not open during rope drop, but it yeah.
Speaker 3:It's definitely one that I would try to get on it opens at the park opening, not the 30 minutes early for early park entry.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I would try to get on that too, if you're already on that side like yes you know. So like maybe you say rope drop, jungle cruise, maybe go to pirates and then make your way to big thunder. That's a good call.
Speaker 3:Yeah, because you're already going that way, definitely, yeah, big thunder can't go wrong another great time to do it is maybe go to Pirates and then make your way to Big.
Speaker 2:Thunder, that's a good call yeah.
Speaker 3:Because you're already going that way, definitely. Yeah, big Thunder can't go wrong. Another great time to do it is during the fireworks. Yeah, that's just such a great time. But I like Happily Ever After, so I don't think I'll be able to skip Happily Ever After now and go do attractions, because I, I don't know. All right. Next park we're going to is Hollywood Studios.
Speaker 2:Now, this one is very hard To decide.
Speaker 3:Which To decide, because there's some heavy hitters in Hollywood Studios. So this one's tough, this one's going to be what you and your family are going to this one, you're going to have to sit down and really talk about what do you want to rope drop? Yes, because this park's stacked with attractions.
Speaker 2:It is. What do you?
Speaker 3:have first on your list. Well, again I have five, I've got four, because I left one out because it's down for refurbishment right now.
Speaker 2:Well, that would be my fifth one.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so I dropped. I was going to put Rock and Roller Coaster in there because me and Ryan rope dropped that last time, but I dropped it out because it's under refurbishment and I don't think there's an opening date.
Speaker 2:It was number five on my list, but others. There are still four others and it would be tough. It really truly depends on what you want to do. The first two were tough to choose between. One is Rise of the Resistance.
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 2:Yes, because that one it can be very lengthy, or you can do a paid lightning lane. However, if you want to go ahead and hit all the Star Wars stuff first thing in the morning, then why not go ahead and start with Rise of the Resistance?
Speaker 3:Rock and Roller Coaster has not been given a date to reopen. It just says summer 2023.
Speaker 2:Okay so.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah. So Rise of the Resistance is a great one. If you don't want to, I'm pretty much going to repeat everything you just said, so go ahead and continue. Oh yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean, it's a great ride and if you want to start your day on that side of the park and go ahead and see everything in galaxy's edge, then rise of the resistance. You know, and I mean but plan for it to take even if you're one of the first ones on there like an hour.
Speaker 3:Well, about 30 minutes. The attraction itself takes about 30 minutes once you get in there with BB-8 and Rey yeah. So I mean I would plan 20 to 45 minutes Right To do this.
Speaker 2:Yes, but I mean Grey. I mean it will set the tone for your day. If you're a huge Star Wars fan or not, it's an amazing ride. Again, it's also a paid lightning lane, but if you could start your day with it, it then. That was the first one that I wrote down so I start, I'm going a different direction.
Speaker 3:Okay, we're going down sunset boulevard and, um, we're gonna go to get a little scared, we're gonna go to tower of terror. I think it's just classic hollywood studios. The twilight zone, tower of terror is a great attraction through and through. The queue, the storyline, the, the ride itself is just so iconic, so good it's going to wake you up.
Speaker 2:Yes, because we did that once.
Speaker 3:And right when you walk up, there's a Joffrey right outside the gift shop, Joffrey's Coffee.
Speaker 2:I didn't need it, though I was shaking.
Speaker 3:It's just iconic. It's a great way to start the day. I want to do it at night too. I didn't need it, though I was shaking. It's just iconic. It's a great way to start the day. I want to do it at night too.
Speaker 2:I haven't done it at night. Yeah, and I mean, and even though that's not my favorite ride, it was number three on my list yeah, so you know, and again, I posted that picture of you first time doing Twilight Tower.
Speaker 3:I know I hate that picture, it's so awesome.
Speaker 2:And again, this comes down to what are your interests. You know what is your priority, what do you want to make sure or start your day with? So, but that, that again was one of my top three choices. And you know, you're like, like Zach was saying, it's like an iconic ride. Yep, Yep.
Speaker 3:What's next on your list?
Speaker 2:So if you have younger ones, Toy Story Mania.
Speaker 3:Not the Alien Swirling Saucers, no, no, slinky Dog's next on my list. Oh, you got Toy Story Mania. Yeah, sorry. Yeah, that's a great, I have them on my list too. Are you not listening to them? I am not. No, yeah, toy Story Mania.
Speaker 2:At least I Toy Story Mania Awesome, awesome, awesome. Love the queue, love it. So many details.
Speaker 3:Great queue.
Speaker 2:And I mean like toys, like you're meant to be the size of a toy too, so all these toys are around you. That I mean like you have like Etch-A-Sketch and different board games.
Speaker 3:Mr Potato Head.
Speaker 2:And you have the animatronic of Mr Potato Head entertaining you and I mean just there's so much to look at in this queue. And then, as you keep going further, and before you board your little vehicle, you know it's like you're going in Andy's room, so you're like entering this huge door, bedroom door, and so it's just everything about it. I love me and nolan, you know we've ridden this more times than I can count, it seems. You know, but it's, it's, it's so fun I would agree it's a great one.
Speaker 3:We've rope dropped it before great attraction. I went slinky dog dash. This is when you want to rope drop for uh, for your family's a great one, and that one's next on my list it can get a very long wait during the day, and the lightning lanes for this go almost immediately.
Speaker 3:So if you don't want to spend the money on lightning lane or waste time trying to get it, this is a good one. To rope drop, because most people are going to be either going to here or to Galaxy's Edge, and then you can do it at night too.
Speaker 2:We always love this at night. We love it at night. Our oldest Ryan, I think, really, really loves it at night.
Speaker 3:It's so cool at night.
Speaker 2:And it's just, you know, like we've said before, as long as you're in line before park closing then you'll get on there. So you know it could be posted. You know, an hour, hour and a half wait, but if you're in line like a couple minutes before park closing it's not gonna.
Speaker 3:It won't be that long at that point but yeah, definitely one you want to do if it's a priority for you and your family.
Speaker 2:Slinky dog dash is a great one yeah it's a rope drop yes, because it it stays busy throughout the day and this is such a smooth coaster.
Speaker 3:It's a great, you know coaster for toddlers that are, you know, three to four, I think three and four year olds are are appropriately, it's a good one to start to start with yeah all right, what's next I got?
Speaker 2:that's all I got for hollywood studio yeah, because we already talked about the other one that's not open right now yeah, so, uh, we're going to epcot, so I think we're done rope dropping Epcot for our family. Yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean I don't know, I'm struggling, I'm like eh, eh, eh.
Speaker 3:But if you do want to rope drop, Epcot Test Track's the first one you want.
Speaker 2:For us that's a good one. Yes, Test Track for sure. The boys, like our boys, love it what a way to wake up, huh yeah, and I mean like they love the whole process. You know it was different. Like when it very, very first opened back up after covid, you couldn't like design your car and all the specs for the vehicle and everything. Now you know that's been back for a while now and that's the part that they really truly like and enjoy.
Speaker 2:And then, yeah, I mean it's a way to wake you up for sure, and I mean it's an exciting ride yeah, it's a great ride, yeah yep, and it definitely stays at least an hour plus all day long, always busy yes, but it is pretty cool later in the day too at night's good, yes, yep.
Speaker 3:What's next on your list?
Speaker 2:uh, I put soaring. Yeah, it is I didn't make my list.
Speaker 3:The wait time for soaring hasn't been getting that long lately I know.
Speaker 2:But like, let's just say it's your only time going and it's something you've heard of, you want to do and you want to experience, you want to get the smells and all that. Then you know later in the day it's not like one of those that has an hour and a half wait or anything. But if you don't want to wait 45 plus minutes, then that's when you might want to rope drop.
Speaker 2:Yeah, because we'll talk about soaring a little bit more like yeah yeah, I mean because you're just flying over, you know all these different beautiful landmarks and countries and getting those smells and I don't know. It's just something about that ride like it. Just it brings out all the emotions in me.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's a great one yeah, next on my list would be living with the land. No, because it's always a short way I'm joking, although I did see on twitter. This guy uh did rope drop, living with the land, and he recorded himself on the book like it was pretty funny yeah, the only one on there, probably. Yes, yeah, uh, no, next to my list and again now we?
Speaker 2:but we do like living with the land, but it's not for rope dropping.
Speaker 3:My number one underrated attraction in all of Walt Disney World is Living with the Land. No, depending on your family, if it's a must-do for you, I put Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
Speaker 2:Yay, yes, it's on my list, it's on your list. Yeah. So earlier, when you were saying, I don't know, I think we might be done with rope dropping me and Nolan might go and rope.
Speaker 3:Y'all can go do this me and ryan staying at the resort and chilling for a little bit longer. Okay, because epcot's just anyway continue. Talk about remys yeah, y'all love it. Yeah, it's good. It's a good attraction, but I don't love it.
Speaker 2:It may be just for the fact that, like we missed out on it the first time too, it was, you know, the first time. It was very hot summer, middle of the day, nolan was getting overheated and so me and him had to kind of step out of the line. Zach and Ryan stayed and rode the ride, and then we'd been hearing about it from them and how much we'd like it you know for so long. So once we finally had the opportunity to ride it, nolan and I just absolutely fell in love with it. It was a lot cuter than I thought it would be. There was a couple little surprises in it and stuff too with some splashes, and it was just an experience, I guess, for me and him.
Speaker 3:Yeah, what's next on your?
Speaker 2:list. So this is another one depending on your family and their favorite movies, Frozen Ever After.
Speaker 2:I'm'm just gonna check the queue out and I'm out but again, we're talking about trying to help families out here. Yes, so frozen ever after a great ride, especially if you have boys or girls that love the movie, or even if it's if you're an adult and that's one of your favorite movies, that is one that the line gets very lengthy throughout the day, wrapped around Norway and even going into another country, sometimes in the World Showcase. But the queue, awesome queue.
Speaker 3:I just want to see Oaken.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but before you get to Oaken, like well, you see him a little bit early on and then you see him more later and it's just like I don't know the city of Arendelle and they did a really good job in there and I I like the ride, but I also like the movie they did a very good job with the queue and and making you feel like you're in arendale.
Speaker 2:They did such a great job yes, and so again, depending on your family, that would be another, another choice, and both remys and frozen. You know they're located in the world showcase. Remys is in the france pavilion, frozen is in the norway right.
Speaker 3:Yeah, norway pavilion, so yeah yeah, anything else you got for epcot.
Speaker 2:That's all I got well, this other ride isn't a rope drop yet guardians, yeah, yeah, no, guardians, you can't rope drop yet.
Speaker 3:These are still a virtual queue or a paid lightning link. Right, but it will be, I think once it is that would probably be in the top two that you would need to do. Yeah, the best coaster on property right now. Yeah, sans tron. I haven't done tron yet, but from what I've read and heard and seen, it's better than tron right all right, we're going to our favorite park Animal Kingdom.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 3:And we all know everybody. I have three on me, you got three.
Speaker 2:Again, depending on who you are, geez, I'm speaking to the wide audience, not just us.
Speaker 3:So I've got a very niche audience that, like me and I'm speaking to them Everybody else loves you. I'm kidding, everybody knows everybody's answered the same question Avatar, flight of passage. Everybody you have to rope drop Avatar, flight of passage. You got to see this queue, amazing queue. I'm glad I went through it a few weeks ago and I got a few more little Easter eggs that I'm going to use for Disney trivia from that queue that I did not see before okay, well, the first couple of times we'll talk about it we did rope drop avatar flight of passage.
Speaker 2:Yes, we don't anymore. We have a different process for it. But yes, if you have not been, then avatar flight of passage should be the rope drop the queue. We've talked about it, like zach was just saying time and time again the details hank, what's up? Hank, um, just, you know the lab area, how you get synced with your um, your banshee. I almost forgot what they were called for a minute the ecron, the banshee yes, and just the overall experience.
Speaker 2:I mean it's amazing, like for those once you're on it, like for those, what five minutes it's like four minutes and 39 seconds yeah, it's like I mean you're there you're not, yeah, you're not in animal kingdom anymore, you know. So definitely, definitely, definitely. One to rope drop, but I do have two others as well all right.
Speaker 3:The next one we and this is what we do now we rope drop and go to kilimanjaro safari, kilimanjaro safari and we do a paid out, paid lightning lane for avatar flight of passage, just because the safari is so much better in the morning.
Speaker 2:Yes, I did it later in the evening a few weeks ago didn't see half the animals that we normally see during the day right, yeah, and I mean, and I think the first couple of times we went like middle of the day, later in the day, it was hot and yeah like zach just said, you don't see quite as many, but in the morning we've gone a few times now in the morning you definitely see a lot more animals blocking the track you're supposed to be driving on and I showed the video of that giraffe coming right up to our vehicle.
Speaker 3:That was amazing. Nolan would have loved that.
Speaker 2:Yes, it was one of those moments, like, of course it happened when daddy was here. But um, yes, I mean just in the morning, though. There you know the lions they were actually moving around, not just laying down. They were definitely having conversations with each other. You just don't know what you're going to see. You see more of the younger babies and stuff too.
Speaker 3:It's a lot more chill going that way than it is going to Pandora, because that place is everybody's running to get there. No one's really running to get to the farm.
Speaker 2:We're maybe speed walking a little bit, but we're not trying to outreach everybody else, you know. And and then we have, we have a routine now. After we do that, we stop at that place right outside of it to get like a breakfast sandwich it's a little cart in harambe yes, and then we try to do some of the trails.
Speaker 3:The gorilla falls, yeah, so another great thing about rope dropping kilimanjaro safari is that queue is horrible. You go right through. You have to wait in that horrible, horrible queue it?
Speaker 2:yeah, because later in the day it's like switchbacks and it's so hot it's outside in the open then once you nothing, and then even once you do get into the covered area, the covered area, there's still not really anything to see. So yeah, if you're there first thing, then you would think you just keep moving, keep moving for being such a great attraction.
Speaker 3:They could have come up with the better cue, right. But no, yeah, yeah, anyway, all right.
Speaker 2:So that's all. You have one more. You got one more. You're rushing. You got one more. Sorry, slow your roll. You got one more. Yes, now this one again. I'm thinking of others, not me expeditioniceratops spin expedition everest.
Speaker 3:Yeah I mean, I wouldn't consider this a rope drop one, just because it usually doesn't get that long of a wait but there have been times where it has it can get to an hour plus. Yes, we've waited an hour plus for it, but here's the thing you want to wait an hour plus for this because that queue is the best queue in walt disney world well see, I still haven't seen it, because we would always have all right.
Speaker 3:You're going on it fast, pass or lightning you're going on it and seeing the queue in the fall.
Speaker 2:No, yes, no, you can go through the queue and then exit the queue like no, I'm a baby and be like I'm sorry, I don't want to go, I'm out, you can do that no, people do it. Uh, anyway, but that that's another one. Just because if you're, if you're one of those that you are all about coasters, then you want to start your day right off the bat with one. Then that's why I made my list. It's a great one.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it was a walk-on. When I went a few weeks ago it was great. Okay, all right. So we asked y'all what attractions you like to rope drop and in the Magic Kingdom, swingy from Twitter said we always rope drop seven dwarfs, mine train and then go straight to thunder and splash. Usually have them done within an hour and we have gone right. We have gone right a few times for space mountain and we will hopefully be rope dropping tron next year. See what happens with the. Uh the queue, yes, uh. Sonja from facebook said peter pan's flight is what we did last year. And then space, space Mountain, mine Trainer, jungle Cruise would be good choices.
Speaker 2:Great choices yes.
Speaker 3:Trina from Facebook said that we always rope drop Peter Pan's flight Another great choice. And Britt Brooke from Instagram said Space Mountain. That's the only correct answer out of all of those.
Speaker 2:No, again, you do what's best for your family. And those were all great, great responses.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so in Hollywood Studios Grace from Facebook said Slinky Dog or Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad.
Speaker 2:Railway.
Speaker 3:Railway, whatever.
Speaker 2:Which that I wasn't even thinking that one earlier, to be honest, because it's not one of our favorites, but that is a good one yes. Meh Again, depending on your family.
Speaker 3:Meh Sonia from Facebook said most of the rides are rope drop worthy. Yes, there's just so many hitters in Hollywood studios that you can't go wrong with either one.
Speaker 2:you know, whichever you decide, yeah, I mean like our list it was. I mean, you go from, you know Star Wars, hollywood Toy Story. I mean yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah, brian from Facebook said this is the way. I don't know what that means. Star Wars, galaxy's Edge, galaxy's Edge.
Speaker 2:Probably Rise, are you going?
Speaker 3:to rope drop and see the Mandalorian and Grogu Just wait for them to come out, since this is the way.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3:And Trina from Facebook said Tower of Terror Another great choice. Jen's Magical Life from Instagram said Slinky Dog Rise of Resistance. Or Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.
Speaker 2:All good ones.
Speaker 3:Beely8519 from Instagram said Tower of Terror. So I'm going with everybody's agreeing Tower of Terror is probably the number one. One, number one.
Speaker 2:There was a mix in there yeah.
Speaker 3:And then Sweeney from Twitter said Tower of Terror in there, yeah. And then sweeney from twitter said tower of terror, then rock and roller coaster. It's a more chilled rope drop crowd than going to andy's backyard and galaxy's edge. 100 completely agree with that, yeah that's true yep, uh. Epcot center. Erica from facebook said if I'm coming from the international gateway, I'm going straight to ratatouille. What's the international gateway?
Speaker 2:it's that side entrance, the side entrance.
Speaker 3:Okay, see, I just know it as side entrance. I didn't know, it was called the International.
Speaker 2:Gateway. Oh my gosh, I hope you're really kidding on that.
Speaker 3:No, I didn't know that. That's what it's called.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 3:The International Gateway.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 3:I just thought it was side entrance.
Speaker 2:No but yeah, that side entrance over there, because you're right there, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:I am, I am. I didn't know it had an actual name, I just the side entrance to Epcot.
Speaker 2:Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3:All parks need side entrances.
Speaker 2:I agree, they just do yes.
Speaker 3:Brittany from Facebook. You again Nope, Said Test Track. Jen's Magical Life from Instagram said Guardians. Unfortunately, you have to have the virtual queue or pay Lightning Link for guardian. It will eventually, I believe get out, but that queue is not a very big queue, so you will have to rope drop that because it's going to get long.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I guess it'll back up outside.
Speaker 3:It will, I would imagine so yeah, In an animal kingdom, Jen's magical life from Instagram said flight of passage and Brittany from Facebook said flight of passage. Yeah, that's, if it's your first time going, that's a definite rope drop, I would agree. All right. So that brings us to Disney Trivia, talking about rope drop attractions. What was located where Slinky Dog Dash currently is? Brittany, do you know?
Speaker 2:Well, I got it right on my second guess. You did get it right on your second guess, you guessed the first time.
Speaker 3:Was it lights motor action? Yes, guess the first time. Was it lights motor action? Yes, yeah. But then my second guess was right the earful tower playoff words like the eiffel tower. Yeah, the earful, it was the water tower with the mickey ears on it.
Speaker 2:Yes, that was located where slinky dog dash is now very iconic back from the mgm days oh yeah, I mean, I remember seeing it when I was, I remember seeing it when I went, yep yeah, and the winner from twitter this week is at Logs to Matt.
Speaker 3:Congratulations at Logs to Matt, still on top.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Still on top. So I had an idea for when we're in California Adventure for Disney Trivia that Thursday.
Speaker 2:Okay, well, don't give them this far of an advance notice.
Speaker 3:I'm not giving them an advance notice and expect a live video Disney trivia from California Adventure in two weeks.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 3:I have an idea if I can see the character that I want. I've got a very specific question regarding that character. It's a good one, it's a really good one.
