Restless Ones - Pueblo Incense House of Prayer
Conversation: Kingdom Connections - Patricia McNutt
Description:
In this episode of the Restless Ones podcast, hosts Brennan and Zach sit down with Patricia McNutt to share the inspiring story of Kingdom Connections—a ministry initiative that bridges prayer communities with marketplace leaders.
Patricia, a loan officer for seven years, shares her remarkable testimony of how targeted, specific prayer transformed her business in dramatic ways. After joining the Kingdom Connections prayer initiative during a slow season, she experienced an immediate turnaround with three challenging loans appearing overnight—all of which seemed nearly impossible to close.
In this conversation, you'll hear:
- What Kingdom Connections is and how it works
- How a house of prayer community supports marketplace believers through daily intercession
- Patricia's testimony of five "impossible" loans that closed through divine intervention and creative problem-solving
- The power of specific, agreement-based prayer in the marketplace
- How business breakthroughs create opportunities for gospel witness
- Breaking down false hierarchies in the body of Christ between "ministry" and "marketplace"
- The relational foundation that makes kingdom partnership effective
- Practical encouragement for both prayer communities and business leaders to engage in this type of partnership
This episode challenges common misconceptions about the value of marketplace ministry and demonstrates how prayer and business can work together to advance God's kingdom. Whether you're a business owner, a prayer warrior, or simply curious about how faith intersects with everyday work, this conversation will inspire you to see Kingdom partnership in a new light.
Welcome back to the Restless Ones podcast. We're gonna do a little bit of a slightly different format, yet again today. We typically are doing now teachings, and then we will have a discussion, podcast discussion with me and Zach or others around that teaching that we gave the previous week. But today we're doing a little storytelling. My name is Brennan, and I'm here with Zach. Say hello, Zach.
SPEAKER_02:Hey everybody.
SPEAKER_00:This is Patricia.
SPEAKER_02:Hello.
SPEAKER_00:And today we're gonna just share a little bit of the story of what God's doing, uh, mostly with Patricia. We've got a new initiative that we started here at the House of Prayer probably five months ago. Something like that. Like we've officially kind of went into it. Um, called Kingdom Connections. So I think before we jump into the stories of it, probably would help to explain what Kingdom Connections is. So, Zach, do you want to just give like cliff notes of what is Kingdom Connections? How does it work?
SPEAKER_02:Sure, yeah. So Kingdom Connections is essentially one of the ways that we strategically pray for the body of Christ in our region and kingdom initiatives in our region. And so we really felt highlighted. Well, there's we've told the story before, but long story to make it short, we essentially felt marketplace leaders that are believers highlighted. We felt missionaries highlighted and ministry leaders. And we said, as a house of prayer where we commit to praying all the time, we simply want to be a resource to these kingdom initiatives that God has already put in place. Like he the same way that he's got a dream and a desire in his heart to advance night and day prayer in the earth, Malachi 111, he also has dreams and desires in his heart for believers to be influencers in the marketplace and in all over the place. But we we really felt highlighted marketplace missionaries and ministry leaders. And so what we do is we equip our community to pray for these leaders where we build a relationship with them, and they pray for them every single day, at least 10 minutes a day. I always encourage people pray for them on your drive to the prayer room, and it's 10 minutes for some of us takes 15 minutes to get here, so you get an extra five minutes, and then we say commit to praying together with other believers here in the prayer room for them, at least weekly, once weekly, and then a few of us on our leadership team meet with the marketplace leaders on a monthly basis, and we get updates, we hear how things are going, and we pray over them, we prophesy over them, and um it's been pretty cool, and so that's kind of what Kingdom Connections is.
SPEAKER_00:I love it, and I love Kingdom Connections, like it makes so much sense to me because as a house of prayer community, like what we do is we pray. That's in a sense like a gift we have, it's a strength we have, and so we're able to use a strength that we have and use it to bless and minister to different parts of the body of Christ. And I love that. I think I want to give one uh quick helpful thing with Kingdom Connections, because this is really what helped break down some of my wrong mindsets related to it. So as Christians, we typically see like the body of Christ on this ladder, if you will, and it's the ladder of importance, right? Right? Who's the most important Christian? And the top of the rung is typically the missionary, right? The one that's going to Afghanistan to go preach the gospel, they're laying everything down. They're kind of the most important Christian, they're doing the most for God, right? And then the next rung is like the preachers, right? The the pastors, the ministry leaders, those that are, you know, doing it in the local church. They're doing good work, they're going after God. Then the next rung is those serving in the church, right? Serving in children's ministry, ushers, administrative staff, people like that. And then the bottom rung is those who just have a normal job and they go do stuff in the world, right? And that's just that's our mindset. I at least that was my mindset uh coming into this. And it's it's so wrong. Like that whole idea is built on the idea that we're all supposed to be going to Africa and Afghanistan and going to do it. And it's like, that's not true. God has different purposes and plans for every single person. And even all of us aren't called to be the preacher or even to serve necessarily in the local church. A lot of us are called primarily to the marketplace, right? If we were all missionaries, we wouldn't be able to eat. Right. Because there'd be no farmers, there'd be no one processing the food, there'd be no one selling the food. Like we there's the practical of working that is so biblical. And so I think as we pray into specifically the marketplace leaders with kingdom connections, that's a helpful thing to keep in mind, is it's not a lesser-than ministry to be in the marketplace to do a business. Right. It's if that's what God's calling you to, then you can be super fruitful in that ministry as well. So I just want to help clarify that.
SPEAKER_02:And I mean, like we will pray for all of these like you know, gospel conferences and things where the message is being proclaimed, but we've recognized that it's not so common to like have prayer teams be praying for the marketplace leader, the loan officer, or you know, the those that are running a coffee truck in in a city. Like it's not common to pray for the Lord to bless them and give them open doors of opportunity for Kingdom Impact and all of those things. And so just as we, you know, felt the Lord speaking to us about that, we were like, well, we do have that resource of prayer that we can freely give to marketplace leaders, to missionaries, to ministry leaders. And so we wanted to double down on that and say, all right, Lord, if this, if these were dreams birthed in your heart for somebody to be a loan officer, um a coffee truck owner, or the owner of a Chick-fil-A, then we want to bless that and throw prayer support to that. And it's been awesome to see what God has done.
SPEAKER_00:And it's been it has been awesome to see what God's done. We've we've so loved the testimonies of it and we've loved hearing the stories. So that's why we're doing this so that everyone else can also hear the stories of what God's been doing, what we've been seeing. So, Patricia, you've been a part of this community for a couple of years now. Um, and so you've you've kind of gotten to have both perspectives of both praying for the kingdom connections, but now also being a kingdom connection yourself um as a loan officer. So can you give us just a summary of what you do, uh, what your role is, and then also your reaction when you first started hearing about Kingdom Connections. Like what were your thoughts about it?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, absolutely. So my name is Patricia McNutt, and I have been a loan officer for seven years now. Um I thought it was a brilliant idea. I just walk into the room and I heard you guys praying for businesses, and it was in a really um slow season for me. So I said, like, I I want to be part of your your prayer world too, right? And it I remember that was a Thursday, and I had no loans going on at that time. And this was probably just a month ago. So then on Friday, I had three people that went under contract, like out of the blue. But they were the hardest loans ever in seven years. It was the craziest thing. One of them came from Florida. Um, I'm a loan officer there as well, but that loan was already denied at the closing table. So they came to me and they were like, Can you save it? And I'm like, oh my gosh, that's a lot of pressure, right? But I had no business. And suddenly I had three people that went under contract, and this is one of them who was already uh close to being done, and then the lender denied them. And it was a tremendous amount of pressure for me to just help this family uh become homeowners, right? So I remember again, clear as day, I told my husband, they prayed for me. I think it's gonna be awesome. They are starting this business. I believe that it's it's a way for us to see God's work in a tangible way. I'm like, how cool is it that you have a business and there's a group of people that are praying for you, and then suddenly things happen, and it's just so awesome, you know, and it's a way to glorify God for sure. So I remember that Friday that they came to me and they're like, can you close this in one week? And I'm like, oh my gosh, I have all these moving parts. They already got denied, and I have to find a way to qualify these people, and they have zero credit. And it's the hardest thing to make everything work when someone has zero credit because there's different requirements and uh conditions. So I just remember again, these three people going under contract, and I was blown away because I was like, God, you know, you answered this prayer so quickly. But they are the hardest loans ever in three years, in seven years. And they were all very shaky. Again, one was zero credit, the other one had issues with income. So we're battling all throughout the process to have the these three loans uh clear to close. And then sure enough, they were clear to close. And in the meantime, two other came, and again, they were like the hardest loans. It was issues with income and credit. One uh I had a couple that they both had good credit a month ago when I re-polled their credit and they're under contract already. One of them didn't qualify. So now we had to work with one income only and make that loan work. And again, I was like, God, I was seeing God's work throughout, and I was amazed. I was like, God, only you could have done this. But in the meantime, I'm testifying to my clients about the goodness of God, and I'm telling them, this would not have happened if it wasn't for Jesus. And I have a group of people praying for you, and they are uh on board to help us close this loan. And all of them, all five of them, knew that it was the Lord in in the process. And again, it was a way to just testify of the goodness of God and also how prayer works, you know, how the Lord gave us this ability to bring heaven on earth through prayer because he gave us authority and nothing happens on earth without prayer. So I just again I was blown away that the Lord would have answered the prayer so quickly. Yes, and then although they were the hardest loans, the Lord helped me close each one of them. So five of them that would have got denied that died many times throughout the process. It was like bringing back to life Lazarus, you know, over and over. And then to see these five families actually have their dream fulfilled was just unbelievable. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:That's so good.
SPEAKER_00:So cool. And I I love that you mentioned like it's so they were all like some of the hardest deals you've ever had. Zach, didn't you give a word about that? Like towards the start of it.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. Yeah, we were we were like in the we did our first prayer appointment together, and we were giving prophetic words, and prophetic words are supposed to be encouraging. I think this was encouraging, but what I remember of it, I was like, I think God's gonna keep giving you hard loans, but as a testimony of only so um lean on him, something like that. So maybe that was encouraging, maybe it wasn't. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03:But it stretches me too, because I have to be creative with so many things. Like if this loan has a debt-to-income ratio that's not working, then I have to find a different program, you know. So, you know, I feel also that my faith has grown throughout the process because the Lord has given me tools that I didn't have before because these loans would not have closed unless we thought about uh outside of the box, right? Like, and he gave us these strategies right in the middle of the loan when a lot of them were about to be denied. And then something would come to my mind. I'm like, how about this? Can we do this? You know, and and again, uh he used different people throughout, you know, the company, um, the lenders to just give me different insights like, how about if you do this? How about if you pay this debt? And then again, all of them were uh able to close. And my last impossible one just got a clear to close yesterday. And that one was again dead so many times, and I was like, it's gonna be by a miracle. And I told the realtors, I'm like, I mean, my my realtor that's working with my client, I told her, and she's a believer too. I'm like, you need to pray with me on this because this is gonna be a miracle if it closes. Because of the things that came through in the middle of the process that just threw us off, you know, like income and credit. And then sure enough, yesterday they got it clear to close, and this family was crying, and they again was they were so thankful, and I was witnessing to them and telling them how much Jesus loves them, and that's the reason why he blessed them with this home, you know. So it's it's so satisfying to be able to help people become homeowners because it's one of their biggest accomplished in their lifetime, a lot of times, right? And knowing that other loan officers would have declined them, but they came to me and then uh the deal worked is again a testimony for how good God is and how He answers our prayers.
SPEAKER_00:That's so good, that's so cool. And I love like hearing all of that, like it's mind-blowing. And I I think back to like the prayer meetings where we're praying for you, and I'm like, it felt pretty weak, not gonna lie. Like, we're praying for you as a loan officer, and I don't know what that even means. You you talk about the loans and the deals, and I'm like, Yeah, no clue. Yep, you're helping people buy houses. Love that. But we pray, and I'm like, I know we have on the on the prayer sheet like the specific prayer of give Patricia three loanable people every month and help them to go through. And so we've just been praying that on the mic in this room again and again and again. And it's felt pretty weak a lot of times in the prayer room, but then to hear and to see the testimony of what God can do even with simple weak prayers, like it's so so impactful. Yeah to just get to see, like, no, what God actually hears and actually answers prayer, which is hilarious. Like, we're the prayer people, we should believe that. But to actually see it happen is like, oh, it actually works. No way.
SPEAKER_02:And so mind-blowing of like you mentioned how fast God was answering prayers. Like, I think it was literally one day you're like, Can you pray for me? I need three loans. And we're like, okay, we're gonna pray specifically. We've been talking a lot about praying specifically on the podcast, and so we're like, all right, we're gonna pray this specific prayer. She needs uh three loans, and then three people show up, and all this stuff starts to happen. I remember one prayer meeting out of nowhere. Chelsea randomly felt prompted. And again, it's not like this God showed up in the room moment, like the sky splits, but Chelsea is praying on the mic. Chelsea's my wife, for those who don't know, and she's praying. She goes, Lord, thank you for the three. And I even asked, you would just give her two more. Yeah, and I remember the hard the two hard one that came later.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:I remember sitting there, like I'm playing piano, and I'm like, Where did that come from? Like, why two? Like it was random. It's so random. And we even talked about it afterwards, and then it wasn't long after, it might have been the day after or two days after. You were like, I got two more that are really hard or whatever it was. I mean, we were just like, God is answering these prayers, right? And there's nothing special that happened in the prayer meeting. We just asked and God did it.
SPEAKER_03:Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:And as we started praying, like you asked us specifically for to pray for three loanable deals. And do you want to share a little bit of like why you need three every month?
SPEAKER_03:Well, that's just a goal that I have right now, and it helps with our uh income, you know, for us to be able to sustain. My husband is not working currently, and the Lord has been providing every month. So if we continue to have at least three, that gives me an idea of how much income I get per month. So we can continue to sustain our family and pay our bills. Uh obviously, more than that it would be great, but I that's just the goal that I have right now. And it keeps me pretty engaged, you know, uh, with three loans every month. Because three closes now, and then if already three are in the pipeline, then I'm I'm continuing on working these loans. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:That's so cool.
SPEAKER_03:And I love the number three. Yeah. Why not?
SPEAKER_01:There you go.
SPEAKER_00:I love that. And I love I love hearing the testimony of how it's affected those in your workplace, like the the families that you're helping, the realtor, the different people that are around you. Um, and I know we're not praying specifically that the deals would be hard to go through. That's not what we're praying. We're praying for we're praying for easy ones. Yeah. That is a common point. That would be awesome. But I do love that the fact that they're so difficult, like it's testified to those around you that God can work in impossible ways.
SPEAKER_03:Absolutely. And even some of the realtors would tell my clients, like, if it was somebody else, they would have dropped you already. Wow. But a lot of the realtors that I work with are also believers, so they're also able to testify to these families that a lot of times they're not believers. I had, I think, out of the five, maybe one was uh a true believer. And I even cry with her when she got a clear to close because that was the hardest loan. And this family has been praying for two years to become homeowners, and they have been denied in the past by other loan officers.
SPEAKER_01:That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03:Uh so this last family that we just got a clear to close yesterday, they were both non-believers. And I got on the phone with them and I was able to pray for them. So the gospel is being preached, and that's what I love about the most. And it's like the the most precious moment for them is to become a homeowner and to know that they seen how difficult it was throughout the process. It was not an easy process, but I was encouraging them all throughout the process that I'm praying for you, that we're gonna get through this, and the Lord's gonna bless you with this uh, you know, accomplishment. So, in the end, to for them to see the goodness of God, you know, and and taste and see, right, that the Lord is good, I think that's that seed that even if they don't come to church with me, because I invite them to come to church, uh, then that seed has been planted and they would have experienced how God worked in an impossible way, you know. So maybe later on somebody will water and then they'll eventually, you know, become a believer. But that's the coolest thing is that the Lord called me to help families become homeowners. And I love the process. I absolutely love it. It's not easy. A lot of times there's a lot of moving pieces, and it can be very difficult for people that have low credit scores or they don't have any down payment. But we have programs for that, right, that can help them. Um, but when someone knows that is like almost impossible for them to become homeowners, and then they become homeowners, and they know that I have been praying for them throughout the process. Again, that's just a testimony that God is good and and it's that seed being planted in their lives, you know.
SPEAKER_02:Amazing. I remember when we bought our house. Man, I wish I would have known that you were a loan officer at the time. It would have made my life so much easier. But you know, we being on missionary support most of most of our lives being married, like we've got some weird uh, you know, credit and finances to make it work. So we just always thought it would be a miracle for the Lord to get us a house and for the bank to lend us all this money to buy a house. And I'll never forget that after about three months of stressing out and all of this, there was a moment where we were about to close. It was gonna be like a week from that day, and everything fell apart. And we were like, oh my gosh. And I was supposed to be in a meeting with a bunch of other house of prayer leaders. So I texted them, I'm like, guys, I can't be in the meeting. We're like, we've got to be available for this. And they said, okay, we're gonna pray that God changes something and brings breakthrough. And so they prayed, and I truly believe it was the prayers of my friends in these houses of prayer that flipped the loan. So I I've been on that receiving side of it, and just feeling the I mean, it's like you mentioned getting in your home is like the big deal. Like you own this place, it's the place where you can raise your family. And so the moment that it finally went through, you feel God's goodness, and that'll be a story that we'll tell people forever about how God did something impossible. And so it's so awesome that you get to be a part of that journey for so many people. And even though they're hard, like you can't look back at that and be like, oh, this is just like normal, like this happens. But no, this is a miracle. Like, God is doing a miracle, and we always think of miracles with healing bodies and those things, and we love that and we believe that. But he also does miracles in the loan officer world, yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Absolutely, and you contend for miracles all the time, so of course it would happen for you. I am learning a lot more than I have in seven years. Like, oh, this is possible, you know, these are possibilities that I never tested before. Like flipping a loan from FHA to conventional in the middle of the process is almost impossible because FHA have uh conventional have different guidelines than FHA, but having a zero credit and and have done that, that was the first time ever in seven years. And that's what I had to do with the loan that got a denial from another lender, which they're about clear to close, right? And I never seen that, Zach. I was like, God, I have never ever experienced a loan that one of the buyers had a zero credit. And normally that's an FHA case all the way through, right? For you to have a conventional with one of the buyers with zero credit, it's lit literally impossible. Because there are so many guidelines that they have to follow, follow under, right? And it just happened that now the FHA was falling apart because their debt to income ratio was not good. And then the Lord gave me this idea. How about if you flip to conventional? And I was like, yeah, I'm not sure. That's like impossible. It's like, well, I'm the god of impossible. And it worked, and they closed on the home with a conventional loan. Again, I never ever seen that. So I know the Lord is like really stretching my faith too and then giving me new tools and strategies because when I see these uh scenarios, now I know that these things are possible because I've done it, you know. Yeah, but again, the coolest thing is just to see these families rejoicing and like in awe that they were dead and now they're alive, and especially that loan that was denied. They already had lost their earnest money, they were you know done. Yeah, and again, it's a lot of pressure for me to get a loan that is dead and trying to bring back to life, yeah. But I did with the Lord's uh you know, instruction. So how do we do this, God? And then again, they experience God in a really tangible way, and they were not believers. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00:That's so cool. I love it. I I hear the stories of this, and I'm like, why did I ever think business world wasn't like missional? Like that makes zero sense now that I've seen it, and it's like it's so so enjoyable on both sides. Of we get to pray into something like this, and when we see the breakthrough, like you're super excited because you got the breakthrough, and we're super excited because you got the breakthrough. We're like, let's go. This prayer thing works, and it's it's that rejoicing together with the different body parts of the body of Christ, like when one member's honored, the rest are honored with it. Like, I I love that aspect of kingdom connections when you have a loan go through, or when you know, AJ and Megan with the coffee farm, like they get a breakthrough and the land works out, or Grace with the coffee truck, like she gets you know a new location she can park at. Like we get to rejoice together with you and what God is doing, and it's it's so beautiful. It it's the body of Christ working together in tandem. And I love that. I love that aspect.
SPEAKER_03:And the other thing is that when those loans closed, I was just compelled to help the house of prayer. I was like, God, I need to send an offering to them because like they were the ones that prayed and made this work. So in in my um spirit, I was rejoicing to be able to have that to plant a seed back at the house of prayer, you know. So that's another cool thing, too, is that as we see the prayers being answered, we want to uh sow back that seed and then it it grows your ministry as well, you know. So it's just a cool thing that helps both of us. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:That's real. And I feel like that, if I'm honest, in some ways is part of why I always had a little bit of a frustration with business leaders and Christians in business, because I've always just been in ministry my whole life. And so honestly, I've never really had money. And so I I've seen them go into business, and in my mind, I'm like, well, you're taking the easy way, right? You're you're going the easy way to get money and all that stuff. But as I've seen kingdom connections happening, like it's caused me to recognize, like, oh, well, we just get different blessings, and then we can share those blessings with each other, right? Like, my blessing is that I love prayer. I'm in a place where I pray hours and hours every week. Like, I love and know how to do that really well. And then I can share that blessing with you, and you can share blessing with me. Like, I love that aspect of the body of Christ, and that's it's honestly broken down walls in my heart against different people and against seeing business leaders in the wrong way. It's, I guess, the envy of them. It's it's broken that down in my heart and made me recognize like, wait, that's that's just a specific blessing God's given them. Right. And He's given me blessings as well. And if we work together, it builds both of us up and can move both of us forward.
SPEAKER_03:And if the world is prospering, why not, you know, the believers? Like, why can we have businesses that are prospering where the gospel is being preached and then we have those finances to just uh plant back in the kingdom of God? So I always, you know, growing up in Brazil, I think that was uh stereotype too, like you have to become a believer and then work in the in the ministry. Like, what is the Lord calling you to do? Right. And a lot of times they also didn't look uh at business owners, you know, with a positive light because they thought, well, you're not doing the will of God because you have a business. But then again, businesses they planted the seed back into the kingdom. Churches need finances to grow, so the world is not gonna help us financially, you know. So the body of Christ, I think, was designed for us to have different parts, and some of them are are called to be in the business world because then they have the finances to just uh send the funds back into the kingdom of God. And that's what I love about having a business and also being in ministry, is that the Lord blesses us so we can pour the blessings right back, you know.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, yeah, that I I think that's why we really wanted to call it kingdom connections when we thought about this, because the way of the kingdom is relational. And I think some of the secret sauce, if there's any secret sauce to what's been going on, it's the fact that there is relationship happening, that it's not this transactional like, hey, we'll pray for you X amount of hours if you give us this amount of dollars. It's no, we we want to be in friendship with you, and we want to believe that God uh is gonna bless your business, and you believe that God will bless our ministry. And so it sets both of us up to be in a scenario where I'm dependent on you to do what God has called you to do, and you're dependent on me to do what God has called me to do, which has been really fun and a little scary because a lot of times in the prayer room, we've been doing this now, it'll be 13 years here in just a couple weeks. And a lot of times we've prayed the safe prayers where they've been general and God hears them, and certainly God has moved. But now that we're praying specifically for like results of things and specific breakthrough, it really puts us in this feels like a hot seat, kind of like, okay, Lord, you've got to do this.
SPEAKER_03:Like And it's cool to watch him do it. Yes. Oh, praise God.
SPEAKER_02:I'm so happy he's done it so many times.
SPEAKER_03:Yes, it's awesome, yeah. And again, the finances, you know, is a byproduct of right because I I felt compelled to help the house of prayer because now I have this extra income that I didn't have before, so I just want to bless you back, right? So it wasn't anything forced, it was like a natural instinct. I just want to give it back because the Lord has been good and he has answered these prayers, and you were a part of it.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. I love that. And I love what you said as well. I feel like a lot of it is the relational aspect of it. Um, a phrase I love to steal and say is the kingdom advances at the speed of relationship. And as we're doing this kingdom connections, that's been such a key part, is building relationship with the kingdom connections. Obviously, Patricia, we already knew um from years of her being here, but just getting that relational aspect. And to be honest, like I feel like I've come to know you a lot more through doing Kingdom Connections because we're praying specifically into it. And then when we meet with them every month um to like pray and prophesy over them and their business, it's so cool because we get to hear the heart behind why you're doing it. And I think that helps fuel our prayer so much. Much is not just, you know, we're praying for you because you're a loan officer. Cool. But we get to hear the heart of like, no, I I love to see families actually get to own the home. I love to get to see that and I love to share the testimony of Jesus while I'm at work. I would love to see these breakthroughs so that I can be like, hey, God did this. Like that's that's so cool. And that stirs me to be like, oh, I'll I'll pray for that 100%.
SPEAKER_03:Like I see God do hard things is so cool. Like it's not fun going through, but seeing the results of it, you know, every single one of them, of these five, then fall through. They closed, you know. So then you go back and you're like, God, you're so good. And it's just, I think it's it's better than things if if things were easier, because then you see that these things were impossible and it took God to give a specific strategy to make these work. Um, so again, it's just I think it's awesome to see the Lord work that way on hard things, you know.
SPEAKER_02:And it just fuels the like what I've seen from our side of it is seeing God do the hard things fuels prayer in a way that I've never really experienced. Like we've seen it done. So now instead of my prayers feeling like feeling like I've got to beg God or like convince him in in the right words or whatever it is, now I'm saying, God, I just saw you do this last week for Patricia. If you can do that, do this for these business leaders. Like that testimony really becomes the fuel for the prayer room and for what God's about to do next.
SPEAKER_03:And people do have a misconception of prayer, I think. They believe that you have to go to God and beg and ask and seek until he gets tired of your prayers and then he answers you. But that's not it at all. You know, he said that he gave us the keys to the kingdom, that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, whatever we loose on earth will be loosened in heaven. And that is actually a Jewish idiom. And it only it just means that whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven, or what you uh prohibit will be pro prohibited in heaven. So it's getting heaven to partner with us here on earth because Jesus prayed that. He said, pray that kingdom will come, will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So it is how we unlock things in the unseen realm, right, or from the unseen realm into the seen realm, you know, and it's just really cool to see because God gave us authority over all the powers of darkness, and I think sometimes we don't see our prayers answered because we don't know how to tap into that, you know.
SPEAKER_02:That's uh and I think about the verse that comes after the Matthew 18 one. You just shared how it says, Well, where two or three are gathered together in my name if they agree together about anything. The power of agreement, yes. So uh a lot of people write that off because it it comes in the context of people disagreeing, right, and trying to make things right. But you got to realize Jesus is teaching on more than just disagreements and healing disagreements, he's teaching about how to accomplish kingdom work and binding and loosing it. And it happens in the context of people coming together in relationship and prayer and asking. And so I just feel like we've lived those verses out over the past month together.
SPEAKER_03:Absolutely, yes. It is so cool. Yeah, come on.
SPEAKER_02:We got to talk about how Ron got involved in this too. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03:So that'll be another episode.
SPEAKER_02:Give the give the teaser of of what happened, how he heard that you were getting prayer.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, that's right. So my husband is a game developer, uh, and that has happened in the last seven months. Um, so when he heard that um the the house of prayer was praying for me, and then the next day I had these three people out of the blue that went under contract. He was like, you know, can I be part of that prayer wall as well? So I we said obviously yes, and now he's part of the uh prayer wall. And he his goal is the long term, right? Because now he's developing this game that he wants to put a lot of God in uh aspects into. So we'll see the fruit of it probably sometime next uh year. But in the meantime, he's getting divine inspiration and ideas and wisdom on how to make this uh game work. So I know that he's enjoying the prayers and he's uh receiving the fruits of it too, as of right now. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:So good. And that's what we believe that with Kingdom Connections it's gonna be a snowball effect for us here at the House of Prayer. That as your testimony goes forth and as others' testimonies go forth, that more people are gonna hear this and they're gonna say, Hey, I I need a prayer room. Like I need people to pray for my business too. And so we've already seen that start to happen, and so we're we're encouraged and excited. Um, what would you say to because you're involved here in the house of prayer, you lead worship here, you prayer lead, you do everything here, and then you lead ministries and Bible studies and TikTok pages, and then you also are a loan officer. But what would you say to our friends in prayer rooms across the earth? What would you say to the business leader that's maybe listening in on this um related to prayer? Like what would you just say to those people?
SPEAKER_03:I I would encourage you to try. Like you there's nothing to lose if you just come and say, Hey, I have a business and I would like to partner with you in prayer, and then just watch God do crazy things. Because I mean, it happened to me, and I seen uh happening to other businesses too, right? That God's answering their prayers. There's power in agreement and there's power in partnership. And I think God created the body of Christ like that for us to be involved in one another's lives, you know. So I would say to business owners like the out there that have not done this before, just try and see God work because I believe that it will take you from the lever where you are right now to the next level. Come on, only because there's power in prayer, and God's desire is for your business to prosper so you can give back to the kingdom of God.
SPEAKER_00:Come on, come on, and I would I would encourage like prayer groups, prayer communities as well. Like, you're already doing the prayer stuff, and this is not hard to do. Yeah, all of us know people in business, all of us know strong believers in the marketplace, find them, sit down with them, have coffee with them, ask them like what do you do? Why do you do it? What's your heart with the business? And then start praying for them. And I would encourage, like, pray specific prayers, ask them specifically, what do you need exactly? And then stay in touch with them and start praying those specific prayers. And it's it's so fruitful, it's so beautiful. And it creates, I mean, everything that we've been talking about today is kind of an advertisement of like, hey, this is working really well. You should try to like this this is amazing what God is doing. So I would encourage you, even if it's you're at a local church and you've got a small group that meets together on a Tuesday night or something to pray, find those other marketplace leaders in the church and start praying specifically for them. Right. And see what God does.
SPEAKER_03:It is so exciting to see God answer those prayers, though. I you kind of get addictive. Like, okay, who can we find now to pray?
SPEAKER_00:Come on. I love that.
SPEAKER_02:Well, before we go, do you just want to tell people where they can find you? I mean, you do a whole bunch of different stuff. So there's people from our city listening, people from maybe in Florida that need a need a loan officer. I mean, just tell people where they can find you.
SPEAKER_03:So my name is Patricia McNutt, and I am on Facebook. Um, my phone number is 719-406-0067. And if you do need uh help, you know, becoming a homeowner or refinancing your home, I'll be happy to help you. Um, but I think more than anything, I want to just um thank you, Zach, and the House of Prayer for being such an impact in my life. I've been here for two and a half years now, and my walk with the Lord has completely changed since I joined the House of Prayer because I learned in the beginning, I was excited about just worshiping and singing harmony, right? And then over the years, it just developed into this wow, I love being in the presence of the Lord and I love learning about the word. And that has helped me grow so much in my walk with the Lord. So, my business and ministry, all of that aside, I think that I'm so thankful for the House of Prayer for just helping me become uh a better believer, just diving into the word and then believing for big things and hard things. And so, again, just thank you for your heart. I know you've been doing this for 13 years now and sometimes can be discouraging because it's a long you know journey. But I know that the Lord hears your prayers and he's uh sending, you know, more labors your way. But again, you I don't know if you will ever understand the impact that has in the individual life when we come in the presence of the Lord and we just spend time with him and we grow in him, you know. So again, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of this house of prayer and for everything you do in our community.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, we love you a whole bunch. Thanks for being here.
SPEAKER_03:Thank you guys.
SPEAKER_00:Alrighty. Well, we'll wrap it up here. If you want to check out some of our other teachings, we're doing a series on the apostolic prayer pattern. You can scroll down on whatever podcasts you're listening to us on and find those teachings and discussions around the teachings there. We've got more coming out soon. Zach's told me a little bit about the next one, and I'm excited for it. So feel free to check those out and we'll wrap it up there. God bless you.
