SPEAKER_00Today's episode, we're gonna be talking about last weekend. We are uh today is Wednesday.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And uh a podcast comes out tomorrow. And so we're talking about electric pleasures.
SPEAKER_05Like two days after we got home. So it's pretty fresh on our minds.
SPEAKER_00It is, which I like it better when it's like that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, me too. But sometimes our schedule doesn't allow for us to podcast so quickly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Uh I'm still a little tired if I'm being honest.
SPEAKER_05I'm still pretty tired, if I'm being honest.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so if you don't know, Electric Pleasures is our new hotel takeover brand. Um, and the idea of it is kind of mixing alternative lifestyle with like music festival vibes. Yeah. Um, and to be completely transparent, we have been to like two or three music festivals. So we are not like experts in this. Um, we've brought in some DJs, we we have some friends.
SPEAKER_05We have people around us that are better or more versed in this than we are. Uh it's just kind of like a dream and an idea, and then we just pulled from other resources that do have some more knowledge of it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That being said, we do like the music. Yeah. Uh, and it seems to me that the lifestyle is really trending in that direction. We're seeing EDM music more and more um at lifestyle events. Uh, we're seeing it on Bliss Cruise, we're seeing it at Naughty in New Orleans. Um, I feel like the next generation, so like the 50 and under, 45 and under crowd is really kind of likes that direction, is going that direction. And then especially if you talk about 20-year-olds, 30-year-olds, that's their jam. So it seems like the lifestyle is going that way.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I feel like we're doing less uh swinger clubs that require button up the front shirts, no hats, you know, like kind of like old school swinger clubs is going more towards this like EDM festival rave sort of um concept. Even if you think about secrets, secrets is sort of the same, you know, you Hito, you can get, you know, there's not a whole lot of being so buttoned up. A lot of those things, I feel like it's getting away from that. Now, don't get me wrong, I love a good trapeze where you gotta dress nice and stuff like that. I love some of that.
SPEAKER_00Right. Trapeze, Colette, I think those are some of the clubs that are still, you know, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I think there's a place, I think there's a place for all of that. But I do find, and I think I honestly think it's the younger generation that is driving a lot of this. Uh I also think that they mix just like non-monogamy or this alternative lifestyle in almost everything they do, and it just becomes more natural. And that's kind of what we've tried to do with electric pleasures. And y'all would laugh at us trying to explain it to the people that work for us or the people around us, like our vision. We're like, think orgy dome at um Burning Man, Burning Man type of vibes, and they thought we were crazy. I can remember at one point over the weekend looking at one of the people that work for us and was like, now do you get it? And they're like, Yeah, I see it. I see the vision now. So it was kind of it was a neat experience to see it all come to life.
SPEAKER_00It was all right. So let's get into it. Uh, all right, so because this is a hotel takeover, um, it's really probably the largest event as far as planning goes that we've ever done. Yeah. Uh, not, I mean, and crowd-wise, it was probably pretty close to one of our largest events ever as well.
SPEAKER_05You think I I feel like Secrets.
SPEAKER_00Secrets probably has a little bit more, yeah. We've had bigger crowds. But um, so if you don't know, when you do a hotel takeover, what we've done traditionally, if you followed us in the podcast, if we've done takeovers of swinger clubs and we've done takeovers of swinger resorts. So Hito, Secrets, uh, we've brought groups onto the Bliss Cruise, and then we've taken over various swinger clubs across the country. Well, and in those situations, we're basically just bringing the crowd and we're setting the vibe. You know what I mean? We bring our DJs, we bring some, you know, we do the decorations, you know, we've brought LED walls and lights and stuff. So we basically, you know, that's been our niche for here for the last three, four years, is just bringing our crowd and our energy to other people's spaces, but those, but those clubs provide the security, they provide the staff, they have the bartenders, they have uh the playroom staff. So it's really like we're just bringing the people and the energy, they provide everything else. At Electric Pleasures, we brought literally everything except for the hotel and the restaurant staff.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, for sure. Which was quite the feat. And that's kind of why we partnered with some people that had done it before, because it was it was a lot of undertaking. And we didn't get everything perfect. There's definitely room for improvement. And when I give my review of the weekend, I'm definitely gonna point out the things that I think we could have done better because I feel like that's only fair. And there were several times throughout the weekend that I remember catching myself like, if this wasn't our takeover, would I be complaining about XYZ?
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_05Not to staff, but like, you know how we come on the podcast and we tell y'all what we like and what we don't. So I tried really hard to like almost think objectively. So I'm gonna point out some things that I know we could do better.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_00All right, so let's get into it. Um, so we left uh our house and headed down to Gulf Breeze on a Tuesday.
SPEAKER_05Tuesday. I want to talk about our decision making as far as why Gulf Breeze and why in January. Because we did get, we've been getting the reviews back in and we're obviously reading them. And a lot of the reviews were like, oh my god, this hotel would have been great in July or June or something like that. Like, there was a lot of questions of why we went to the beach in January. So I because I actually pushed back just to be super transparent. I was like, who wants to go to the beach in January? And I think it worked out. I think it uh you nailed it, but I want to just kind of give people a little bit of behind the scenes if that's okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so it's a few reasons. Um, one, uh finding a hotel that wants to work with swingers, period, is very difficult. Um, but then secondly, finding a hotel on the beach that is gonna let you throw a party uh in the summertime is uh pretty much impossible. One, the rates would be a lot higher, and most hotels, especially beach hotels, they would make you book out the the um hotel for a whole week. So this particular hotel would let us do a summertime party if we wanted to, but we would have to take the hotel for a whole week, and the price uh the room night price would be probably close to double what it was uh in January. So, you know, you do the math on that, and it basically equals going to Gulf Breathes for a week, would close cost you close to what it would cost to go to Hito or or Bliss. Yeah, which is crazy. So I think most people would be uninterested in that type of party, um, which I can't blame them for. Yeah. Uh so yeah, it's it's it's mostly the pricing and the logistics that's kind of behind it. Um, so because we were there in January, we were able to get a much better rate, and they were willing to do just a weekend price instead of a whole week price. Um, and we we targeted this particular hotel with one because it's it's where it's located, it's usually mid-60s, even in January. So that's doable for an outside music festival. Um, and two, the location as far as the way it was laid out, yeah. You know, being on the beach and on the water uh was kind of perfect. So um I agree it would have been better in June or July, but that's it just that's impossible.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I will say the hotel very much reminded me of Secrets, like before they renovated a lot of it, like the setup, the like literally the layout was exactly like Secrets, except for it had a beach, which I loved.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_05Okay, okay, right now we can go in.
SPEAKER_00Sorry, I didn't mean to No, it's okay, but I I know we got a lot of those.
SPEAKER_05We did get some feedback so I think I thought it was important to kind of give people a little bit of behind the scenes.
SPEAKER_00Right. Okay. So we left we left on Tuesday, and the goal of Tuesday was just to get to Gulf Breeze.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so we left here about like one or two, and we took our time. We actually like stopped and had dinner, which we never do. Um, and we eventually got there late, 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock, something like that. Some of our business partners and stuff were already there, so we got to kind of just check in, take a look around.
SPEAKER_00Quick huddle.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but really that night was just let's go to bed. And then Wednesday morning, uh I got up early because y'all are gonna laugh at me. But when we're at Secrets, there's gonna be this beauty expo the same time we're at Secrets. And so me and a bunch of other girls that were going to Secrets were like, let's get up early and try to get these tickets. I got up early, refreshed my phone for an hour. I did not get tickets, so I totally wasted my sleeping in time. But you got up shortly after I did because we had a tent being set up. So you went and started on the tent.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which honestly was nice because I didn't really have to do much, but uh we're just helping make sure the tent got set up in the right location and things like that.
SPEAKER_05And then after that, you kind of I feel like you sort of piddled throughout the day as far as like starting to set up and unload and stuff, didn't you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so once the tent was done, um, we actually unloaded trailers. So uh and I think we did do a little setup in the indoor um ballroom. Uh, and then we basically just the goal was to get all of the stuff that was going into the tent, into the tent, and then we set up the next day.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and a lot of people that were coming in helped us, which was very nice. At some point, you and I went to the grocery store. We also had Mandy that worked for us birthday, along with several other friends' birthday, but definitely Mandy's was one we were celebrating. And so we went to Publix, got her cake. You and I got to have lunch together, and then we went to Home Depot for some last minute supplies, and then we came back. And about the time we started getting back, is when kind of like Mandy arrived, that's when a lot of the other people started getting in. I think that's I think we actually got it wrong. We actually unloaded a little bit later in the afternoon and went and ran our errands first.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But this night was pretty low-key. We ordered caravas, we had we ate in the room, just there wasn't a whole lot. It was kind of like the calm before the storm. Uh we didn't, we hadn't really decorated a lot, hadn't really done a lot, just kind of started getting set up.
SPEAKER_00Correct. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So Thursday morning, you got up at the crack of dawn.
SPEAKER_00And I don't know why. I did get up early. It was like eight o'clock or something like that. But you worked which is not the crack of dawn, but for us it is.
SPEAKER_05Uh, you worked your ass off uh this whole weekend, but you definitely started here on Thursday. And that's one thing I think a lot of people saw how hard you worked, because several people said that to me. I didn't have a whole lot to do because I know nothing about electronics. And outside of the electronics, the only thing really to set up was like the backdrops and stuff, and I tried to help with that, but that's the electronics is kind of all you and you had double everything than you normally set up. So you want to talk a little bit about that?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um, so we ran two stages at Electric Pleasures, which I actually think went really well. Uh, and the main stage was outdoors in the courtyard area by the pool. Uh, and so we had to set up all the audio equipment, all the light equipment. Um, we had an LED wall that was kind of the DJ booth uh that we had to set up. So all that has to get you know physically set up, the lights put on trusses, um, and then a little more of the meticulous work is you have to run all the cabling. So um all the lights were not only powered, but also DMX'd and and programmed to a controller that I used to run the lights. So it's just kind of slow, meticulous, put all the lights up, run all the cables. I mean, it took um quite a bit of time. And then, like you said, because we had two stages, it was double. So once we had the outdoor stage set up, we had to then move indoors and essentially repeat the process. Uh, the indoor stage was a little bit smaller, not quite as many lights, so that was a little bit quicker, but um still took a lot of time. So that was, I mean, the majority of our my day on Thursday was setting up all the audio um and visual equipment and running all the cables and uh you know doing sound checks and doing uh running the lights through a couple you know checks and stuff like that. Um but yeah, but it's fun. I I kind of enjoy it. I mean it's it's not really like physical hard work if you're just running cables and stuff like that. I think the hardest work is like loading and unloading the trailers and that kind of thing. My back still hurts. Uh but uh yeah, the the setting the equipment up is um it's not that too bad.
SPEAKER_05Uh I tried to help where I could. You know, I helped Mandy build some poles and help with the 360 and help with the backdrops. I mean, I'm not super helpful, but I tried as much as I could. I did have like a custom OnlyFans video that I slipped away at some point and made. I mean, I I was I didn't really provide a lot of people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there was a lot of people that were coming up to me and being like, Dan, can I help you? Dan, can I help you? But the problem is you're running cables and you can really only do it like one, you know, you're running they're all linked together. So it's like one at a time. So you I mean you could have somebody like pass you things and do little things like that, but it's not like you could have a dozen people trying to do it and make it quicker. It would all honestly would probably like bog down, you know.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, where we need help mainly is like carrying the stuff in and out, loading and loading. Um, so we did all of that, and at some point you kind of wrapped everything up, and we kind of threw Mandy a surprise sort of birthday. We did, she didn't really know about it, she knew we were doing dinner. So this was kind of my idea because there was I we knew there was gonna be like 70 rooms checking in on Thursday. So I thought, well, everyone's probably gonna want to go to dinner, and I didn't want to leave anybody out, and I also didn't want to take 70 plus people to like a like a restaurant. So I was like, there was a restaurant on property, and I knew they did pizza, so why don't we just I was like, why don't we just do pizzas?
SPEAKER_00It's like the perfect birthday party, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and I'd gotten her a cake and stuff, and so we set up, they had this really nice patio uh right by the water. So we set up out there and did um and did that. She was honestly, she came up to me and she like was almost about to cry. She was like, Thank you, so nobody's ever done anything like this for me, which made me feel good, but I like doing things like that. That's kind of like my love language. I like giving gifts, I like throwing parties, I like making people happy. So it felt good to me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and and Mandy uh particularly is you know, our all our staff is amazing. Um, but Mandy really is has become kind of the backbone of um our business, uh, not only Swinger Society, but now Electric Pleasures. I mean, she, you know, if you have uh have to cancel your room, if you want to change a room, if uh You're talking to Mandy. If you have an issue with uh the website, um all of that goes through Mandy. Um she deals with the hotels and room changes and you know, putting things on and offline. She does all of the um designs, each event and the the you know, the write-ups and the you know, tracks everything that there is to track um for us. She she really I mean she basically runs um a lot of our business for us and has really become kind of like family. Uh, you know, and we've gone through staff and we've had several people work for us, and she really um is kind of a star, a kind of a stud at doing all that. And uh I don't think this event or really any of our events would be possible without without her.
SPEAKER_05So yeah, and we that's I'm glad you did that because we don't we kind of get wrapped up in what's going on and don't really pause to give people appreciation, and she definitely deserves it. And her husband comes to as many events as he can, and he's like he did help me on all the all the setup, actually. Yeah, I mean, he's always there to jump, not only like to jump in and help, but he's also like just a fun vibe, you know. He like brings the party, and so we're super grateful for them.
SPEAKER_00And is a volunteer. Oh we didn't pay, yeah.
SPEAKER_05We don't pay him. I mean, he gets a room for free because Many gets a room, but you know what I mean. Like he's just he's just there to help, and we really appreciate him. So so it was I was happy to celebrate. Now, I'm gonna talk about one thing that could have been better. The pizza took one hour to come out, uh, and they knew we were coming.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, uh, you're gonna notice there's a theme throughout uh us talking about this weekend uh in the restaurant, and I think it's important to I think I don't want to be come across overly critical of the restaurant uh because I I think they were well intended. Uh I just don't think they were used to what happened. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they're not used to swingers, and I don't think they were prepared.
SPEAKER_00Um, we tried to prepare them, we had conversations with them ahead of time. We kind of tried to tell them what to expect.
SPEAKER_05Um, but you know, business owners think they know what they're doing, and you know they well, especially somebody that's been in the restaurant business for 40 years, I think is what he said. We just know what swingers kind of want and what they're gonna do. And he felt like he knew what people wanted, and swingers are a little different. Um, and so uh and and basically just to give you a little bit of behind the scenes, we wanted the restaurant to not be open to the public.
SPEAKER_00One, because we knew that our people were gonna be swingers, you know, and we we knew they were gonna be running around in thongs and pay and pasties, and you know, so if you had it open to the public, not that there's nothing illegal about walking around in thongs and pasties, but you know, if if I was somebody bringing my little kids to a restaurant and and they were exposed to that, you might not be okay with that, right? Uh so even though it's not illegal, it's not necessarily you know, if people aren't expecting it, it could be shocking and maybe a little bit uncomfortable. So we don't want to upset anybody in the community community. So the the what made the most sense was for them to shut down and then serve our crowd and focus on our crowd. Um, and and that's that's what we we were able to negotiate that with them.
SPEAKER_05Which what ended up what happened is we had to guarantee that they would set make a certain amount of sales um throughout the weekend. So that's why we were trying to help them, help them encourage them. So when we went for this pizza party, they knew we were coming. We had given them like a four or five day notice. We got there. I was hangry by the time the pizza came out. Now, don't get me wrong, the pizza was extremely good. I mean, like we all scarfed it down, but they knew we were coming, and it took an hour for them to even get the pizza. It took them 45, 50 minutes to get a space.
SPEAKER_00Not only did they know where they were coming, they knew what time we were coming, right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And I even told them I'll order 10. I didn't even order pizza. I didn't tell them I want three cheese, two pepperonis, or anything. I just said, get bring me 10 pizzas. I don't care what they are. So they literally could have had them all prepped and just ready to go into the oven when we walked in the door. Um, but that's not what happened. I mean, it took them like probably 50 minutes just to get a salad out. Now, their staff, everybody was wonderful. We ended up getting to know a lot of them throughout the weekend. I mean, I can't say enough about their employees that worked there. And honestly, their food was really like I had some things that were very, very good. So I want to make sure I didn't know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, their menu items, most of them were excellent. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So this is Thursday. Okay. So after the party and all of that, we had cake. Uh, one of our other friends, Dwayne, which we've talked about on the podcast. It's his birthday weekend as well. They brought a king cake because they're from Louisiana. So we did happy birthday. We did all the cakes and then we all kind of scattered. We went to bed. I don't know if other people went to fuck, but we went to bed.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05That was pretty much Thursday.
SPEAKER_00That was our Thursday.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so Friday morning. Um, of course, Dan got up early. Uh Mike and Daphne came in relatively early too. I think like 10-ish, 11. And I mean, it was immediately the party was started.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I was like, if you watch my vlog on TikTok and Instagram and stuff, I was trying to get ready and I was like running around in my pajamas with no brawl on, but then like half of my hair done, just because it's kind of like secrets where your doors are open, they've got these big windows, so it was like people were coming in and out of the rooms. It was definitely a vibe from like morning time on.
SPEAKER_00And people can't, like you said, people came in, so we opened the doors at two o'clock. Uh, you could check in and we started the people checking in early. There was people trying to check in at like 9 a.m. Um, there were people talking about tailgating in the in the parking lot until they could check in. I think most of them we were able to get them checked in early, or at least they came and hung out in the uh in the courtyard area until we could get them checked in. But uh definitely people hit the ground running and ready to party.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, because basically if you got there at check-in, there was already music because music started at two, so like they're automatically and so you had nine DJs, correct? And how how long were their sets? Because I feel like the DJs were changing all day, like all night.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and that's kind of the idea. So if you've ever been to a music festival, you know that most DJ sets aren't more than two hours. I don't think any of I think our longest set was an hour and a half. So basically every hour and a half the DJs were swapping out and the music was changing, which I actually really, really enjoyed. And I I it seemed like most people did enjoy that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So they went from 2 a.m. 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. But there was like an hour there where there was no music, like from nine to ten or so, which I didn't know. So this again, we're kind of learning this. Like, had I would have known that there was that hour, I probably would have planned that hour to like switch from my daytime to my nighttime outfit or have dinner or something like that. I didn't know going into which obviously I should have known that I could have just asked you. I just didn't know to ask you. So I think like as we do more of these, people will start to understand that.
SPEAKER_00Well, and I think I'm gonna change it up. Yeah, so the music started at 2 p.m. and it went to 2 a.m. There was a break between eight and nine o'clock at eight where we closed out the music outside, and then basically the music outside shot shut off at eight, and then it started back up at nine. So that hour block was meant so that we could take there is equipment that we were using outside that needed to move inside both um the VIP couches and also a little bit of DJ equipment uh that had to move. And so that's why the music had to turn off and then turn back on. Um, I think going forward, I'm gonna have enough stuff so that I can at least keep like a playlist music going outside. Yeah. So that because it was more so, I think, on Friday than Saturday. I think maybe people were more prepared for it on Saturday, but it was almost jarring. Yeah. So people, I think, that the music just stopped.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so let's get back to the day. Sorry, I jumped ahead. So everybody got in their rave outfits, which was super fun. I loved all of the outfits personally. And Friday, so if you don't know, a snowstorm has hit everywhere in the US, basically. And so there was a lot of people that had to cancel and we had to rebook because of the stuff, which we were still sold out. We were just people got to move from the overflow hotel, so it was fine. But there was some question: is it gonna be warm enough? Is it gonna be too cold? Friday day was so warm. I had on like pants and like long sleeves.
SPEAKER_00People were driving me crazy about the weather. People a month before the event were texting us and asking us about the weather. What to wear? And am I worried? And is it gonna be too cold and what should they wear? Uh, and then the days leading to now Snow Mageddon is about to hit the United States the same weekend that we're throwing a party at the beach. But if you kept an eye on the weather, the Gulf Shores in Florida was like the one area of the whole country that wasn't super affected, at least not Friday and not Saturday.
SPEAKER_05Friday was beautiful.
SPEAKER_00I mean so Friday was sunny and 70 degrees. Now, once it got dark, it got a little chiller. I think it did get down to the mid-50s Friday night, but Friday day was amazing.
SPEAKER_05And outside we had heaters. Honestly, never really got cold on Friday. I was a little chilly on Saturday, but not Friday. Um, so yeah, I loved seeing everyone's outfit. I loved all the DJs outside. It was fun. There uh was a light show outside on Friday. At some point, we went and we actually ate in the restaurant again. You did the buffet. I had pizza again because I knew it was good. Um, but so we took a break like at five or six and went and did that. And then I guess this is where I struggled, and then this is where the music cutting off kind of threw me for a loop. At Secrets, there's an obvious division between the day party and the night party. You're at the pool all day, then like four or five, you go to your room, you kind of sober up, you have dinner, then you get ready in your night portion outfit, and then you go. Because there was basically music all day. It just I didn't know where that that time period was, which I think I'll get better the more of these we do. And I think people will start to learn and then listening to us, we'll kind of figure it out together. But I think I'll do better next time is figuring out when to eat, when to change, all those things.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So at Secrets, you're right, the pool party is really what sets the day schedule. Yeah. And the pool parties at Secrets go to like from like 11 a.m. Yeah, till like 4 p.m. Yeah. Right. Um, so at this, we didn't start the music till 2 p.m., which I enjoyed, and I think most people enjoyed that it was like a later start. But because it was a later start, we basically ran the music, it never stopped. So, like at your like you're right, at Secrets at 4 or 5 p.m. Everybody's like, okay, they go back to the room, take a nap, take a shower, get some food, change, and then go to the club. Where here the there's no real there's there's there's just that one hour break, which I guess you could then target that. But so anyway, it ended up that you'd had to go eat while there's still music playing, or you know, or whatever.
SPEAKER_05Which is fine. I just it's was my first one, so I didn't know. So I think I'll do better next time, figuring that all out. Me and you were actually talking about so I didn't feel like I'd made a lot of TikToks. I just I I wasn't quite I've kind of got a routine down for secrets, so I've got to make one now for Let's Your Pleasures. Um so after the show, the glow show and all of that, uh, because it was like 7:15, 7:30 on Friday night. And basically we just had hired um a company with their performers came out and did some like a light show basically out there. They were dancing and stuff. Uh so after that I went in and changed. And I that what I did was actually very smart, but I didn't realize I was this smart. It just I just kind of fell into it. But I wore basically just wore lingerie at night. Because I normally at like secrets or any like a hotel take, a lot of those things you do in the pool during the day. So you just wear a bathing suit or what or your nude. And then at night is your like theme outfit, but this was different. So, like my theme outfit was almost like during the day, but then you kind of had like a night portion outfit too. So I just went with lingerie and it worked out because the club was like three degrees away from hell. It went and that would be one of the critiques. And the problem is it was a quality in hotel that was probably like 50 years old. 50-year-old air conditioned, it just could not keep up. It was so hot, but it ended up working out because I had that little to no clothing on. Yeah, you can't really see hardly any pictures and video of me because all the social media platforms want to ban it, but yeah.
SPEAKER_00No, I think that's actually a good, you know. Like I think what you said, I think this electric pleasure thing is new and it's kind of this hybrid between a swinger hotel takeover and a music festival. So, like, what do you do? Like music festivals, you know, people show up at noon and and rave till two o'clock in the morning, and I think they're in the same outfit the whole time.
SPEAKER_05But because we're in a hotel and you can change, and like I didn't really want to wear the same outfit all day. I wanted to change for the night.
SPEAKER_00Well, and I think also because it is alternative lifestyle friendly, I think wearing a rave type outfit during the day party and then switching into a naughty lingerie type outfit for the night party is kind of fits the vibe, right? It's kind of like this is a music festival, but a little bit dirtier, like a little bit sexier. So I could see maybe that becoming more normal for people.
SPEAKER_05And there also is like rave wear that is a little bit more sexy.
SPEAKER_00There's some rave wear that's basically lingerie, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like Pacis and a thong, you know, like you could totally have gotten away with that in the club. It was that hot.
SPEAKER_00There was people in that exact thing, yeah.
SPEAKER_05So so yeah, I loved the night portion in the it was a ballroom that we had kind of transformed into a club. Uh my only critique was the heat. It was beyond hot. But that's pretty standard for hotel takeovers. You put that many bodies in a room like that, dancing, grinding on each other. It's just bound to happen.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I love the vibe. I think it was, you know, we've we talked a lot about the speakeasy at Naughty, New Orleans, uh, which was like a low ceiling um suite that they turned into it. So this was a smaller ballroom that had low ceilings. Uh, we put our DJ equipment in there with the lasers. We put two stripper poles on either side of the DJ equipments. We had some VIP couches in there. It very much had like this base mini, you know, speakeasy like yeah, like old school back room, like yeah, kind of underground club type.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and the fact that it wasn't like the night, like it wasn't the fanciest hotel, the fancy, it kind of leaned into that. It kind of like made the vibe even better. You know, it wasn't like a standard cookie cut or ballroom.
SPEAKER_00I I even would say I think it being hot and sweaty was kind of part of the vibe too. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Like, I agree. Um, and then like, you know, we had two stripper poles and we had, you know, these ladies that were there dancing, and they were amazing. And there, the one lady, which you can see her a little bit on one of my TikToks, you know, was a beautiful plus size lady, and she had on this like glow lingerie, and she looked, and that to me, everything about that just screamed alternative lifestyle and like embracing everyone in all sizes and all colors, and it just made me like very proud to be a part of it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, she was a person of color as well. And and I will say that throughout the weekend, I definitely, you know, when we made Electric Pleasures, it says it right on the banner on the website that this is an LGBT uh friendly group and that we welcome everybody, and it's for any alternative lifestyle or music, and you can be a music person and not be a swinger, you can be a swinger and not a, you know, it's whatever, it's just an open-minded environment where people come together. And it felt like that. I mean, there were people there that were just straight rave people and and were not swingers or we're not, you know, that weren't swapping, weren't non-monogamous. Uh, there were swingers there that probably had never been to a music festival before that were there.
SPEAKER_05Was people one guy who had three wives there, and one of his wives was in like a hover round, like a mobile scooter, you know. Um, I don't know what her disability was, but she, you know, obviously needed that. I mean, it was pretty awesome. And at some point, somebody came up to me and said, I don't know who swingers and who's not. And part of me was like, Good, that's the point. Yeah, you know, they were kind of not complaining, but you know, kind of like, but I'm like, that's what we were going for. We wanted this to be a safe place for everyone, regardless. You know, you could just be a girl who loves music and likes to have her tits out, but you're 100% monogamous, and you are so welcome here. Yeah, and I love that about it. And my point, like, to me is like go talk to people, get to know them, ask those questions, you know.
SPEAKER_00At what point in time, I think it was the next night, the the lady in the uh mobility chair was getting a lap dance as she was driving around.
SPEAKER_05No, for sure. It was amazing. She also had a neon sign on the front of her that said free love. And I don't know what it was wired to or how it was working, but she was wonderful. I love it. She had rainbow hair, she was awesome.
SPEAKER_00There were dogs walking around with rainbow clothes on, and it was a vibe.
SPEAKER_05It was a total vibe. Uh but that look I want to talk about the DJ before we move on. The DJs at night.
SPEAKER_00So you DJ'd uh it was just in time, you, me, Juan Deepa, and uh on Friday night, um, filthy frequency was a dubstep DJ finished. And I will say the music, I mean, from Sophie's girl bop music, uh to me playing more like hip-hop remixes with EDM music, uh, to Juan Deepa and his you know deep house to uh you know filthy frequency and Max, who played some dubstep. Um Max was playing some I guess deep bass, like Denver deep bass.
SPEAKER_05I don't know what it was, but I loved it.
SPEAKER_00Wampy, wompy stuff that just like made your heart shake.
SPEAKER_05Like this small town southern girl who knows nothing about anything. I loved it. Yeah, I mean, like I loved all of it, and I thought they all killed it. You know, every single one brought something different, and that's what I loved about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, I think that's when you when you give a DJ an hour, an hour and a half set, they can pour their heart and soul into that as opposed to traditionally lifestyle events. You know, DJ's up there playing four, five, six, seven, uh, eight hours. At some point in time, they're just shuffling music more than they really are DJing. Uh, where at this event, I mean, they were dancing, they were singing, they were jumping up and down. They they mean they were providing that, they were giving their energy to the crowd and the crowd responding to it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I mean, they were totally the entertainers. It was not just somebody up there hitting buttons, they they were really fun. Um, but yeah, I mean, I loved the club, I thought it was awesome. Uh at one point, the one of the owners, not us, but one of the he was like, nobody's in the playroom. And I was like, because Dan's DJing. Because you had the like you had the second to last set on Friday night. And it was like you didn't come off until 12:30. So everybody was ready to go play. And I was like, Dan gets off in five minutes. Can y'all wait? And everybody's like, we'll wait, we'll wait. And so it was like a joke. When you came off, I mean, I'm sure you were exhausted, but we were like, let's go, let's go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I will say, um, this is probably the only time where I was like, I'm okay if we don't go fuck right now. Yeah. Uh, and I felt like that all weekend, and it's because I was just balls to the wall. Yeah. Uh, you know, basically two days of unloading trailers and and putting up equipment and all that, and then to go from that to trying to DJing and kind of putting all your energy into that. I think when that set finished on Friday night, I was like, I could go lay down and go to bed right now. Um, but the the the the crowd was definitely like, we need to go fuck.

SPEAKER_00Which is probably the only time in history ever where I was ready to go to bed and you were ready to go fuck.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So we haven't told a story of Tri-Mex yet. We have purposely not told y'all. Um, and the reason we didn't tell the story on the podcast is because it really wasn't like a swinger, swinger thing. Even though we swung. Yeah. But we filmed it. But we haven't talked about that. Um, but we haven't talked about it because it was really just one night, and um it didn't, I don't think it warranted a whole podcast. But uh right before, right after New Year's, we went to Nashville with um Southern Swap. Southern Swap, Tiffany Bell and um her husband, and we were making content, and at some point she wanted to do well, we did four videos.
SPEAKER_00So we we did two videos, yeah. Uh, and then we went to do a third video, and she wanted to do DVP, and I was struggling to maintain my erection during that. Which, if you've ever done DVP, like it's just awkward to get into that position and and do that, which it's super hot to do. Um, but with condoms and and and awkward maneuvering, it can be hard to maintain an erection.
SPEAKER_05So we did the thing that we tell you not to do, but we were 100% sober.
SPEAKER_00So well, we were sober and they had the reversal with a party. We were somebody there was medically trained.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, there was a nurse. So uh he the husband takes the dick shot, and she was like, I can give you a shot, which is tri-mex. We talked about it on the bar, I guess, and Dan was like, Okay.

SPEAKER_05Yeah. So you did it, and it was fucking amazing. It was um he came. Uh you immediately took the reversal because we were actually going, it was like midday. We were going to dinner after uh we did our work first and then went to dinner. So uh you immediately did the reversal and everything. It went down. Literally the next day, I was like, send me the link. So um we ordered it, it came in. Um, and so this was the first time we didn't even get a chance to practice at home or anything like this. This was the first time, and it actually kind of worked out because you were so exhausted, you probably you don't you kind of got it for content, not so much swinging, correct?
SPEAKER_03Correct, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um, but because you were so exhausted, and because there was a hundred nurses there, not really, but there's probably five or six because there's so many nurses there. We were like, okay, nurse, somebody come teach Dan how to do this. So Jersey couple, she came, taught Dan how to do it, and immediately it worked. So this is right before we go into the playwright Friday night.

SPEAKER_00And so, you know, again, we're a little bit limited on time, but what I did like about what is nice about Trimax is it it's basically a guarantee. Yeah. Right. Now I will say it probably matters less if you're drunk or something like that, but that's again, I would not be not sober and trying to mess with these shots. That I'm not do not do that. Yeah, we had cleaned up really nice, we had gotten some lights, lights, mattress covers. Obviously, you just want to protect everything. There was a sex wing, um, a lot of stuff like that. Uh things we could have done better. We didn't have any water in there, which we know better than that. So that's obviously something that we'll fix for next time. There could have been more towels, we'll fix that for next time. So we're learning, you know, we're getting there. But it was, I had a great time. I fucked, I I can sit here and count, but I think four guys, I thought it was five. I don't know why I counted. I counted somebody that I I thought I fucked, but I didn't. Um, but it was it was a good time.
SPEAKER_00I also had a good time. So I would say, you know, I kind of pulled the you where I was like, you know what, we could just go to bed and I'd be happy. And then you talked me into going to the playroom, and I loved every minute of it.

SPEAKER_00Uh I got to connect with Buffy, who I haven't um got to play with for a while. Um fucking her while saying you're stretching out my pussy and it feels so good, um, is something that's gonna live in my memory probably for um a while. Uh I got to fuck Jersey, who I have not fucked in a while. I got to fuck Daphne, who I haven't got to fuck with. Let's hit or miss in a little while. Um and yeah, overall it was just a good time.
SPEAKER_05I fucked somebody new, and I don't know their screen name, so I'm I'm gonna choose not to say it, but he knows who he is if he listens. Um he was very shy, and I pretty much started putting the vibe out the night before. And um I was then floored, and then I kind of just scooped him up. I was just like, he was standing there and I was like, hey, you wanna you wanna do this? And I because I kind of knew that he probably wouldn't have asked me, which again is not like me. I'm not, I mean, I'm either hit or miss. I'm either shy, you don't say nothing, or I'll scoop you up real quick. And that's kind of what I did. I was like, hey, do you want to play? And he was like, Yeah, absolutely. Um, you didn't play with a wife, which I would have loved to have seen that, and I think she would have enjoyed that, but maybe next time. Um, but yeah, it was a really a fun, a fun time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there was a lot of people here over the weekend that I would have really liked the fuck same. Uh I, you know, I think because when I was running around like a crazy person, I didn't get as much opportunity to connect um physically with people, even like you know, typically when we are on the dancing and stuff like that, like I'm making out with people. Um you know, you're you're touching and feeling on people. I I basically didn't get any of that. It was like run around like crazy, run around like crazy DJ, and everybody's like, Okay, let's go fuck now. It's like, okay, let's go fuck, you know. So I think I especially like you're saying this was a new person. I I didn't really get to know her, so that's probably why that connection didn't happen.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, um, it kind of reminded me of like a mini secrets. So there was a lot of friends there that we've played with in the past, a lot of potential that I honestly would have been happy to play with any and all of them. So it kind of worked, you know. I mean, I'm glad we got that chance that we did. Um, but yeah, there was a lot more people that I would have loved to engage with that we didn't get a chance to do.

SPEAKER_00I asked her, I'm like, is it art if I go down on you? She's like, Yeah, okay. And then I got I did that, and I think she came and then I got up and I was like, Do you want me to fuck you? SPEAKER_05Yeah, we I And I knew that, yeah. I even texted him today and we were like joking about something, and she even brought it up. She was like, Maybe next time I won't turn you down, Dan, or something like that. So it's fine. So after that, we went to bed, but you and then well, we didn't go to bed. We fucked and you came, and then I went to bed and then your hard on one go down.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, my dick was still hard. Yeah. And so this is a part of the trimex thing is dialing in the dosage, and it does not take very much to keep your dick hard. Um, but it, you know, if you take too much, it uh you need the reversal to go down. So I obviously I took probably a little bit more than I need to, um, but I took the reversal when it went, you know, I was kind of waiting to see if it would go down naturally without having to take reversal. SPEAKER_00They're little needle. I mean, they're they're mid-sized needles. Um, but I think because I've been on testosterone and stuff, and I'm just so used to sticking needles in me that it wasn't that big a deal, no.

SPEAKER_05So I did not drink a lot. I did like some fireball at night, but I honestly I found myself drinking less. I just was having fun organically. I didn't really need a whole lot. Um, so it was fun. I had a great time. Okay, we need to move to Saturday because we're we're running over time.

SPEAKER_00I was exhausted.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I was too. I'm sure you were, and you kind of immediately went into like work mode, and then you came back, and at some point we went and had like a late breakfast lunch, slash lunch, which again was subpar. Was subpar and overexpensive, very, um, yeah, very we're we'll just leave it at that. Uh we got back to the room, it was 1:30, and the room crawl started at three. So I was like, oh shit. So you had gone to like start the music and all that. So I got ready and then started setting up for the room crawl. And so I was supposed to do a room crawl, and so was Daphne, because we didn't have a lot of people sign up to do room crawl, which was another criticism that we got in the reviews. More rooms. The problem is we couldn't convince people to do rooms. Um, so I was setting up for the room crawl, and somehow Daphne decided to just like jump in your room. Jump in mine. So then we cut it by another one. Um, I don't think I don't think she was as prepared as me just saying that.
SPEAKER_00I love her, but she's not, you know, yeah, she's hit or miss with I think we had five rooms, and I think two of them dropped out. So I think we had like three rooms in the room crawl, which is not enough.
SPEAKER_05We we really need like six or seven, not and some what's crazy is like sometimes we have to tell people like no or cut it down because there's too many. But this it was new.
SPEAKER_00New group, I think. Yeah, take a while to get used to it, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um, but I danced in my room crawl look like a kid's birthday party.
SPEAKER_00It kind of did, yeah.
SPEAKER_05But I thought I didn't.
SPEAKER_00If you threw your kid a pineapple birthday party, you would have decorated it and done exactly what Lacey did. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Listen, my drink was good, and that's all that really mattered. And they got prizes. They got stickers, they got bracelets, they got sprouts, they got all the things. So it was good. I got to meet a lot of people, it was fun. I enjoyed it. You were gone basically the entire Rim Crawl. What were you, what were you doing?
SPEAKER_00I don't even remember. Couldn't even tell you.
SPEAKER_05Which is kind of um our typical. You're very rarely there at secrets. Somehow it, but the good thing is Daphne was in their mic, and so we kind of us three kind of did it together. But it was fun to it was I think it was like an hour and a half or so, and it was pretty constant of people coming in. Some people came back and got seconds, which I was cool.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05We ended up having a decent amount of shots left. I did like a sex on the beach type theme, and so I ended up putting the table out in the walkway with shot glass, and people drank on it all night, which made me feel good because they everybody liked it. So I appreciated that. Um, after the room crawl, which I wore, I ended up ordering too many outfits.
SPEAKER_00No way. What? So you bought too much stuff?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I never do that. No way. So for the room crawl, I wore something that was it was a little bit chillier on Saturday. It was probably the same temperature, but the sun wasn't out. So it wasn't.
SPEAKER_00It was like 60 instead of 70. It was like 10 degrees cooler, and the sun wasn't out. It definitely Saturday was chillier.
SPEAKER_05Um, and one of my outfits was like sleeveless, basically. It's like a halter um type thing. So I wore that for the rune crawl so I could get pictures and video, and then changed after that. So after the rune crawl, I put on this like probably one of my more favorite outfits I've ever worn. It was this like jeweled bodysuit type thing. It was two pieces of it.
SPEAKER_00It's a zipper incident.
SPEAKER_05Um I tried it on a home, but I did not zip it up. Um, the zipper was stuck, but not because I was fat.
SPEAKER_00It was it kept catching on like the part of the cloth that was on it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so I'm gonna have to take it and have the zipper replaced. It was um it wasn't cheap, but it wasn't the most expensive, but it was definitely worth replacing the zipper to wear it again at some point. Um, but I love the outfit. To me, I look like I when I dress up in rave clothes and stuff, I look like a clown. Like I can't even take myself seriously, but it's also so much fun. It's like the most ridiculous, the most wacky you can be. You're perfect.
SPEAKER_00Basically, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So I put on my outfit and then went and hung out with everybody.
SPEAKER_00I put on an outfit as well.
SPEAKER_05Yes, you had um an electric pleasures baseball jersey. Oh, you put your lifeguard outfit on? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because at some point you've probably seen on TikTok.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So we did a polar plunge, and Dan said that if 10 people jump in the water, that he would jump via. And did you not think you would have 10 people?
SPEAKER_00Well, so here's the thing: leading up to it, we did the polar bear plunge, and you thought I was crazy. The girls that we work with were like, nobody's gonna jump in the water. It's too cold.
SPEAKER_05I thought people would jump in the water. I just knew I wasn't.
SPEAKER_00So Lacey got me this life uh guard outfit, which is pretty good. I mean, it's got a visor, a t-shirt, I had red sunglasses, I had a whistle that I was obnoxious with, and I had like one of those Baywat like red float things.
SPEAKER_05Like a flotation device.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that like a lifeguard would have, but it was like a blow-up one, like a cheesy blow-up one. So anyway, I come out in my lifeguard thing, and I'm like blowing my whistle to the music, and people are all like laughing at me and think I'm ridiculous, which I I was a little ridiculous. So then I get up on the microphone and I'm like, okay, five minutes till the polar bear plunge. And I said, I'm gonna make you guys a promise because everybody's telling me nobody's gonna jump in the water. If 10 or more people jump in the water, I will also jump in the water. In hindsight, I should have said a much higher number than that. That's not a very big number. Figuring there was like 500 people there, 10 is not a very big number.
SPEAKER_05There wasn't 500 people outside though.
SPEAKER_00No, but I mean after that.
SPEAKER_05How many people do you think jumped?
SPEAKER_00I don't know, 20, 20, maybe 20 to 25.
SPEAKER_05It was more than I thought. It looked like a lot around. And what you didn't jump with everybody else, you jumped after, but like I didn't feel like enough time had passed, so I was like just kind of recovering from everybody jump. And then all of a sudden I hear your whistle and you take off running. I barely got it recorded, but I did.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, so I was gonna go out there and like count everybody down and stuff with the microphone, but the microphone wouldn't reach out to the pool. It wasn't enough, you know, the it didn't reach that far. And so I had to like count them down underneath the tent, and that's why I couldn't jump with them. Uh then once they all jumped, I put the microphone down and then I just ran out there and jumped in while blowing my whistle obnoxiously. Yeah, that water was cold, it was for freezing. I bet the weird take your breath away cold.
SPEAKER_05Like that's funny.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um, it was good, it was fun. A lot of people did it. I was happy. I mean, it seemed like a lot of people liked it too.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, it was kind of funny.
SPEAKER_05It was funny it was just kind of like an activity to kind of give people something to do. Um, I obviously wasn't gonna like at five o'clock, I'm not gonna get my hair wet. No. I'd I'd had to go to the room for two hours. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So anyway, I went back and showered after that to just like a nice warm shower. Now, I will say those showers didn't get that warm. Uh, even you know, people were like, Oh, there's too many people, and there wasn't enough hot water. It it wasn't that, it was that that water just didn't get because we were there all week, it was like that. We were there on like a Tuesday, and I think there was like 10 people in the whole hotel. Yeah, and that water still, the max temperature was like lukewarm.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh, but anyway, it still felt good. Um, and so that's when I got changed into the Electric Pleasures outfit.
SPEAKER_05Okay. And then that so that was at five. There we were supposed to have a fire show Saturday night, but the winds were pretty windy.
SPEAKER_00It was windy. Um, there were some some concerns about that. Um, so we decided instead of starting a fire, and it was raining off and on as well. Uh so we decided it'd probably be best to not do that. Uh actually they decided, and so they just they used the same like LED stuff they used the day before, but just made them fire colored instead of so that instead of their LEDs being blue, they were like orange and red and stuff.
SPEAKER_05Oh, I guess I didn't even notice that. So yeah, they came out, they did another fire show, which was awesome. And then after so this is when I start to figure out, okay, this is when I go in. So we had ate earlier. I had ordered um chili. We finally just said forget the restaurant. We weren't doing that. I ordered chilies and got you and Mike a steak, and then I got you know some appetizers. And so we had had dinner. So after the light show, I went in, tried to rest my feet, even though I didn't have like heels or anything on, my feet were killing me just from standing. I had done like 20,000 steps each day, and I wasn't even running around crazy.
SPEAKER_00I wonder what mine was.
SPEAKER_05I know, I wonder. Um, so there's no telling. So I kind of just like sat down for like 30, 45 minutes, which I didn't really do that the night before. I was trying to like reserve some energy for the night portion. It ended up just because of the way the hotel, there's so many people coming in and out, so much going on that it was kind of hard to rest really. But I we got ready, we got changed because the club portion opened at night. So um this night I just wore none of my outfits, well, I guess my the first night I wore blue, but the second night the theme was orange, and I had like a magenta color laundry set on.
SPEAKER_00I just fit, so it works.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I just was like, I'm not what did you think about?
SPEAKER_00So you know, that's a distinct thing. So for electric pleasures, instead of us having like pirate or you know, like themed outfits, it's just we were setting colors.
SPEAKER_05Um the colors kind of went with the location. So we did like beach, like water, the sunset. I loved it. Um honestly, some I I love a good theme. You know, I'm a swinger through and through, so I do really love a good theme. Sometimes it can be a little much, you know. So I genuinely enjoyed the um colors, the colors of Electric. I think that was really fun. For somehow, you you called it last night. We accidentally picked basically the same colors for the next one, which that was a total.
SPEAKER_00Last night I was looking at, you know, because we're starting to promote the mark. We have another um event in March in Atlanta, and so we were starting to promote that now that you know the Gulf Breeze one's over. And I was looking at it, I'm like, are these the same colors? And they're they're called different things, you know.
SPEAKER_05But they're roughly the same.
SPEAKER_00But they basically it's blue and red or blue and orange.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's blue and magenta, which is funny because I wore blue and magenta.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But you know, I really loved it. I felt it left a lot of self-expression. If you just wanted to be pretty basic with it, you could. If you wanted to be elaborate, you could. And I genuinely enjoy that. And I think it's easier for people like to dress in a color than it is to come up with a whole ass pirate outfit or whatever. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00One less likely to see the same thing, I think. I didn't see many, I don't think I have any matching outfits. Like you do because they wanted to. Yeah. But you always see that at Swinger Rubens. For sure. People wearing the same thing from Amazon.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So we went to the club. I had DoorDashed two fans. So we had we had fans. It didn't help any.
SPEAKER_00Um it helped some, but it was it still was hot.
SPEAKER_05It was very hot. Uh but the club again was amazing. Uh I don't know how I mean and this night, Juan Deepa's wife.
SPEAKER_00I was gonna say her name, but I won't.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I don't say her name. Um, she is a pole dancing instructor. Like she has a corporate, normal, everyday job, but she actually teaches pole dancing, and she is amazing. And so she came, and the girlfriend of one of the other DJs, which I think is their best friends, she came too, and they both so we had two polls, they both performed during uh one deep set. Amazing. And they are so good.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh, better than any stripper I've ever seen. Like in real life, like yeah, and they were doing handstands and they were putting themselves vertical and upside down and sliding down in the splits and like doing things you didn't know you could do with a pole. Yeah. Um, and they're both beautiful women. Um, so it that it was pretty hot set.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it was very you so you DJ'd earlier.
SPEAKER_00So it went Justin to me to Juan to Max.
SPEAKER_05I have to give a shout out to Justin because I so he's just in time. I gave him shit on this podcast a while ago and said that he looked like a Jehovah's Witness. And he has never let me live that down. He came fully prepared, he had on a mesh neon green shirt.
SPEAKER_00I saw that, yeah.
SPEAKER_05And he his wife said he said, like he's gonna be so proud of me. So I have to give him credit. He killed it on the outfits. Um, he did not look like a Jehovah's Witness. Maybe if the Jehovah's Witness was going to a rave.
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_05Um, but he uh yeah, so the DJ lineup was really, really good. You did good. I like that you were a little bit earlier this time than the night before. Um Max came on after. Everybody was trying to go play kind of like after I got done DJing. Well, yeah, but the problem was is it was like everybody wanted to see the pole dancing though. Yeah, so everybody was a little later. So they were like going to play at like 1:30, and you had to cut the music off at two.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_05So if we would have gone, you would have had to leave. So and we were exhausted, so we didn't play.
SPEAKER_00We actually I basically I skipped play, which shows you how tired I was, yeah, right? Because you would never if you'd told me like Dan, you're gonna be tired, too tired to go fuck, I'd have been like, no. But it was it was a combination of well, I gotta be back here in 30 minutes, so that's kind of pointless. Yeah, and also I'm exhausted. Yeah. So I was not upset to not go play.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, for sure. Uh there was a lot of people that I wanted to, and like people were like coming back and being like, Are y'all going? You know, like there was plenty of opportunity. It sucked that we had to miss out on it.
SPEAKER_00But it's part of the when you're working the event and trying to party at it at the same time. That's one of the things. Now I will say I also didn't want to miss any of the music because like Juan Deepa's set was amazing, but that Max guy that went after him, he played some music I've never even heard before. And but it was like your whole body would like shake and like and it was just like this deep trance kind of music, it just it fit the vibe like perfectly.
SPEAKER_05And there were people in there, like still dancing, like a decent amount of people at 2 a.m. Both of them. Like when he cut the music off. I mean, there was still a decent amount of people.
SPEAKER_00People are like, boo. I know, and it was just really people are coming up to me and asking, they're like, Can we keep going? Can we keep going? And I was like, No, we we have to break down, we have to go home. We have to sleep because we have to leave tomorrow.
SPEAKER_05Because we stayed for that you know extra 30 minutes and just kind of stood around and it was a much thinned out crowd. We got to meet a lot of people, we got to thank them for coming, uh, people that we had never met. So it was really it was it was nice to be able to do that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, one thing we didn't talk about that I want to touch on real quick is Friday during the day, the music, we trip breakers.
SPEAKER_05You know, not one person mentioned that in the reviews.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I thought that was I was freaking the fuck out. Uh so if you don't so because it's a 50-year-old hotel, we we had done, we went and we did a um like a pre-site survey, and we actually got with the maintenance people and asked them, you know, hey, what's this plug go to? How big is this breaker? What's this plug go to? How big is this breaker? And we had a whole electricity plan. Uh turns out what they told us was not what was actually the case. So we ended up blowing some breakers and uh that we actually blew like a breaker, we got it fixed, and then we blew another breaker and then we got that fixed. So the Friday the music went out like three times because of breakers, and I was extremely frustrated. Um, but most people didn't really seem to care.
SPEAKER_05Um, I showed them my titties every time it went out, even though we had a pasty policy. I broke the rules and was like, look, titties. Yeah. And I feel like I saved the day.
SPEAKER_00So that's another area. You know, you're saying self-critique. I I think we need to actually trace out some of these breakers and make sure they're what they're that not just go off of what the random maintenance guys do.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we have gave the shout-out to the nurses, shout out to the electricians that were there that that came in and helped.
SPEAKER_00We had electricians, real deal electricians that were just there as members that were helping us sort some of that stuff out. So thank thank you.
SPEAKER_05It takes a village dick shots, music, and the whole thing. So um, but yeah, that was that was pretty much it. Uh we did end up staying until Monday. A lot of people got stuck. I know there's some people that are still there, actually. It's Wednesday. Uh the breaking down process was a nightmare. I'm not gonna lie. Uh, it's a lot of equipment. We could have done a better job of like scheduling people to be there to help because I feel like I could have helped you better, even though I can't really do electronics, so I don't, I would have been like more of like a moral support. But we you and I were like un like loading up in like pretty gnarly cold weather at nine, ten o'clock at night, and we were kind of both pretty dead. So I think that's something that we need to improve on for next time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, another thing is uh so Sunday it it basically rained off and on, like thunderstorms pouring rain off and on on the water. And the temperature dropped and it dropped. It went from, you know, it was 60 degrees on Saturday to I think it was in the 40s, maybe 50s, probably 40s. Uh, and then at some point later in the night when we actually packed the trailer, I think it got into the like the the 30s, not not below freezing, but like high 30s.
SPEAKER_05Well, and we were also right on that water, and so the wind, and that's probably what got me is like because when we were unloading, we're right there by the water, and that wind coming off would like cut you into two.
SPEAKER_00So Sunday, sometime or I don't know, one, two o'clock, I'm in the ballroom breaking down the DJ equipment that was inside. So the plan was we were gonna break down the inside, load that into the trailer, and then go break down the outside and load that into the trailer. So I'm inside the club breaking down the DJ equipment, and Lacey comes walking in and says, Dan, the tent is about to blow away. And I look at her and I look outside. So in the ballroom there, we had a cut the doors open, and I look outside, I'm like, it doesn't, I'm like, it doesn't look that bad. So I look back at Lacey and I'm like, those tents are rated for 40 miles an hour.
SPEAKER_01I bet that wind was 40 miles.
SPEAKER_0040 mile an hour winds. Like I bet it was close to it. It's not gonna go anywhere. She's like, you need to come outside.
SPEAKER_05Well, I was worried about the equipment. I mean, there was a lot of money worth of equipment underneath that tent.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I go outside, and when I get out the front doors, it is clearly 30 plus mile an hour winds. There's like five people in the tent just hanging on to it as the the the walls are are um like coming undone and blowing sideways. Uh the whole tent is shaking. So when I looked outside from the the indoor ballroom, I'm looking outside on the back side of the hotel. The wind was all on the front side of the hotel. So the hotel was kind of blocking the wind. So it didn't seem windy on the block.
SPEAKER_05Well, because it's right there by the water, so like all of that wind was it was something else.
SPEAKER_00Uh so anyway, I run out to the tent through the the hurricane, and we had to get some rat, we got some ratchet. So these people are, you know.
SPEAKER_05Well, keep in mind we're also under a tornado warning. So we've had 70 degrees. Now it's freezing, and we're under a tornado warning. And it's, I mean, a tornado we had all weather.
SPEAKER_00Uh so anyway, we we ended up getting the one wall that was facing the wind, like strapped, ratchet strapped, so that it's blocking most of the rain that's coming in. And some of our equipment got a little bit wet, nothing was damaged, thankfully. The tent, um, thankfully, shout out to whoever set up that tent because they they stinked that thing down real good, uh, and it didn't go anywhere. So we survived what was basically a small hurricane. Um, so basically, we and then we had to wait for that to finish, uh, go back out there, wipe everything down, then finish packing. We did not get done packing out the trailer until I don't know, 10, 11 o'clock at night. And it was it was an all-day process.
SPEAKER_05You were like really dead. I was pretty exhausted, but you really you were- I don't know if I got eight hours of sleep the entire weekend.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05And then the question was, how do we leave? When do we leave? How do we get home? Because like a snowstorm had hit basically everywhere, schools are canceled. Um, my mom had a procedure on Tuesday, yesterday. So I was like, I've got to get home because she's gotta have somebody to drive her. So at some point I was like, I'm done. You gotta get me home. Like, I don't know if it takes us, it's about a five-hour drive for us, five and a half. I was like, I don't care if it takes us 10 hours. Let's get out of here. So Monday, you know, we're loading up our personal belongings. We realized that we we we couldn't find the phone, which is the phone that y'all call when you do Tuesday talks.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That was a same phone we use for the 360 camera.
SPEAKER_05That was a whole deal ordeal.
SPEAKER_00We spent a couple hours tracking down the phone. It ends up that we had left it in the well in one of the rooms and it got turned into the front desk.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So we find and then we like are trying to load the car, which I pulled it up. It said it felt like 17. This is at the beach. It felt like 17 degrees outside. It was so cold, but we finally got loaded, got in the car, and got the hell out of there. And we got home Monday at probably about 6:30. And then that's when y'all y'all heard Tuesday talk earlier this week. We realized we hadn't we didn't have a podcast.
SPEAKER_00On the drive home Monday night, we realized, oh crap, we didn't re pre-record our Tuesday talk podcast.
SPEAKER_05Which we're pretty, usually pretty good about like Which we'll never do that again.
SPEAKER_00Um, so yeah, we had to get home, drop the trailer, and then basically come to the studio, record a podcast so that then I could edit it and get it posted so that it would come out Tuesday morning. Um, and so I I think I was up till 12 o'clock, one o'clock in the morning getting that edited and posted.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh so it was man, it was a weekend.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it was. We're still like because I, you know, I still hear it in our voice or still. My mom was, you know, had a procedure the next morning, you know, so we had to be there right and early, and then today we had to be up early. So we have just been um we just haven't really quite caught up with on our sleeve and my back's hurting from lifting and all the things.
SPEAKER_00Taking all that dick. Um, but I will say, um, to wrap this up because we are a little over on time, one of my favorite events, and I hear I I say this every fucking time. Um, but electric pleasures, you know, we what when was it back in October, November? We sat down at the kitchen table with um uh Bobby and and um our our business partner um from Open Instinct uh and his wife and me and you, and um we just brained. We just decided we want to do hotel takeovers together, and we and we said, Well, what is this gonna look like? And I said, Well, me and Lacey have been wanting wanting to do something that's more festival, you know, it's kind of the direction that Swingers been going in, but I think if we rebranded it in a way that wasn't specific to swingers, that would be more inviting to everybody, and but you know, we we sat at the table for uh what did you say, like four or five, six, eight hours planning all this, and then to go four months later from an idea um to an event and executing it, and not only executing it and having it go you know be successful, but execute and you know sold out and all that, but it uh actually I think being what we envisioned, like it really seemed like it was an alternative lifestyle music festival, and it it lived up to that in so many different ways, from people having orgies in the desire space to people getting flogged on the dance floor or on the outside by the main stage. You know, they they had a flogging bench out there at one point in time, and as people are dancing around this lady, she's getting flogged as there's lasers and stuff going on above her, um to the diversity that you saw there, people of all um different colors and people of all different sexualities. Uh it it really is an amazing thing. And uh, I know um, you know, Bobby and his wife actually got emotional at one point in time looking at the crowd. Uh, you know, there was a full packed dance floor at like three o'clock in the afternoon um outside uh in like 50 degree weather. And so there were several times throughout the weekend when we stopped and we're like, is this this this is happening? Like we did this. This is real.
SPEAKER_05What I think is also really cool is we pulled that off in four months. Imagine what we could do in eight months, a year, four years. I'm excited for it. And you know, we've said this a lot of times swimming society's not going anywhere. This is just a different brand. I think there's a a person for each, and there's people that can do both.
SPEAKER_00I think if you were there, you see the clear difference.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's definitely different. Yeah, so I don't, you know, I think that's important. We try to make sure we reassure everyone that swimmer society is not going anywhere. However, there have been opportunities where we could have we could have learned from some of the things that we did do with swinger society and maybe do it a little bit differently this time. So we're using that as opportunities. But we still love and we love swinger society, we love what it stands for. We love how it, you know, how amazing it is, but excited for to do this as well.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Uh so if you came out to Electro Pleasures, thank you um for making the first event successful. Um, if you were there, I think you felt the energy. I think you saw it. So many people came up to us after and we were like, this is the best event I've ever been to.
SPEAKER_05Which is like crazy because it was like kind of a cra shitty hotel. I mean, like, I mean that in the like the the nicest way possible. It was not a quality hotel. Yeah, it was a quality and it was not a five-star hotel. And it was in January. So for people to have that reaction, like really speaks volumes to me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I agree. Uh so anyway, we're gonna do it again in March.
SPEAKER_05And and then in June.
SPEAKER_00And then again in June. Um, so if you're interested, if this kind of you know, music festival vibes at a uh alternative lifestyle friendly environment sounds good to you. Um, maybe if you're uh curious about um alternative lifestyles, but you're not ready to say you're a swinger, maybe you just like music, maybe you're a furry, maybe you're you know, I don't I don't care who you are.
SPEAKER_05Maybe you just want your tits out.
SPEAKER_00All right. Maybe you just want to come to a friendly environment. I think electric pleasures could be the brand for you. Uh and you can find links um for the March event in Atlanta in the Chattanooga event in June.
SPEAKER_05Uh if you go to that and it been announced, did you just give a little I might have just announced it?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. It's about to come out, so hold on to your hats. We'll be in Chattanooga in June. The contract's signed, so I don't feel bad saying it. I would predict that after this weekend, uh, and I'm already seeing it in the ticket sales, that the March tickets are not going to last much longer.
SPEAKER_05We were already halfway sold out going into last week's party. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So and I think, yeah, there was quite like a dozen people that booked at the party, and then people have been booking it up left and right since then.
