Splash Houston Recap: Dj Booths, Pool Parties, and Dance Floors | Episode 248
In this episode of The Swing Nation Podcast, Dan and Lacy are recapping their weekend at Splash Houston — and it was one for the books!
Dan spent a big part of the weekend behind the DJ booth for his first official paid DJ gig, which means he’s officially gone pro! While Dan was busy keeping the party going, Lacy found herself navigating parts of the event solo and feeling a little lost at times — but, in true Lacy fashion, she made the best of it and still found plenty of fun along the way.
They talk about the daytime pool parties, the hilarious and sexy games Dan helped host for attendees, and the high-energy nights filled with dancing, connection, and good vibes. From sunshine and swimsuits to music and late-night fun, Splash Houston gave them a weekend full of memories.
Overall, Dan and Lacy had an amazing time and are sharing all the highlights, honest moments, and behind-the-scenes stories from their Splash Houston experience.

Hey there, pineapple people, and welcome to the Swing Nation Podcast. We are your hosts, Northern Guy and Southern Girl. And we are back with another full-length episode of the Swing Nation Podcast. We are. All right, so this week we are going to be recapping our trip to Houston. We are. For Splash Houston. If you don't know, Splash Takeovers is a hotel takeover brand, one of our favorites. Uh and they do hotel takeovers every year in Houston, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale. And we go to all of them. As many as we can. As many as we can. I usually host the uh pool games. Uh and this time I actually DJ'd. Yeah. Uh and you look pretty and mingle with people. Yeah. I wasn't working. That's right. You were working, and I was off, which was lovely. Um, but yeah, so this year they changed the Houston event. Normally it's Atlanta in May, towards the end of May. Uh, Houston and August, and then Fort Lauderdale in like September, but they changed it up a little this year. So Houston was in May this year, and then Atlanta will be in August. So because they they're changing the hotel for Atlanta. The venue and in Atlanta changed, yes. Yeah. So uh it changed it up. And then and it worked out for us because last year Houston fell when we were at Hito. So we we couldn't make it to Houston last year. We went the year before, so we skipped a year in between. So we were happy to be back in Houston. We were, yeah. All right. So this year, normally we would drive to Houston. Um, but because we had a 30-hour drive to Salt Lake and a 30-hour drive back just two weeks before this event, you were insistent on non-driving. Well, I was just like, we're not we have a lot going on. This is definitely our busy season. We didn't have two or three days to like drive it. So I was like, if we're going, let's just fly. There was a direct flight out of our little airport in our small little hometown. So it it just it made the most sense just to fly. So we did. Thank God. Agreed. Yeah. Uh okay. So let's get into our trip to Houston. Okay, so Thursday. So the so the party technically started Thursday. The pool is open, but it's there's not like an official pool party, correct? Is that kind of how it is? There, I mean, I think they have a DJ out there. Yeah, we don't usually do pool games on Thursday. So Thursday's more, you know, the meet and greet kind of chill, you know, uh pool vibes, but just like everybody's rolling in, yeah. So we got there about one on Thursday and then Ubered to the hotel, which I had forgotten how I like this. This is a really good hotel. Like if you like hotel takeovers, but you only want to go to ones that have like good hotels. I was pleasantly surprised in this hotel. Yeah. And this one, uh, and what we didn't realize is because we missed last year, they actually just recently renovated this hotel. Yeah. So I guess it underwent renovations between the time that we went to it two years ago and last year's event. And so it's kind of newly remodeled, so to speak. Yeah, it was I was shocked how nice the hotel was when we went in. So we got in, we got checked in, and honestly, I it's been a while. We haven't been to Splash since September. I forget how well organized and like they run this, like I it's hard for me to explain. Like you walk in the door and like the signage, the amount of people, the amount, I mean, it's just like it's very well done. If you've been to like a crappy hotel takeover, and then you've been to something like this, you can really tell the difference. They are they are this is a top-notch party. Yeah, I mean, we've been going to Splash for years before we even started throwing hotel takeovers and stuff like that. And we've always um been very impressed with the amount of time and energy that goes into their events. Um, they're very consent focused, they're very um protecting people's identity and and making sure that everybody's in a safe environment and you know where they can let go and have fun. And honestly, you know, there's a few events out there that we probably look up to and try to emulate. And splash is definitely at the top of that list of one that like if you're trying to throw an event and you want to see how it's done right, like go to a splash event and see how they do it because uh they're they are one of the best in the country. No, I agree. Okay, so we get checked in, we get in our room, and uh we had a table. So um Swingerside Swing Nation had a like a stagnant table that you could go by and pick up goodies and stuff. So we went down, we got that all decorated, uh door-dashed us. I needed a basket for the door, door dashed us some drinks and a few snacks, and we got that, you know, situated. And uh we were actually having dinner with John and Jackie this night. Uh they own collette clubs. Um, they also do hashtag open love. So uh and they're they're vegan, vegetarian. So we knew that they we were going to dinner with them, and they tend to go to like those type of places. I mean, the thing they always bring you somewhere where there's another option, like there's an there's a non-vegan option, but it's you it's not like your local burger joint. So, and I'm a pretty I'm like a chicken fingers cheeseburger kind of girl. So we went to the bar and had like an appetizer late lunch because we had not had any food really that day. So we had a late lunch um kind of snack to hold us over for a little while. Yeah. Which the can we talk about the food? Yes, yeah, go ahead. The food at this hotel was like amazing. It must have been amazing because we had about a $600 bill uh between food and drinks at the hotel. I actually think more of that was food than it was drinks, yeah. Uh and it's funny because the food actually was fairly reasonably priced. So uh we we best must have really liked it. I I think we ate there almost every meal except for like one or two. The food was so good. And I mean, I don't know who the chef is or who's cooking back there, but they they killed it. Bang bang shrimp was on uh fi uh fire. Chicken sandwich was good. Chicken sandwich was good, the chicken wings were good. Yeah. Uh all weekend long, everybody was saying how amazing the food at that hotel was. Yeah, which I agree. Okay, so after lunch, we went and kind of you know, walked around the pool, said hello. We we didn't we weren't in our swimsuits or anything, so we and it was so fucking hot in Texas. So we um we didn't really get in the water or anything. We just kind of said hello to Ronnie, the DJ, and then just a few people that we had saw in the pool that we knew. So that was nice. It was very nice. Yes. After that, we went um to the room and kind of relaxed, and then it was it was time to go to dinner with John and Jackie. Yes. Uh yeah, so we met up with John and Jackie. They actually came and picked us up from the hotel because uh uh they wanted, you know, they were saying hi to the splash people as well, and then they knew that we had flown in and we didn't have a car, so they're like, oh, we'll just pick you up at the hotel and we'll take you out to dinner. Uh so we had a nice, a nice dinner with them. I won't go into too much details about what we uh talked about, but you know, if you've been following along on Colette and Secrets, and there's there's a lot of stuff kind of going on in the lifestyle uh scene and people working together and uh and things like that. And so a lot of our conversation kind of revolved around that. And and kind of like we were talking about with Splash, I think John and Jackie, if there's a couple that we like look up to and admire and and try to emulate in everything that we do, I think they are one of those couples. So it's you know, it was maybe a little bit of a mentor session. That's what I was about to say. I look at to look at them to to me as mentors, I think they're awesome. I think they've done a wonderful job representing the lifestyle. And if we were to look up to anybody, that would definitely be one of the couples that we look up to. We just really value their friendship, we value what they bring to the lifestyle and what they do. And so it's always nice to to catch up and pick their brain and they pick our brain, and it's just always nice. Yeah, I I had a really I had a really good time. And yeah, I definitely think uh um, you know, we could use more of those kind of conversations. I don't think there's many people that understand the situation we're in or necessarily can relate to, hey, we're trying to run a business and we're trying to be, you know, we're very public in what we do and who we are, uh, and then trying to navigate the business and being public and then personal relationships and friendships and you know, making the right business decisions at the right time, um, that uh really are best not only for us, but also good for the lifestyle and good for the community. Uh, you know, I don't think there's too many people that understand all the parts and pieces of all that. And John and Jackie definitely are one. Yeah. And I think they're one that are doing it at a very high level and doing it very well. So being able to have those conversations with a couple like that and get advice from them and kind of talk through some things is really invaluable. And I I really cherish that we're we have those types of connections with people. I agree. And they have the podcast, which a lot of people throw events. A lot of people do a lot of things, but the fact that they do basically other than owning clubs, we kind of do the same thing. So it's really cool. Well, you don't get to meet many people like that. Yeah, open love101. I think you said hashtag open love. So hashtag open is something else. I'm sorry, and then open love one on one is them. So if you want to check out their podcast or any of their their social media and things like that, just search open love101. Yeah, and they've been on our podcast and we've been on theirs, which honestly, the first time they when we were invited to they were invited to be on our podcast and they said yes, I thought we had made it. Like I thought like nothing gets better than this, you know, which was years ago. So it's really cool that now we can just call them a friend and have dinner with them and stuff. So it doesn't uh go like I don't we definitely don't take that for granted. We realize that we were very fortunate to have that friendship with them. Agreed. Yep. So we ended up going the place that we went, I was able to get a cheeseburger and you were able to get a steak sandwich. So there was non-vegan options, which is funny. Uh, because we had had our little like pre-dinner snack, just in case that you know we we didn't like the food, I barely ate my actual dinner. And John was like, Everything okay with your sandwich? Yeah, he's like, is that sandwich not good? I'm like, no, it's really good. I'm just uh kind of full already. We didn't want to tell him we pre-ate just in case, you know. So yeah, we we were there for probably two plus hours or more, just sitting around talking. And then we came back and they dropped us back off. We said our goodbyes, and then it was really kind of time for the party to start. I think we relaxed a little bit, but then kind of went into getting ready for the night portion. So the Thursday night is always the slower of the three. Most people are tired. You know, we kind of knew that, you know, you always know that going into any kind of swinger event. That that first night, especially like a Thursday night, not everybody's off work. You know, some people work and then they come in or later that night or come in the next day. So it's usually a smaller crowd. Well, and it it is kind of why I like the longer takeovers, the Thursday through Sunday, is because you kind of have that Thursday to get that travel day and kind of that adjustment period out of the way. Uh, you know, because when you only have a two-day event, Fridays usually kind of end up being that day. So you really only get like one full day. And even Saturday, you don't want to go too hard because you got to pack up and leave on Sunday. Um, so I think the Thursday to Sunday hotel takeover um timeline is really one of my favorites because it does give you Thursday to kind of acclimate yourself. Friday, you can party pretty hard. You got another good full day on Saturday, and then you're out there Sunday. Yeah. So we got ready. The theme for this night was superheroes and villains. We decided to do, or I decided to do Superman and Supergirl. We'd never done that. Uh half of the party were Superman and Supergirl. Or Wonder Woman. Yeah. It was there was another one. Almost like the what was it? The Bliss Cruise. The Bliss Cruise when we did the the Semen Day or whatever, uh, where everybody was wearing the same shirt I was. Same thing. I think I think there was at least 10 guys there that had the exact same t-shirt I had on. Uh, most of them had actually done it better than me. They had uh they were doing full Clark Kent with like the button-up shirt over the Superman t-shirt and glasses and stuff like that. One guy even had like the Clark Kent like uh office tag, like name tag made and stuff like that. Uh, I just had to see a Superman t-shirt and some shorts on. Uh and but I did have glasses. I did have Clark Kent. And I did get you suspenders, but they were fun. They were weird. They were like button suspenders. You had to button them into your. We didn't they didn't work. They didn't work, so we just threw this out. So so yeah, but it was fun. So um the party itself, let's talk a little bit. I honestly, I love splash, and this is no hate to splash, but the party Thursday night was just not it for me. No, and it might have been partly me. I was kind of tired. I don't know. We didn't okay, so in our defense, we didn't have a lot of friends here, and we're a little out of practice. I've noticed that I think every time we do this, you know, so let's explain that a little bit. Nowadays, when we go to events, we almost always have a friend group. Yeah, and that friend group is now, you know, between 10, 20, sometimes 30 couples, right? And and and this is maybe why we get accused of being clicky. We kind of have this built-in friend group that we don't have to do the mix and mingle and go meet people. We still do that. Yeah, like at Secrets, we try to go around the pool and meet as many people as we possibly can. But it's not like we can sit there and talk to you for an hour and get to know your whole life story and then decide if this is a good fit and then decide to play because we're getting pulled in so many different directions. That's just kind of hard now. So we kind of rely on our friends to kind of, you know, at the end of the night, we find our friends, and that's usually who we end up in an orgy with. Or, and sometimes they'll bring in new couples, right? The friends kind of invite them. We love that. And we love that, right? And that's kind of that's this is kind of the the you know what we've fallen into when we go to events nowadays. So now you take here where we're at Splash Houston. We had there's probably two or three, maybe four couples we knew prior to this. Um, but we we didn't definitely did not have like our core friend group. No, I there. I there was one person there that I know you've slept with, but nobody that I had even slept with, you know. So we didn't have that like built in. And then keep in mind, we're you're working, so you're like DJing and hosting games, and then I'm trying to mingle, but like that's not really your fourth. I'm not really very good at it, you know. And so I do better with you're like my you're my help, like we're a team, you know. And so when you're not there, and it's also kind of hard for me to like sort of pursue someone when you're not there because that kind of feels that's not our dynamic, even though if that was to happen, you would you would join us, it just felt a little weird, you know, you're because you're my person. So um, so yeah, so Thursday night, it was so we kind of this is kind of starty. If you get the gist of, you know, kind of how our weekend went. Thursday night, I don't know, the DJ was just okay. I no hate. It was just okay. I was a little tired. We had traveled, there was just a lot going on, and it just we we danced, we had fun, but like I just wasn't, I don't know. We did have to get up at what, like 6 30 or something that morning? Yeah, we got it pretty early. Which if you know uh 6 30 might as well be three o'clock in the morning. So I think I don't know. I think we were just tired, we weren't really feeling it, and so we kind of cut out early. I mean, I think we were in bed by like 12 30 or something. Yeah, and we fucked and then we went to bed, which was honestly, we kind of needed to like we because we had gotten home from Salt Lake City and we really hadn't had a whole lot of sex, maybe once or twice. You know, I had gotten just this week, I'd gotten my pellets, my HRT, so like my butt was kind of sore from getting, you know, so like we just hadn't really had a lot of like you and I connection time. We kind of went back home, got thrown into life, and then next thing you know, we're gone again. So uh so we got a good night to like fuck each other and have hot sex and and then we went to bed. We did. Yeah, that was our Thursday. That was Thursday. Yeah. All right, let's take it right into Friday then. Okay, so Friday morning, I slept in. I've been having trouble with my shoulder and sleeping. I guess probably that sleeping is probably my age. So, like, if I can sleep, just let me sleep. Because I've been sleeping like four hours a night, and I actually slept pretty good in the hotel, which I was surprised. And I woke up and you were you were up and you were getting ready because since you were holding hosting the pool parties, you kind of needed to be down there about the time they started. Yeah, so pool parties every day start at 11 o'clock. Uh, and so I just wanted to be down there. We didn't usually play the first pool game until about 12, but you know, you got to get the pool games out, kind of come up with a game plan. Uh, you know, uh I got with the staff and figured out what prizes they had to give away that day and kind of what the plan was for the prizes. Speaking of Splash has some of the best uh pool game prizes out there as well. They usually give away, no lie, probably a couple thousand dollars worth of pool prizes. Uh this year they gave away a free splash pass. Uh, they gave half off of a splash pass, they gave a free naughty New Orleans um ticket, they give um overnight uh passes to Seamountain Inn. In Kelly Inte. Cassidy Lifetime memberships, and and then as well as like you know, sex toys and lube and and all that stuff that goes with it. And you know, people are always hesitant to play the pool games, but uh one amazing prizes, yeah, and two, none of them are really that that bad. You know, I mean I I don't make you do anything too too crazy, but uh it was a good time. Yeah, it was a good time. So I got down there about lunch at 12, you know, a little after. Um, because I you know, I got up pretty pretty much when you left, I got up and got ready and I made a few TikToks before, you know, in my bikinis and stuff, um, which I just mentioned I had gotten so I get HRT pellets, you know, they put them in your butt. I got gotten them done Tuesday. And honestly, when I booked that appointment three months ago, I didn't even think anything about splash being the same week. And when I went, she was like, hey, you just need to um not be in water for three days, which technically I probably was fine on Friday, but I I wanted to make sure I was just super careful. Also, I normally don't bruise or anything. Of course, I bruised super bad this time and it was super sore. I'm on some like medicine for my shoulder, and I wonder if maybe that made me bruise. I don't know. But so last minute, like before we left, I threw in some like hole back bottoms because all I brought was thongs originally, and my ass looked like you know, like I'd had a medical procedure done. So, but I bandaged it up and I just sat on the side of the pool, which was fine. I I wondered if people thought I was being antisocial. I wasn't, I was just trying not to submerge because technically the three days was Saturday. So on Friday, I was like, let me just try to stay on the side of the pool. So I did, which was fine. I put my feet in and I had fun. I chatted and enjoyed myself. I just wasn't like a social butterfly bopping around the pool. Yeah, I didn't get to do that. Yeah, we played some fun games. So we usually I started it off with um the uh go get bathing suits. Yeah. Uh which is a good one to start with. It's a good, and I I start a lot of pool parties off with that because you know, these clothing optional pool parties, it takes people a little bit to kind of feel comfortable taking their clothes off. So this game is, you know, you get people to go around and try to collect as many, you know, consensually collect as many bathing suits as they can from people in the pool or around the pool, and they get uh points based off how many bathing suits, tops and bottoms they collect. And then obviously whoever collects the most bathing suits uh wins the prize. So we started with that. Uh a little later on, we did the um where they switch bathing suits. Uh so this is a game where um the male half of the couple starts on one side of the pool, the female half of the other starts on the other. The males jump in, swim across the pool, exchange bathing suits with the female half, and then they swim back. So kind of so did you hear the guy, the couple that won that, the guy was a stunt guy. Did you hear that? Yeah, I thought that was kind of funny. And he was way ahead of everybody else. But the wife was saying that she was like, Oh, I knew he win because he's a stunt guy. So he's good at everything like that. So yeah, I thought that was pretty funny. Yeah, I don't know if I've ever met a professional stunt man before, and uh apparently being a stunt man helps you exchange um clothes with your your wife. Well he was just like very agile, he just like you know jumped in the water, swam. You know, he was just very quick, but yeah, no, I agree. Uh and then what else? Uh we did the the last one was the condom um game blow up game where you blow up the condom. I can't remember what the one in between that was, but uh I don't know. But you did good, you did a lot of games. So you did about one an hour, right? From 12 to 4, you about one an hour. Yeah, and I try to do quick games, you know. I mean, I I think some pool parties, some parties that we've been to, you lose people's attention, right? If you do a game, I think it's fun and people, especially if it's something that's kind of sexy and silly, uh, people enjoy that. But if you're up there for 20, 30 minutes trying to do a game, you you lose people and uh it gets kind of distracting. So I try to do a good job of doing quick, kind of funny games. Everybody gets a laugh and and and encourages people to be a little bit sexual and and a little bit uh interacting with each other. Other and then move on and let people kind of do their thing. Yeah. So I I meant to tell this for Thursday night's party, but I forgot. But this is definitely part of this day. Um, so it's worth telling. So fast forward a few years ago, I think it was Secret September. Oh yeah. Um, if you remember, if you go back to that episode, we told a story about a room crawl. When when is this? This is two secrets ago? I think it was September. So the last September secret. So yeah, almost a year, a little less than a year ago. Okay. So we told a story about a a couple, and the wife was hammered and was not picking up on the the like social cues that the room crawl was over, and that we had to get everybody out of our room because we had basically one hour to go from room crawl to Dan DJing in the club. So that means we had to get ready, we had to eat, and then Dan had to get to the club to DJ within an hour. And we were trying to encourage her to like leave our room without being mean to her because she was drunk, she was having the best time of her life. It was no nothing against her. We've all been there, yeah. But she just wasn't picking up on the like, so we gotta go, you know, super nice meeting, you will see at the club. She wasn't picking up on it because she was she was trash. So some friends of ours were like, fuck this, we're gonna get her out of your room. They very bluntly said they were like, ma'am, you gotta go, you know, without without mixing words of like, okay, we've tried, we tried to be nice, you're not putting, you're not picking up what we're putting down, so it's time to go. And then she called us and me a mean girl, which is which is funny because I didn't even, I never spoke to her about that. It w I wasn't involved, but of course it was my room. You might have been nicely trying to get her out of it. I was you weren't the one that said directly No, I wasn't. And you guys need to get out of here. But she looked at us and said, Y'all are a bunch of mean girls, which is a uh trigger, a trigger for me because I get that quite often uh in the lifestyle scene and on the internet, which is I'm actually the one that takes up for people. So the fact that I get called the mean girl is it's I don't know, it is what it is at this point. Um, so anyway, we talked about this story. We told y'all this story back in September. Honestly, it wasn't a big deal. We told the story because it was funny. I mean, it was a funny story, and then we were talking about how we were so proud that she actually showed up at the club that night. Like they rallied and she showed me. We were impressed, yeah. We were impressed. No harm, no foul, no big deal. So, anyway, at some point during this party, I see her and I'm like, they're here, you know. But didn't I more so not because we talked about them on the podcast. Honestly, I didn't even remember that we had told that story because we sit down and we tell a story once, and then I never listen to the podcast again. So I don't really think and all the stories kind of blur together. It's all yeah, you know, it's all like you know, so we forget what we say and what we don't. So anyway, I'm dancing and the husband comes up to me and he was like, Hey, can I show a question? And I was like, Yeah, sure. And he was like, So you remember at Secrets when you told that story about that girl that called you a mean girl on the podcast? I said, Yeah. He said, Was that my wife? And I said, Yep. Just like that. And he was like, Oh my god, I told you. And so there was like this whole thing. He was like, I told you, and she was like, Oh my god, you know, and they were like, Can I be honest? They made a huge big deal out of it the whole weekend. I actually felt bad for her because she could tell that, like, because like, okay, let's be real, and this is what I told her. Wow, we've all been there. Yeah, I've been too drunk, especially in a room crawl, a room crawl will get your ass. She's not the first, nor probably the last person that's got drunk in a room crawl and did the same thing where they didn't want to leave our room. Correct. And and not no ill intention, they're just being nice and friendly and common. She was just ready to party. They were just ready to party. So anyway, but he would not let this go the entire weekend. And I actually felt bad for her because at some point she was like, please stop, you know, like because he kept on and kept every time he'd see me, I'd see him, he's like, Oh, it's the mean girl. You know, he and then he kept saying, He was like, Oh, we it was y'all were very upset. And I was like, dude, listen, do you know how many people that we run into and see? Do you know how many drunk girls we've had in our room, or vice versa? It's really not a big deal. But he kept on and he kept on. We ended up making friends with them. I think I think we did a very good job of making the first 24 hours, he kind of drove me crazy. So just in case he hears this, he kind of drove me crazy. But I think your wife kind of got in. Well, I think the impression I got from him is he seems like he's a genuine person that really cares about what people think. And I think that he was just trying to make it make it better, yeah. Yeah, like make a joke about it or something. I don't know. I honestly I I really like her. Yeah, I mean, he's I like her, I like her a lot. He kind of got on my nerves, but I mean that in the nicest way. That doesn't mean he's a bad guy or anything. I'm sure I actually got several opportunities to kind of sit and talk to him. He's a he's a he's a business owner and stuff. No, I think they're both right, they're also from up north, they're Yankees. Yeah, so maybe they speak my language a little better. And I'm southern, and I'm just like, oh my god, you know, please quit calling me a mean girl in the middle of the dance floor. You know, that was kind of like me. Uh, and because we like literally talked about it once and then never spoke about it again, it really hasn't wasn't even something that was on my mind. And so the fact that they kept bringing it up and care, well, he kept bringing it up, kept bringing it up. I was like, oh my gosh. But it it ended up working itself out. He's he's he's a good I I think I get him now. Yeah, uh, I could see why he I think he was trying to be flirt or be funny or joke with you, but because he did it so many times, you're just probably just like, okay, we'll get it. Yeah, we get it, dude. Um your wife called me a mean girl. Yeah, like but she it's one, she's hot. She's very hot. Two, I bet she's a blast to party with. And I was like, man, just let's let's let's move on past this. Because mean me and you could work something out here. Yeah, I mean, like they're they're hot, attractive, not you know, like, yeah. And unfortunately, shit like that just happens in the lifestyle. And honestly, they were having the time of their lives. She was getting ate out next to the pool, and like just, I mean, she seems like a life of the party type person. She does. So when you're the life of the party, you know, Lacey's been there. Sometimes you're gonna make a fool of yourself. I listen, I've peed in public, I've I've thrown up in a pool. I mean, I've done all the fucked up shit you could think of. So, like, no harm. We've all been there, it's not a big deal. But anyway, it was worth telling the story to y'all because y'all heard the first half of it, so it's worth telling it again. So yeah. Hopefully, when we see them again. I think we're all friends now. Hopefully, when we see them again, now they won't talk about this. For now, we all yeah. If you see you again, we don't have to talk about this the whole weekend. No, it's okay. Water, water in the bridge. Yeah, I'll get drunk and you can kick me out of your room and then we'll be even. How about it? He'll he'll definitely talk about it though. He definitely will. Yeah, he's the type of guy. Yeah, so anyway, back to the poll party because I wanted to mention that before we got too far. So back to the pool party. So yeah, I mean, honestly, it was a beautiful day in Texas. It hasn't rained here at home for like two weeks. So it was great to have sunshine, pool. It was a good time. Yeah, I had a great time. Yeah. So I we came up about four about the time because like at Splash, when the pool party's over, they just cut the music. So they cut the music. I don't like that, but yeah, I know, but I get it, you know. So they cut the music and we came up to the room and rested for a little bit. Uh they had a an unofficial room crawl, which so Splash doesn't host their own room crawl, but their members decide that they want to do one. So they work together and schedule the room crawl, they make their own flyers, they hang them on the walls. And so that started at 6 30. And because we didn't know anybody, I was like, we gotta put ourselves out there, right? We gotta, we gotta do some stuff. So I was like, let's go to the room crawl, and then they had speed daying. So I was like, let's go do that. So we got to rest for about an hour, we had some dinner, and then we basically got ready for the night portion minus our outfits. So we got ready and then we went and did the room crawl. It was fun. I I actually really enjoyed the room crawl. Yeah. Um, it's it was interesting because we're almost always host the room crawl, uh, and we almost always host room crawls at our events. We don't necessarily get to see the other side of it. I feel like I haven't really seen the other side of room crawl since like back in the LFC you know days. Or I think we did a one at Gems one time as well. But usually it's like we're on the other side. Yeah. So going around from running the room and seeing kind of the chaos, and even seeing a few of like the room hosts look a little like overwhelmed, you know what I mean? Uh was kind of cool. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it was good. Everybody had really good rooms, they had good shots, they were all, you know, it was it was simple, it wasn't over the top, which honestly I like a simple room crawl. Like you don't have to go out and spend a bunch of money and make it elaborate. I think it should just be fun and a good way to meet people. So um now, if I had to give some advice on room crawl um organization, what they had done is given you all the rooms and then a time to be at each room. The problem with that is it like it puts everybody in one room all at the same time, and there was too many people, yeah, and it then it became overwhelming. Where we like to just put out all the rooms and give you like an hour and an hour and a half just to bounce around at your own free will from room to room, and it keeps the the chaos down a little bit. It does. But I do understand like if you're that room call host, you do have to keep your door open for that hour, hour and a half. But honestly, I bet they did anyway. I bet they did. So um right. So the benefit of going room to room to room is if each room has a 30-minute window, they only have to be in the room for 30 minutes and then they can close their door. Yeah, but like you said, I bet most of those people had their doors open for an hour plus anyway, because you know, people came early, people stayed late, so it probably didn't make much of a difference on that end. Yeah, no, I agree. It was good. I had a good time. We got to meet people in chat and stuff. I felt like there was a lot of standing around waiting because like you go through a room in like 10 minutes and then you're like basically out in the hallway just hanging out with people, and which I mean I guess it's fine. You're supposed to talk. So I mean it was fine. Um, after that, we went to Speed Damon. We were actually a few minutes late, but they let us join in. And honestly, I didn't hate it. You were a few minutes late. Oh, I was I was down there 30 minutes early to first sound check. Yeah, you were getting your outfit on. Yeah, I think you came in just before. So I think you made it in time. I don't think they had started the first round yet. Yeah, no, they hadn't. But so it was right before they started. So we were able to jump in, but um so it was a different it was so you it was a standing room or speed dating. I actually think they did a really good job. I thought so too. Um, and it was good. I mean, it wasn't it was like 45 minutes or so. We've done speed dating on like Bliss, and by the time it was over, I was like out of breath because I felt like we were just like like over and over, you know. But this was a little bit calmer. Yeah, and it was quicker, wasn't it? I think they only gave you like 30 seconds or something. It was a very short uh I think when we do it at secrets, we give them like two minutes a couple, which that can seem fast. Um this one was much shorter. I don't know if they give you a minute or 30 seconds, or but it was I felt like it was go, go, go. What I didn't like about the way they did it is when they had you rotate, they had both couples rotate. So you actually missed a couple, like you were going like every other couple, uh, which I guess probably made it go faster. Um, but there were several couples we skipped that I was like, oh, I really wish I could have talked to you. No, I really liked it. Um, in my opinion, when we did the bliss speed dating, it was all the people that were too afraid to talk to people and not people that we would be sexually attracted to. Like typically, right? This wasn't the case. I felt like there was a good mix of all different body types, ages, you know, all the things. So I felt like it was a good mix of people. Yeah, my only issue is I feel like there was three or four couples that we talked to that I felt like we somewhat connected with that were like I even think we said, Oh, we'll see you on the dance floor, like and then we never saw them again. Yeah, that's true. Like you know what I mean? Yeah, that's true. I don't know. I think I there's only that one, the the couple with the older lady. We saw them several times. But out of the other three or four couples were like, hey, hey, yeah, I I never saw any of them again. True. So I don't know if they're like you were saying, maybe these are people that are shy and just aren't like middle of the dance floor, because you know, when we go to the dance floor, we are like in the middle of the dance floor. Yeah, and we just danced. Maybe they were just not middle of the dance floor type of people, and that's so that's why we never ran into them. But I didn't even don't remember seeing him in the pool or anything the next day. Yeah, I don't know. So they kind of disappeared on us. Yeah, so I guess so like a few like honorable things. So one guy we I shook his hand, I said hello, and then it took him like I don't know, like 30 seconds to realize it was Dan Lacey of the Swing Nation podcast. And then he was like, Oh my god, he was he like he totally fangirl, which was actually really he was very sweet about it. He was like, Oh my god, oh my god, you know, he was we get several people that get excited about the us. This is the first time, I think not maybe not the first time, but definitely one of the times where like he like lost his composure, yeah, you know what I mean? Yeah, and which is it's cute to see. It was kind of it was cute, and it feels well, obviously, he wasn't losing his composure over me, first of all. Uh he was losing it over you, but it's it it was, I guess, heartwarming to see somebody have that much of a reaction to it. Yeah, it was, and the fact that it was like a delay, like he was like, Hey, how are you? Where y'all from? You know, like introduced yourselves, and you're like Lacey. I'm like, Oh, my name's Dan, and you're like, I'm Lacey, and he kind of like hesitated for a second. He's like, Wait, you guys are Dan and Lacey? Like, yeah, yeah. So it was sweet. You know, what's funny is I've I haven't had a chance to tell you this. After it was over, I think they were our last person that we saw. She pulled up our SD, she pulled up SDC and was like, Can I find y'all on there? The wife, she was gonna message us or something. So I typed in the Swing Nation and pulled up, baby. You gotta change our pictures on SDC. Are they old? It's like pre-military dance. You have you are a baby face. You we have that's an old profile. We have catfish pictures, we are catfishing people because we do not look like that anymore. You gotta update it. Well, to be fair, we post pictures and videos of us every day. So like you have you should have an idea. But it was funny because I saw it and I was like, oh my god, that is so old. We talk about people not updating their pictures, and I was like, Oh, we're one of those people. Well, the funny thing is, remember uh SDC actually suspended our account and they deleted it and we had to make a new one. Yeah, so I mean it it probably is still three or four years old, but it's it's pre it's not pre-podcast, it's no, but it's like pre-beard, pre-Tattoos, man. Yeah, you you definitely you look a baby. Yeah, yeah. I believe it. Yeah, so so yeah, we did speed dating, and then honestly, right after that, it you had a DJ. So um you were only supposed to DJ Saturday night, but somehow you got roped into or volunteered. I don't know. How did that happen? Uh so I I guess one of their DJs canceled, and so um the owner of Splash reached out and he said, Hey, I know you guys are coming anyway. I know you know you you you weren't on the schedule to DJ. He's like, but you know, I could I could use some help if you don't mind DJing. And I was like, Yeah, and he's like, I'll pay you, no, no worries. And I was like, Yeah, I absolutely I genuinely enjoy DJing, so I I had no problem with that. So I said, Yeah, man, just let me know. Yeah, or I can help out where I can fill in. So yeah, Friday night in the club, I actually opened uh and I'm not the best opening DJ. You're not. I'm gonna be honest with you. I think we talked about this when we talked about the sanctuary. So the the opening DJ's job is to set the vibe, but like build the room, right? Like stuff start kind of light and then slowly, slowly build the room and then kind of have the room rock in to when the main DJ comes on, right? Then the stage is set, he comes on and then, or he or she, I guess in our case, and then crushes, right? So that's what you're supposed to do as an opening DJ. I'm just terrible at slow rolling it. I just get going too fast too quick, I think. Oh well, it's okay. From the audience perspective, did you catch that or were you just No, I definitely feel like you did better Saturday, though. Yeah, not that I think you did bad Friday. I just think like Well, that but that's the problem, though, is if the room hasn't built yet and you start throwing bangers out there and there's nobody on the dance floor, it kind of just seems awkward, right? You're like, oh, here's this high tempo song with these big drops, and nobody's even like there's no party. Sometimes because there was not a lot of people on the dance floor, you know, for the first little bit. I would go out there and like kind of, but then nobody would join me. So it really seems like I'm embarrassed. I'm leaving. Like, okay, I go back. So and for me, I didn't know a lot of people here. You know, a lot of people know me, but I and I'm not it's not easy for me just to go up and be like, hey, how are y'all? I'm I I overthink, I freak myself out, I and then I panic, and then I don't know what to do with my hands. And so I don't really mind you DJing when we have all of our friends because I can just hang out and dance with them and no problem. But when you when I don't know a lot of people and you're DJing, it's it's a little awkward for me. And I try really, really hard to be like that brave girl who can just dance by herself and not mind. But then, you know, like if I'm just dancing by myself, then people are like, why is she by herself? Why isn't you know, like it's just it's an awkward, I overthink it. I'm sure 90% of that's in your head, yeah. Oh, 100% of it is. But so it was the beginning of the night was a little awkward for me. I tried, you know, like I felt like a third wheel, just kind of hanging out with people, you know. I just in time and his beautiful wife Shelby were there, and like I got to hang out with them. They had some friends that, you know, we have a few couples that come to a lot of our events that I can like sort of hang out with, but I just, you know, I didn't want them to feel like they had to like take care of me. So it was it was a little awkward at first. So then this is what you do to me. So I just, you know, so as the crowd builds, the energy builds, the dance floor gets going. Then Justin comes up and he's like, Lacey said that I should take over DJing for you. No, I asked Justin what time you were he said 10. I was like, okay. So in my mind, I had built up, okay, Dan's getting off at 10. So I saw Justin walk up there. I don't know what Justin says to you, and then I see him walk off. And I'm like, that motherfucker just wanted to DJ. I thought we had said 10:30, but uh maybe not. And so I never told him to go take over for Dan. I said, What time do you get done? So I knew, so I'm like, oh my god. So anyway, so somehow y'all ended up switching eventually. Yeah, yeah. Uh yeah. We actually think uh he came up and I was like, nah, man, I'm good. Give me like 30 more minutes. And he and he went back down. And then he came back up as Lacey, and he's like, No, Lacey said she wants you. And I was like, Oh, okay, go ahead, take over. Well, I knew you were a DJ on the next night. So I'm thinking if anything's gonna happen, it's this night. And so, like, okay, you've done your job. And you keep in mind, he wasn't even on the schedule, he just did this for fun. So I'm like, okay, we've done, let's go, you know, like, yeah, let's go. So yeah, so you came down. We came down, danced a little bit. Uh, nothing. Here's the thing we struggled. I don't think I danced with anybody but you all weekend. Yeah, we kind of struggled. We didn't really connect with anybody. Uh, there was not a lot of flirting. There was a few people, you know, especially when we did the speed dating, there was a few people like throughout the day and stuff that had come up to me and kind of let it known that they were interested. Um, but then like they weren't on the dance floor. You know what I mean? So, like, you know, it'd be like we were walking down the hallway, and like, you know, a couple would walk by or a girl would walk by and she'd be like, What's up? Yeah, hey, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I definitely think people were interested in us, and we were definitely interested in people. We just did not do a very good job of like making things happen. Um, so And I think it's a few things. So you gotta think. So the pool game, the pool party is like five hours. Every hour I'm doing a pool game, right? So I'm basically like getting in the pool for like 20, 30 minutes, getting out, getting a pool game ready, doing a pool game, getting back in the pool for 20, 30 minutes. So it's it's a lot of like stop and go, stop and go, stop and go. We'd be talking to a couple, I'd get out of the pool, go do a game, we'd get back in the pool, that couple's gone, right? So like it was really hard. I wasn't drinking, I was sober basically the whole weekend. I think you were basically sober the whole time. Yeah, I never really got which you know that kept our inhibitions low or high, I guess. Uh so yeah, I think it was we we struggled a lot this weekend. So anyway, Saturday night we danced um for a while. It's about 11:30. 11:30, and I'm like, hey, let's just go to a playroom, see if we get into some trouble there. If not, we'll just fuck each other and uh call it a night. Yeah, so we did. We went and showered and changed, and we went to the playroom, which Splash has amazing playrooms, some of the best, yeah. Um, so there was a big huge orgy bed, and there was a decent amount of people on it. So we were like, okay, let's go here. So we did, and literally as soon as we lay down, everybody got up and left. But I will so let's explain it. So this is a an orgy bed, and I think it was six beds, and nobody was having an orgy, right? So there was like three or four other couples on beds, but they were all individuals, right? I don't think anybody was even swapping. Yeah, right. They were just individual couples on individual beds, but the beds were happened to be pushed together. Yeah, so me and you get in there, we drop our stuff, we get naked, we get on the bed. I think I started going down on you, and it felt like a minute or two later, everybody gets up and like walks away. It made me paranoid. Lacey looks at me, she's like, Did we scare them off? Did we do we doing something wrong? I even think the couple that we laid on the bed closest to was kind of a hot couple. And I was like, Well, maybe this will go somewhere, you know. Um, yeah, nobody like it was very weird. And then like a lot of people were staring, and so like I am like kind of a little bit in my head. Also, even though Splash's playrooms are awesome, the mattresses are very thin. And I, you know, I said I mentioned earlier I had my pellets and my ass had been pretty sore, and like I could feel the like metal of the like underneath the mattress. Like, I'm like a little in pain, you know, because I'm like getting fucked. Now a lot of people are watching us, you know, and like so it was you kind of have stopped, and you're like, should we stop? What are we doing? Yeah, it threw it through my game almost for me. It's okay. What this is like I don't know even why you care. Like, let's just fuck. Like, and at some point I kind of had to be like, Okay, we're just gonna have to like commit to it. And I try I tried really hard to do that. Um, and and but it is awkward because when everybody else gets up and leaves, there's still 20, 30 people in there that are just watching. Yeah, so once those three other couples. I think it was three, maybe four other couples. Once they all got up and left, it's like 20 people watching us. Yeah. And listen, we do OnlyFans, we do all kinds of stuff. You know, we're not shy. No. But it is different when you're in person in a room and you're in the middle of the bed and folks watching you and you're the only ones fucking. Yeah. Yeah. And I was like overthinking everything. Like you were like wanting to be in control. You didn't really want me on top. You were kind of doing your thing. And I'm thinking every hero's gonna think I'm lazy. I'm just laying on my back and taking it. You know, these are the things that are running through me where I should have just been like enjoying myself. I'm like overthinking everything. Yeah. Which it ended up being hot. Like I squirted a ton. And um then so eventually people came back. Right. Yeah. There's another three or four couples ended up getting back on the different couples came and got on the bed. Yeah. I think there was one couple swap right next to us, but still most people were individually with what I assume was their partner. Yeah, I don't know. Um, and then the guy next to us said, You're you're so fucking hot, or something like that to me. Oh, I didn't even hear that. Yeah, which was but it was I I don't know, it was kind of weird. Like almost like he wanted to like engage, but then they didn't. And I was like, Thank you. And so finally, you know, like at some point we're just like, Okay, we didn't. So Dan was like, I want to come. So he was like trying to come in me. But then the people next to us finish or and they start getting up and they're getting dressed, and Dan's trying to come, and the guy's like having a whole fucking conversation about I don't know what. And so it's like Well, no, I think they actually so and and I don't I think they were struggling to get hard. Oh, and I don't I don't think they ever actually fucked, so they were kind of soft swapping, and then I don't think anybody could get hard, or at least one of the guys couldn't get hard, and so as they're getting up to leave, he's like apologizing, like so they're having a conversation about not being able to fuck, you know, like yeah, and that so that just threw me off. And Dan's like, I just need to come, I just want to come. So finally you came, but I mean you you came over and started whispering in my ear and made me come. Yeah, so you found you came and we cleaned up and we left. Went back to the room and went to bed. It was that simple. All right, well, I think now's the perfect time to take a little break. Actually, you didn't go to bed, you went back and DJ. Oh, you are correct. Yeah, I forgot. So this was actually the plan all along, yeah. Is I said, okay, let's go fuck, and then I'm gonna come back. So the plan was let Justin DJ for for an hour, a couple hours, and then come back, and me and him would finish because the club goes till 2 a.m., right? So he took he took over for me at like 10 o'clock. So he still had like four hours of DJing to do, which is a lot of DJing. Uh so I was like, hey man, we're gonna go fuck. And then once we get done fucking, I'll come back and me and you can do a back-to-back, which a back-to-back is just like the DJ switch off playing songs. He's like, Cool, man. So me and you get done fucking, and I'm like, you can just go to bed. I'm gonna go back to it. I didn't go to bed. I went down to the bar and got a chicken sandwich and then got brought it back up and like ate my chicken. I actually stayed up until you got back. Yeah, I stayed up, but it was just nice to be like I washed my face, I took my medicine, I ate my chicken sandwich, relaxed. But I think it's worth mentioning that as soon as I left, all the girls were trying to fuck. Well, no, so so yeah, so you went and got your chicken sandwich. I go back down and DJ. Uh, and I will say the vibe, honestly, the I thought the vibe Friday night up till 2 a.m. was better than even the vibe Saturday night up till 2 a.m. Uh, but there's there is 20, 30, 40 people still in the ballroom, and you can tell these are kind of the ravers, so to speak. It's the younger people, it's the people that are in these ravey kind of clothes. And I mean, they were, you know, me and Justin start throwing down, you know. So now that it's thinned out and it's like our people in there, you know, we could actually kind of play the music that we really like to play. So, I mean, we went all the way to 2 a.m. and we were we were throwing some stuff down. Yeah, so then it we finish and we kind of pack up our stuff and we're leaving. And like the crowd, when we shoved off the music, they're literally booing, right? They're like, boo, keep going. And uh the owner's like, shut it down. Uh so anyway, and as we're leaving, one of the girls who is uh an attractive uh younger uh black woman comes up and she's like, You guys are really hot. She's like, and we're like, Oh, thank you. She's like, I think you're both really hot. And we're like, Oh, well, we appreciate that. And she's like, You guys should DB DP me. And I was like, What? That's funny. Uh, and so then she's like, Yeah, you should come back to my room and DP me. And I was like, Well, my wife already went to bed. I said, I mean, that sounds like an amazing time. I'm like, but she's already in bed, but you know, come find us tomorrow and we'll talk about this. And maybe maybe we can happen make it happen tomorrow night. She's like, Okay, I'll come find you. Now, to be fair, she was a little intoxicated. Yeah, right. Well, it was 2 a.m. Yeah, it was two o'clock in the morning. Uh, yeah. So anyway, then I come back to the room and I explain. I'm like, baby. And you were like, well, you could have done it. And I'm like, well, no, one, I'm exhausted. And two, you know, I'd already came that night. And uh, but yeah. Uh, you know, life of a DJ. I know, right? Whatever. So anyway, that that ended our Friday night. Yeah. All right. So now's the perfect time to take a little break and hear from the partners and sponsors of the Swing Nation podcast. And then when we get back, we'll finish with what happened Saturday. Lacey, one thing I don't leave home without when going to a swinger event is my ED medication. That is correct. Performance anxiety is 100% a real thing. Um, having sex in an orgy room with um a hundred people in there is way different than having sex at home in your bedroom. It is. Um, so I like to have what we call a little insurance policy and have some of that ED medication in my pocket. Um, shameless care is who I use for that. And they actually just came out with a new product called the Shameless Duo. Yeah. Which is a combination medicine that has Viagra and Cialis in it, so that one, you can be ready whenever, but also it's got that dose that you can take when you're, you know, as you're getting ready to go to the playroom and you need that to kick in. Yeah. So I love it. I mean, I used it at HEDO for the first time, and that that combination. You're going to pretty much switch to that, haven't you? It's basically what I use all the time now. Yeah. So if you're looking for ED medication, if you're new to the lifestyle uh and you're going to an event, you might want to get some and have it just handy in case you need it, kind of thing. And the really cool thing about shameless care is they don't set you up on a recurring plan. So you're not going to get all of this ED medication that you have in your nightstand built up. When it's time that you need more, you'll get an email from them and they'll ask you, hey, are you ready for another round? And you can respond back. Yes, please refill it, or no, I'm good right now. Thank you. So it's really cool because you don't end up with all these extra pills and spend a bunch of money that you're not, you know, you don't need to spend. Yeah. And my favorite part is you don't actually have to go into an office and talk to your family doctor or a military doctor. Um, you can do it all right online from the privacy of your home. Uh you just go to their website, you fill out some forms, the doctor reviews it, approves you, disapproves you, and you move on from there. So if you would like to get some medication, you can go to theswingnation.info, click on the little recommended apps and products, uh, scroll down to the shameless care icon, click on that, and that's going to take you over there. Uh, there's some discount codes there for you, so you can get a discount off your first order. But uh, I highly recommend if you're going to some events or parties, go get you some lifestyle insurance. Yeah. All right, guys, check it out. Lacey, people are always asking, how do we get to a party or an event that you guys are hosting? Like, how do we find these things? Where did they exist? Yeah, because we're pretty open about where we're gonna be. So if you want to find these places, you need to check out swingersight.net. Right. So you can go to swingersight.net, sign up for a profile. Most of our friends, most of the people that are attend our events, all are on there and have profiles. So you can message them, link up with them before a party, get to know some people. Uh, please become a diamond member. Okay. So this is the way that we keep are able to throw events. There, it's a way we're able to have staff. Uh, really, it's the the community that keeps those memberships on swingersciety.net that really keep this whole thing running. Yes. Um, if you're a diamond member, it gets you early access to tickets. Uh so you can get those VIP tickets in the clubs and you know, those preferred rooms at a place like Secrets. Um, our Diamond members usually grab all that up. So if that's something that you're interested in, you definitely want to become a Diamond member, or if you just want to support us, support what we're doing, uh, and help us pay our staff, please go sign up and be a diamond member. Yes. It's super helpful for us. Uh, and you can do that by going to swingersociety.net. Correct. Uh, and sign up today. Hopefully, you come become part of our community, and we hope to see you at a future event. Yeah. Thanks, guys. All right, guys. Welcome back. Welcome back. Thank you for listening to our sponsors. Lacey loves our sponsors. I do. All right. So when we left you, I had just get gotten propositioned to DP somebody with uh my boy Justin Time and regrettably had to turn her down. Yeah. Uh so I got up again. Uh you said early, but it was really like 10 a.m. Uh to be down at the pool party at 11. Lacey again uh decided she was gonna wait a little bit, sleep in a little. Yeah, sleep in. It was good. Actually, honestly, I slept really good in this hotel, so it worked for me. Um, I got down there about 12:30. I got up and made some more TikToks and kind of took my time. And it was very hot in in Texas this week. And so I knew that like four hours was probably plenty to be in that in the direct sun. So I didn't want to get super burnt. So I was like, you know, I'll go down about 12:30 or so. And I went down and you the pool party was in full swing. I did decide to get in the water a little bit on Saturday. I still had my bandages and stuff on, so um, but it was so fucking hot that I I dipped my body in a couple of times just to like kind of cool off. Yeah. Um but yeah, I mean the pool party was it was great. We felt like we got to talk to a lot of people. Uh we haven't mentioned yet, but Dove Diamond and her husband were there. They're they're on TikTok and stuff like that. We've known them for a few years now. And so uh they the last the two nights before that we had kind of seen them in past and hadn't had a lot of time to just sit and chat. So we actually, when we first got in the pool, got to hang out and chat with them for a decent amount of time, which was nice. Um and then we kind of you know moved around a little, not a whole lot, but again, like you know, Dan mentioned before, he's gotta go do a pool game every hour. So, you know, I would stay in and and and chit-chat and stuff. So so yeah, it was good. I had a really good uh day Saturday. Now, what I did not plan for is because we didn't bring our pool games, I was reliant on Splash and what pool games they had, which I didn't the the stuff they had brought, I didn't really know what to do with. There wasn't a lot of options there. Uh so I kind of had to make up some stuff on the fly uh that I don't normally do. So we I did a few different games. Uh we had everybody guess the size of Brandon's dick. Yeah. Uh which is he's has a big black dick. So Brandon is like a an employee for a contractor. He works with us uh at Electric Pleasures, he does at Splash. Um he's at I think he's at naughty. You see him everywhere, he was like um the workhorse of the lifestyle. I think half these parties wouldn't happen if it wasn't for Brandon. And he's such he's just a very a very good soul. Yeah, I did not know he had a 10-inch dick. He has a 10-inch penis, yeah. So I went up to him and I said, Hey man, I'm running out of games, but I got this idea for like uh uh, you know, playing it like the price is right, you know, kind of thing where you, you know, as close as you can without going over. Uh but dick size guessing game. I'm like, you down? He's like, Yeah, I'll do that. Because he knows he has a giant dick. So like, yeah, why not have people girls guess the size, right? Uh so yeah, we did that, and that was fun. I I did almost like uh uh I did that game where I had um wives answer like five or six questions, and it's questions like uh, where was your first kiss? What's your favorite position? What what do you think is the most sexy body part on on your body, right? And then so the wife's answer, and then the husbands had to guess what the wife said. So almost like a you ever seen those like silly couple, like yeah, it's like newlywed sort of type. Yeah, but you kind of geared it towards a lifestyle, which was fun. Yeah, you did the clothespin game where you had to pick the clothespins. Right. So the last to win your free um naughty New Orleans package, it was you get a bag of clothespins and it's you know, you get like a minute, and who can put the most clothespins on? The only rule is that clothespins have to be on your skin, uh which is a lot of fun. Uh I feel like they actually gave them longer than a minute though, because I feel like they were just getting started when uh when the time ran out. That's fine. But then if you get too weird, it's like you know. I mean it's plenty. Yeah. Um, yeah, and Tess, one of the owners of Naughty in New Orleans, was actually there to help give away the prize. She got to come out and do it with the very sweet human. Yes, very and great person for the lifestyle. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We hung out in and out of the pool. Um, we had lunch, which was, you know, their food was really good. So I enjoyed every time we had to eat their food. We stayed out there till again, till about four. Surprisingly, neither one of you got neither one of us got burnt by the sun, which is amazing. I put on the SPF 100 every single morning before I went out to the pool and then usually reapplied it at least once or twice during the day. Um, after the last secrets, I've learned my lesson because I got sunburnt pretty bad that time. Uh, and I managed to to get through it without getting burned. Yeah. Yeah. So after that, uh, we went to the room and rested. And our goal was to do the speed dating room crawl again, but we failed. We were tired. We were tired. We had laid, you know, we had laid down and um I I knew it would be a late night because Dan had a DJ, like the prime time that night. So I knew it was kind of be late. So we opted to not do it last minute. And so we just we were rested. We ordered DoorDash, we had our dinner, and then it was time for the night portion, which the theme, I didn't mention the theme for Friday was the themes were weird. The theme for Friday was post-apoc. What was Thursday? Thursday was super villain. F Friday was post-apocalypse kink. Yeah. And this night for Saturday was futuristic neon utopia, which honestly just sounds like a lot of adjectives. Just tell me what to wear, you know, like it was a glow party. It was a glow party, and some people did like a future glow, was kind of the vibe. In my mind, I was thinking aliens, which I don't guess that's really future. I don't know. I feel like everybody just did a glow party on on Saturday. And then Friday, everybody was kind of in fetish wear. Basically, yeah. So this night we did glow, and honestly, I was comfortable because I just had some shorts and a tank top on. It was super comfortable. Um, before we went, so you went and did um your sound check and stuff for DJ, and then you came back as I was finishing up getting ready. Dove and her husband had asked if we could do some TikToks together, which obviously we love that. So they came up to our room and they uh had two ideas for TikToks, and we did those, which we laughed the whole time because one of it, there's like the show Apex. Which I just watched last night, and there's like a trending theme, and so we did it, and it was it was funny. It was funny. We were laughing the whole time, and like we were running down the halls. We you know, usually our TikToks are like two seconds, we like knock them out. It's pretty simple, and these were a little bit elaborate, which was fun to do, but like we were running down the halls and stuff, and people kept coming out of the room, like, what the fuck is wrong with y'all? Yeah, sorry, don't mind us. Um, so but we got to do those, and then that was fun because we got to walk down with them and we got you know a little bit more time to spend with them. Yeah, I agree. So after that, it was uh we went to the party. You probably got there about like 30 minutes or so before you went on to DJ. So we got to dance and get a drink and stuff like that, and then it was really time for you to go on. Time for me to DJ, right, which is kind of crazy. So I was thinking about this earlier. This whole DJing thing was kind of it was started just because uh I wanted to make sure if a DJ didn't show up or was late or missed a flight that I knew how to put music on and so that our party could still have it. Like that's why I I learned how to DJ. I never had any intentions of being a main, you know, headline type DJ. Uh so but I really enjoy it. And and like you've said before, when I get into something, I get into something. Like it's hard for me to just half-ass do something, right? Like, so if I'm gonna do something, I usually try to learn all about it and and do it as best as that I can. And that's kind of how I've approached DJing. Yeah, so it's it it is funny to go from barely knowing how to DJ to now like headlining on a Saturday night. One of the biggest hotel takeovers technically you got paid, so you now are like legit and I did get paid a little bit of money to do this. So I can officially say I'm a professional DJ now. I got paid, so that makes you a professional, right? So now I'm a professional DJ. Uh, but no, I had a great time. I thought the vibes on Saturday was amazing. I like it when you play music and the crowd is dancing and they're singing with you, and when the song says put your hands in the air, they put their hands in the air and fans are clacking. Uh, to me, that's what this community is all about. And so it is, you know, when you're up there DJing, it's almost like you're the orchestra of a band kind of thing, you know what I mean? So when you play your music and see people respond to it in a positive way and can tell that everybody's genuinely having fun, it just makes you make you feel good. Yeah. Uh and it it it felt good to do that on Saturday. Yeah, you did great. I mean, I what felt like a little bit of a lost puppy, but I just kind of like bebopped around, you know. Like I would dance to the side, dance in the middle, you know, I'd go get a drink. And then at one point I went, we had to break down our table that we had set up. So broke it down and took everything up and I sat upstairs for like 30 minutes. I mean, definitely people were flirting with me, but I do feel like people I must give off don't talk to me vibes. I don't know, because I feel like a lot of people don't come up to me when it's just me standing there. Yeah. You know, I well, it's probably a few things. They're probably trying to be respectful, right? You don't want to like if somebody's husband was DJing, you know, if some hot girl is there dancing and her husband's there DJing, you don't really want to slide in and try to like you know what I mean. So it's probably that. I think people probably are intimidated of you, right? You're Lacey of the Swing Nation podcast, right? So I think that's which is crazy, you know. If you but if you think about the people we know and people that we've looked up to, like, you know, think back in the day, had you seen like John and Jackie at a at a party and and Jackie dance or John dancing by himself, you probably wouldn't have just been like gone up and been like, What's up, John? Yeah, like no, I get I get it, you know. Um, but I tried really hard to be like smiley and happy and like just cheer you on and stuff like that. But it means it was good. I we knew that like that we weren't gonna get to fuck anybody really or anything like that. We we knew that. So um you came off at some point and when I came off because I had to, you know, so I again I I went from like that 10 30 to midnight time frame. That's because that's kind of the headline slot. And then we did the same thing that we we agreed to do the same thing that we did the night before, which was go back to back from midnight to 2 a.m. Uh because honestly, usually the club starts clearing out around midnight and it can kind of get boring. So like if you're going back to back, it's kind of like you're just keeping each other entertained, you know what I mean? And you learn. I love DJing with other DJs because you get to see how they mix, you get to see you know how they do their song selection, you get to see, you know, where they're dropping their music and doing their transitions and stuff like that. So it's a good, you know, some of the most learning I've ever got as a DJ is going back to back with other DJs. So I just I just love doing it. And Justin, you know, is a really good DJ. So being able to be up there and see him do his thing, it really helps me. So I want to do it anyway, just for my own like personal growth. Yeah. Uh so anyway, I took a little break and went to the bathroom, and you weren't there. And I think I asked uh Justin's wife, I'm like, Oh, where's Lacey? And she's like, I don't know. She she left. I went to break down the table, so you didn't have to do it like at two o'clock in the morning. I thought, well, hell, I'll do it. And then I went and brought the thing up, and I was like, Well, I'll just sit here for like 30 minutes. And I did. I sat there for 30 minutes and I came back down. And you know, just like I text you and I'm like, hey, where are you? And you're like, Oh, I'm just up here chilling. You're like, Are you done? And I was like, No, I'm not done, but I just you know, I I took a little break to go pee. But so I came back about like 12 45 or so and stayed to like one, probably down there 30 minutes, and then started very good night, and I went up, washed my face, you know, kind of started to get things ready to go because we we had to fly home the next day, and a little while later you showed up and we fucked and went to bed. Went to bed. Yeah, I will say so. Around like so that you know, the the splash staff all showed up about like 1 45 because they're all in there to start ready to start breaking down at two. Uh and it was funny because they were all dancing, so like Kendra was in there dancing. Oh yeah, I hate I missed that. Some of the other like splash people were in there dancing, uh, and it was fun to just see their people like and me and Justin. I mean, we were throwing dubstep out there. He started playing some of his ratchet hip-hop, like booty shaking stuff. You know, I like that last hour, you know, you're just kind of having fun, like just throwing out random stuff and having fun with it. And uh, you know, at that time in the morning, the crowd, you know, they're probably a little drunk. And so they they love everything. Yeah, they love everything, yeah. But it was a good time. Oh, good, good. So it's it. We got up Sunday morning. Uh we had to fly home. Uh, we had a direct fight. We were home by six o'clock. It was easy breezy, and that was yesterday. So today is Monday. So it was it was a great weekend. Sad we didn't we didn't fuck anyone, but um it is what it is. They not all happen. And so we had some good sex. Uh I came a lot, I squirted a lot. We we uh yeah, we didn't and this is uh the prime example we always talk about all the time. Like you don't have to go to a swinger party and fuck everybody. Um you're gonna go to swinger party sometimes and and strike out. Me and you could totally have swapped with somebody if we had wanted to, uh, had we really pushed it. But I think honestly, we've we've been doing so much lately. We were just kind of we were kind of chill. Yeah, we also knew we had stuff coming up in the next few weeks. So, like, there wasn't a whole lot of pressure because we're like, we gotta get it in now because there's not, you know, we there's gonna be a lot of opportunities. So we were good. Agreed. All right. Well, huge shout out to Splash, their entire team. You guys killed it. Uh, all the DJs, the hotel staff there was friggin' amazing. Honestly, like I I love that hotel. Like, that was uh the hotel made it even better. The little girl bartenders had their fans and they were clacking them and they were having just the best time. Uh, so super good event, super good party. Thank you to Splash and all of their people and everybody that came to Houston and showed out. Uh, we look forward to the next one, yep. Uh, which is here in a couple weeks. We'll be in Chattanooga, Tennessee for uh Electric Pleasures. I think we're down to like something like five rooms or something like that. So if you're hearing the sound of our voice and you're gonna be, what is it, June 12th and 13th? Uh so if you're gonna be anywhere near Chattanooga, so yeah, you know, you're not far if you're in Atlanta, you're not far if you're in Nashville, you're not far if you're in Louisville, uh you know, Chattanooga's not far from a lot of places, uh, Knoxville. Uh come party with us, all right? Grab you a room. And you can do that by going to swingersociety.net and you'll see the EP Electric Pleasures Chattanooga event uh there. Go grab you a room. We're also gonna have day passes. I think they're on sale now. Uh so you can, if you're in that area and you just want to come for um, you know, the weekend uh during the day, or if you just want to come for like a Saturday day pass, uh you can do that and you can book all that on swingersociety.net. Uh, like Lacey said, we're hitting our busy season. So we're gonna be everywhere over the next couple months. Uh so stay tuned from that. We look forward to seeing you at Naughty New Orleans. We look forward to seeing you. Our HEO trip is coming up. Uh, and then before you know it, we're gonna be back at Secrets again uh this fall. But uh there's a ton going on between now and then all of our events that we um throw ourselves or attend are all on swingersociety.net. So that's the place to be to find out information. If you're looking to get to a party and you want to know a good one, uh we got them all broken down for you on swingersociety.net. Yeah. All right, anything else for the swing nation listeners, Lacey? That's it. All right, guys. I think with that, in a world full of apples, be the pineapple. Be the pineapple, guys. Bye. Bye.
