Poison Ivy (1992) is a cult erotic thriller directed by Katt Shea, starring Drew Barrymore as the titular seductive teen who manipulates her way into the wealthy family of her high school friend, Sylvie (Sara Gilbert). The film follows Ivy as she seduces Sylvie's father (Tom Skerritt) and plots to take over the family, leading to a dark and dramatic conclusion where she meets a similar fate to the family's ill mother (Cheryl Ladd). It gained popularity on cable and video despite a poor box office performance and spawned sequels.
