1408 is a 2007 psychological horror film starring John Cusack as Mike Enslin, a cynical author who debunks paranormal claims and decides to stay in the notoriously haunted Room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel, despite warnings from the manager (Samuel L. Jackson). Trapped inside, Enslin confronts terrifying supernatural events that force him to relive past traumas, blurring the line between reality and hallucination as he fights to survive the night. The film, based on a Stephen King short story, is known for its intense atmosphere, disturbing imagery, and multiple endings.
