Welcome to Gamble Gamble Gamble Die. I'm Steve. I'm joined by Pete. Pete, you watched some sports ball this weekend.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I watched as much as I could. I was um I'm still reeling about the the weekend uh the the the streaming services. This is not how it's supposed to be, man. We we there was a world where we all paid a lot of money for cable, and then all of a sudden it was like broken up into different things, and everybody was like really happy about this idea that like different entities would own different things, and now it's just turned into the shithole that we all thought it was gonna be and makes me very angry. Um The Masters was especially infuriating. I I watched um just to go right into it, I watched so Amazon Prime had two things you could watch that I saw, and otherwise you had to I figured out eventually, which isn't that hard, you just had to Google it. But what they had on Amazon Prime was they had Amen Corner, which is 11th, 12th, and 13th hole, right? Yeah. And then they had this other thing that was the 15th and 16th hole. So you had to get out of the A-Men corner to watch the 15th and 16th hole. Oh. But there was no 17th and 18th hole. So you're just if you don't then go to masters.com, which I couldn't figure out how to get it to work in any sort of successful way on my TV, I had to watch it on my phone. So I'm watching multiple devices here. Yeah. Uh and before that, I was just freaking out because I was watching like Saturday. I just I I was I wasn't as as into it, and I was kind of like, oh, that's messed up. I can't even watch the 17th and 18th hole. I'm watching, you know, watching Mackerolie go around. And then he gets the set the the 16th hole, and I'm like, okay. And then I go back to the like, maybe there's another option, and it's not. The other option is uh a seven-day um seven-day free trial of Paramount Plus. And I was like, my wife, every time I sign up for a seven-day free trial, like it gets it gets an email notification to her phone, and immediately she says, What are you doing? Why did you sign up for another free trial that I'll never ever cancel and we'll end up paying three three years until and it's three years from now, we'll realize that we paid$50 a month for the last three years because that's how good at financing I am or finance. Um, so anyway, the Masters was a joke. Uh and then as far as watching it, it was kind of it was interesting. And then once I got to masters.com, I was like, okay, at least this makes sense. But I had to watch it on my phone. And then and then also all I have is Peacock now. I I got rid of FUBO, which is like a hundred and something dollars a month and going up, and we ended up with just Peacock. And I really, like everybody else in the world, wanted to see Chelsea and Man City, but that one's not on Peacock. So you're watching all these like mid-table early games, and then all of a sudden, all of a sudden you're sitting there going, like, oh, Man City, oh, that's gonna be a good game, and you're like, huh. And then you realize that you can't possibly watch that. So I listen, I I at that point I mowed my lawn angrily listening, listening to it. Listening to it and mowing my lawn. That's how mad I was. I was like, I'm just gonna go mow the freaking lawn.
SPEAKER_04I mean, you definitely so in our house uh a couple maybe a year or two ago, because yeah, you just start adding things, you're like, oh, subscription service, this is still cheaper than cable, but then once you have eight or nine, you're like, no, it's not. Yeah, free trial ends. So we are trying to have beyond a rotation of only like three or four at a time. And so, like, okay, is there an off-season? Can we cancel this? All right, we're not gonna pay the premium, but we get MBA TV through the season tickets, or you know what? We're we're we can't have Netflix and uh Hulu and Disney Plus. We're not watching everything, we're just gonna have one out of those three, and you cycle through. Oh, you want to watch HBO, you got some HBO Max shows saved up? All right, cancel the other subscriptions. Um you know, so I can remember the you know the my earliest days of TV where you had the kind of like you know, UHF tuner, or maybe you had a little remote, and then it got a little bit more advanced than cable you had. It was free.
SPEAKER_02It was free, G. At one point, it was all free.
SPEAKER_04It was terrestrial or whatever they call it, bunny ears you were you were tuning. Yeah, it's free. And and I think you're I don't know if it was it was cable or just the remotes got more advanced, but at a certain point there was that last channel button. Yeah you could kind of pre- and I mean, so it used to be okay, I'm scrolling through all the channels, or then you could have the guide on the on the TV, but you could have like a last channel or a favorite channel. I'm feeling like that's that's the remote I need that jumps through all these streamers, especially with with live sports, or like go back to that last. I need some I need some hotkeys or something like that.
SPEAKER_02It's it's and you can flip back and forth. It is absolutely infuriating because like you know, and and it used to be when I had FUBO and and I was paying crazy amounts of money for it, but like to go from a game in FUBO to a game in Peacock, you'd have to like go back to the main start menu and then get into FUBO, and then it would ask for your which person's watching, and it's like, was it you or your wife or your cat? And then you're like, okay, it's me or whoever we just picked because it doesn't matter. And you know, there's six steps to get back to a game, and then it's like so you can't just flip back and forth, is what I'm saying. It's like, yeah, the last button, it was the way to go. Um someone's got programmed that. Put on the new Roku remotes. Uh the worst thing is also is I don't know if it's I don't know if it's my age or if it's uh or just the way the internet is now, but like I know the assholes that are making these decisions. Like I there used to be this world where Comcast was just this entity that you hated. That was that was fine with me. I didn't know the names of the people. I didn't I didn't know what yacht they like they I see. Now it's personal. It's it's terrible. It's all personal. It's it's you're you're watching it and you're just like, I know who you supported, I know who you support, I know I know I know who you divorced, I know who divorced you and then said that you they didn't like you and then gave away all their money. It's like it's crazy. You're just watching it going like, oh, but I'm part like I'm part of this world that I just can't, and I'm just giving you money. That's it. Like you just know. Yeah, it's just it's just infuriating the whole thing's just a bad experience. And if I didn't want to watch sports, I would not watch CV at all. I just I just would can't I would cancel it all. I I my wife is a librarian, I would love to just read and be better at reading and you know, and have physical media, baby. But no, no, I I watch because I watch sports, I try to keep up with these stupid freaking streaming services that just end up screwing me and then that was so mad maddening. The masters, it was like, how in the world are you not gonna let me watch the 17th and 18th hole without subscribing to Paramount Plus? It was just like, oh come on, are you kidding me?
SPEAKER_04I mean, you are on to something though, like that's the biggest contact content are these live is is live sports content contracts because there's not like nothing else, everything else can be asynchronous, or I mean to your point, and uh I don't know whatever this latest trend is with physical media or but if yeah, if you weren't watching sports, you wouldn't need any streamers, you just would need your DVD player or whatever and get your get your DVDs out of the library. You wouldn't have to deal with some tracking algorithm.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04I hate that too.
SPEAKER_02I hate that too because I think algorithms are great if you're really into yourself and what you do. But otherwise, for people like me that aren't really quite sure of who they think they are, like I just want to see everything. I just want I want to see things that aren't something that I would want to watch, and then just decide whether I want to watch them. Like, I I hate the fact that it's all designed to like manipulate me and sell me on something that that is like this or is like something I watched or whatever. Or, you know, like yeah, it's just like and then and then you and then you add the ads in that that might appeal to me into my phone, and it's like, okay, now all I'm doing is just like, oh, oh, oh, you know, like what is I just hate it. I hate it all.
SPEAKER_04Like, stop trying to like well, you're right. They're just they're selling you something. It's very disingenuous to say you might like what they want is just like click on this other thing. My latest example is I was watching a spy show with with like two female leads. I'm quite into it, and I'm like, oh, let me see what else they recommend. I love a good spy show to see what else. So, first of all, they're only going to recommend something that's on that streaming platform, and then either it's a crap algorithm or they're just trying to push something popular instead of here's another spy show or something set in the 70s or that's like has like a Russian connection or whatever, is just sort of like, oh, there's women in your show. You should watch the real house lives, housewives of LA. And it's like, no, so far off.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh, and you know what's great? What's great is that um my my mother-in-law is a very, very peculiar woman, and she has very interesting tastes. And I go down there and we set up her Netflix, or we watch our Netflix, and I've never seen any of the shows on there. She has this weird thing where she watches she watches shows that are dubbed in English from other countries, and she loves them. It's not it's not like she's doing it like my dad used to watch Walker Texas Ranger as kind of a joke. He'd like laugh at us and just be like, Yeah, this is great. And we'd be like, Stop it, and he'd be like, I got the remote. You have no chance of moving this. We're gonna watch Walker Texas Ranger wrestling or whatever. No offense to anything, not yucking anybody's yum, but he used to do it to torture us, and she does it like we she was like, You gotta watch this show. Oh my god, it's this show, it's in Mexico, and there's a bunch of kids jumping on a um a blow-up, like a blow-up house. Okay, and then and then the wind picks up and it blows this blow-up house far away. Not very good special effects, but blows it far away, and one of the kids dies, and then the families war each other, and there's like cartel, and there's like like bad people and good people, and they're all like, and it's but it's like the most emotional stuff, but it's also dubbed in English, so you're like not watching people's mouths move at the right time, and it's just like I was just watching and I was like, What in the world have I been watching for the last hour? She's like, No, it's really good. The next episode, and I was like, Oh no, those episodes, yeah.
SPEAKER_04You know, Kathy's a real plot person, she just kind of wants to know what happens next and is into the story that way, so she will always take uh a dub over subtitles because she can kind of like knit and just see what happens next. But I'm with you. I would I would rather yeah, I would rather have the original language and voice actors and performance, and I'll try to deal with subtitles.
SPEAKER_02I think also there's there's different um what what fascinates me about my mother-in-law is that like there's different like um you know ways that uh stories are portrayed in in other countries. It's not just Mexico. She'll she'll watch like a Japanese to a uh, you know, I think she's just fascinated by all of the world, and she's just like this is her outlet, and she's yeah, you don't have to travel, just uh go to Netflix and change the language. She's like so she'll watch these shows and and just the different like the different ways of things are just weird, and you're just like, which is fine. I I get it, and I I appreciate it, and I travel myself, but it's like you're just watching it going like what what I don't even understand why you're mad about this. Like, just like like why are you mad? Why are you saying why did you say that? Why are you so upset about this? Like these are all like it's just strange. It's just anyway. Um, I don't know where we where we're going with that.
SPEAKER_04Well, this is probably a bad time to ask this, but do you think I would enjoy watching do you think I would enjoy watching the Masters? I if you well I don't think so.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Do you play do you I don't know if you even play golf? Do you play golf?
SPEAKER_04I do not play golf.
SPEAKER_02The Masters is I don't know. I don't I mean I know a lot of people that don't play golf to watch it, but like I think that if you're gonna watch a golf event, that's the one to do. Okay. It's it's it's kind of like the the the big one, and and it's and and it's golf in all of its glory. It's it's it's itself, you know, everybody talking about how beautiful it is and how great it is, and this is the biggest thing that's ever happened. And they do, I mean, they do it to a certain extent. Pebble beach is a beautiful course to watch too. I always enjoy that. Um, but Augusta's kind of like the one um that everybody talks about. So if you're gonna watch it, the Masters is the way to go. But if you don't play golf, I think that it looks really easy. Like it, it's it's something that that it takes the frustration of of being out there and and not realizing that like, okay, like when I swing a club, it doesn't make the ball go straight every time. It's not you're not walking around with a caddy who's like also a scientist who's also measuring the wind speed and telling you where things are going. And um, you know, so when you play golf, you're like, oh, okay, I'm hitting this into the rough, and then it disappears, and you're like, where's my ball? And you look for your ball for 10 minutes, and that just drives you crazy. But then when you're the watching the Masters, it's like all this beautifully manscaped or well, manscaped, landscaped. Wow. Um anyway, it's this beautifully landscaped um course that you know thousands of people are are wandering around. It's it's it's quite a spectacle. I I if you're gonna watch golf, watch that, the masters. Okay. Um if yeah, yeah, it's it's worth a try. My my wife was like, I don't I can't believe you're watching this. This is so boring. And I was like, I get it. I I get why you say that, but you know, you if if if you don't understand golf, and you know, also everyone's seen clips of Tiger Woods, and you're just hoping something awesome like like he would do will happen again. And and there's always that situation, like Rory McElroy on the last on 18, I guess, hit it off to the right into the woods, and it was like, you know, he's up by two strokes, and you're watching and you're like, oh shoot, this could blow it, and then he comes back, you know, his next shot is just a genius, like back onto the the the fairway, and you know. So um there's always that. There's always some drama they make up. Uh the problem is the streaming services to get back to it. Well if you if you want to get back on that rant. Anyway, this has been a wonderful break of being just an old crotchety, angry for the the times that used to be.
SPEAKER_04Well, were you able to so I had to I had to work uh Friday morning and Saturday morning, uh, but I don't know if you got to watch any soccer, you got to watch any Premier League this weekend.
SPEAKER_02I got to watch one game. I wanted like I said, I wanted to watch the Man City Chelsea game, but I watched the game before that. Um yeah, I didn't I didn't watch that much. I well I kind of wanted to see some of the um relegation teams games just for our our little thing. Uh but I didn't get to watch very much this week.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that was the that was uh uh Hammers and Wolves on that was Friday, right? Yes. Yeah, that's one of the that's one of the ones I watched. That was that's sort of fun, sort of weird.
SPEAKER_02Four to nothing, right? Four to nothing. Bowen Bowen didn't get one goal.
SPEAKER_04Three assists, though. That was a good draft by you. I feel like we're jumping ahead. Um well yeah, I kind of I don't want to rush to a La Liga recap, but uh I can't believe we've been here for for 20 minutes. We haven't talked about how you're in first place. How'd you do it, Pete?
SPEAKER_02Uh I don't know. I don't know, and I'm not sure that'll continue, but I am enjoying it. And I think instead of calling me Pete from now on, just call me League Leader. Okay, if you'd like to call on uh proper titles. Yeah, if you'd like to call me League Leader from now on until next week. Um I don't know, man. Simon Saints kind of scares me. I look at his team and I'm like, oh, that's not good. Uh Brzee. Uh yeah, yeah, yeah. This is this is rushing into L'Aligory. But yeah, no, I I um I don't know, man. I'm just trying to, I'm trying to. This week I got rid of um V V D for my transfer. I got rid of V V D and I picked up uh Git Gabrielle, which seemed like a really good move for me. I'm trying to I'm trying to get rid of uh some money or some some uh bench, I guess is what I'm trying to get rid of. Um bench boost is done. My bench boost is done, so I'm good with that. I have one free hit that will probably be game week, what's 34? Is that the one where there's gonna be some blind game weeks? That's that's my plan, but um, so that's that. There's so many uh wild cards this week, so I'm glad I survived that because I think everybody everybody in our league had a wild card, right? Like there was like it was crazy amounts. Uh one, two, three, four, five. What was I looking at that had like so many wild cards? Oh, gamble, gamble, gamble, die has like all the wild cards. La League Ray I think we had six.
SPEAKER_04And one of them was Anton.
SPEAKER_02Top ten. Top ten uh Gamble Gamble Gamble Die League. I was one of two that didn't wildcard. Um which is crazy. But um, so yeah, I don't have any I don't have a wild card. Uh there's not much I can do chip-wise, and I'm just kind of hoping, praying to God, really.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we'll see how the wild card goes. I don't know if I like necessarily had to, but I felt like because I, you know, you get you get trapped into the bench boost, so I feel like, okay, next week with the doubles is the time to bench boost. If I'm gonna if I'm gonna get it, you know, bench boost and get a bunch of doubles, I really need to wild card ahead of time. But I didn't love bringing in Chelsea players. I hate I hated dropping Tiago against Everton. I knew I knew he was gonna brace. Um and then everyone else is dropping uh Arsenal players, which makes sense. I heard that that maybe like Rice dropped in price, and maybe he's not training. So yeah, I hung on to Rice and Gabby just because I have so much um uh salary tied up in them. And and Arsenal does have a good run of fixtures towards the end, and they should be pushing for the title. But then I'm gonna have like I'll have 12 players who are double game week for my bench boost, but then my actual bench will be Bruno and then two Arsenal guys away to City or whatever. So whatever stupid bench boost.
SPEAKER_02What a week Man City has Arsenal at home and then Burnley away. That's a weird one to try to figure that one out.
SPEAKER_04Like so, well, uh so I know you didn't get to watch the city game, and O'Reilly, I guess, was injured, but something like that.
SPEAKER_02I'll tell you what, when Gayhee when Gahee scored and I was approaching my garden in the back, I nearly nearly I was very, very happy to hear Gaehee scored. I actually stopped mowing for a second and sat down on my thing, and I was like, I was like hitting Gay uh re uh you know, I just kept hitting uh refresh on on FPL Game Week until the score came up, and I was like, okay, now we're good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I like uh I think yeah, maybe because I'm I'm doing chores or I'm out on my bike or I'm traveling, but I like listening, I like listening to the games if I can find a streaming.

SPEAKER_02Uh the FP the Premier League app. They have uh if you go to the games, that's that's the I mean it's the most sure thing, but if you go to the games or you go to the app um the Premier League app, and then you click on the game that you want to watch or hear, it'll tell you where it streams, or it'll tell you or you could listen to it.

SPEAKER_02I'm in uh yeah, that's the way to do it, man. That's that's that's that was uh that's what I ended up doing. And mowing the lot, which was good, because I needed to move the lot.
SPEAKER_04The question I was going to spring on you is if so let's say you decide not to free hit on the blank game week, but you decide to free hit in a double to try to get the best double game week squad you could. Who are the three Man City players you would get um for that double game week you mentioned?
SPEAKER_02I'll tell you what, man. I have the three that I would get. So I wouldn't that's the kind of the luck of this year for me. I mean it's Gayhee, Gahee, Semenyo, and Holland, honestly. Like I would hate I I still it's still bothering me that Holland's not scoring, but like I would hate the week the week that I take him out is the week that he scores. I know it.
SPEAKER_04I just I have to and and you would take a defender over like a third attacker like Turkey or something like that.
SPEAKER_02Turkey's interesting. Um I I don't know what his uh like I'd hate to like especially listening to the game like I did. I mean they were all the Turkey was like all anybody could talk about. But it what did he came came out at like 60, 70 minutes or something like that?
SPEAKER_04Uh let me look. Keep going.
SPEAKER_02Um yeah, no, he's he's super interesting. And uh and the reason I would have liked to watch that game, uh, because what he was doing sounded like magic and excitement, and uh um the problem I have with Turkey is that that he's not gonna score goals, right? He's gonna always assist. And and as soon as I think he's also that player that as soon as people are watching him, he's going to pull people off of the ball, as opposed to like because at some point you can't do what he does. So his most valuable part is to be flashy and exciting and then and then pull people's attention away from what's actually happening, where they can do things. Like, I don't think he's as selfish as I don't know. I don't know. I Turkey. I guess if you got Holland, Gehi, and Semenyo, I feel like Turkey is kind of unnecessary.
SPEAKER_04You would take that defender over a third attacker.
SPEAKER_02I would, I would, I would, I would, I would. I I think that first off, I think that the Arsenal Man City game is gonna be 0-0 or maybe 1-0 if at best. Really? I think that uh then Burnley is probably not gonna score on Man City. Yes. So that's gonna be a 2.
SPEAKER_04I I gotcha, I gotcha, I gotcha.
SPEAKER_02Um, so uh yeah, I don't think that yeah, all these these big games tend to be, I don't know. I feel like they tend to be less scoring than they're they're all just posturing for most of the game, and then and then somebody does some crazy strike, and you know you hope it's gonna be a good thing. That's my impression as well, yeah.

SPEAKER_02So uh what do you think? What do you think? What would what would you like would you think turkeys are viable?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean, I uh if you think City's gonna give up goals and you just want the city attack, which is always a place to go, I would say Turkey would be the third attacker. And it's true he's not gonna play 90, but he seems to be the one who's next most involved. And like Semeno and Holland are more likely to be the finishers. Uh I had O'Reilly. I thought he's sort of like you can get defender points, but he's part of the attack.
SPEAKER_02Now I don't know if that's gonna pay off, but no, that's he was he was that he was a lot what they were talking about too. When he got a goal, right?
SPEAKER_04Uh yes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's always, yeah, I mean, it's and then it's Pep also. It's like who knows what what like they seem to be kind of playing the same team over and over again, if I'm if I'm seeing it correctly. Like Foden doesn't seem to play anymore.
SPEAKER_04Um yeah, let me double check, but I think I think for the last three or four games, uh it's been he's been pep's been relatively consistent. So were we in the middle of a uh uh a La Liga recap? How far do we go? We we got we got really hung up with the person who's in first. And now and you're worried about the guy uh about Simon Saints because he still has his wild card and his bench boost and his triple captain.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. Yeah, well, he's probably gonna use his triple captain this week, but but for who? That's really the question. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, yeah. I I don't know. Brighton has a double game. I didn't even know there was a double game week this week. God, I'm feeling terrible. I know. I don't know. I don't know what League Leader Pete, how do you not know these things? I I don't know. We had a you know what? Honestly, we had a double two weeks off last week, and I stressed out for about a week trying to get this pod out last week, and then I realized that we didn't even have games last week, and then I was like, Oh, so I got a couple more days, and thank God for that. Because but that was like my primary focus last week was getting the editing done and all that stuff, and I was like, oh man. So that stressed me out, and then I kind of put everything to the side. I was like, you know what? My team's set as much as it needs to be, you know, as much as I can. Um so anyway, um let's see, yeah, yeah, this double game week's fun. Uh, and then double game week into a blank game week. That's crazy, Bill. Um that's a lot of blanks, too, man. Oh is there anything else crazy going on this year? Is that that's the last of it, right?
SPEAKER_04Oh hold on, let me go to my psychotic spreadsheet and I'll uh I'll I'll tell you. So my spreadsheet says that double game week in 33, blank in 34, double in 36.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we're gonna have double, we're gonna have to we're gonna have to use our free hit for the blank game week.
SPEAKER_04Otherwise, my team is gonna have to be like completely sh completely just and you prefer you prefer to use the free hit in a blank rather than like, oh, I'll just get nine or ten good guys out there and I'll use my free hit in like a double game week or to attack or something like that.
SPEAKER_02I I have I have too many man, I have three Man City players. That's that's my bench right there. So if if on the blank game week Man City not playing, I mean I have John Pedro. Uh yeah, no, I have too many players out. Like I I would it would hurt me too bad on the plus I think there's I don't know. I don't know. I feel like Yeah, it's gonna be much more fun to do this on the second week. And if I've already lost at that point, then whatever. Who cares? Um but yeah, I have I'm fine on a double game week. This is gonna be fun. Uh the the problem is it's gonna be the the going from a double game week Man City to a zero game week Man City is gonna hurt my team. So And that's where all my points are coming from too.
SPEAKER_04So it's like uh you know that's gonna Yeah, for me to make up ground here, I have to get lucky on the bench boost. I don't know how many other like if other people wildcarded into something similar and they're all bench boosting as well. I don't know if I'll make up ground against them. And then if we all free hit in 34, we're all gonna have the the same team. I'm not sure. Uh I'd be curious if listeners think there's gonna be much movement or or things are pretty stagnant the way they are.
SPEAKER_02Uh I'm starting to really worry about the gamble gamble gamble die league because uh that many people wildcarding sounds uh sounds like a bad situation for for my third place.
SPEAKER_04It's nice to be that good. I don't even go over there unless I'm I'm majestically in the top three of La Liguerie.
SPEAKER_02Uh I think that's the only time I've ever actually looked at it. I mean, well, the the only time I've ever actually looked at it, like as far as like they like, oh wow, I may be able to catch these guys. They're gone. They're gone.
SPEAKER_04So all the way down to third in La Liga Ree is uh Brizee's kid, who I feel like has was leading for 30 game weeks or something like that. I didn't sorry, I need Brizee to to remind me what the latest drama was. Not drama, but Brizee always posts these crazy things, and like well, I told him not to, but he did it anyway, and he he is still in first.
SPEAKER_02It worked for about 30 30 game weeks that he he was just doing wild wild moves. It was, I mean, the kid was on.
SPEAKER_04So I'm not so okay. So it looks like he started Ekatique and Timber, neither of which played. And Richarlison's a bad pick. And Calvert Lewin finally uh didn't return. Like it's they're not a bad pick, I don't think, and they're gonna be fighting Man City and trying to get all the points and all that stuff. So I I think that um I don't know. I think at this point you just have to go for teams that that are playing. Like, this is the only time of the year at the beginning of the year you might argue that teams are trying to get out ahead for whatever reason. But for most of the year, you can't really predict what's gonna happen, right? Like you if somebody's behind, they need to catch up on points. So maybe that is something that you can predict. But at the end of the year, you got relegation battle, you have uh Champions League battle, and all this, like so. You can kind of predict, like, okay, who's going for it, who's who's gonna try hard. And Arsenal, I mean, they have to win. They I think they just have to win. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Whether they do or just gonna hand them the league, they gotta win it themselves.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, you know, you know Man City is gonna be a thorn in their side on purpose and and try to win and peps last year and all that stuff. And like, you know, it's gonna be a it's gonna be quite a quite a show here at the end. So you gotta think that Arsenal and Man City are both gonna be doing well uh at towards the end here.
SPEAKER_04So um yeah, I'm looking at the table. I kind of think the mid-table teams that are safe are who you wanna play. Because rightly or rightly or wrongly, even though Chelsea, Brentford, Everton are all like uh around the same points, even Brighton is in there, they maybe are all pushing for Europe. But you get like a Newcastle that is just bad for whatever reason. Crystal Palace, who has a manager who I don't think wants to be there, Fulham, maybe Burnmouth now. I feel like they're all uh Sunderland is looking bad again. I feel like those teams like are tough to take players from because who's gonna play for them? And they're probably pretty cooked, right? So yeah, if you have an Arsenal or a Man City, or well, we're gonna circle back to our relegation draft, but also all those relegation or like uh Spurs, West Ham, Forrest. Forest, I do not think are good, but they're like as you say, they're all fighting for their lives.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. And I mean, yeah, I wish I saw the Spurs, but the Spurs game was another one that wasn't on the streaming service on Peacock, and I was like, oh god damn it. Like that's the one I that's the one I wanted to watch. I think it was on Saturday. I was just like, man. Um just briefly, are they they're gonna get rel. I think they're gonna get relegated. They they had, I mean, they had to win against Sunderland. Like, I think I think they're doomed. I don't know what I don't know what Deserbi's thinking going on, like, what in the world?
SPEAKER_04Kind of a I have to say when I hear that they haven't won in the league since December 28th or whatever it is, so it's been three and a half, four months since they've won a game. I really do think about whatever they've said about Gollum when he when he forgot the taste of bread. I think Spurs have have forgotten what it's like to win. And they're just they're just in a deep dark hole. I don't know how they get out of it.

Like he seemed sort of a secondary character that's just kind of sort of enforcing in the middle, middle of the field, as opposed to maybe maybe they didn't have any free kicks for him to do or what whatever it was, but he just didn't seem like he was that involved in a game. Whereas before I've seen him, I was like, oh, he's all over the place everywhere you go. That's that's the guy, you know. Like he didn't seem like he was that guy the last time I saw him. So I don't know. Maybe that's a a change of form, or maybe that's a uh a one-off or whatever, but um I have him also, so I kind of it kind of worries me.

They're just not people that know what they're talking about, and people that are like in any bad management situation, you have a person that's making the decisions, listening to people that don't make good decisions who he trusts, or they tr we'll say he most of the time, so he trusts, and then people behind them, and there's just this levels of stupid that are going up to this one person that's making a decision that is as researched as any, but it's just the wrong decision every time. And then you got like teams like Brighton, which are like always making good decisions, and you yeah, it's just you know, legions of fans that are just miserable, just and you know, like at if if nothing else, you can appreciate like Man You because they will storm the the stadium if something they don't like happens. Whereas Potten's are just like I mean, same with Arsenal, it's just like poop on us. We always we're always getting the dumb end of the deal. I don't know. Or or like or like my or like my commanders fans that just stopped watching football, and you're just like, all right, that's another way to do it, you know.
SPEAKER_04So well, let's pivot to something positive to wrap things up. Our boy Anton didn't crush it necessarily, but had a pretty solid week. I I have no idea why I did a wild card. And somebody please maybe it's hopeless for this year, but we gotta get back on a rotation for next season, or we gotta have some polls or some some group chaos think to get get Anton's recklessness back on track.
